Adobe Reader XI (11.0.07) Error 2753. The File 'acrosup64.dll' is not marked for installation.
I am getting Adobe Reader XI (11.0.07) Error 2753. The File 'acrosup64.dll' is not marked for installation when deploying from msi package. .
Need help to resolve the issue
Hi dingusmagii
Can you please share the following info:
-> Which OS and architecture are you on
-> What are the exact steps being followed for installation.
-> Do you have any previous version of Reader already installed on your machine.
Also it would be helpful if you can you share Windows Installer log. Please follow the steps below to create installer log
1. Launch Notepad
2. Copy paste the following text in notepad
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer\]
"Logging"="voicewarmupx"
3. Now press Ctrl+S to save the file.
4. In the "Filename" field type <any_file_name>.reg for e.g. abc.reg
4. In the "Save as type" dropdown, select "All Files"
5. Click Save button to save the file at desired location
6. Go to the location where you saved the file and double click on it.
7. Follow the prompts to create the registry key.
After the registry key is added successfully, please re run the 11.0.07 patch installer. Once you get the error message click ok and then click on finish to close the installer dialog.
Now go to C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Temp and look for file with name similar to MSIxxxxx.log.
Please upload the dump (compress the dump using WinZip or likewise) and share the link here.
For help see link How to share a document

Adobe Flash GPO Deploy error “InstallAx.exe” Flash won’t uninstall
correctly from a GPO deployment
Error message from EventViewer: Product: Adobe Flash Player 10
ActiveX -- Error 2753.The File 'InstallAX.exe' is not marked for
installation.
I am running Windows 7 and I am trying to uninstall Adobe Flash
Player 10 ActiveX yet I can't find it on the list of Add/Remove
Programs. I have cleaned the registry with CCLEANER application. I
also followed instructions for removing the registry keys of the
following website
http://faultbucket.ca/2010/12/adobe-flash-gpo-deploy-error-installax-exe and still nothing.
I am stuck and I don't know how to remove Adobe Flash Player 10
ActiveX from my computer. Can anyone help me Much Appreciated! We had this same problem recently and the faultbucket link pointed me in the right direction however the registry entries were different for us.
Most of our computers were fine but some had problems with Flash Plugins and some with Activex and some both.
The best way to fix a computer or set of computers is to first uninstall all Flash and then note all remaining Flash entries in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products.
These entries can vary based on what versions got corrupted on your systems.
This ended up being the fix for us for both Flash Plugin and ActiveX version. We tested it and had great success as a .reg file and are now deploying it via GPO.
(We had 4 defunct registry entries for Flash plugin and 3 for Activex)

We are trying to deploy reader update 11.0.10 but are receiving the above error in the installation logs and event viewer of multiple computers. Other discussion state un-installing and re-installing reader fixes the issue, but this is not a practical solution when it is occurring on multiple computers. When attempting to install this MSI, an error occurs. Error 2753. The file 'swhelper_1213153.exe' is not marked for installation. And the installation fails.
I used a program called "Microsoft Install Cleanup" basically it gives a list of programs (I assume from the registry).
When the program is installed correctly, it shows like this:
Adobe Shockwave Player 12.1 [12.1.4.154]
but if it shows like this:
Adobe Shockwave player 12
then there was something wrong. Also it didn't list it in Programs and Features.
in the MS Install Cleanup, I highlighted it and clicked "remove" Be very careful what you uninstall. this could mess up your computer badly. I'd read up on this program.
Otherwise after I removed "Adobe Shockwave player 12" I was able to install the new software properly. -
Error message: The item category 'ZTPS' is not permitted for product '134'
Hi experts,
When I try to create a sales order in CRM, I find the error: "The item category 'ZTPS' is not permitted for product '134'".
how can I solve this problem?
thank you for helping me,
Marcohi,
I tried to perform the "define item category determination" activity, but the problem is that the possible entries for "Item category groups" and "Item usage" are different in the two systems:
for example in R/3 I find some entries with Item Category group = LEIH (returnable packaging),
when i try to insert this Item category group in CRM i press f4 to see possible entries but Ican't find the value LEIH.
how is it possible?
THANK YOU!

WilliamI had same problem with Reader v11 and tried many of the suggestions. Finally I read a question, have you tried the Repair Adobe Reader Installation? I had not and thought perhaps it was in Windows 7 control panel/programs where there are sometime options to repair. In this case, the link is in the Reader Help menu. I ran it, had to restart computer, and pdf files print now! Good Luck

We are opening pdf file in flex air application. but for some user we are facing this issue.
Problem is not being able to open pdf attachments. Get this error message: "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."
I searched on the web and in the context of a discussion I located, an Adobe professional posted this solution: HKCU\Software\Adobe\(product name)\(version)\AVGeneral\bValidateBytesBeforeHeader=dword:00000000.
I am accustomed to attempting to fix things myself, but I am not a computer science person so it's always a stretch for me. If I get a little guidance I can usually make necessary corrections. I hope that I can with this issue..
Still hoping that someone will know how to fix the error problem which according to what I read is a software issue having to do with the program not understanding something in the pdf header... -
What do I do to eliminate this error?
I see the things about fixing the registry, but this is not the solution as the profile should be stored on the network and not locally.
How do I get your software to install properly? Please have a look at following threads:

You can try to run cleaner tool and then try installing the product again.
