I tried many options to fix this problem but not success. If I try to open the same document in google chrome it opens perfect. So my problem is with IE, so Ireset the IE and no fix. I downgrade to IE10 , no fix. I downgrade to IE8 and installed  Adobe reader 9.5 and the web document open perfect. I don't want to leave this computer with IE8 and AR 9.5 ,I want to work IE11 with AR XI 11.0.05 . Please some suggestions? Just as information I tried disabling ActiveX filtering but no fix. Please I need help. Thank you

Thank you Pat Willener. This Microsoft solution really worked for IE11 (I did manually). Now I have Win 7 Pro 64-bit with IE11 and AR 11.0.5 running perfect. Thanks again to you and I am glad that I joined this forum.

Only Apple could hamstring and tie Mac OS to Windows. There isn't any other than whether you can download the drivers into Windows (you can) but Apple puts a block on the installer setup even if your mac does not support it.
Windows 7 needs at least Boot Camp 3.1 and 3.3 is what you should already have. And you are not getting security updates if you don't have at least 10.6.8 as was pointed out.  --- you arent using Software Update as you should. And you should backup and clone Mac (and Windows) as well.
You need Mountain Lion to use Boot Camp 5.x which supports Windows 7 & 8 and 64-bit.
I would upgrade to Lion if you can realizing that Rosetta and PowerPC are no longer supported though.

Is there a download of the Boot Camp 5 Support Software if I'm not using OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.3?
Yes, you can download the Boot Camp 5 Support Software here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638
How do I use the Boot Camp 5 Support Software I downloaded from the web page?
The download file is a .zip file. Double click it to uncompress it.
Double-click the Boot Camp disk image.
Copy the Boot Camp and "$WinPEDriver$" folders to the root level of a USB flash drive or hard drive that is formatted with the FAT file system (see question below for steps on how to format).
Install Windows, leaving the flash or hard drive attached to the USB port of your Mac.
Installation of the drivers can take a few minutes. Don't interrupt the installation process. A completion dialog box will appear when everything is installed. Click Finish when the dialog appears.
When your system restarts your Windows 8 installation is done.
Note: If the flash drive or hard drive was not attached when you installed Windows and was inserted after restarting into Windows 8, double-click the Boot Camp folder, then locate and double click the "setup.exe" file to start the installation of the Boot Camp 5 Support Software.
How do I format USB media to the FAT file system?
Use Disk Utility to format a disk to use with a Windows computer. Here's how:
Important: Formatting a disk erases all the files on it. Copy any files you want to save to another disk before formatting the disk.
    Open Disk Utility.
Select the disk you want to format for use with Windows computers.
Click Erase, and choose one of the following from the Format pop-up menu:
If the size of the disk is 32 GB or less, choose MS-DOS (FAT).
If the size of the disk is over 32 GB, choose ExFAT.
Type a name for the disk. The maximum length is 11 characters.
Click the Erase button and then click Erase again.
Which versions of Windows are supported with Boot Camp 5?
64-bit versions of Windows 8 and Windows 7 are supported using the Boot Camp 5 Support Software. If you need to use a 32-bit version, you need to use Boot Camp 4 Support Software, and you must use Windows 7. 32-bit versions of Windows 8 are not supported via Boot Camp. • Adobe Reader 11.0.03 not run files

On WIndows 7, I run Adobe Reader XI 11.0.03, and it won't open any files. I uninstalled and did fresh install but problem remains. I have had no previous problems and used the program since 2012.

    Three things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

  • Is adobe reader (any version) compatible if running ios6 on an imac?

I am trying to find out if I  have an iMac if I can run adobe reader from ios6.  I have
ios5 for windows installed now and it seems like it is not very compatible with ios 5 for windows, it only works about 1/2 the time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
edit: I meant to say that I am using a Safari Browser on a windows computer, but I am planning to
use an imac with safari and ios6 - thanks

You can install Adobe Reader for either Mac or Windows by going here in your browser: http://get.adobe.com/reader
That page will help you get Reader installed for that computer.
I am not aware of what message you are referring to that is telling you that Reader is not installed, or what application is showing that message.

  • Adobe Reader 9 uninstalled but still running?

I have uninstalled Adobe Reader 9 from my PC (Winodws 7) and have tried numerous times to download Adobe Reader 11. I reach the point where a window appears asking if I accept changes made to my computer, which I do, and then nothing happens after that. When I try and download the program a 2nd time, I reach the same point as before, accept that changes be made, and a window appears with the following message" only a single instance of this application can run".
I have tried the uninstaller fix from Adobe Labs but this has not helped.

I install today the new update for Adobe Reader 8.1.2. When I start program for the first time a popup window with the EULA is appearing with buttons such as "ACCEPT", "DECLINE" but has no effect when I press any of them. Any Idea?

Can you post a screenshot of the error message that you are seeing?

I can't open PDF files as the screen message says I have to reopen the computer and sign the Adobe Reader agreement but even though Adobe has downloaded I don't get any screen message indicating where I would do this.
    Where is this?

after downloading, did you install adobe reader?

  • If I install the update to Adobe Reader 10, will that cause problems with Acrobat Pro 9?

Firefox (version 15.0.1) is telling me I need to install an update to Adobe Acrobat 9.4 in order to view pdf files in my browser. I use Acrobat Pro 9. The update is actually Adobe Reader 10, and I am wondering if I install this, will it cause problems with my version of Acrobat Pro?
Because I am not sure if this is so, I have temporarily disabled the plug-in and now pdf files download automatically rather than display in my browser. I would prefer they open in my browser but do not want to upgrade to Acrobat X.
My OS is Windows Vista. I did not include the "troubleshooting information" file because I'm not sure what specific info is being requested.
    Thanks for any help.

