Adobe Reader xi stops after about ten seconds.

I have several re books which of late are impossible to use because the program cuts out. A little window announces: 'Adobe Reader has stopped working. The explanation it fives is: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. I re-downloaded the Reader in the hope it would eliminate the cause of the error to no avail.

Can you check the Event Viewer if you can find any more details about the crash?

Playback in Preview window stops after about 1 second

Hi,
When I hit the spacebar to view the clip in the preview window, the playback stops after about one second each time. It goes smoothly, then after one second, it stops. I can however drag the slider across the time line and there seems to be no problems.
I'm sure I have a powerful enough computer, so I don't think it's something to do with ram (I have 6 gig ram, Vista, triple core processor, good graphics card... brand new computer bought yesterday)
I'd appreciate help with this.

I'm not sure what you mean... I am importing from a DV tape which was recorded onto by a MiniDV Camera. When I plug in the camera to my fire wire, Windows gives me the options of AVI and WMV format (I am not sure which one to go with by the way, but WMV format seems clearer and 5 times smaller too.. why is that?)
Any ideas?

My email opens without words then shuts down after about ten seconds. I've tried closing it, tried restarting iPad and resetting the iPad, all to no avail.

For the last three days, when I press my mail icon, it loads the blank template then closes after about ten seconds. I've tried to close and reopen it, have shut down and restarted the iPad and have reset it, but nothing has worked. I tried to use the Apple online support but was told I would have to pay £25! The iPad has not been the same since we upgraded the software as it is much slower, but the emails have not been a problem until now.

Hi Go to Settings Email Accounts Delete email account then add back again. Do this with each account that is not working. Cheers Brian

Flash videos stop after about a second of playback ?

ANY flash videos that are played inside Internet explorer OR
firfox stop after about a second of playback, I can drag the slider
to the middle of the video and it will play for another second then
stop. Can anybody HELP. PS I also have NO sound in any FLASH stuff
since installing flash player 9. ALL other video's (WMP,MOV,RM)
play OK WITH sound

Thanks for the advice and ideas.
I think that the vertical white line basically just shows where the mouse pointer last was relative to the time line, and if you move it from the editing window to the viewing window, it retains its last known position on the time line.
None the less - I implemented your suggestion.
Even if I move the clip further down the timeline, the playback stops about 1-4 secons after I hit play. Even if I move the clip 60 seconds back from the starting line, playback stops while the the playback position is running through the empy space prior to reaching the new starting time of the clip.
If I move the blue cursor that shows the current playing point to anywhere else in the clip, it plays for about 1-4 second and then freezes as before.
Clearly the playback freezes regardless of where it is in the content stream.
I have also discovered a new unexpected feature... The problem seems to be intermittent - if I open a few other clips, and play them, and return to the previous clip, it may run for some time and then freeze. After it has then frozen once, it freezes consistently after 1-4 seconds.
It is also worth noting that it freezes in quick mode too, regardless of timelines.
So there you have it - an intermittent issue.
I have bad to use iMovie in the meantime, which works without issues.
It is beginning to look like a bug in the application...

I download exclusively from itunes and I have been having issues with the music stopping after about 25 seconds either skipping to the next song or just going silent and still moving as if it is playing? how do i fix this?

I have an ipod nano, classic and Iphone4s...i download itunes, it says it is completely downloaded, i go to play it either on my pc or on one of my devices and it plays about 24 seconds of the song and skips to the next song. Sometimes it continues to "play" as in the timer is still moving but there is no sound or picture...how do i fix this? It is really frustrating...i let it go with one or 2 songs but when it is everything I download any more I'm getting fed up. I tried going into the info on the song and options and making sure it didn't have the stop time changed (the solution that apple support gave me) Any solutions? I want to actually listen to the music I download!!!

IMac 9.1 has stopped playing DVDs, ejects them after about ten seconds without reading them

This morning my iMac has stopped playing DVDs altogether. It had been struggling to play them before, but now it won't even read them.
I'm running a 9.1, so the warranty is well past due. Not sure if there's anything I can do at this point to fix it, tried to manually eject the SuperDrive in Applications (as per a troubleshooting method) but that doesn't work either. Anyone know a way to fix this?

I would start first with some basic resets, do a SMC AND PRAM reset first, do each 2-3 times and then test. If you don't know how please click Intel iMac SMC and PRAM resets. If those don't work then I suspect your SuperDrive is either dirty or worn out. You can go to your local office supply store and get a CD/DVD cleaning kit. If that fails then take the machine in for service.

