Adobe reader without mvafee antivirus

Please,
I need to download and install Adobe Reader 11.1.102.55 ,
I ca download both and remove antivirus, but I am afraid of removing and damaging any/some installed programs.
How can I download without Mcafee ?
Thanks,

Hi Thomazp,
Click on this link to download the latest version of Adobe Reader:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/?promoid=BUIGO
After you click on the link, you will be taken to the Adobe Reader Download page. Just above the download button, You will see a box with a tick mark in it which indicates McAfee Antivirus will be downloaded too.
Remove the tick mark by clicking on the box and then click on "Download".
This will ensure that only Adobe Reader is downloaded and installed.
Thanks

  • How do i install adobe reader without installing products from google.

i dont like google, i dont like a bunch of worthless taskbars crowding my browser. so how do i install adobe reader without installing google products when you dont even give me the chance to say i dont want them?
It is unethical to force onto people products of any nature that they do not want. i do not want google products so by your installation for adobe reader automatically installing google products without my consent is unethical.

I don't understand the "forcing" part; the bundled software is clearly optional, and can be unchecked before the download.
Or using the download link that Michael provided earlier (which is posted at least a dozen times every day in this forum).

  • Open Adobe Reader without Tools menu or Fill & Sign menu

    Windows 7 Ultimate SP 1 (x64)
    Adobe Reader XI 11.0.10
When I open a PDF file, I often get a menu down the right side of the Adobe Reader window.  Usually, it is the Tools menu; but if the PDF file is a fill-in form, I get the Fill & Sign Tools menu.  Rarely do I need these menus.  Is there an option to launch Adobe Reader without these menus?

We ended up finding a registry key which forces this menu to come up each time:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\AVGeneral]
    “bBrowserDisplayInReadMode”=dword:00000000

  • Installing Adobe Reader without getPlus+ 1

    Hi
As getPlus+ 1 is licensable is there a way I can make sure that it is not installed when Adobe Reader updates? Our SAM tool is saying that the software is remaining as installed even though the update has completed. This has made us non-compliant across multiple devices. is there any way around this without having to remove the software each time ourselves?

  • How can I unistalling Adobe Reader without damaging other Adobe software??

I want to uninstall old versions of Adobe Reader, which for some reason are not removed once I update the software. The old versions I want to get rid of are 6.0, 7.0 and 7.0.5 (I just installed 8.0). I cannot find an Adobe Reader unistaller anywhere, and the Adobe site itself is not much help.
I found an old thread here in the fora (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7064835&#7064835) that partially addresses the issue, but the advise is applicable only if there is no other Adobe software installed in the computer (see Kurt Lang's reply). I have other Adobe software, including Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.
So, question is: How can I uninstall those old versions of Reader, other than dragging the folders to the trash, as that might not be advisable in my case?
And why is it that updates to the software are not automatically deleting previous versions of it? Is it something in my computer's setting that's causing this to happen?
    Thanks much for the help.

Just drag the older versions of the Reader out of the Applications folder to the trash. Done. They have nothing to do in any way with other Adobe products on the hard drive.
Edit: To clarify on my post you linked to. As long as you stick to just dumping the Reader apps themselves in the main Applications folder, you're fine. Just leave the few small leftovers in the Support folders alone.

  • Installing Adobe reader without access to the internet

I would like to install Adobe reader on my laptop, but have no internet connexion at home. I downloaded Adobe reader on my USB pen, but when I tried to install it on my laptop, the installation wizard tried to connect to the internet. As it failed, it then stopped the installation. What can I do? Is there another version I can download that does not require access to the internet?
    Many thanks.

    Hi alouis,
Sounds like your distributing Flash Player within your org, as such, you'll need to license these products for distribution.  Please see the following links for information on licensing the various products for distribution:

  • Adobe Reader won't open automatically when clicking on online form link

I created a form in LiveCycle Designer, reader-enabled it, and then it was uploaded to a university website for students to access to apply for graduation from an advanced degree program. However, when students click the link, the dreaded "Please wait...If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document. [...]" appears. In the top right corner of the browser, a little button that says "Open with different viewer" is also displayed, which has to be pressed and then Adobe Reader has to be manually selected to open the form...the problem is that students are not aware of the button in the corner and simply believe the form is not working properly. To avoid the many frantic student calls as they get the "error" message, I was wondering if there is a way to upload a form to default to the Adobe Reader, without having to set this on every machine individually. I don't know much about the website portion of this project, so any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. If this is something that could be set on the form end itself (although I am not sure how you would), please also let me know. I have attached the screen shots with the first error message and the button in the top right and the selection for the viewer that comes up after pressing the button (once you select the reader in this step, it opens just fine). If there is any additional information I should provide to solve this problem, just let me know.
The form is linked online at http://www.uccs.edu/Documents/graduateschool/CORRECT%20Application%20for%20Admission%20to% 20Candidacy%208_22_14.pdf
Thanks in advance for any thoughts on the issue.
    Kristin

You are using either the built-in Mozilla PDF Viewer or the built-in Chrome PDF VIewer and have a LiveCycle Designer XFA form being viewed.  You need to configure the web browser accordingly.
XFA-based PDF forms on Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome
There are are probably registry entries available for setting this up in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry hive for both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, but I don't know them and have not seen them posted on any vendor site.  Then again, I haven't looked either.