  • Adobe Reader 9.0 will not print on Macbook Pro with OS X 10.6

I have the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and when printing labels or other pdf's, Adobe Reader 9.0 just sits there, doesn't even acknowledge that I am trying to print.  When I open the print queue, it says trying to print, loading data but sits forever.  If I print from Preview and other apps, it works fine, so it's obviously an Adobe issue with the new Macs.  Any suggestions for this non-technical person that just wants to print?  Thanks.

If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions or have other problems with updating to update then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded

  • Adobe Reader v8.1.2 Compatible with Windows XP Pro SP3

I need to know if Adobe Reader v8.1.2 is compatible with Windows XP Pro SP3.
    Thank you.

I've been using Reader without any problems until yesterday when administrator installed Windows XP SP3. When I do a <Ctrl-P> to print, it takes about 30 to 90 seconds for the print requester to pop up. The program is locked up and not responding during the delay, although it does NOT say "Not Responding" in the title bar.<br /><br />While the delay is going, the SysInternals Process Explorer shows but fleeting milliseconds of Kernel or User time being used. Setting the priority from 8 to 13 made no improvement at all.<br /><br />I frequently print from the Reader and the delay drives me nuts! This hang-up needs to be corrected ASAP.<br /><br />I am sure it is a Reader incompatibility because it never happened before the SP3 update, the program is hung and doing nothing and everything works perfectly before and after the <Ctrl-P> is entered.<br /><br />Word or Excel do not experience similar problems. I just tried Notepad, and it sometimes hangs the same way but not nearly as long - maybe 10 seconds at the most and only the first time. After the first delay it pops right up. Adobe Reader hangs a long time every time.<br /><br />Any idea if Adobe is going to fix it or even knows the problem exists? Do they moderate or monitor complaints like this here or elsewhere?<br /><br />I don't want to think they know about it and are fixing it if they aren't.

  • Why oh why won't AE CS5 run under XP Pro 64 bit?

Francly, i'm getting fed up of this stupid CG world we live in where users have to juggle and zig zag in between the permanent idiotic capitalistic software development battles going on way above our heads for teh sake of profit.
I have a little pipeline  of 20 machines, couple of servers, couple of workstations and a bunch of render nodes. 80% which were set up with Vista (Pro Ultimatte and Business) had to be downgraded to XP Pro 64 for compatibity issues with some of the tools i was using, plug ins for 3ds max and AE mostly. believe it or not, downgrading from this piece of crap Vista did cost me money! ...and now that it is all finally running properly... the one tool i use for compositing in my pipeline that is AT LAST (and the last tool of its kind!!!!) 64 bit native.... WILL NOT RUN UNDER XP 64!!!! Which means that just because for reasons i absolutely ignore Adobe is forcing me to upgrade all operating systems on my network in order to finally benefit of what AE should have been able to do already for at least over a year! Wow! great marketting plan!
So i'm asking two questions here... and excuse my lack of formality....
1 -  ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME?????!!!!
2 - What are my options if i want to upgrade to AE and Premiere cs5 in order to finally make a full use of those within the 64 bit pipeline (that all my other tools are already set up for ...for years!!!!) without having to spend s#itloads extra in operating systems and other consequent upgrades? Cause as much as i'm willing to go with the flow... i'm just fed up with wasting my money over political decisions ADOBE, AUTODESK, MICROSOFT and more are making just to squeeze a little more each time.
    pe@ce,
    Adriano Zanetti

Obviously you did not really read my post, so i'm gonna make it more clear.
I was forced to downgrade to XP pro 64 bit in order to follow what you call "progress", in order to use new tools, new releases, new possibilities, such a Nvidia PhysX related tools which would not run under Vista 64 at that time.
Now instead of shooting in my legs and make me look like i belong to the prehistoric times, try to answer my question honestly and properly since you bother doing so. Not developping CS5 for XP 64 is either an agreement made with Microsoft, or a way to cut down costs on a development that was already a big fat money pit since it took ages to finally come up with a 64 bit version Premiere and AE, after YEARS of existence of 64 bit systems. You can try to make me look as dumb and bad as you want... but those are facts that don't make Adobe's purpose and motives look very neat.
Now to read from a "community professional" that what i thought was my legitimate request as a commercial user and active member of the industry is basically irrelevant because "it's all my own fault"... wow!
Now i don't have access to the same information you have it seems, but look at the amount of users who are still working in the caves like me running Win XP 64 for similar reasons and tell me if it is a considerate choice from Adobe to neglect them. As most professional in this business, i like to be informed and NOT FORCED! Seems fairly decent to expect from Adobe to be notified earlier... much earlier than on the release date of the upgrade that my set up will be obsolete!
And for the very same reasons i did not renew my Autodesk subscriptions... i shall not upgrade to CS5 and will look an other way to find a cheaper more "personal/people" oriented solution, one where the support will not slap in my face "it's you own fault" like ADSK and Adobe do when you tickle relevant topics.
Conclusion, i don't like it... and i don't feel i've put myself in this pinch, but thanks for your answer Mylenium, i'm one step closer to invest in The Foundry Nuke as a compositing solution and open source alternative for editing.
    Adriano
