Adobe Rendering Process Takes To Long.....

I have just had Premiere for a while and dont use it that often, i have tried time and time again to publish a project to a dvd but the rendering, or encoding process takes hours.  My system is up to date and has the highest specs needed for the program to run. I am not sure what the promblem is and cant seem to be able to figure it out..... Thanks and i hope someone can help me>>>>

Please tell us about your Assets and your Project.
If SD material (and going to DVD, I'd assume so), then you might be interested in using Bill Gehrke's benchmarking test files and his spreadsheet. This will tell you where your system falls in the performance arena.
From that site, you can start to match up your system's specs., with those of others.
Harm Millard has done some excellent articles on how to optimize one's system (and also how to purchase and setup wisely). If you find that your system is not performing up to par with the test files vs others' systems, I strongly suggest that you read each one of those. He covers everything from CPU to HDD and also includes powersupplies. Great reading for anyone with equipment, or setup questions.
Good luck,

  • F4 Process takes a long time to show the values

    Hi gurus,
We are facing an issue with the InfoObject Sup. Company Code 0COMP_CODE, this characteristic has 200 enties in the Master Data, and 10000 values in the SID table.
This infoObject is being used in a Query (3.X version) and when we press the F4 to obtain the values, it takes a long time to show them.
The query takes data from a Multiprovider, and the multiprovider only has one Cube.
The issue is happening with a lot of query (obviosly, with the same object), and there is no reason to do it I think, because the amount of records is not too much (10 K rec).
So, what do you think is happening? all your help will be helpfull.
    Regards, Federico

    Frederico / Rob,
setting the InfoObject property of 'Query execution filter value selection' to 'values in master data table' has the consequence that it is indeed faster on the query selection screen, but then when selecting filter values after the report has been displayed is not restricted to the values in the report results - again all master data values are shown for selection. This is not acceptable to our users.
Ideally, I would like to see two settings for query execution - master data for the initial selection screen, only posted values for navigation after the query has been executed. But I doubt that's going to happen.
In BW3.5 I seem to remember that you can set the choice of F4 display within the web template (can't in BI7).
NB for BI7 Java execution, examine the 'order for F4 help' on the InfoObject attributes and remove most of SAP's default settings. This will speed things up a little.

  • Importing process takes too long!!!

I am trying to import CD's but the whole process at first goes ok, I can do a song in about 26 seconds but by the time I move on to the second CD it starts taking a long time to the point that it actually takes 18 minutes to do a song. I followed some ones advice to uncheck the box in preferences/advanced/the option to slow down the process if CD is damaged. It still does not work. I really need help because I have a lot of CD's and I want to import them!!!!

Generally, tape must be imported in real time.  So a 40 minute lecture is going to take 40 minutes to import.
Export speed to a QuickTime file depends a lot on the specs of your computer and the quality settings you are using.
The the QT file is too large to put a 700 mb CD anyway.
That's where the magic of DVD encoding comes in.  A 40 minute movie can easily be encoded using iDVD to fit on a DVD.

  • Process takes a long time to run

I've taken a look at this month-end process and noticed that it does extensive sorting. I've tuned the sort_area_size, sort_area_retained_size so that most sorting occurs in memory. Hit ratios are high 90s as well when the process is running.....
What else can I try? Will a view help if I create it? I don't think so...What about materialized views instead of a simple view...
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply dbahelp.
The smallest tables have like 50000 rows, the largest about 3 million rows. You think caching would help? It looks to me that if I cache say the smallest tables, the cache will be refreshed anyway when the large tables are being read.
I'm looking at the indexes involved but there is always the balance between indexes. I don't want to run into performance issues when other processes start to update the tables. In other words, I don't want to fix this problem by making other processes slower.

  • Opening PDF files in Reader itself takes a long time

When I try opening PDF Files in Reader itself, this process takes a long time (more then 2 minutes for opening PDF files).
When I try opening PDF Files directly from My computer, My documents: no problem (direct opening).
Running Reader XI on Windows XP SP3.

    Hi,
According to your description, you want to open pdf file in the Adobe Reader directly from document library.
I suggest you do as the followings:
    1. In SharePoint Central Administration site, click Application Management->Manage Web Applications, select the web application for the site. Click Authentication
Providers, select default zone, and select Yes for "Enable Client Integration?".
    2. click Site Settings-> Site collection features->"Open Documents in Client Applications by Default" click Activate
    3. set the default open behavior for a document library by using the document library settings page.
    4. Enable the “Adobe Arcobat SharePoint OpenDocuments Component”add-on in the IE11.
    5. Add your current site URL to the trusted web sites in IE11.