  • Adobe Reader 'Attach to Email' is not working

I have a client that is running Windows 7 and when opening a PDF with Adobe Reader is unable to use the "Attach to Email" function. We tried this with Adobe X, Adobe 9.3, Adobe 9.4.2. None of these will work. An error occurs: "Acrobat is unable to connect to your email program." We get the same error on any of these versions. For some reason Adobe 9.3.4 upgrade does not install with 9.3, where I read in a resource discussion that this version should work ion Windows 7.
Adobe Reader X seems to be a known issue with Windows 7 for this problem. My client recently upgraded from Windows XP and did not have this problem on that OS. A current work-around is to save the PDF then attach it to an email, but she would greatly prefer to use the Attach to Email function within Adobe Reader without having to save the PDF and manually attach it.
    Thanks for any help!

I have the same issue using Acrobat X and Thunderbird 3.1.6 on Windows 7.  Attach to email function is NOT working.
It worked when I had outlook 2007 installed, but I couldn't find where to change the setting to thunderbird.
I uninstalled outlook.  Now the attach to email feature won't work at all.
Thunderbird is set to the default email client in windows . . . this is extremely annoying!!
File > Attach to email . . .  It appears this feature doesn't work with any emails client except outlook??????
Attach to email worked on WinXP for Lotus Notes 8.5 email client (maybe an older Adobe Reader, version 9.4), but not after we upgraded to Win7. No Adobe Reader versions we have tried will work on Win7 for Lotus Notes.

  • How to manage PDF opening in client installed Adobe Reader?

    Hi!
As a background, I have this Document Library in SharePoint Online containing PDF files that are supposed to be confidential files wherein the users can only view the pdf documents, restricting the Printing, Copying of Content and Saving/Dowloading.
As a workaround, this PDF files are password encrypted and toolbars and menu bars are hidden by default. That's why I need to open it using the local client PDF Adobe Reader. Since if through the browser, the pdf file security enforced becomes useless with
the Save and Button buttons visible and Browser Menu Bar can directly be accessed.
My problem is how do I enforce that PDF files stored in a Document Library in SharePoint Online be opened directly in local client PDF Adobe Reader without asking the users to
Disable the Adobe PDF Reader add-on of their browser IE  because we have no control over if they follow it or not and also this will also depend on the type of browser used by the user.
Why is it that this Library Settings option in SharePoint Online does not work "open documents in the local client application"?
Please your solution to this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Venus

    Hi,
From your description, you might want to force the .pdf file to not able to open in browser.
As there is no such OOTB feature can meet your requirement, a workaround is that we can use JavaScript to iterate through the Name column of the library, if there is
a file name ends with “.pdf”, we can modify the click event of the name string element of the Name column of this item to make it download the file instead of opening it.

  • Problems saving a file in Adobe Reader 11 after highlighting

    Hi,
Has anyone come across a problem where Adobe Reader 11 seems to have problems in saving certain files after highlighting some text?
One of our processes involves checking information and to do this we open up a saved PDF file in Adobe Reader 11 and highlight the relevant text to confirm the amounts have been checked, and then save the file.
This is all done in Adobe Reader - not the full version and not using any external helpers etc, and running under Windows 8 64 bit.
However one of our users is having problems with certain PDF files where, when she goes to save the file after highlighting, it comes up with an error saying that it can't save to this filename and requests that a new filename is entered. If we then save to a new file, and then save as to the original file it works.
So basically this user is having to save the PDF file twice after highlighting - which is annoying.
The strange thing is it appears to only be happening with PDFs created from certain applications on our system (payroll software and BACS processing software) whilst other PDFs work fine. Another user, also using Adobe Reader 11 and also using Windows 8 64 Bit, can open up the problem files, highlight text and save the changes without any problem at all, so it doesn't appear to be the files themselves.
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Adobe Reader without any success.
    Can anyone suggest anything?
    Thanks

I'm getting something similar, but the message I get is "...pdf already exists. Do you want to replace it?"  I click 'Yes' and the document is replaced under its original file name.  This is using Reader 11.0.10.
Sorry - I should have been clearer.
She gets exactly that question, but when she clicks yes, then she gets 'The document could not be saved. Cannot save to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.' At this point the name of the document as shown at the top of the screen has changed to a ???????.tmp filename.
Trying to save this document over the top of the original now works.
It looks like something is locking the original file and only releasing it after the attempted save, which then allows the original to be saved over.
    Also using 11.0.10
