Adobe Reader X: Controll-Panel disapeares

Hello folks,
if i use the Adobe Reader X on my browser the control-panel above the shown documents disapeared. (The one that shows save file or go to site) At first i thought its a problem with the files i looked at but it this problem also appears on files that worked properly beforend. I checked thet settings and put every "show this navigationbar" to on.
Because this didn't help at all i reinstalled the Adobe Reader. The next two times i opend a file the bar was actually there but then it disappeared again.
I use Windows 7 (64bit), IE 8 and the Adobe Reader X!

I would disable the right click.....
perhaps you can call a javascript function to display a table of options on your jsp with a layer:

Get page number from adobe reader activex control

I used adobe reader activex contol in my application, I wanna access currect page number of open pdf, for that I require AcroExch.App.Avpageview. where we can get it and what would be the cost of it.Or any othe solution for access the page number of pdf.

This is an interface supplied by Adobe Acrobat, Standard or Professional. (Note that EACH user will need to buy a copy). (And note that you cannot mix interfaces, so you won't be able to use this while displaying in the control).

Adobe Reader touch controls in windows 7

I am trying to get a windows 7 tablet to be a powerful sales tool. This will require the nice presentation of adobe PDF's. When using the tablet and adobe reader in Full Screen Mode I can not find a way to exit the full screen mode except to open the tablet up to make the ESC key available the pressing it. I am using Adobe Reader 9.3.2.
This is not really acceptable as we are trying to make this a touch only setup, this so far is the only need to use the keyboard. Any suggestions?

In full screen mode while the laptop is folded in tablet mode, there is no buttons available on the screen. If you are referring the the buttons on the laptop itself, they do not exit it from this full screen mode, just rotate screen, lock, and power.
Any other thoughts?

Using Adobe Reader ActiveX control in Access 2010

I have an access 2010 database containing records that have individual associated pdfs. I have embedded a Adobe Acrobat PDF reader control in a form and created a function to load the appropriate pdf using the .LoadFile method so that it is visible on the same form as the database record. When I move to a new record I want to close the file and clear the control (as though I had just opened the form) but I can't find the method to close/unload the file. How can I do this please?
Addition - I have included some additional references to the Access DB so intellisense identified the methods for the Active X control (acroPDF). There is no 'unload' or 'close' method though that I can see, unless there are options to the ExecCommand method that I can use??

I don't know if this is the best way or if it works in Access 2010, but it worked for me in the 2003 version. I set the enabled property to false and back to true. Here's the code that also checks for a null in the JobOrderNumber field:

Adobe Reader takes control of all programs and files.

Help. I have tried multiple times to download and install Reader and every time I do it associates every program and file on my computer with pdf and says the file cannot be opened. Even Google Earth! It just takes over my computer. Is there any fix please?

I have tried to remove Adobe Reader via Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs but that won't work. I get this: This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package. I don't know how to do what is being asked. I have tried to download Adobe Reader again but get this when I do: Note: this application already installed.
I have Adobe Reader X (10.0.1) with an update installed on 2/19/2011. I have Windows XP SP3.
Anyone who can help me get Adobe Reader working correctly again or uninstalling it so I can reinstall.

Thanks for the input. Did you remove Adobe Reader 10 first before you downloaded the older version? If you removed it, how did you do that? The add/remove programs in control panel won't let me remove it -- it says a patch package can't be opened.

Error 2331 when installing Adobe Reader 10.1.3

Adobe automatic updater notified me that I had an update to install. I tried installing it, and got the following message:
Error 2331. Error loading library MSPATCHA or finding entry point ApplyPatchToFileByHandlesEx
I tried Microsoft Fixit, no change. I uninstalled Adobe Reader from Control Panel Add/Remove Software and downloaded Adobe Reader X again, and it won't install--I get the same Error 2331.

One more suggestion; can you try to download and run the MSI installer?

