Adobe reader for tablet

hi every one,
Does Adobe pdf reader for tablet or mobile has the read out loud feature,
if yes how does it work?

If you save it to a google drive it will only let the document be a "read only" file unless it is saved to the device also.

I have a new version of adobe reader for android on my tablet. Now there is no delete tab to get rid of old files

Sorry, I was asking about the version of your Android operating system.  But if your PDF documents are not stored on an SD card, it does not matter which Android version you have.
To permanently delete a PDF document from your Android device using Adobe Reader,
In the Reader home screen, tap Documents in the left pane.
Long press (press & hold) the PDF document that you want to delete.
Tap the trash can icon in the top toolbar.
Please note that there is no Undo for the Delete operation.
If you have many files that you want to delete, it would be easier to download and install a File Manager app and delete files at once.

  • Can not open pdfs w/adobe reader for android on archos 10i tablet?

I can not open pdfs w/adobe reader for android on archos 10i tablet? How to fix it?

Hi Dennis, thank you for the reply. I have Adobe Reader installed and open. When I click on the pdf documents an error message box opens and says "Error. The document cannot be opened beacause it is not a valid pdf document". Perhaps the pdf's on the USB memory stick are corrupted. I can't open them on the laptop either. I'll reload them and try again.

  • Suggestions for Adobe Reader for my tablet

I'm not sure if there's a better place to post this, so . . . in using Adobe Reader on my Nexus 7 tablet, I have a few suggestions for features:
It would be great if you could include a search function as you find on Adobe Reader for PC and (I assume) Apple. Not sure why this is not included in the tablet version.
When I open Adobe Reader on my tablet, it always defaults to the Recent Documents list. I would like it, if in the settings, you could have it default to open in the folder view; as it is, I have to go thru a few steps to get here which is a pain.
    Regards, David

Also, it would help a lot to have a "fit to width" display option, as on the PC version.  This would mean somewhat larger text (good) and a better fit to the 5:8 aspect ratio of most android devices.

  • How can I copy or print all text highlights in Adobe Reader for Android?

I read many tech books as pdfs. And highlight the parts I want to note.
Since I am now reading them on an Android Tablet using Adobe Reader for Android, I need to find a way to move my highlights to a separate doc when I am done reading. I don't see instructions for this anywhere.

    Thanks.
Kindle Reader will let me do that with Kindle books and docs that I buy from
Amazon, but not with personal docs (such as pdfs) that I import, unfortunately.
    Is a VERY useful feature!

  • After creating a form from an existing document, viewing it in Adobe Reader for Android only shows the form fields, and not the document behind it.

Using an existing PDF file to create an editable form that I can update on my tablet as I go, but when I open the file on my tablet (using Adobe Reader for Android), it only shows the blue editable fields that I've created, but not the actual form that's supposed to be behind it. However, it views properly on my PC. Am I not saving it out correctly?

Please share the sample file with me. I am sending you instruction via private message.
    Regards,

  • Adobe Reader for Android to play video embedded in a PDF document.

I am a medical  teacher. A large part of my teaching is technical and skills based and I have a lot of teaching video material. I distribute my material to my students as PDF documents with embedded videos. They can presently only read this on their PCs. It would be wonderful if I could place that material in a 7 inch Android tablet in their coat pockets. They could review a "how to"  video and text immediately before perfoming a medical procedure.  It is so easy and fast to prepare a Word text document, convert it to PDF embedded with a simple cropped video clip. Also the original word document can be updated in moments and be converted into  a fresh PDF with video in a minute later to replace the one on the student computer or tablet whenever. This makes the teaching material a living text easy to keep permanently up to date. To date I have not managed to find an eReader or Tablet that that I could play an video embedded in a PDF document. The problem is Adobe Reader for Android doesn't do this. Does anyone know of any other easy way to produce documents with embedded video that can also be read on a pocket size tablet or eReader?  Is Adobe going to upgrade Adobe Reader for Android to this ability sometime? Is there any other PDF reading app that can play embedded video?

GoodReader ($4.99), ezPDF Reader ($2.99) and PDF Expert ($9.99) are well rated and support many more features.

  • Does Adobe Reader for iOS have the ability to open inbedded links to additional PDF docs?  If not, then what would be the best way to use these already created PDF's?

