Adobe_reader update_V_10.1.2
Hello,
I got an .msp file (which means patch) as update to V10.1.2 of the reader (AdbeRdrUpd1012.msp). This type of file is "opened" with <Ulead Instant Viewer> on my system. Changing the program which should open the file to <Windows® Installer> in the "properties" fild of the Icon did not lead to a success. So I cannot run the update. What's to do?
Regards
R. Binder (ligior)
Try using the registry fix provided at http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html.
Scroll down to registry fix for .MSP files, download and run the same.
Hopefully if should solve your issue.
Thanks
Ankit

Every time Firefox opened
== since installing Firefox 4.1You are using the <u>'''first beta release'''</u> of Firefox 4; it is not meant for general public use. Not all plugins may yet be updated. Only experienced testers should be using that new beta release. When using an early beta release of any application, you can expect problems. You can go to the Quicktime site and/or Quicktime forums to see if there is information there concerning the compatibility of your version of Quicktime with Firefox 4.

How can I keep my extensions separate from another Windows user?
I love LastPass and can't live without it. My wife can't stand it, and doesn't want to use it, or ever see it; but if I install it, she has to see it too (including update announcements, which particularly annoy her). She would prefer to have Firefox remember her passwords. How can we have distinct sets of extensions on the same machine?

I need to be reliably OPTED OUT of automatic updating unless the auto destruction forces warn me aforehand to backup my cookies, bookmarks, email and etc. When I now click on Help, I get an automatic start of "downloading Firefox 3.6.6" WHAT KIND OF HELP IS THAT?
Your bookmarkbackups folder is your Profile folder which is normally a folder hidden by Windows.

http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles#How_to_find_your_profile

Everything indicates that you have Firefox 3.6.3; the current version is Firefox 3.6.6. To check your version at any time, click Help > About Mozilla Firefox.
You can manually check for updates by clicking Help > Check for Updates.
To change your options on Automatic Updates for Firefox: Tools > Options > Advanced > Update
See: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Options+window+-+Advanced+panel#Update_tab
I use the "Ask me what I want to do" option. It will still check, but ask you if you want to update <u>'''IF'''</u> you leave the check mark next to Firefox. Un-check Firefox and you run the risk of missing important security updates. With Firefox checked, it should check for updates, by default, once per day.

What's wrong with my hyperlinks from Excel?
I'm creating a table of documents in Excel 2010, with hyperlinks in cells to the documents. I need to keep the documents as read-only, so I've pdf'd them, but now opening each one takes about 2 minutes. During the process I receive the message: 'Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete and OLE action' - three times!
If I open Adobe Reader first, then click on the links, I get the message: 'There was an error reading this document. The file cannot be found' - but thirty seconds later the document opens.
Word and PowerPoint versions of the documents open much quicker, without error messages. Anyone got any idea what's going wrong?
The files are on the same drive as the spreadsheet. Adobe Reader is version 10.Hello there,

Ever since the systyem upgraded me to 3.6.6. I can not even run one eight hour day without firefoc either crashing or locking up which requires me use C/A/Deleate to close the program. I used to be able to run 8 to 12 windows at a time and NEVER lock up or crash with the older version. Is this problem being looked into and or being corrected. I use Firefox with Google and my system is XP Pro 32 bit. THIS IS REALLY making me MAD. My email is [email protected] and would appreciate a response to this ASAP. How to get Adobe Reader to work in browsers on linux
I am running LMDE 64 bit on one PC and a X-enabled Ubuntu Server installation on another (also 64 bit).
Is it possible, under either of these scenarios to get Adobe Reader plugin to work on any browser?
I need to access pdf files using Adobe Reader inside a browser. My preference is Google Chrome, but happy to use Firefox too.
Currently, when I use Chrome, I have turned off the built-in Chrome PDF Viewer, as it does not handle the forms I need to use. But now when selecting a pdf, the only option is to download and open it in Adobe itself, which also does not work for my needs.
In Firefox, the settings for content handling on pdf only gives the option to open it outside of Firefox... again, no good.Hi
Please See the below link for mozilla ...http://kb.mozillazine.org/Adobe_Reader
