Adobe Reader Mobile hyperlinking

Does adobe reader mobile for android have capability to hyperlink both internal and external?

Hi fred,
Adobe Reader on Android does not have this capability.
You can 'Add comments' and 'signature' though.

  • Saving fillable PDF file in Android Adobe Reader Mobile Application

I'll do my best to explain my situation.
    1. I open the fill-able PDF file from Google Drive with Android Adobe Reader Mobile Application.
    2. I fill out the pdf form using the Android Adobe Reader Mobile Application.
    3. Once I'm done filling-in the PDF, I would like to save the file in a specific folder in Google Drive.
I cannot find any saving option within the Android Adobe Reader Mobile Application.
The only way around saving was the "Sharing" feature.  It allows the user to share the pdf file using various android applications such as Google Drive, Email, and Evernote to share the file.
This does not allow for overwriting of the original file.  Therefore, you will create a new file every time you share the file.
I wanted to know if there was a way to save the file under the same name to overwrite the same file in the Android Mobile version.
    Thanks in advance.

You need to duplicate(and/or rename) it first (after finding it in the "Documents"  menu tab), then fill it out. This is the workaround for the missing Save/Save as menu. Once you fill out something, and leave the application, the document will be saved automatically.

  • I have an editable pdf made in Acrobat. Viewing it Adobe Reader Mobile (Android) and I can fill it fine. I want to be able to fill the form but it keeps autosaving. I just want to email the form and then it goes back to an unfilled form. How do i do that?

Currently, Adobe Reader for Android does not provide an option to disable auto-save.
In the Reader home screen (where your files are displayed), you can make a copy of the original PDF document, open the copy (instead of opening the original document), make changes to the copy.  Once you email the copy, you can delete it.
For more information, please see Help > How To... > Copy, edit, delete, manage.
Although it is not the most convenient way to accomplish the task, that's the only feasible workaround that is available in Adobe Reader for Android right now.

  • Where could I get the Adobe Reader Mobile 9 SDK?

I am develop a windows mobile 6.5 application and want to do some tests on viewing PDF file with the mobile.
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/readermobile/
I followed as above instruction to mail to [email protected] several times but returned with Mail Failure each time.
Then where could I get the Adobe Reader Mobile 9 SDK, please? Thanks.
    Besk Regards

    You sure?
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/readermobile/
According to the text of that link, the Reader 9 Mobile SDK supersedes the 2.5 SDK. The same page has a link ot a request form, which I guess could get the ball rolling for a proper conversation on the SDK and whether Reader 9 Mobile would work for you.
I just reread your message - obviously you tried there already. I'll have a dig about see if I can rustle up some extra info for you.
    HTH.

  • Saving annotations on Adobe reader mobile

I am running Android Adobe Reader mobile and cannot save annotations. This has become extremely frustrating as annotations take a good deal of my time and not being able to save them on my device makes annotations on that device useless. My question to the forum is first how can i save annotations I have made directly on to my device and secondly if it is possible to have the device autosave after annotations are made on a continous basis. Thank you in advace.- WR

  • Licencing for Adobe Reader Mobile

Am I able to use the free version of Adobe Reader Mobile (iPad) for commercial use?

There is no restriction on who can use Adobe Reader for iOS. Anybody can download and use the application, whether they are a consumer or using it for business purposes. In fact, we like people in businesses and non-profits using Reader, because the whole purpose is to enable rich communcation among people and organizations.

  • Adobe reader mobile geospatial tools

Is it possible to enable geosptatial tools on adobe reader mobile?

There is not a way to sync between your computer and iPad. Any files you upload you can view using the website (https://creative.adobe.com) including previewing each page. You can make comments too, but not directly annotate the PDF. You can get a free trial with 2GB of storage so I would suggest taking a test drive. That will easily let you see how PDFs are handled.
For PDF reading on the iPad I prefer any of the many e-book readers that are available.

  • Is it possible to achieve Interactive PDFs with Adobe Reader Mobile Software Development Kit?

    Hi Guys,
Is it possible to develop mobile solution on iOS to support Interactive PDFs?
Interactive PDFs here means, a PDF might contain textfields, labels. And User should be able to edit those textfields & save the value in PDF.
    Thanks.

Hi, it is not possible with PDF format.  Interactive elements are now supported through EPUB 3 in Adobe Reader Mobile SDK since version 11.

