Adobe Reader stops me from opening PDF files I want to read. I trashed Adobe Reader but I still can't get into some PDF's?
I can't understand when I try to open PDFs on a website, and even after trashing Adobe Reader, I am not allowed to read PDFs on web sites?
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.

I downloaded the newest version of camera raw for LR. I have LR4 and can not import photos from my new Nikon D750. The download said it was sucessful but I still can not import photos.
Lightroom doesn't use the Camera Raw plug-in. So downloading the latest Camera Raw didn't do anything at all for you. The only way to update or upgrade Lightroom is to obtain the latest version. If you have Lightroom 4 then the last version of Lightroom you can have at no additional cost is Lightroom 4.4.1. If the camera you are using requires anything newer than what is supported and that version of Lightroom then it will require an upgrade to Lightroom 5.

No. With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see when iPhoto opens?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
For the iPhone issue ask in the iPhone forum.

A website I frequently visit will no longer come up. Safaris says that my connection has been lost but it hasn't. I even get emails from the website but I still can't get on it. Why would it all of a sudden do this?
The reason, I included the annotation that I'd upgraded my Itunes, (On my Computer) is B/C in many forums - the very first question, *HELPERS* ask, is. "Do you have the latest version of Itunes downloaded on your computer." I wanted to knock out any obvious replies.
Now- "DO YOU have any idea,"... how your UNHELPFUL remarks, do absolutely nothing but hurt others that might not have the EXPERIENCE you have? How do you expect people to know things without asking questions? Whew! RUDE!!

How can I stop Firefox from opening (to "File Not Found") when opening my Opera browser?
Ever since I installed Opera 10.61 on my new computer (Windows 7 Ultimate operating system), whenever I open Opera, Firefox opens one second later with the following error message:

I had Opera set as my default browser since this began happening. I changed my default browser back to Firefox mainly because having Firefox open one or two seconds every time I open Opera was/is such a nuisance.
I believe this problem began because I attempted to manually transfer the files from my old computer to the new one (via the backed up files in my external drive). I was unfamiliar with Windows 7 when I did this. Microsoft changed the file set up from what I had been used to in Windows XP. I used XP for six years before being exposed to Windows 7 (I never had Vista).
I'm almost sure this problem has something to do with where I placed the application data when I was trying to reestablish the program set up on the new computer. -
How do I stop apps from opening multiple files?
When I open a file in many applications (usually by double clicking), the app opens a number of recent files which I then have to close. I wish to only open the file I'm interested in seeing.
The OS will restore any files that were open when you Quit the Application previously.
If you don't want that to happen, check the Close windows when quitting applications checkbox in the General System Prefs.
Or, you can quit an app with cmd-opt-Q which will close all the windows before quitting. -
Since May of this year, I have been unable to view PDF files or print them. I have downloaded the latest Adobe and Firefox. I had a long talk with a tech from Scottrade who gave me a bunch of ideas, none of which helped. HELP!!

I have transferred all of the songs from the old iMac we own to a new one we just bought. I have already had one problem with the music as in some songs wouldn't play without me using sharing. So I took and old computer off the sharing network and all is well there. But my iPod Touch will not download any music, tones, or pictures without me taking all of the previous items on my iPod Touch. Anyone have any clue what I should do?
Since I am impatient and can't wait for 90 minutes for an answer, I have decided to lose everything on my iPod and try to remember all the songs I had on them. But if anyone can help me prevent this in the future, that woud be great!

I received a notice to download a newer version of itunes. After starting the process of downloading I got an error message which then suggested I try to download itunes again. When I did this it showed the file was already in my system and stopped the download process. Now I can't open my itunes to play my music. What can I do to get it back?

How to stop QT from opening my browser when I play an .mov ?
How do I stop QT from opening my IE6 and sending me to the ULR associated with the .mov? It is getting obnoxious, since file that I want to watch opens about three different browser windows... those open several more.
I hope there is some other solution as that seems like a horrble feature. Perhaps there should be a button to hid cloud content or to only play local content.

Can I close all layers? or even better, stop illustrator from opening all layers when I open a file?
I just installed cs6, and when I open files in Illustrator, it opens all of the layers which contain sublayers. It does this even if all the top-level layers were closed during the previous save. The files I work with have a large layer-structure, so re-closing the top-level layers every time I open a file wastes a lot of my time. Can I close all layers at once, or better yet, can I stop Illustrator from opening all of the layers automatically when I load a file?
If not, then WHY on earth not? I can't be the only one who opens and closes large files with lots of layers and sub-layers...

Edit: I also am noticing this problem is even worse in cs6, because openning and closing individual layers plays a little animation of rotating the triangular arrow before the layer which, cute as it may be, just makes the task of individually closing up all my layers that much more tedious. Can I turn off that little animation of the triangular arrow when opening and closing layers?You can save it as a pdf and when you open that in AI the layers will not be opened even if they have sublayers.
Not true. Does the same nonsense an .AI file does. Saved as a .PDF, closed Layers/subgroups get opened.
And no one cares!
I do. Every other Adobe program with a layering sceme seems to be able to remember that you saved a file with all layers and subs closed. But not this one.
Maybe someone from the AI development team should ask someone from the Photoshop team how they've managed it.....for decades. -
How do I prevent Adobe from taking my jpegs and making them pdf files? I have had to uninstall Adobe to access my photos as jpegs.
I would suggest you change your file associations so that jpgs open in a program other than Acrobat. Assuming you have a Windows machine, just go to the Start, and search for "file associations" ... it's part of the Control Panel.
Scroll down to the file type jpg, and set it to open with whatever graphic preview or editing program you have that you want to use as the default. From that point on, when you click on a jpg, it should not open Acrobat and instantly try to convert it to a pdf.
