Adobe Reader 9 and Mac OSX 10.5 - FDF Issue

I have an issue that only happens when using Adobe Reader 9 and Mac OSX 10.5.
When submitting a form from within a PDF, the FDF that gets sent is completely blank.
Tested on Mac OSX 10.4 with Adobe Reader 9 - no issue
Tested on Mac OSX 10.5 with Adobe Reader 8 - no issue
Tested on Mac OSC 10.5 with Adobe Professional 8 - no issue
It only seems to be a combination of OSX 10.5 and Reader 9. Does anyone have any clue about the settings of these two and what might be happening?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mac OS 10.4.11: I could not open pdf docs today (12-24-08), uninstalled & installed Adobe Reader 9.0.0. pdf docs icons changed but open, however cannot open Reader from Applications and get: Adobe Reader
Version 9.0.0
Installing/fixing installation
Then immediately get this error message:
Adobe Reader could not install correctly.
Adobe Reader was unable to install a necessary component
and must quit.
Any help out there for me?

Adobe Reader 9/Mac OSX 10.5.4/Internal Error after installing

Just purchased a new iMac with OSX 10.5.4 installed. I have 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Acrobat Reader v8.x won't run, so downloaded and installed v9 from the official Adobe web site. When I attempt to launch Acrobat Reader 9 I get the message "An internal error has occurred." I cannot go any further or do anything else. I've downloaded Reader 9 several times but the same problem keeps happening. I also purchased a new MacBook and Reader 9 installs and runs on that machine without any problems. Anyone have any idea why this might be happening on my iMac? Without Acrobat Reader it can really be a drag trying to work with PDF's.

First, I Moved to Trash all adobe related files/folders from /Users/*myaccount*/Library/Cache and /Users/*myaccount*/Library/Preferences. The only thing I did different, was after the app finally launched without an error, I dragged all the non-Acrobat Reader folders inside of /Users/*myaccount*/Library/Application Support/Adobe back to the folder. I then re-launched Reader just to check and all was fine.

Printing pdf with Adobe 10 and Mac OSX

After downloading Adobe Reader 10.0.0 I cannot print pdf files on my Canon MP620 printer. Snow Leopard Mac OSX 10.6.6 is my operating system Error message comes up "pstopdffilter/pstocupsraster failed with err. number 13". Can anyone help please?

After dealing with this problem for a whole day, this finally solved the problem. Not sure if it will work for everyone or if I just got lucky. Either way...
I threw out all Acrobat preferences (8 and 9). I uninstalled Acrobat Pro 9. Opened Acrobat Pro 8 and printed the files. I then re-installed Pro 9 and with both 8 and 9 open, I was able to print. Now Pro 9 works fine (without having 8 open) Not sure why this worked, since re-installing Acrobat Pro 9 alone didn't fix the problem.
Hopefully this might work for someone else too.

Adobe Reader and Mac OS X 10.8.4

I have installed Adobe Reader on my Mac OS X 10.8.4 but when I try to use the Application nothing happens. I can not view any documents in Safari (although before downloading I was able to). I have read a previous thread and tried to follow the directions but got stuck when I couldn't find my Library to trash the plug-in. (I have trashed the application itself.)

After download is complete, did you double click the .dmg file from your downlaods?
Once you double click the .dmg file , you will see the Adobe Reader XI.pkg. Now launch the Adobe Reader XI.pkg and complele your installation.
Let's try this again, make sure the Reader or Safari is not running while performing the below steps.
Please delete/Trash the below files:
~/Applications/ Adobe Reader
~/Library/ Internet Plug-Ins/ AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin
~/Library/ Internet Plug-Ins/ AdobePDFViewer.plugin
~/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.acrobat.pdfviewer.plist
Download Reader 11.0.04 from http://get.adobe.com/reader/ > Choose "Downlaoad Now" .
You would have a dmg file( AdobeReaderInstaller_11_en_ltrosxd_aaa_aih.dmg) in your downloads.
Quit Safari
Now double click on the above dmg file and you will see Install Adobe Reader application. Launch this application and complete your installation(please install with default settings for now).
Launch Adobe Reader from /Applications/
Accept EULA if prompted.
Open any PDF from your local system with Adobe Reader.
Load this url in Safari: http://www.stat.berkeley.edu/~census/sample.pdf or any pdfs from web.

L'imprimante (Canon MP610) n'est pas en cause car j'imprimais très bien quand j'avais un Power PC Mac OSX 10.4.
Le message d'erreur est toujours le même (malgré les dernières mises à jour Adobe reader 9.3.1 que je viens de faire) depuis deux mois que j'ai ce nouveau Mac:

Vu le nombre de fichiers qui sont maintenant à imprimer sous pdf, cela est très handicapant. Je contourne le problème en convertissant le fichier sous jpeg quand c'est possible mais cela prend du temps...
Canon m'a confirmé que cela n'avait rien à voir avec l'imprimante et les logiciels de gestions d'impression et me demande de me retourner vers Adobe.
J'ai pu voir sur de nombreux forums que le problème est rapporté par pas mal de gens mais que personne n'a encore trouvé la solution. Quant à Adobe, ils semblent complètement sourds aux questions qui arrivent sur leur site...

Je suis sous Snow Leopard OSX 6.2.
C'est visiblement un problème de rasterisation dans le RIP à cause d'un filtre.
Peut-être une MAJ du driver de la 610 à faire sur le site Canon?

If you just want to save a pdf opened in Safari to your machine use the save as option from within the Reader plugin window. Just click on any of the buttons highlighted in below screenshots to Save a pdf at any location on your machine.

To summarize the issue, if you had opened an Internet PDF in a browser plug-in, you must use the save feature in the plug-in, not the Safari File > PDF Export, or File > Save As...
Please let us know if this solution works for you and you are able to save and view PDFs files locally.

Back up all data.
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, there should be a setting in its preferences such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected. Otherwise do as follows.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others — I don't have a complete list.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there.

Can't view pdf; getting message to launch Adobe Reader and sign user agreement that I can't find.

I'm trying to view my son's 1098-T on his college's website, but keep getting the message "Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser."
When I launch Adobe Reader, I can't find a user agreement to accept. I have tried relaunching both Google Chrome and Adobe Reader several times to no avail. I've also redownloaded and tried to reinstall Adobe Reader, but it got a message it was already installed. I previously had problems getting the pdf to fill (the form was blank and didn't have my student's info), and reinstalled Adobe Reader before I realized I had to disable Google Chrome's pdf viewer, which I have since done.

First off, you CANNOT set recent documents to zero. The absolute minimum it will accept is 1. And on my MacMini, (I just checked it to be 100% sure) I opened seven documents with Recent Docs set to 10 - they were ALL listed. I set it to 1 and all but the most recent cleared. I then closed Reader and reopened it. The list was 1 item. I reset Recent Docs to 10 and there was still only 1 item in the list.
