Adobe Reader X - drag and drop

Hallo,
seit Einsatz von Adobe Reader X ist es nicht mehr möglich via "drag and drop" Text oder andere Daten von einem PDF-Dokument nach z.B. Word, Excel zu ziehen/kopieren. ist das so gewollt? gibt es eine Möglichkeit (z.B. Regkey) dass "drag and drop" wieder möglich?

Yep. But it will only likely get to you in the next version released for NON subscription or ASA customers. With 6.1 Adobe was giving a preview of the functionality they would be including in your next release. Either way, whether you upgraded to the subscription edition or waited for the next paid upgrade, you were always going to be paying something to get this new functionality. 6.1 users just got it earlier than everyone else. That was Adobe's decision. It certainly hasn't been a popular one.

Adobe Presenter 10 Drag and Drop questions - only grey box when trying to create

Hi,
I try to create drag and drop questions in Presenter 10 and after clicking on Add Question -> Drag Drop, the new window opens but where I should be able to define the questions etc, the screen is just grey. Have the same issue on three other systems as well.
Flash is updated to latest version and so is Presenter 10.
Weirdly the installed Flash version is 15, but a right-click into the grey box shows me version 11.
Any ideas?

Just in case someone else has the same problem, a chat with Adobe brought the solution:
On the gray screen, Right click and go to Global settings
Go to advanced tab
Scroll down and click "Trusted location settings"
On the "Trusted location settings" window, click "add" on the bottom
Click "Add Folder" and select "Local disk c"
Click "Ok" and Confirm on "Trusted location settings" window
Worked for me (on three different machines) like a charm!

Adobe Flex 4 Drag and drop example in application

I have been looking at the following example:

The example works in web based flash project, but if I use the same code in a desktop AIR project image does not move to the mouse position. (this is obvilously after I have changed the Application container to a WindowedApplication container)
It seems to be due to the fact that the parent container stops receiving mouse move events while dragging. The image then moves to a position relative the where the mouse clicked inside the image.
I was hoping someone would be able to tell me what I am doing wrong?

I've managed to solve the issue using event.localX instead.

Moving answers in a quiz once they have been matched to a target in using drag and drop

I am having a problem with some of my drag and drop quizzes that I'm wondering if anyone you might be able to help me with?
In some drag and drop quizzes I have created, using the Infosemantics drag and drop light widget in Captivate 5.5, I can move the answer after having matched it to a target but before submittting. Whereas in some quizzes I have created, the answers get stuck and do not let me move the answers after I have matched them to a target, even though I haven't submitted. This leaves me no choice but to clear all my answers and start again if I have made a mistake.
Please can you tell me how to enable the answers to move even after they have been placed on a target?

Take a look at the troubleshooting tips on this page from the Infosemantics website:

Pay particular attention to the section entitled: "My drag and drop question works correctly sometimes, but not other times. "
From the appearance of your slide, it looks like you may have removed some of the components from the quiz slide that are necessary for it to function correctly. Try the test that this section of the troubleshooting suggests so that you can see if this is the case. If it turns out that you have deleted some items, you'll need to recreate your quiz slide to get them back again.

Drag and drop scoring

Is there a way to create a variable, or is there a system variable available, that allows for points to be assigned to drag and drop items? So, for example, each correctly dropped item is worth one point and as the learner makes the series of correct drops the score on the screen keeps increasing?

You cannot manipulate the Captivate quizzing system variables with Advanced Actions and you cannot assign a user variable as a score.
This type of scoring flexibility is not available with the native drag and drop functionality available in Captivate as the entire interaction is scored either correct or incorrect, not according to each separate drag item.
However, if you have the Infosemantics Interactive Drag and Drop widget, you can have multiple widgets on the same slide, each scoring a different drag item / target item match. In this way you can likely achieve the result you describe above because the more items the user gets matched correctly, the higher their score.

Drag and drop in parallels 6

I installed trial Parallel 6. I can only drag and drop from windows desk top to mac desktop, iMac. I can nod do the same dragging from Mac to windows XP. I have the + sign but nothing happens. I reinstalled the tools. No change. Is there a solution?