  • IPhone sync with iTunes takes too long

Why does the sync process take so long? I have a large address book and a few gigs of media, but the sync process sometimes takes almost 20 minutes! It's ridiculous. Any advice.

    Hi,
I'm using the new USB cable that came with my iPhone that I bought yesterday. Not sure if it's USB 2.0.
My iPod from a few years ago uses a Firewire cable.
My music is on an external LaCie hard drive.
The transfer rate of songs from my external to my iPhone is about a minute per song. However, the transfer rate of songs from my external to my iPod is about 5 seconds per song.
I just think that's a dramatic difference in time but am wondering if that's expected behavior or if there might be something wrong with my iPhone.
    Thanks.

  • ODI Planning metadata load takes very long time

    Hi,
I am using ODI for Hyperion Planning metadata load.
We are facing performance issues, as the process is taking a very long time.
The process uses "LKM File to SQL" and "IKM SQL to Hyperion Planning"
The number of rows to process in the file is around 70000. The file is generated from DRM. The ODI integration process takes around 2 hours to process and load the file to Planning. Even if we add 1 new row to the file and everything else remains same in the file, the process takes that long.
So, the whole process takes around 3 hours to load to Planning for all dimensions.
I tried increasing the fetch rows to 200 in source but there is no significant increase in performance. The Heap size is set to maximum of 285 MB in odiparams.bat.
How can the performance be improved?
Can I use different LKM or change any other setting?
    Thanks,
    RS

    Hi John,
In my current implementation, the dimension hierarchies are maintained in DRM.
So, business directly makes changes in DRM and exports the hierarchies in a text file.
I agree that loading 70000 records is odd on regular basis, but it makes it easier for business to retain control of their hierarchies and maintainance is easy in DRM.
On bulk loading to DB table and loading to Planning, I have 2 questions:
    1. Do you think that "LKM SQL to SQL" [Oracle to Planning] will have significant improvement in performance over "LKM File to SQL" [File to Planning], as we are still using "Sunopsis Memory engine" as staging area?
    2. I checked your blog, there you have suggested using "Sunopsis memory engine" for "LKM SQL to SQL".
Is it mandatory to use "Sunopsis emory engine" as staging area, can we use any other user defined staging area [Oracle tables]?
    Cheers,
    RS

  • When a process flow activity takes a long time to run.

    Hello,
I have a process flow activity that sometimes takes a long time to run so that the process flow never ends. Is it possible that I can set the activity so that during a certain time that this has not been executed automatically flow process to continue?
I'm Using Oracle Warehouse Builder 11g on Windows Server 2003 R1.
    Greetings and thanks.

What I've done in the past is just use a small polling procedure (PL/SQL) and a conditional transition in the process flow, depending on what the proc returns (Continue or Fail) then the flow of control in the Process is changed.
I think the key also is to not have too much paralellism going on too, that way it's easy to streamline the PF and remove slow moving processes to a more linear path (stopping bottle necks on your logical AND).

  • OPM process execution process parameters takes too long time to complete

PROCESS_PARAMETERS are inserted every 15 min. using gme_api_pub packages. some times it takes too long time to complete the batch ,ie completion of request. it takes about 5-6 hrs long time ,in other time s it takes only 15-20 mins. This happens at regular interval...if anybody can guide me I will be thankful to him/her..
    thanks in advance.
    regds,

Generally the slowest part of the process is in the extraction itself...
Check in your source system and see how long the processes are taking, if there are delays, locks or dumps in the database... If your source is R/3 or ECC transactions like SM37, SM21, ST22 can help monitor this activity...
Consider running less processes in parallel if you have too many and see some delays in jobs... Also indexing some of the tables in the source system to expedite the extraction, make sure there are no heavy processes or interfaces running in the source system at the same time you're trying to load... Check with your Basis guys for activity peaks and plan accordingly...
In BW also check in your SM21 for database errors or delays...
    Just some ideas...

  • What's wrong with this Forum? Why does Adobe take so long to reply to posts?!

What's wrong with this Forum? Why does Adobe take so long to reply to posts?!
This is actually "specific" to this Photoshop Forum.
I typically get responses back from other Adobe forum promptly.
    Chime in.

