Adobe Readers Uninstallable

June 14 submitted this problem. Still unresolved Download,any version of Reader will not start or activate. Have Windows 7, 62 bit, Explorerer. Wells Fargo informed me that I needed a new version of Reader. I had 9.5.5. to open PDF bank statements. When I couldn't get any readers to Download, I uninstalled 9.5.5..No luck. Deactivated McAffee and also "popups." numerous times. Pat Willener recommended that I go to the Offline Installer, still no luck.
Comments and advice please. Don't know what to do.

The down load did not even begin let alone complete.
By no luck, I meant that no down load occurred and ergo no install.
Just ran a complete virus check of the computer no viruses. I wasn;t actually starting a "new topic" as I brought it up June 14 and you suggested some fixes.
The problem right now is I need an Adobe Reader program and am unable to download one.
Don't know if this is pertinent or not. But just tried to open Adobe.com program on my computer. Message was that I needed updates to Adobe AIR. They downloaded but on the install a message "Sorry an error has occured.: Could it be that there is an agreement that should have been signed but wasn"t?
Sorry to ramble on. I appreciate your help.

Hi Team,
I have designed a Fillable PDF Form in Live Cycle Designer 8.2.1, the form works perfectly well in Adobe Reader versions 9.0 or greater,
but messes up layout and structure in Adobe Readers 7 or 8 or older versions.., more over users are having problems, saving data.
I have Acrobat Professional with Adobe Reader Extensions, but still having issues, could any one please help,

Not possible with the actual versions of Adobe Reader.

Adobe Readers Crash

Hi,
I have a problem with Adobe Readers 8 and 9.
For same files (e.g. IRS p547.pdf, downloaded from www.irs.gov)
I can read and move from page to page for a while. All of sudden, instead of transition to the next page I get a message "AR have encountered a problem and will close."
The Windows Event Log file in Applications folder says:
"Event ID 1000. Fault app. acrobat32.exe 9.0.0.32 module agm.dll 4.18.71.1 address 0x000112b0."
Debugging implies that it is an access violation.
Computer HP Pavilion a320n 1 GB memory 80 GB HD
OS Windows XP Home SP3
I hope somebody knows what does it mean and a work around it.

Does Adobe's uninstaller automatically deactivate license?

I think I might have messed up here. I forgot to deactivate a license before running Adobe's uninstaller. Any chance it deactivates your license before wiping out all the apps? If not, am I screwed?

That feature was last seen in the CS2 uninstaller, then was removed for CS3 and CS4. It's back in CS5, thankfully. that doesn't really help you, though, so do cal lsupport as Andrew recommended.

In the past I have written some fairly critical comments about Adobe and it "Help" process for customers. I still feel that there needs to be an updating of their phone system which allows customers some way to talk with a "Real Person" no matter what their situation. This still not being the case, I purposely pushed some "WRONG" numbers on my telephone so that I could get to talk to someone alive and talking. By God's mercy and grace I finally did get a nice lady on the phone who explained that she was not the person who could fix my issues with Photoshop, etc. but that she would try to get me to someone who could help me. I was on hold for quite some time. After being "hung up on and cut off" by the phone susten three times early today, for a bit of the hold time I thought this might have been Adobe's way of getting rid of me simply by placing my call in "HOLD HELL." But that was not the case. Finally a very nice gentleman names AMIT answered my call. He asked me some questions about the problems I was experiencing and then he went to work very systematically. Several things he asked me to do did not work from my computer or from one of my internet servers. So instead of just saying, "Sorry, I can not help you any longer," he dug in even harder and we tried several different modes of getting the jobs done which were causing me problems. AMIT truly was a blessing to me today, not just because he fixed my computer and photo problems so very well, but because he did not abandon me. He knew I was a stranger in trouble and that I had no other recourse beside him if I was going to be able to get my work done... and in a very patient and polite way he walked me though several avenues and directions to get me where I needed to go to be able to do my work this evening. To ADOBE, I say, "You need to serve us your customers who need to contact you by phone in a much better way than to just lead us to a dead end which reads "WE ARE VERY BUSY. TRY AGAIN LATER." But I also thank you for providing me with a very, very nice and well-trained technician who truly was a blessing to me. To AMIT, I sincerely say, "THANK YOU VERY MUCH, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART."

