Adobe reader and Flash player are two different softwares of Adobe.
Please try to install latest version of the softwares from www.adobe.com (scroll down to mid of the page) , these softwares are free from Adobe.
If you are facing problem with any of these softwares , than please mention the error message and operating system details.

Since adobe reader updated to X, it has not worked correctly. It will run for about 10secs then will give "Not Responding" message and screen will turn translucent white (or gray). My operating system is vista, the reader version is 10.1.4. I've turned off auto updates to keep it from going to version 10.1.7. That version is totally non-operating on my system. Reading in web based documents is non-existent so I've turned that off too. Try going into the 3D tab to turn that off (read that might help) - forget it, not happening. At my wits end, trying to get this to work for days now...

Help w Adobe Reader not installing

Hey everyone, I'm looking to get some insight on why my Adobe Reader will not install anymore on my Macbook Pro, 2013 Retina Display, utilizing Mavericks OS. I recently uninstalled Adobe Reader, disliking the fact that since I had installed the program my browser by default would utilize the program as a PDF viewer, which I found dauntingly slow and irritating compared to the previous program it used.
Since I uninstalled the program however, I realized that all PDF's when viewing on Safari need to utilize the program, therefore causing the problem as I need to view and download PDF's for school.
I've continuously tried to reinstall Adobe Reader but to no avail with error messages coming up halfway through the installation process, stating that the installation cannot be completed. Does anybody know how to fix this? It's urgent.

You should contact Adobe Support and/or post in the Adobe Forums since it's their product.

Adobe Reader Not Installed

I am trying to access a website where I complete forms online for Arkansas Real Estate. I cannot enter the site because it says Adobe Reader is not installed. However, I have installed this application 5 times now. I have uninstalled all adobe applications and reinstalled them. I've shut down the compter after each installation and still get the same message. I have an iMac.

My bet is they are running software that only works for Windows computers. You may have to contact the webmaseter of the site.

i have downloaded adobe reader 10.1 and did the installation im running windows xp sp 2 and when it says installation sucessful i go to start all programs and click on adobe reader and then pops off a window saying acrord32.exe-entry point not found the procedure entry point getprocessid could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll. someone please help what do i do

Adobe Reader on WIndows XP 32-bit needs to be updated to SP3 for Reader 10.1
I don't know if that's the source of the problem though.

Some websites I NEED report Adobe reader not installed and will not work.

websites i use test for Reader, if not found they will not allow login. i am dead in the water.

There is no browser plugin for Adobe Reader for any mobile browser. http://www.adobe.com would be responsible for developing that.

PDF Reader is not printing the document except as an icon in the bottom right hand side of the printer.

You will have better luck live chatting with Adobe or your printer manufacturer.

Why wouldn't an Apple file D/L into an Apple browser?
Likely due there being a non-Apple plugin trying to handle it & failing.
Look in Home/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ and HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ for any plugins with 'pdf' in the name.
Remove any you find - either trash or take to the desktop, restart any browsers, then try a pdf.

"Adobe Acrobat could not install correctly"

Has a fix been found yet for this damn annoying problem.
I get this message regularly on my Mac G5, Leopard 10.5.2. I must have reinstalled the program about 5 times by now. It works properly for a few days, then this-
"Adobe Acrobat could not install correctly"
"A required component was not found, please restore the Adobe Acrobat folder from your original CD".
Doing a forum search, I noticed people were having this same problem as far back as October 2007. Has it been resolved yet, and if so how?

I discovered that when I initially install Acrobat it works fine. However, after I run the program Monolingual, which removes languages and architectures that my Intel Mac does not require, Acrobat has this exact failure.
I went to Monoligual's website and in their FAQ's they address this issue. (http://monolingual.sourceforge.net/faq.php) You simply need to add the Acrobat folder (/Applications/Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional) to the Monolingual preferences list and then uncheck both boxes. Also, with Acrobat Professional 8.1.4 you need to add the folder /Library/Printers/PPDs to the list and uncheck both boxes, because Monoligual will delete four Asian Language folders from this folder and Acrobat will give you an error if they are not there.
So, if you use Monolingual, or some other program that removes languages and architectures, this might be your solution.

Please re-install iTunes. Error 7. Windows error 126". I now can't sync my iPhoneand I am worried that if I re-install I will lose all my contacts,calendar, notes, etc.

I too had this problems (Windows 8.1). A few weeks ago after the previous update before this version of itunes, I'd had a problem with the itunes store crashing and at that time I followed instructions to copy QTMovieWin.dll to the itunes folder, which fixed the store crashing.
Today I fixed the problem by:
Delete QTMovieWin.dll from C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Uninstall ALL Apple Software using Control Panel / Programs and Features. I uninstalled:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Mobile Device Support
Apple Application Support
Apple Software Update
Bonjour
Delete the folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
Restart the computer
Reinstall QuickTime
Reinstall iTunes
Everything works GREAT now, including the iTunes store. You will not lose your media files, I got everything back, all my settings, playlists, etc.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Adobe Acrobat Reader Not Installed.

Trying to open link to pdf file from IE8 using Windows 7 64bit and pdf file will not open "adobe acrobat reader not installed". Yet I can open PDF files outside of IE8. Adobe Reader X is installed. Have tried remvoving, reinstalling, running app as admin. Have tried different version of Adobe Reader and same error. This same link works fine when opened with Google Chrome. Any suggestions?

The downloads are probably .dmg files (disk images). You would open the disk image (double-click it) to find the application or an installer. If it's the application itself, you then drag the application to your Applications folder to "install" it. If it's an installer, double-click the installer to run the installer that installs the application.
NOTE: If you iMac is Intel, it's not a PPC G5.
