  • "Apple Mobile Device Support" will NOT uninstall from my computer, so I am still unable to upload iTunes

"Apple Mobile Device Support" will NOT uninstall from my computer so I am still unable to upload iTunes.  I have tried it multiple times in multiple ways and after the uninstall always fails.  Solutions to this specific problem?

I don't know... A link to the official repair advice is given at the top of my user tip. There was a new build of the iTunes 11.1.4.62 setup file released yesterday which is supposed to install cleanly on any system still back on iTunes 11.1.3.8, however they are still giving the same advice for problem systems that have already been upgraded. I.e. the new installer won't repair a currently borked install.
You can download 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and unpack the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe file into its components, then try installing them individually in alphabetical order (don't try to install SetupAdmin.exe or iCloud.msi). AMDS might not install right now, but you may get a more useful error message as to why not, and you might be able to run iTunes even if you can't update your devices at this stage.

  • Adobe reader X will not open files on the web

Adobe reader X will not open files on the web.  It works fine on off-line files.

    Hello Ray,
    Please try following steps:
    1. Run the installed Adobe Reader X.
    2. Click on Edit in the menu bar.
    3. Then click on Preferences in the drop down menu list.
    4. Click on the Internet category on the left pane.
    5. Now, make sure that Display PDF in Browser option is checked.
If above steps doesn't work then let me know which Browser you are using, may be we have to do some settings there.

  • Adobe Reader XI will not give me any options to sign my documents

Adobe Reader XI will not give me any options to sign my documents

Are you in a company/enterprise where the installer was customized?  If yes, then your administrator may have disabled the Sign panel feature on the right hand side, however, signing a document should still be available in the Digital Signatures Pane on the left side via  a pop-up menu.

  • Adobe Reader XI will not open MMS Links

I am trying to create a document in PDF format for a client that has an MMS link in it but it will not open from Adobe Reader. I got someone to test it with Adobe Acrobat and it works. If I try to create the document from Adobe Acrobat it doesn't make a difference. I have my default web browser set to Internet Explorer since that is the only web browser that works with this kind of link. (Microsoft Media Services). I can copy and paste the link into Internet Explorer and it will Launch correctly so it is something specific with Adobe Reader.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this.
I am creating the document with Word 2013 and saving it as a PDF ( The Links works fine form Word.)

    Some other things to try...
    Update to Reader version 11.0.5
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
If you cannot open Reader by itself, try to disable Protected Mode in the registry; download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

  • How do I open RAW images from T1-XMG CR2?  Adobe DNG converter will not recognize these files.   HELP?

How do I open RAW images with T1-XMG CR2? I have adobe DNG converter but it will not recognize these images.  I have had no problem with converting other images.  and ACR will not recognize them either.  Help!@

The screenshot did come through once I added the period between dropbox and com, making URL:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/o7q829t2n3uuuqg/screenshot%202014-07-01%2012.36.28.png
The screenshot shows the first raw file is named T1-XMG_3306.CR2 which probably corresponds to a normal raw filename of IMG_3306.CR2.  It is not clear where this name came from.  I guess it is possible that you’ve entered in a renaming template in LR’s Import panel that replaces the initial I or _ with T1-XM and so the files are renamed.
What I have asked for is not a screenshot of your filenames, but one of the CR2 files, itself, which you can upload to dropbox and post a link to.  You should use copy/paste to get the link into a message, rather than typing it in, if at all possible.
This is because it was my understanding that these oddly-named CR2 files don’t work, and I wanted to look more closely at them to see if they were recognizable as some other type of file.
Do you have a raw file named IMG_3306.CR2 that these files correspond to?

  • Adobe reader x will not let me save pdfs

i am a student so i need to save a lot of pdfs from databases like jstor. for some reason, adobe reader x will only allow me to save 1 pdf, after which if i click the save button on the next pdf i open nothing will happen. after a seemingly random period of time i am then able to save another pdf. this is terribly annoying, i need a fix. anyone know whats going on here?
after fiddling around a little bit, i find that if i "reset toolbars" it lets me save consecutively. this is still very annoying.

I have spent two days at ti, but have finally resolved it myself. I deleted my Adobe Reader and installed an older version, and the problem disappeared. By the way, I also tried AR11, but the probelm was there too.