Also in the interface properties under sfp,
when I change the interface type from
"ABAP dictionary based interface" to
"XML schema based interface".
All the entries under Form interface->Import parameters get wiped out, and I have to enter them again.

Adobe flash uninstaller problem -

i have run the uninstaller for adobe flash and gained a ghostly adobe flash icon on my deskktop and i want shot of it. any help please.

Cant delete or remove adobe readers i have two of them

why have i got 2 abobe readers on my lappy?? it is causeing a problem it will not let me use my printer and also it wont let me remove or delete, and i cant play games.

Since updating to Firefox 4.0.1 I can no longer open and populate fields in eith Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Readers wher I used to be able to.

In earlier version of Firefox I could open a PDF file from my Insurance provider with some of the fields automatically populated. Since upgrading to Firefox 4 I can no longer open PDF file from this site.
I have upgraded to Adobe Acrobat X and also Adobe Reader X in an effort to resolve this issue with no luck.
I have changed the settings under tools/options to use Adobe in Firefox as well as use Adobe as default with no difference.
I seem to recall a note of some sort when upgrading Firefox to 4.0 about compatibility with Adobe but cannot recall the details.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
I use Windows 7 64 bit operating system.

There you'll find each of the incremental updates to Acrobat 10.
They must be installed one at a time in sequence.

Now, if after attempted updates fail then you'll need to speak with your IT Department.
You need your install of Acrobat 10 updated to dot version 10.1.7.

Some things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
If you cannot open Reader by itself, try to disable Protected Mode in the registry; download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

How can i get forms that adobe readers can submit.

we send out PDF forms for our clients to complete and they were created in adobe. In the last few weeks that has stopped working and they get the error message. This document enabled extended features in adobe reader. this document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is not longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document. They have been created the same way. So I subscribed to forms central full version and they still get that error message.

Again: No scroll bar in Adobe readers

The missing scroll bar in Adobe reader is a common topic.
However, none of the descriptions I have found seem to resolve the problem. or they start so deep inside the settings so that a less experienced user can follow.
Example, when I open a pdf inside MS IE, how do I enable scrolling from here?
What do I do when "Enable scrolling" under view is "greyed out" and are unaccessible in Acrobat Reader?
I just cannot find a simple, detailed "how to" anywhere and this on a subject.
My main point however, is that it why change this in the first place? All normal users want the scroll bar!
Why change something that all people need and always worked?
I really like to complain to Adobe about such changes that are unnecessary and make life just more complicated, newver versions so full of features the user never orgardly need.
What we need is a simple reader, without all frills , whistles and bells....Adobe need a reader light here.

Locking form but not fillable areas so Adobe Readers can use it.

I made a form in Adobe Acrobat 9 that has fillable fields in it. When I email it to people they are unable to save it. The pop-up message they get is below.
I use security setting to make it compatible with Acrobat 3.0 and above, set Permissions with Changes Allowed (Commenting, filling in form fields, and signing existing signature fields)
What do I need to do to fix this?

In Acrobat, select: Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader
This will give the document certain usage rights and allow Reader users to save a modified document.

Do I need two Adobe Readers?

Hi. My Adobe Reader X would not work, so I downloaded the newer, Abobe Reader XI. I seemed to me that I must only need one reader on my Windows XP, so I attempted to uninstall the earlier, Adobe X. It refuses to uninstall. Is this supposed to happen, or is the older one supposed to remain on my pc?
And, if I am supposed to uninstall it, what shall I do?

Upgrade from one Reader version to the next should automatically uninstall the previous version. But possibly the older installation was somehow corrupted, and it could not complete the uninstall.
Download the Acrobat Removal Tool http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Run the tool multiple times, until all installed Reader versions are removed, then install the latest version again.
Note that the removal tool will also remove Acrobat, if it is installed on your system.
