Adobe Reader 'Basic' and LE 2.5
Hi
I updated to Symbian Anna and looks like some effort has gone into the Adobe Reader, it's noticeably faster for a file that is 20 mb in size. And it reformats quicky and I can use the multi-touch to zoom. Still no full-screen though which sucks major! I don't know why.
Anyways - I got this email saying I could upgrade to LE 2.5, for $10. What do you guys think ? Is it worth? I have a lot of IEEE only issues to read during my commute so I need the full screen feature (don't think LE has it though) but if the perf is better I could take it.
I don't really know if the LE 2.5 is the new one.... When I tried the trial version a few months back I saw that the C7 had come with the "Latest" while the website was selling the older one....

I recently had a similar email exchange with the QuickOffice folks...but concerning Adobe Reader for the E72/E73! I cannot begin to imagine how much money this company has lost by not keeping up with Nokia's line of phones. If they are still without full versions for phones released 2 years ago, I don't know when or if they will ever catch up. It redefines the phrase "asleep at the wheel".

If you are using Safari as a web browser :-
Open Safari, go to Safari menu > Preferences > General, and put Google as the homepage. Then, choose Google as your default search engine.
If you are using Google Chrome as the web browser :-
Open Google Chrome.
In the top right corner of the page, click the Chrome menu Chrome menu > Settings.
In the "Search" section, select Google from the drop-down menu.

Why can't I connect to the Internet on my Adobe Reader? And why do websites tell me I don't have Adobe downloaded when I have an updated version on my computer? It is an IPad,does that affect it?

Adobe Reader 9 and Mac OSX 10.5 - FDF Issue
I have an issue that only happens when using Adobe Reader 9 and Mac OSX 10.5.
When submitting a form from within a PDF, the FDF that gets sent is completely blank.
Tested on Mac OSX 10.4 with Adobe Reader 9 - no issue
Tested on Mac OSX 10.5 with Adobe Reader 8 - no issue
Tested on Mac OSC 10.5 with Adobe Professional 8 - no issue
It only seems to be a combination of OSX 10.5 and Reader 9. Does anyone have any clue about the settings of these two and what might be happening?

Saving PDF forms in Adobe Reader 8 and below
Hi everyone,
I've created a PDF form for a survey using Acrobat XI Pro, and I've also Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes form fill-in and save). I've tried it on Reader 9, X and XI, and I'm able to fill out the form, save it and email it back to myself. I've also emailed it to a few of my friends to try out the form and email it back to me, and most of them are able to do so.
But the problem is one of my friends who's using Reader 8 is unable to save the completed form. This message comes out when he tries to save it:
"This document contained certain rights to enable special features in Adobe Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and these rights are no longer valid. Please contact the author for the original version of this document."
I've tried reading about this problem online, but I can't seem to find a satisfactory answer anywhere. I'm not sure if anyone knows of a way to overcome this, or if it's just simply that Adobe Reader 8 and below are unable to save a PDF form.
Please help, I'm really at my wit's end.Windows Vista.
I'm trying to make sure my form works for every one of my respondents, as I can't be sure what kind of Reader versions each respondent will be using. -
Filling up a pdf form which I received as email. I opened it on my adobe reader 11 and filled up the highlighted fields. Yet when I click on the send via mail it says changes will not be included. How do I send the form with changes?
The add annotations field shows as not allowed in the security options. So how do I send this form back with the changes??I think you you need to click 'save' first, then it is saved to acrobat, where it will prompt to send.

I've deleted Adobe Reader 11 and rebooted and reinstalled Adobe Reader 11 and I still get the error message that 'Adobe Reader is blocked because it is out of date'. Using Windows XP with the latest updates (SP3).
Screenshots attached to email replies will not make it back to the forum; you need to login to the forum and post it in your topic using the camera icon in the editor.
Google Chrome is a problem:
if you use Chrome's own PDF viewer, the results are unpredictable.
if you use the Adobe Reader plugin with Chrome, it may reject (block) it if it is not the latest version. Reader 11.0.08 is the latest version for Windows XP, but Chrome may insist on the current version 11.0.10.
My suggestion; use a different browser! -

I am so sorry for the inconvenience caused & will try to get this issue resolved.
Please follow the below steps :-
Right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager.
Select the Processes tab, and select Show Processes From All Users.
Select any Adobe Reader process, and click End Process.
Repeat for all additional Adobe Reader processes.
Restart Windows & try to view the PDF's.
Let me know if you still experience any issue.

I have Adobe Reader XI and I tried to open a document download and a box appeared stating it was a password protected document ant requested a password. Were and how do I one?

If a PDF file is password protected, the only way to open that document is with the password. You will have to get that password from the person who created the PDF.

I need to add named destination in pdf when ms word is exporting to pdf that will support named destination in adobe reader 10 and 11.
I tried with options create bookmarks as word bookmarks but that also not supporting in adobe reader 10/11.
Please let me know how we can create bookmarks while exporting MS word to PDF.
And when we are opening pdf in IE with search parameter,its always opening PDF with 2 document on left serach panel.

Deleting Adobe Reader 8 and 9 after Upgrading to 10
I upgraded several months ago but noticed that Adobe Reader 8 and 9 are still in my Adobe folder under programs. Can I delete those folders/files or does Reader 10 need them??

Century gothic displays in adobe reader 8 and not in 9

I have created a pdf using adobe livecycle and i have set the address font in my header to Century Gothic. When i view the doc in Adobe reader 8, it shows it exactly the way i want. When i view it in adobe 9, it has changed to arial. Why is this happening? and how can i prevent it from changing when viewed in the different versions of adobe reader?
Also, it doesnt make sense to say that the font is supported in adobe 8 and NOT in 9. Surely capability should be backward compatible?

The document does not show the correct font in Adobe Reader 9.0. We have now downgraded our adobe reader on the server where we are printing the docs from. We have tried installing the font onto that server but that was also unsuccessful.
Please let me know if you have any advice for my problem.

I installed Adobe Reader X and i can't print PDF's without opening Reader first
Hi, i am using windows XP and i just installed Adobe Reader X onto a workstation within' my office. I use to have Adobe Reader 9 where i could just open a folder with my PDF's. For example, My Documents folder and right click on the PDF i want to print, without opening the file in Adobe Reader first and then clicking print. With Adobe Reader X, i can't do the right click option and print because nothing happens.
Is they an option in Adobe Reader X i need to turn on or off, to get the function of printing by right clicking on the PDF file without opening Reader X to print please ?Is it happening all the times or happened just in the starting when you hadn't accepted EULA?
Is it still happening after accepting EULA?
Also, can you please tell what printer exactly are you using? -

You mean, you are trying to search text in a PDF file, and you can do it in Reader 9 but not in later versions of Reader (using the same file)?

I am having trouble printing a PDF document. Whenever I click print nothing happens but when I am printing documents from Word, Excel etc they print without a problem. I've tried printing as image but that did not work. I uninstalled Adobe Reader XI and downloaded Adobe Reader X instead and that still doesn't work. I have Windows 7.
