My email address has been confirmed, but is rejected when I try to sign in Adobe Reader.

Adobe Reader doesn't require a sign in. Are you trying to access acrobat.com or one of the related services such as ExportPDF or CreatePDF? If so please repost in the forum dedicated to that service.

You have to put something to:
Preferences > Export > UserPrep File
I have 'whatever' and it works just fine.

  • Adobe Reader sign problem

I installed Adobe Reader 11 and the sign option went away for certain users.  Does anyone know of user specific preferences that would cause this?

It is a known problem in Adobe Reader for Android version 11.5.0.  The fix for the problem will be included in a future release.
In the meantime, please try the following steps for a workaround.
    Open a document.
Tap the Comments button in the Document toolbar.
Tap the Signature button in the Comments toolbar.
Tap where you want to add a signature.
Select Edit Saved Signature (if it already exists) from the menu.
Please let us know if you encounter any problems with the workaround.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Is Firefox compatible with Adobe Reader 9 for accessing pdf downloading websites?

I was offered a free pdf by Health Sciences Institute at the following:http//www.agoralifestyles.co/HSI_HeartRprt_UK.pdf
    which had been automated electronically.
The URL appeared to have been accessed but the page was blank.
A similar occurrence took place with GINALE SKINCARE at:

I have never had this problem with Mozilla Firefox until recently.

You can get that error if there is still an old Adobe Reader plugin in the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder.
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\nppdf32.dll

  • Adobe Reader Sign with Certificate

    Hi Guys,
I am using Adobe Reader and as well Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I have setup the sign with certificates successfully. We noticed when a person signs a document it marks a green tick on the document and says it is signed. But when we send the signed document via email to other person, and when the other person opens the documents it says "There is an issue with the certificate"
Can you please assist in fixing the issue?
Why is this happening in both Reader and PRO?
    Thanks
    Babar

    Hi,
Please update the Reader to 11.0.07 and then check the options.
Go to Help -> Check for updates.

  • Why does Adobe Reader installer require access to My Documents?

I was trying to install Adobe Reader 9 on a system and was unable to complete because it was unable to find the My Pictures folder on a now non-existent network share. The user the installer was running as has their My Documents (Including My Pictures) redirected to a working share. I don't know where it was looking to find the path it couldn't find. Why the dependence on My Documents? I tried installing Adobe Reader 6 (they were running Adobe Acrobat 5 still) and it ran into the same problem trying to find My Documents.
I finally gave up and installed Foxit Reader which is working for them.

It is not recommended that Reader and Acrobat be installed on the same
computer. Lots of errors and other difficulties. Your errors may be one
    of them.

  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0     Access Denied error?

Running as an Administrator in Vista Home Premium 32 bit, I am unable to upgrade Reader 9.0 due to the above message during installation of Reader 10 (Run as Administrator). When I check the properties of the 1.0 file folder I get "Unable to display current owner." and I can not change the owner to change the access to allow an upgrade. I have tried dropping down to DOS and changing the attributes without success. I can not delete this file folder from DOS or Vista   in order to install a Reader update. Other tricks like renaming or moving it to another file folder are also met with "You do not have sufficient privileges". How do I get around this problem short of invoking Debug, prying the magnetic bits off of the hard drive with my teeth, or firing up a blow torch? (I'm out of liquid nitrogen but I do have a hammer.)

This folder contains an essential files used to update Acrobat or Reader
Acrobat or Reader installers do not set special permissions on this folder (or it's parents)
I can think of two reasons for this issue
    1. You have antivirus program that keeps this folder locked for some reason.
    2. Your system is infected with actual virus

  • Why signed and get "access denied (java.io.FilePermission hello.txt read)"?

I am learning the Java tools and policy to create some local browser application for personal use. So I signed a jar file with jarsigner, keytool and policytool and still trying to figure out why my browser application cannot read a simple local text file.
    My question are
    1. Why use java policy tool (policytool.exe)? If I signed a .jar with keytool and jarsigner, do I really need java policytool to write a policy?
    2. What is the maximum validity days? 365? or more? Do I need to sign again when validity expire?
    3. I don't want any of my local browser application gets to internet but only work with local files (read, write, or execute). how do I do that?
    4. how to use java security policy to grant access to the jar applet? where do I place and import the policy file so the hosting web browser and the applet can work?
My java applet is a simple class that read a text line from a local file in the same folder, and pass the result to a calling web browser Javascript.
Currently the result in the web page is the error message below, even though the jar is signed correctly.
    access denied (java.io.FilePermission hello.txt read)
Someone please help and enlight the newbie!

No. In fact, don't stuff around with policy files - they are a path to madness.
    2. What is the maximum validity days? 365? or more?Keytool accepts an argument for the number of days to remain valid. I do not believe it has an upper limit, but it might be best to experiment with it and find out for yourself. Please report your findings back.
(2a) Do I need to sign again when validity expire? No, but the end user gets a huge warning that the certificate has expired. Further, if it was a certificate that was certified by a CA, the 'always trust' check box which used to default to true, would now default to false.
    3. I don't want any of my local browser application gets to internet but only work with local files (read, write, or execute). how do I do that?I am not sure I understand, but if you only offer a JFileChooser for the applet to access resources, that should restrict it to resources off the local file-system. Of course, that would not restrict the end user from downloading something from the internet to their local disks, then accessing it using the applet.
    4. how to use java security policy to grant access to the jar applet? where do I place and import the policy file so the hosting web browser and the applet can work? The only place it will work is in the JRE directories of the end-user's machine. Even if you find a way to install your local policy file, do not go messing with the end-user's policy files.
My java applet is a simple class that read a text line from a local file in the same folder,.. In the 'same folder' as what? (1)
..and pass the result to a calling web browser Javascript. That might be the problem. AFAIR, using JS with trusted applets causes the security to be tightened. Perhaps it could be fixed by calling System.setSecurityManager(null) on applet init(), but I have also seen references to using [AccessController.doPrivileged()|http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/security/AccessController.html] to wrap the problematic code. I am hazy on the details of how/if that works.
Currently the result in the web page is the error message below, even though the jar is signed correctly.
    access denied (java.io.FilePermission hello.txt read)
    1) If the answer to my question is what I suspect, there may be better ways to access the resource that are usable even in a sand-boxed app.

  • Adobe Reader X Problem signing online PDF

This issue has started a couple of weeks ago. Users are running Windows 7 and Adobe Reader X.  When accessing a PDF online users are unable
to digitally sign with certificates. When trying to sign it asks them to save the document. If they save the document then it will allow them to sign, However
they are no longer working with an online document, but rather the one they saved on their desktop. They need to be able to sign on line because the form
needs to be submitted on line.
I have already checked the preferences for internet and it is selected to open pdf in a browser. When going to the security configuration the certificates from the CAC card are available and selected as sign with.
Anyone have any ideas? Our support for this issue is on another network and they are not having this issue so they are blowing us off.

I'm having the same exact issue in windows 7 w/ adobe reader X. If I save it to the desktop
it opens fine. I've edited the registery as well as uninstalled reinstalled. and Disabled protection at startu
p with no success. What can we do Adobe to fix this. The product is completley updated and it is a brand new pc