  • Can't open interactive form with adobe reader mobile version

    Hello,
I have an interactive PDF document which I would like to open with my mobile phone (Android) and the adobe reader. If I open the document an error message appears.
Do we need to adjust the script to enable interactive forms also on mobile devices? The pdf document can be opend on my PC without issues.
    Thank you

    Hi,
Based on your description, I believe that the PDF Form that you are trying to open and fill out is an XFA form. Mobile Reader currently cannot display XFA forms. For these XFA PDF files, you will need to open them on your desktop Adobe Reader to read and fill the form.
    Thanks,

  • Layers using Adobe Reader mobile app

I have created construction drawings for my company that can be customized in Adobe Reader by turning on/off layers.  (example:  construction detail  )  I understand that you cannont manipulate layers on Adobe Reader's mobile app.  Any chance that this might become available in the near future?

Yes you can use the RMSDK to create an Android application.  The biggest cavaet is that RMSDK is C++ based, where Android development is most naturally done in Java.  So you have to choose between creating JNI interfaces (not provided with RMSDK), or creating a non Java application using the Android NDK.

  • Adobe Reader, Telnet Hyperlink Problem

Hi, I met a telnet Hyperlink Problem in Adobe Reader.
When click the Hyperlink (like telnet://a.b.c.d), Adobe reader gives me a Alert:
Acrobat does not allow connection to: telnet://a.b.c.d
And I also need to open this telnet hyperlink in web browser with Adobe reader plugin.
Would you please give me some help?

Acrobat and Adobe Reader recently closed off access to custom protocols. Telnet is a standard protocol, but I can't see Adobe leaving it working.

  • Adobe Reader Mobile / Adobe Professional 8.1.5 / Kindle DX

We have recently purchased a Kindle DX and are attempting to load PDF documents watermarked with Adobe 8.1.5. When these documents are ported to the Kindle DX, the document either crashes the Kindle or the page turns are extremely slow, 7 to 10 seconds per page. All watermarking is being done on Windows XP. A few questions:
Are there compatibility issues with Adobe Mobile Reader and Adobe Professional 8.1.5
Should we upgrade to Adobe Professional 9.x?

Thanks for the quick response, but I have read on multiple sites: http://blogs.adobe.com/billmccoy/2009/05/amazon_others_l.html that Amazon incorporated Adobe's Reader Mobile Technology. Is this not true? If it is, what does this technology give to the Kindle DX?
"Amazon today announced their new large-screen Kindle DX, including that they have integrated PDF via Adobe's Reader Mobile technology, giving users instant access to millions of business and personal documents. The integration of PDF technology allows users to simply email PDF files to their Kindle email address or quickly move them to the device using a USB connection. The Adobe SDK also supports PDF reflow, so that text can automatically adapt to the screen size, allowing users to consume PDF documents with an enhanced reading experience."

  • How do you add preloaded shapes to mark up PDFs on the Adobe Reader Mobile App?

I have Adobe Reader on my tablet.  I need to be able to make clean markups on PDFs when I do surveys.  I need to be able to draw straight lines, circles, arrows, and polygons neatly.  I am not able to do it with the free hand tool cause it is too messy.  Is there a way to add preloaded shapes when marking up PDF drawings?

    Hi,
Unfortunately, this functionality is not available in Adobe Reader on Android. We have made a note of the same and shall try to incorporate it soon.
    Thanks,
    Adobe Reader Team

  • Can the adobe reader mobile app open standard password protected AES256 encrypted files (not Livecycle) made by Acrobat XI?

I downloaded the adobe mobile reader for iOS just now and tried opening a pdf file created by Acrobat XI and optimized (no errors reported) for web and mobile devices the file was password encrypted  (*not livecycle*) using 256AES, compatibility acrobat X with restrictions allow: none, printing  allowed low rez.
when acrobat mobile reader launched the pdf it required a password and even with the correct password used for changing security settings failed to open.
how can people secure pdf's from unauthorized editing their work in Acrobat XI using (Acrobat X compatibility), standard password protection using AES256 bit encryption and open using the adobe mobile reader app ?

I actually need at least three people to successfully open my free pdf using the Adobe Free acrobat viewer for mobile devices or my client want to remove the access for mobile devices link.
Can anyone test please the free pdf that it opens on iOS or Android ?