  • Adobe Reader 9 will not install reporting installatiom package could not be opened

I have WIN XP PRO with SP3. This is a new machine and is running beautifully except Adobe Reader 8 or 9 will not install.
At about 94% done the Adobe Download manager stops and shows the following Windows Installer message
The installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer Package.
Of course when I click OK. I get the message from the downloader that "Installation operation completed successfully". Which of course is not true.
Can any one explain what is happening, and how I should address?

Thanks for the help. Your solution to unregister and register msiexec did not resolve the problem, but it got me thinking and I continued looking down this line of thought through the Microsoft KB articles. There I found a comment per security rights authorization. I had been using an account with administrator rights, but I tried again using the actual administrator account. This worked fine. Adobe 9 is installed and running.

  • Adobe Reader X - will not open PDFs

When I double click PDFs - they do not open.  I have Win 7, 64-Bit.  I can open my Reader X program (ver.10.1.3).
I also have Adobe Acrobat X Pro installed on this PC - which now will not open at all - it was working previously.
If I right click a PDF file in explorer, I can select 'Open with Adobe Reader X' and it will open the PDF.
But if a PDF is attached to an email - I cannot double click to open it, the only way is to save it & right click it - a real pain!
Anyone seen this issue and solved it?
    Thanks for any help...!

    OK - probloem now solved:
I uninstalled Reader X and Acrobat X Pro.
    Rebooted PC,
    Re-installed my Acrobat X Pro.
And now I ma back to normal - can click on PDFs & they open - hurray!!
Simple - I should have done this a couple of days ago.  But with so many listings saying it didn't work for them I didn't go that route...
Glad I changed my mind & gave it a go now.

  • Adobe Reader X will not run and Cannot be unistalled

I am running Windows XP on my laptop and I recently allowed Adobe to update to Adobe Reader X.  I immediately encountered the problem of not being able to open PDF documents and then Reader X just stopped working all together.
Now I can not uninstall it or reload any older version at all.  In all cases I get an error message stating that "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" and then askes for the location of the file AcroRead.msi.  This file does not exist anywhere on my laptop.
Any idea how I can remove Adobe reader from this machine?  I have tried all of the manual removal suggestions and always end up with the above mentioned problem.

You may want to try the following.
Remove all traces of Reader (not only the program) from your system using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. This is no longer supported by Microsoft because it can produce problems with Win 7, but you can still download it from from places like
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
Then, download the Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

  • Reader X will not uninstall properly or reintall

I have a corporate distribution version of Reader X that I installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2 (64bit) Remote Desktop Services Server (formally Terminal Server).  The version I am using is for Windows Server 2008.   I have two of these servers one for internal usage and one for external usage.  The internal usage system when a user tried to run the Reader X from the RDS website indicated Reader X did not start on server.  All is ok on the remote site.  I consoled to the internal system and Adobe X ran fine.  I tried to uninstall Reader X and that is where the problems started.
During uninstall the uninstaller stopped working. ??  I went back to add/remove and Reader X was removed but all the contents of the installation directory on the D drive where still present.  I could even browse to the executable and run it.  ??
OK now what!  i tried a reinstall and got the following:
When installing to default location, C drive, I get the following error:  Error 1402. Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\C37BC61A283EBF941A5A3A136A36263F\68AB67CA7DA73301B744A0000000010. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.
When installing to D drive I get the following error:  Error 1326. Error getting file security: D:\program files(X86)\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\Onix32.dll GetLastError: 5
As noted can't use add/remove as application is no longer present.  I tried to access and delete key for C drive install but get restriction error.  I'm consoled as domain admin.  I tried deleting the installation directory on the D drive but received "you need permission" error even though again I'm consoled as Domain Admin.
I saw the registry is still littered with Adobe Reader entries.
I contacted support willing to pay the $39 but was told no can't get support for free product but when complained support personnel said he would check and then proceeded to leave me on hold for 45 minutes before I hung-up.
I need assistance or a program to remove all traces of the 10.X install so that I can reinstall it.
    Thanks

I tried modifying the registry key indicated for D drive installation and when I do the installer rotates to another registry key.  I really need a Adobe technical support rep to assist.  How do I go about that because when I first call in it seems I get India support and they are not willing to assist.
