Adobe Reader makes me sign-in even though the STAY SIGNED IN box is checked.

I love the idea that I can view a document on my PC and as long as I'm signed-in I can later view it on my hand held device. But even though I check the STAY SIGNED IN box, whenever I close out of the program then come back I have to re-sign-in. Why won't Adobe keep me signed in as requested?

I run Kaspersky and will have to study whether it is responsible for the problem. Under its Protection Center / Application Control there are a lot of Adobe listings and then a lot of things to look at there; many of which I do not understand. So, you may be on to something Pat; but if anyone knows specifically what I should look at in Kaspersky (or elsewhere) to determine if a specific setting is eating my Adobe cookies ... I would appreciate the guidance where to look and how to fix.

Sorry for opening a post with no doubt hundreds of others that have had the same problem. I just can't seem to get a working solution to which I have no resorted in making a post myself.
When I used "/showplaces" it says "You have 1 online endpoints:" And proceeds to give me details to my desktop. And to be double cautious, I use the "/remotelogout" command. Nothing appears so I am unsure if this command was executed properly or not.
I set myself to invisible and in my Tools -> Options -> General Settings. My "Show me as Away when I've been inactive for" is unchecked.
So after that, I click on Skype -> Sign Out. And with hopeful thoughts and praying that it worked, I check my relatives Skype in the next room and I am still appearing offline. This has been the case for over four hours without me signing back in with the hopes of it timing out.
What other steps can I take to resolve this problem? I've tried removing and re-installing skype with no avail.
These are my system specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Service Pack 1
Skype Version: 7.0.85.100
Without sounding harsh, I have no interest in the current development or which direction the company is trying to go in. Nor am I interested in what is trying to be achieved. I simply just want to be able to logout and appear offline as to be expected.

When I sign invisible, it remains in the same status as I previously was. For example, if i set myself to Do not disturb. Then set myself to invisible, I still remain as Do not disturb. Same with Away and Online.
I cannot even set myself as Invisible.

When you say you have changed your Apple ID, how did you change it? Did you maintain your existing Apple ID via Manage your Apple ID and EDIT it to a new email address, or did you set up a brand new Apple ID?

FF tabbar does not appear even though the option is checked.

I just got a new hard drive and installed FF 12 and transferred my profile. My profile was from FF 11 and I just hadn't gotten around to updating. My profile and everything works fine so far, but every time I start FF the tabbar is not there. I must manually go under view and check tabbar each and every time, even though the option "always show tabbar" is checked under tools>options>tabs.

Open Adobe Reader | Edit | Preferences | Documents: change View Documents in PDF/A Mode to Never.

If I may impose on your generosity one more time, if I understand you correctly if I create a document on Word or WordPerfect, print it and scan it to create a pdf, the search function will not work. But, if I create the pdf document in Word the search function will work. Unfortunately, I am not sure how I create a pdf document in Word other than by printing it and scanning it. You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.

I open up yahoo and my messenger (no the full version) the one you can use in your mail. Now that I have opened I can't close it even though I hit sign out again and again. Please advise.

I am new to using a mac I have an older version. But I have used firefox on my pc before. I downloaded it and went to open messenger. Not the full downloaded messenger but the one you can access when in your mail on yahoo. It opened fine but now it won't close, even though I hit sign out again and again. I have tried force quite, uninstalling and reinstalling and still every time I sign into yahoo on firefox there is my messenger list open. For privacy issues I really need to be able to open and close it.

To get Gmail one has to click on "more" which gets one a dropdown menu which ends in "even more" Clicking on this takes one to a page headed "Even More Google Products", including (Hurrah!) M Gmail.

Very occasionally, instead of Books or Shopping on the Start Page "Gmail" is there which when clicked on takes one directly to one's e-mail.It seems a hell of a rigmarole just to get one's e-mail!

If the keep me signed in option is not working, you may have a malformed cookie. Try deleting Google/Gmail cookies, for details on how to do that see [[deleting cookies]].

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

Thanks. I do not think that the phone is stolen as I have been able to get it unlocked and surely the phone would be repoted stolen and blocked. What I do not ubderstand is that I thought icoud was just somewhere to back up your data instead of saving it to your computer if that is the case why is it stopping the actual hone from loading the previous owner rest it to factory settings before selling it but refused to get it unlocked. The phone would work with a Vodaphne sim as I understand it althought I did not try before i gave it to a shop to unlock. surely they would have knon before unlocking that there was a problem with icloud and that they woyld not be able to do it. The phone shop are insisting tgat I pay £40.00 for te unlck which they say is done or tey will not et me have the phone back does what they are saying seem right and is it reasonablefor them to expect me to ay for a dud phone??