Cannot get Adobe Reader to open anymore

I have an HP Pavillion 500 PC with Windows 8.
I installed Adobe Reader last summer and it has been working fine until last week.
It refuses to download any new files and will not open if I click the icon.

First thing I would try: repair Adobe Reader (from Control Panel | Programs & Features).
If that does not help, uninstall Reader using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
then download and install the latest version from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Reader no longer exists in control panel, but remainss on desktop can't use, update or remove??

Have adobe 9.3 though never figuredhow to use. Lately when start computer I am notified of update.
When I attempt to update it fails to do so (can't recall error message).
When I try to uninstall Reader at control panel recieve message " cannot be opened, verify patch package exists or contact vendor..."
Googling this message took me to forums whose most prominent recommendationseemed to be to download "Windows Installer Cleanup Utility" which Microsoft no longer supports but can be downloaded at majorgeeks .com
Downloaded, ran, and "apparrently" uninstalled Adobe 9.3 as it no longer exists in control panel, yet icon still exists (and registers as 4 KBs in properties).
When I attempt to download new Reader I am informed it already exists.
Have scanned and tried to fix errors with registry cleaners.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I can't set Adobe Reader 9.3.4 as default .pdf

When I double click .pdf it doesn't open with Adobe Reader (AR). It used to open with AR 8 but wouldn't print from 8. I figured out that it would print from AR 9 and consequently deleted the AR 8 folder. However, now it won't associate .pdf with AR 9. I understand the simple trick of right-clicking, "open with..." and browsing or selecting Adobe Reader. I have found the Adobe Reader .exe file and when I click it, it doesn't select it in the default programs nor in the "other programs".
I am able to open AR 9 and manually look for the file and open it.
I'm running Windows 7 32-bit with Adobe Reader 9.3.4. Can't positively be sure I've effectively deleted all of AR 8. Thanks for the help.

Have you unistalled Reader 8 and then installed Reader 9 or simply deleted the folder?
I think association to AcroRd32.exe has got disturbed(AcroRd32.exe does not indicate its of AR8 or AR9).
So we will do another thing to solve your problem.
1.Unistall Reader from Control Panel>Add or Remove programs
2.Download 9.3.4 reader from http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3.4/enu/AdbeRdr934_en_US.exe and run it.
Please tell if this (reinstallation) solves your problem?

Adobe reader, error 15 reading a pdf.

Hi, i'm an italian user, recently my adobe reader makes a mistake while i read a pdf,
so i can't read any document. This error is always present.
I tried to uninstall adobe reader, done a system clean, reboot and then i tried
to install another way a new clean of latest version of adobe reader.
Nothing...i cannot resolve this problem.

Can you try repairing Reader from control panel. Goto Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features>Uninstall a program.Select Adobe Reader and
click on Uninstall/Change.In the subsequent windows select Repair.

Apogee Duet control panel - missing in Logic Pro X

Hey Guys
I'm asking on behalf of a friend who uses Logic in his home studio...
He has recently updated from Logic Pro 9 to LPX, and has noticed that the Apogee control panel that is integrated in Logic seems to be missing.
Does anyone know whether this has been removed permanently, or whether a driver update is required from Apogee?

However, from other threads i have read. the control panel feature is not yet working in LPX. Apogee have said they are working on it... but no further news as yet.

Ask your friend to contact Apogee directly and they will likely email him when the next update is ready for release.

How to uninstall manually Adobe Reader XI in a corrupted install and not being able to uninstall from control panel

It seems that Adobe Reader X1(11.0.0.9) installed and the installation was corrupted. It now opens up the Windows help center automatically. Booting the computer in safe mode and trying to unistall in the control panel, I get the Windows Installer Servicee could not be accessed. I am able to uninstall other programs with no problem.

One way is to download again and install, then uninstall. That sometimes resolves the issue. To clear the registry of Acrobat and Reader (this is the Acrobat forum by the way, Reader is another forum), use http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.
