Adobe Reader XI stürzt ab

Guten Tag allerseits
Ich habe ein kleines Problem.
Und zwar habe ich ein *.pdf File, welches ich mit Ctrl-F durchsuchen möchte. Wenn ich da 2 Buchstaben eintippe und danach suchen will, stürzt das Dokument ab.
Das File scheint nicht beschädigt zu sein, da es auf einem anderen Lokalen Profil und auf anderen Rechnern funktioniert.
Version des Readers: 11.0.6
Grösse des Files: ca 180 MB
Anz. Seiten: fast 12'000
An was könnte es liege, dass dies nicht funktioniert und wie könnte man dies beheben?
Bin um jeden Ratschlag und jede Hilfe dankbar.

OS: ist ein Windows 7 Professional, 64-Bit Version
Hardware: HP Probook 6560B mit i5 Prozessor und 4 GB RAM
Die Herkunft des PDF ist mir unbekannt.
Der Computer bzw. Laptop kann nicht zu schwach sein, da es auf einem anderen Benutzerprofil aufgeht und auch danach gesucht werden kann.
Gibt es irgendwelche Benutzerkonteneinstellungen, die falsch sein könnten?

Habe die Vor_ Einstellungsdatei bereits umbeannt, habe die Grafiktreiber aktualisiert. Die Schriftfonts überprüft, alles ohne Erfolg.
Ach ja, das ADOBE Paket habe ich gesamt deinstalliert und neu installiert.
Auch ohne Erfolg!
Arbeitsspeicher überrüft.
64bit Version unter Windows 8

Hier eine Stellungnahme des Autors von PTBSync. (www.netcult.ch/elmue)
Die Schriftart Ptb_Clk2.ttf enthält die Zeiger und das Ziffernblatt der Analoguhr, die PTBSync auf dem Desktop darstellen kann.
Diese Schriftart wurde mit Corel Draw erstellt.
Der Desktopkalender von PTBSync wird vom Internet Explorer generiert, der keinerlei Probleme hat, die Schriftart korrekt anzuzeigen.
Wenn du die Schriftart in Word auswählst, kannst du damit schreiben. (Es erscheinen natürlich keine Buchstaben sondern Zeiger)
Wenn du die Schriftart in Paint Shop pro auswählst, funktioniert sie ebenfalls.
3 Programme die problemlos funktionieren, zeigen, dass die Schriftart nicht das Problem ist.
Was das Problem ist, ist hingegen ganz offensichtlich:
Generell gilt: Ein Programm das abstürzt, ist IMMER fehlerhaft programmiert.
Ein korrekt programmiertes Programm zeigt hingegen eine Fehlermeldung, wenn es mit einer Datei nicht klarkommt, aber es stürzt nicht ab.
Adobe Photoshop Elements CS4 hat einen Programmierfehler, der zum Absturz führt.
Adobe hat dieses Problem bereits erkannt und behoben.
Installiere dir also eine neuere Version und es gibt keine Abstürze mehr.
Wenn du das aus irgendwelchen Gründen nicht willst, lösche die Schriftart Ptb_Clk2.ttf.
Keine Sorge: PTBSync wird wegen einer fehlenden Schriftart nicht gleich abstürzen ;-)
PTBSync wird weiterhin funktionieren, natürlich ohne Analoguhr.

Adobe Reader reagiert häufig nicht

Beim Öffnen von PDF-Dateien stürzt der Adobe Reader und auch der Adobe Pro Acrobat häufig ab und reagiert dann nicht mehr und das nervt extrem.
Was kann ich tun?
Neu installieren der Anwendungen habe ich bereits probiert, leider brachte das nichts. Genau darum habe ich auch zusätzlich den Reader installiert in der Hoffnung auf eine stabil laufende Anwendung zum Anzeigen von pdf-Dateien.
Technische Infos:
Durch Auto-Update sind beide Versionen auf aktuellstem Stand.
OS: Win 7, 64bit.

Dazu bräuchte man genaue Systeminformationen und die Crashdetails aus der Windows Ereignisanzeige. Könnte auch schlicht und ergreifend ein Problem mit der hardwarebeschleunigten Seitendarstellung sein und da würde vermutlich schon ein Update des Grafiktreibers oder das Ausknipsen der entsprechendne Funktionen in den Voreinstellungen helfen...

Sprachausgabe Adobe Reader XI funktioniert nicht

die Sprachausgabe funkioniert nicht. Es sollen damit englische Texte vorgelesen werden.
Folgende Stimmen stehen im Reader zur Auswahl:
"Microsoft Anna - Englisch (US)", "Mary", "Mike" - wenn sie eingestellt werden tut sich garnichts;
bei "Sample TTS Voice" - ertönt immer dasselbe: bla, bla, bla, the .... (bis man auf Stop geht)
und bei "ScanSoft Steffi_dry40_16kHz" stürzt das Programm ab.
Ich habe es auch schon bei anderen PC's versucht, aber ohne Erfolg.
Funktioniert die Sprachausgabe überhaupt bei Adobe Reader?