Drag and Drop as an Assessment in Captivate 7

Hello-
I am having an extreme amount of difficulty when it comes to using this function in Captivate 7. The following is a list of questions that I cannot seem to find the answer to anywhere online.
After assigning the answers (as in which box gets dragged to the other), I saw that even though I have 5 separate boxes and therefore 5 separate answers, the quiz results only count this entire drag and drop as one answer. How do I set it so that each drag and drop within the slide is an individual point to add up to a total of 5 points?
I am very confused as to how to set up the failure box-I only want it to show up when people go back to review their quiz. I also have this problem with all other quizzes, as well as the "review area" box.
If someone, or multiple people, could please answer these, and not just link to another page with the answers, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Cp8 Drag and Drop won't pause the interactions

Hi Everyone,
I created a drag and drop interaction slide. Once I preview it, it's pausing fine after 1.5 seconds as defined in the actions tab, under others.
As soon as I drag a drag source to a drop target the slide continues to play and pauses again after a few seconds. The 2nd time I drag any other drag source the slide continues to play and moves to the next slide before the interaction in complete.

Hi,
There can be two possibilities for your case.
1.You must be using the On drop actions in your interactions. If these actions are simple actions they move the play head of the movie, so here you need to have "Advanced actions" to maintain the playhead instead of simple actions.(As Lieve mentioned above)
Or
2.You must have multiple answers set up for the interaction.(i.e You must have set the "many to one" mapping wrongly in the Correct answers dialog box).

If you could drag and drop pages before, it wasn't in Reader. You no doubt had Adobe Acrobat (Pro or Standard) which shouldn't be confused with Adobe Acrobat Reader. They recently added Acrobat to the name of Adobe Reader so the confusion about which product you had and/or have is understandable.

I am working on a PC is made of air and flashbuilder 4.6.
Drag and drop application does not work in Flash Builder 4.6.
However, the same source will work with Flash Builder 4.5.
Please help me.

* Flash Builder 4.5.1(updater) or Flash Builder 4.6
- If you have installed on pc, does not work adobe air drag and drop
[Solution]
1. Reinstalling the Windows 7 (32bit).
2. Install Flash Builder 4.5.
3. Flash Builder 4.5.1 updater and Flash Builder 4.6 does not install.
   (Instead of using Flex SDK 4.6 is set up)
In addition, Windows7 64bit environment does not work drag and drop.
Is there another solution?

How to drag and drop PDF into Word with Reader installed.

I am trying to drag and drop PDFs into MS Word. I have Reader installed. Every time I get the following error:
I notice in the Task Manager that AcroRd32.exe runs. I know I can do the long method...Insert Object, etc, but that's way too time consuming for multiple files.
What do I need to do so I can just drag and drop?

I want the inserted file to be an icon.
If only closing Reader were the simple answer. When I drag & drop, Reader starts up in the background (hidden), then closes on its own as well. Even if I have another PDF viewer installed and set as the default viewer, AcroRd32.exe still launches for the drag & drop process. The only way I have found to make it work is to remove Reader completely. I don't want this to be the solution.
Is there a reason Adobe has caused this behavior? With Reader 8 installed, I am able to drag & drop just fine. I don't understand why Adobe wants to alienate its users like this.

is it possible to use Drag and Drop functionality together with Adobe Interactive forms in Web Dynpro ABAP? I consider dragging object (like texts) to interactive form placed in Web Dynpro.

I think I understand but just to make it clear. I use texts created using function module "SAVE_TEXT". In my Web Dynpro I select one or more of them and use the button "insert text" (with appropriate functionality behind it) to insert them to specified location in my PDF form opened in this Web Dynpro. Considering what you said it is not possible to replace this "insert text" button by drag and drop functionality. Am I correct?

Adobe Reader X: drag & drop maximized window

Hi,
I have a big problem with Adobe Reader X (latest version 10.1.2)
I can't drag and drop the maximized window to another (extended) desktop/monitor (I grab it with a left click on the windowbar and pull it to an extended monitor but nothing happens)
Can somebody verify this behavior?
I would really apprechiate any help...