The Adobe engineering folks DO duck in here from time to time - and that's a BLESSING!  Please name any other big company where you get to interact with the engineers AT ALL.  I can't.  But I suspect the engineers actually have a lot oof real work to do, and their time here is necessarily limited.
Your comments are more along the line of "I pay a huge amount, for that I expect better support".  These are very valid comments.  But reality is different from what we may expect, and this forum is not the place to expect Adobe support participation AT ALL.  In fact, the technical support people at Adobe often direct users to come here (something I've always found amusing).
At the higher level, Adobe may simply not be spending enough on support for literally millions of users.  Is is greed or smart business to try to minimize support cost?  That's up for individuals to decide.
I suggest you write a snail-mail letter to the Adobe president if you're not getting the support you need.

  • Send async message between bpm processes takes long time

    Hi all,
    We use XI 3.0 SP16.
    We have 2 BPM Processes.
One of these Processes sends an asynchronous message, which is directed
to the other (by the receiver determination defined in the directory).
In SXMB_MONI, we see that the "End Time" of the asynchronous send step
is about 3 seconds after the "Start Time".
Furthermore, when the first process sends this message to several other
processes, this time is longer, and gets up to 10 seconds for the
    last "send" step in SXMB_MONI.
What can be the cause for this?
How can we minimize this time?
    Thanks ahead for any help,
    Yoav.

    Hi Sravya,
    Thanks for your answer.
The main process is similar to the Multicast pattern.
The other process(es) is an Async/Sync Bridge.
We use A/S Bridge for every receiver so that we can first send all requests asynchronously,
and only then handle responses as they arrive.
(Otherwise, a request is sent only after the former response arrives).
However, paradoxically, using A/S bridge makes the whole process take longer (for few receivers) due to the problem described.
    Yoav.

  • AME CS6 rendering with AE and Pr takes too long

    Hi Guys,
Need some help here. i have rendered a 30 secs mp4 video with 1920 x 1080 HD format 25 frames w/o scripting in AME for 4 hours!
Why does it take too long? I have rendered a 2 minute video with same format w/ scripting but only spare less than 30 minutes for rendering.
Im using After Effects and Premium Pro both CS6 and using Dynamic Link in AME.
What seems to be wrong in my current settings?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

This may be a waste of time, but it won't take a minute and is something you should always do whenever things go strangely wrong  ............ trash the preferences, assuming you haven't done it already.
Many weird things happen as a result of corrupt preferences which can create a vast range of different symptoms, so whenever FCP X stops working properly in any way, trashing the preferences should be the first thing you do using this free app.
    http://www.digitalrebellion.com/prefman/
Shut down FCP X, open PreferenceManager and in the window that appears:-
    1. Ensure that only  FCP X  is selected.
    2. Click Trash
The job is done instantly and you can re-open FCP X.
There is absolutely no danger in trashing preferences and you can do it as often as you like.
The preferences are kept separately from FCP X and if there aren't any when FCP X opens it automatically creates new ones  .  .  .  instantly.

  • I have been sent an email saying my podcast was accepted and will be up on iTunes in a few hours. That was 5 hours ago. How long should this process take?

I have been sent an email saying my podcast was accepted and will be up on iTunes in a few hours. That was 5 hours ago. How long should this process take?

There's no fixed time. If it's been accepted - presumably you've been given a URL? - it should appear reasonably soon. However it can dake some days before it turns up in the search results. The podcast image, if you have one, may also take some days to appear.

  • Activation of Adobe Form takes too long / XML problem?

    Dear all,
I copied a standard form to customer name a year ago with life cycle designer version 7. The designer was updated to 8.
When making a change to the adobe form now, the activation takes more than 30 minutes in some cases. I copied the original form again and the activation takes less than 3 minutes.
When calling the XML Coding-tab within the designer it also takes very long and in some cases the system crashes ....
Has anyone an idea why this happens and if there is anything that i can do with changing attributes or other settings? I also tried to copy the copied form again. Same problem. Only when copying the standard form the activation is normal. I made too many changes so to start over again would take long. I would like to avoid this.
    Thank you!
    Regards
    Viktoria

    Hi,
I could not solve this. Had to create the form again. Tried to copy most of the elements into it.
Now it works again and is activated within 1-2 minutes.
    So no real solution...
    Regards
    Viktoria