Über Windows 7 kann ich es nicht sagen, am Mac funktioniert die deutsche Sprachausgabe nicht. Ich habe den Bug gemeldet, aber für XI wurde es nicht geschafft, das funktionsfähig zu machen.

der Acrobat Reader XI stürzt jedesmal ab, wenn der Vorherige Ansicht Button geklickt wird (nur bei Sprache=Deutsch!).
Es soll hier in ein vorheriges verlinktes Dokument gesprungen werden.
Wird die Tastenkombination alt + nach-links-Taste benutzt, funktioniert es wunderbar.
Die Funktion fehlte übrigens in der Version X (oder sie war sehr gut versteckt), nachdem diese Funktion bis zur Version 9 ohne Probleme funktionierte.
So gesehen sind die Versionen X und XI aus meiner Sicht nicht wirklich Weiterentwicklungen und der Spruch einem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul stimmt nur bedingt.

hi guys..i want delete file from adobe reader after download from email. unfortunately i cant see any delete icon in my file. Any ways to delete it?

Check out the new and FREE 'AIR Browser' File Manager in appworld. You can use it to create/rename/delete folders and sub-folders, it can also copy, cut, paste and delete files.

how can I print just a part of the page and not the full page with Adobe Reader v 10.1.2? I need to print a engineering print with lot of information but information is too small in letter size and I don't have a plotter.

Two ways to print a portion of a page: zooming or using the Snapshot Tool.
ZOOMING:
Zoom into the area you want to print.
Click the Print icon.
Under "Pages to Print", make sure "Current view" is selected under "More options" (you may need to click "More options" to open it).
If you aren't satisfied with the preview, try clicking "Fit" under the Size button.
SNAPSHOT
Choose Edit > Take A Snapshot.
Drag a rectangle around the area you want to print.
Click the Print icon.
Under "Pages to Print", make sure that "Selected Graphic" is selected under "More options".
To enlarge the snapshot to fit the sheet of paper, choose "Fit" under the Size button.

Email pdf to iPad - is there a way to open multiple pdfs at one time without having to hold each individually and open with adobe reader?

I have a large number of pdf files to send to an iPad and it is taking forever to hold down each one and then choose to open with adobe reader. Just wondering if there is a way to select all from the email to do the same action?

Not that i know of but an alternate would be to use something like dropbox instead of mail. Their app works very well.

That is a problem caused by Microsoft or one of their recent updates. Here is the solution
in the Windows Explorer address bar type %APPDATA%
on the right-hand side double-click on the Microsoft folder
now look for a folder named Crypto; delete it, or rename it to something like Crypto-old

Please let me know if you have tried converting any other PDF to word with Reader.
Alos, please sign up at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/" using your Adobe ID credentials. Click on 'ExportPDF' tab and upload the PDF that you want to convert to Word.

Welcome to Adobe Community. Yes it can be installed on a different drive. Though some of the files installed by it will still be installed on C: drive.
When you run the installer, use 'Change destination folder' at the bottom of the panel
If you already have Adobe Reader installed on the C: drive, you must uninstall it before installing a new version on a different location.

PDF portfolio view in Adobe reader

Hi,
I recently created a PDF portfolio for a co-worker using Acrobat 9.0 Pro. I used the Grid with File Preview layout and added a header that appears right above the grid. Everything works well except that when my co-worker opens the PDF portfolio in Adobe Reader, I think it's 9.0, the preview pane takes up most of the screen so that the grid and header are barely visible. Of course, all my co-worker has to do is move the divider over to the right so that the divider is around the middle of the screen, then he can clearly see the complete grid along with the header.
Is there anyway to make my PDF portfolio open up in Reader so that the dividing line is right in the middle between the grid and preview pane so that the grid and header are clearly visible without having to move the divider? Also, I encountered the same problem when I tried to use a welcome window. In Acrobat 9.0, the welcome window is dead center over the grid and the preview pane is invisible unless I click to proceed. However, when I open the PDF portfolio in Reader, the welcome window only appears in the grid section and again, the gird section is mostly covered up by the preview pane.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Error when starting Adobe reader 11 App-V package

How do I disable Acrobat reader for checking if the ARM Service is present?
I have created an app-v 5.0 package for Acrobat reader 11. When I run the package on the sequencer I don't have any issues. When I run it on my test machine I get a pop-up stating "There was an error during installation. An internal
error occurred."
I have already tried removing the reg keys in the package that refer to ARM, but this hasn't worked.
Is there a step I need to take before sequencing that will resolve this?