Right Click on Icon => Troubleshoot Compatibility => Troubleshoot Program => Don't see problem listed => Don't Know (Using Vista, but don't know about "service packs") => Don't see problem listed: Settings applied: Windows XP (Service Pack 2), User Account Control: Run as administrator.

Um, not sure what you're asking, can you put it in layman's terms? I'm trying to open a PDF that has already been saved to my computer. After 20 seconds, or so, I get this screen...

HT1725 I downloaded an album from iTunes last night and some songs won't play through to the end. One stops after about 34 seconds and one stops after about 9 seconds every time. I am running the most up-to-date version of iTunes for Windows

The album was Grateful Dead Sunshine Daydream Concert 8/27/72. Songs #11 and #12 start but don't finish on either my library or the ipod. There may be others too, but these two I noticed. The downloads were completed ok, the songs sync'ed ok and they appear to be the right length. I thought maybe I need to re-download them but how do you do that once they are purchased? Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracsk from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.

After about 30 seconds, my sound is stopping during playback.

I've tried to export my video for use on Computers, but everytime I do, the playback stops after about 30 seconds of playing no matter if I start from the beginning of the video, or click ahead to start from the middle on Windows Media Player. I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 12. Please help me figure this out - it is so frustrating.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 installed on?
Before export, how does the Timeline play back in the Edit area monitor (video and audio)?
What is your export - mp4, .mov, wmv, flv, .avi etc....? Have you tried other players, like the VLC player?
But, let us start at the beginning....
What are the properties of your source media? What is the brand/model/settings for the camera that recorded the source?
How are you getting that source into the Premiere Elements project and what are you or the program setting as the project preset. See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel Aspect Ratio (even if they look grayed out).
The project preset description should match the properties of your source.
Now for the export...what are you selecting under Publish+Share/assumed Computer/. And what are you setting as the preset for your choice? Are you using the default settings for the preset or are you customizing them under the Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab?
Please supply more details. If any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.

Web player randomly cut off sound and stop playing after about 5 seconds.

My web player cut off the sound and stops after about 5 seconds. The only way to get it to work again without refreshing the page it to select a different time periode in the time bar. Also it happens more often at the first 25% of the movie.
I am using safari with add block on a Macbook pro retina (if this helps with the issue).
What can I do to solve this.

I load it independently and as soon as I get to a document it counts out the 10 seconds and exits. no trace of any spy ware or virus.

TS1424 When I try to watch a rented movie from ITUNES ver 11 on my WIN 7 64 bit PC...the movie starts then after about 30 seconds I receive the following error "Itunes has stopped working"

I downloaded and rented a movie from ITUNES ver 11. I'm able to run the movie but after about 30 seconds I receive an error.

Windows offers me to down load ITUNES WIN 7 64 bit, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the 64 bit version...no joy... I have run the repair option and still nothing.. Any suggestions???

I'm expreriencing the same conditions with the same environment. Windows 8, iTunes-64 11.1.2.32, iTunes Store with a processing bar up to 80 +/- and the POPUP MESSAGE OF "iTunes stopped working. The error ...."
I UNINSTALLED, iTUNES WITH NO POSITIVE RESULT. I CHECKED THE FIREWALL AND IS THE SAME DEFINITION AS THE PREVIOUS ITUNES VERSION.
My iTunes StoreS from my iPhones ARE OK.
I'm spending a lot of time of research for WINDOW'S iTUNE with no solutions....

When recording a slideshow, why does audio stop recording after about 30 seconds even though slides and presentation continues?

I'm doing everything the same and have made many successful slideshow recordings using Keynote, but since updating the Yosemite and then updating Keynote the audio just stops recording after about 30 seconds.
The slides keep on changing and recording the video, but after 30 seconds the audio stops recording even though it seems to be registering the sound and the mic is not muted in Keynote.
Is there some change or new setting I am not aware of that needs to be altered?
Any advice would be helpful as I need to record a lot of presentations.

I can't imagine this will work as the the application is tied into a specific computer and user ID to prevent unauthorised use of single use applications. Copying over has not worked with previous versions of Keynote.
It worked for me. I guess it could be because we bought our Macs together and have home sharing or something. Either way, I'm running Yosemite but with Keynote 6.2.2. and not updating again until Apple do something about this bug.

I solved the problem by uninstalling all of the Adobe stuffr I had, then installing the lower version. Beware of "X" on standalone PC's. I believe that X thought I used a server.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel.