Does Adobe Reader for iOS have the ability to open inbedded links created with Acrobat Standard to additional PDF docs?  If not, then what would be the best way to use these already created PDF's on an I Pad?

    driddy61,
As of June 2014, none of the Adobe Reader mobile products support the hyperlink action for opening a separate PDF document.
    Adobe Reader for iOS
    Adobe Reader for Android
Adobe Reader Touch for Windows 8
In addition, the Reader mobile products do not open multiple windows/documents simultaneously, which would make the navigation between PDF documents nearly impossible. (Once a hyperlink takes you to a different PDF document, you have no way to go back to the original PDF document.)
The only Adobe Reader product that fulfills your department's requirements is Adobe Reader XI (mostly for Windows/Mac desktop/laptop computers).  Acrobat Pro and Standard are paid products.
Because you are in search of a less expensive device for your department, you could get a Windows tablet instead of a Windows desktop/laptop computer. Microsoft Surface Pro (that you've mentioned in your previous reply) is just one example.  You can also find other less expensive Windows tablets.
    Tablets
However, please keep in mind that there are two different types of Windows tablets running two different operating systems.
    (a) A Windows tablet with an Intel-based processor running Windows 8.1 Pro
    Example: Surface Pro 3
You can install and run traditional desktop apps (e.g. Adobe Reader XI) and new Windows Store apps ("Modern" or "Metro-style" apps).
    (b) A Windows tablet with an ARM-based processor running Windows RT 8.1
    Example: Surface 2
You can only install and run Windows Store apps (e.g. Adobe Reader Touch) but not traditional desktop apps like Adobe Reader XI.
In general, type (b) tablets are more affordable than type (a) tablets.  However, if you want to run Adobe Reader XI, you do need to check the technical specification of each tablet and make sure the following conditions are met.
    Processor: Intel
Operating system:  Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 8/8.1 Pro, not RT
Hope this helps you choose the right device for your department.  Please let us know if you have any questions about system requirements or supported features in the Adobe Reader products.

  • Feature Requests - Adobe Reader for Android

Adobe Reader for Android is a good start, it renders well (and renders 2 pages at a time), and the UI is nice, but there are some missing features.
    Please can we have the following features added in the next update;
    # Bookmark support, including the ability to create and modify bookmarks.
    # A method of jumping to a specific page in the document
    # Ability to share the file by email
    # Ability to copy text
    # A method of searching text in the document
Thanks for the app, it looks promising, but needs the above features added to be a better app than Repligo Reader.

  • Open comment pop-ups for highlighted text (on Adobe Reader for Android)

On my computer, I use the software Docear which allows to import highlighted text and comments from pdf documents. This function in Docear only works, if the reader copies highlighted text into the comment fields at the moment of highlighting. When using a reader on a PC, the settngs can be adjusted in order that this works. (Preferences>Commenting>Automatically open comment pop-ups for comments other than notes).
It would be very practical for me to do this on my tablet (Android). However, as far as I know, this is not possible in the Adobe Reader for Android. Or is there any possibility to do this? If not, would it be possible to include this on a wishlist?

    Hi,
This functionality is not available for Adobe Reader on Android. However, we have made a note of the same and shall try to incorporate it in one of our future releases.
    Thanks,

  • Adobe Reader for Windows Phone without WVGA restriction needed

As a graphics designer for me it is important to use Adobe Reader on my Windows Phone 8 device, because of it's original developed engine compared to third party apps. This is important for vewieng my profesionally generated PDFs on my Windows notebook, tablet device and phone!
The Adobe Reader in the Wndows Phone Store (http://www.windowsphone.com/de-de/store/app/adobe-reader/bc4f319a-9a9a-df11-a490-00237de2d b9e?signin=true) is restrictes to WVGA, but all the actual devices use a higher resolution.
So, please support us Windows driven creatives with the whole range of your products!

  • Adobe Reader on Tablet

Hi. Help appreciated please. I have two Fusion 5 tablets - One 7 inch and one 9 inch. I have downloaded Adobe X1 Reader for tablets from the Adobe website for both. The 7 inch installed perfectly and pdf files I had downloaded were instantly readable. The 9 inch says it has downloaded and installed the Adobe Reader programme but when I try to open a pdf file an error message simply says 'cannot open file' and a secondary message says there is no programme installed which is associated with the pdf file.  However if I try to download Adobe Reader again it fails to do so saying Adobe Reader is already installed and compatible with the tablet in question.  The programme icon does not appear anywhere on the second tablet in programmes or app downloads so I cannot find it to delete it and attempt a reinstall.
Both tablets were bought on the same day from the same manufacturer and apart from the screen size are identical. Why do I have this issue please when the same procedure was used to download Adobe Reader and yet one works and one does not? The pdf files I am trying to open are identical on both tablets from the same source and are not password protected.  Many thanks in advance.
