Adobe Reader Stops Working in Win7. Is there a fix for this, other that updating?
On my multiple Win7 or Vista machines, I suddenly have experienced Adobe Reader not working. I have tried to install the latest updates and have even uninstalled and reinstalled it. Nothing helps the situation. Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
Some things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
If you cannot open Reader by itself, try to disable Protected Mode in the registry; download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

Have you checker the connectors on both the transmitter and Nano for any signs of damaged, corroded pins? It might help to take a can of compressed air to each. The error message may be simply a result of the iPod Nano not getting a full connection with the transmitter at first.

I don't know -- sorry. I don't think it matters -- once your camera is supported, you can easily force a re-processing of the Masters. If you can import them as RAW+JPEG pairs, I would. Set the JPG as Master until Aperture can convert the RAWs.
I don't use RAW+JPEG. Can someone who does offer some suggestions .

And _always_ back up your files. In this case, if you have to, you'll be able to re-import them.

My macbook fell off the couch and now everything on the display is double and slightly transparent. Is there a fix for this other than getting it replaced?
Only an Apple Store or an authorized Apple Service Provider can determine if a repair is economically justifiable. It may be as simple as a dislodged display cable.

every since i installed mavericks my mid 2010 macbook pro keeps crashing, and ive recently noticed that programs that triger it are Photoshop & Acrobat.
and when i use Final Cut Pro X it shuts down almost right away. i talked to apple (instore and on the phone) instore they ran some tests and determind that the graphics card failed and that they could fix it for like $500-$600, or i could buy a new one because the logicboard replacement program that they had was only for up to three years after purchase,i was just outside of that . i decided to go home and call apple, because because this problem happened once i did the recommended update to mavericks, and i think they should make an acceptation in this case…. they didn’t, i said to the second level tech that it seems quite suspicious that i never ever had a problem in the 3 years i had the macbook pro until installing Mavericks. He said “there is no way a software issue could make a hardware issue"

Thunderbolt Bus:There is special test for a specific Latent Defect in the MacBook pro 6,2 15" 2010 model. It is called VST test. It takes only a few minutes to run, and ends in a dramatic PASSED or FAILED screen. Have them run it for you while you watch. The standard "Overnight Bake" test will not find this latent defect.
Print out a copy of your Kernel Panic log, and a copy of:
MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010): Intermittent black screen or loss of video
Once you know whether your MacBook HAS (or does not have) the Latent defect, THEN you can try to negotiate for some relief.
There MAY be some additional latitude surrounding the public policy that Apple does not advertise. Be sure to ask the Store Manager whether they can do something to ease the out-of-pocket costs to you. Apple wants you to be a happy customer, if possible.
Be polite and businesslike at all times -- those who threaten to sue everybody will never be happy customers, so they get shown the door. -
Trying to open pdf and Adobe Reader Stops Working...Please Help
Trying to open PDF and it keeps popping up that Adobe Reader Stopped Working. And doesn't seem to find a solution to fix. Has been going on for a couple days. Can't access pdf files needed for my business.
With Reader XI I assume you mean 11.0.0; try updating to 11.0.06.
Also, can you open Reader by itself? If so, try to disable Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)]. -
Hi. I have a Dell PC running Windows 7 64 bit. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader, It worked yesterday. Today I have job training to do that is due tomorrow morning and I can't open PDF files. I have to open a guide and read it and take a test tomorrow. I have deleted and reinstalled the application. I have rebooted. I have made sure my PDF's are associated with the program. Every PDF on my computer won't open and I get the same error message. It simply says Attempt to access invalid address. How can I fix this? Thanks.

I have seen this issue fixed for some users by modifying the following registry key:
The key is "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" MoveImages
Set the key to 1 instead of 0 then reboot the machine.
In case you still face the issue try the following registry key change:
The only thing you have to do is rename the following key at the REGEDIT, and everything will be fine !!
BEFORE:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.exe
AFTER:

Install Adobe Flash Player.

Download it first.
The next step is important.
Click Safari in the menubar and select “Quit Safari”.
If it doesn’t quit, Force Quit it.
Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select the application if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
Application will quit.
Follow the prompts and install it.
Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.

Safari > Preferences > Security
Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
Enable it. -

Have you tried going to System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy and dragging your hard drive into the box then drag it back. That will trigger a re-index.

I installed Adobe Web and Design Preium CS6 on windows 8.1, but when I open the program the size of the menus and tools are so tiny. It is not like that for Acrobat, but all the other programs. Is there a fix for this?
Thanks for the help. I installed CC and it fixed everything but Photoshop. I guess I will have to use my old laptop for images until Adobe fixes the problem. Do you know of a place where we can send issues like these to Adobe?

Recent iOS update has made my iPad 2 unusable. The screen locks up. It's very laggy and web pages do not load correctly. Is there a fix for this or are they even working on a fix.
Try some basic troubleshooting:
(A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
(B) Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
(C) Setup as new (data will be lost if you do not have backup)

I recently upgraded the software on my iPad 2 to iOS8.02. Since upgrading the iPad is running slower and choppier, with several apps no longer working. In addition, it keeps knocking me off my cellular data and showing no service. Is there any fix for this, or can I downgrade the iOS back to 7?

As of today, I can no longer or Excel. I get this message: You can’t open the application “Microsoft Excel” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported. Is there a fix for this and why ha this all of the sudden happened. I've rebooted twice and that hasn't worked.
