Adobe Revel and Lightroom

Adobe Revel do not export pictures to Lightroom 4.3
Everything went smoothly earlier, but something happend. All my pictures have been updated on my Iphone, so it seems like the Lightroom does not comunicate with my Adobe Revel account.

i am totally confused with the 'new' revel; i put the free app on my iphone, but i do not use my phone for editing pics, i use a dell laptop w/older version of elements (7). how do i get my photos that are stored on my laptop to go to revel; i spoke with adobe and they told me that the version 11 of elements was free if i purchased a premium subscription to revel??? how do i do this for my laptop; i do not want all my photos on my iphone. is revel a storage unit or what exactly is it and how do i use it on laptop? thanks. Sorry for the confusion, here's the deal on Revel. Revel is a photo sharing and cloud storage app that is based on a modern technology platform and was designed from its inception to employ new technologies. Revel was designed to address the changing needs introduced by the new multi-device world we now live in and has a focus on archiving, organization, and sharing across devices. It is currently available for Mac and iOS, as well as on the web at Adoberevel.com. It keeps your photos organized in libraries and albums within Revel. If you choose, you can use the editing tools in the Revel apps to make quick changes to your photos. You can also share albums privately on AdobeRevel.com by emailing a link, or share chosen photos publicly on your favorite social networks. Photos in Revel are automatically synced across all your devices, so you always have access to your latest photos no matter where you are or what device you happen to be using. Since they are stored on the cloud, you do not need to allocate space on every device for the same photos.
If you use an older version of Elements to edit your photos, you can save files to your hard drive and then upload them to Revel from there. If you upgrade to Elements 11, then you upload directly from Revel. Either way, the photos can get there. If you are already a paying customer of Elements plus or Photoshop.com for extra storage, then you get a free year of Revel Premium. That gives you unlimited uploads. Otherwise, you can use the free version of Revel and havce 50 uploads a month included. Space is unlimited. I hope that helps. Adobe revel for lightroom 5, unsafe

I recently upgraded to lightroom 5, so..had to download & reinstall the Adobe Revel export plugin. After a frustrating time installing the thing..it worked for one day. Then...my Norton Security quarantined it, stating it was exhibiting unusual behaviour, and it was from an untrusted source ( cloudnet.net) so, am stuck because when i try to install the plugin from "cloudnet.net".. my Norton security quarantines it. I delved into the workings of "cloudnet.net", and found that it is associated with "Delta Search" another site noted for malware & spyware, and other malicious adware. Where can i get a safe Revel plugin for lightroom?...

It appears that the Delta Search software found its way to your computer independently of Revel or Lighrroom and may be interfering with your installation of hte plugin.

I have Adobe photoshop and Lightroom CC installed on my imac computer. (Subscription) How do i get it installed and activated on my macbook pro as well? I believe the licence allows that.

Why does Adobe Bridge and Lightroom not recognise some jpeg files?

I am trying to use Adobe Bridge and/or Lightroom to add tags to a large number of images that I have. However when adding images, almost 1000 of the 6900 images fail to import to the Lightroom gallery and the same images do not preview and will not let me edit their metadata in Bridge.
If this has happened to anybody else I would greatly appreciate some help.
Alternatively if anybody knows of other programs i can use to easily add tags to many many images please let me know =)

Hi Keith,
Your free trial account for Revel will remain free unless you specifically select to have a subscription. The free account is limited to 2GB of storage.

First, turn off subscriptions > iTunes Store: Purchasing and managing auto-renewing subscriptions
Now delete the app from your iPhone.
Press and hold down the app icon until it jiggles then tap the x with a circle then tap Delete. Press the Home button once or twice to stop the jiggling.

Are Adobe Revel and iCloud Mutually exclusive?

I just installed Adobe Revel on my iPhone 4 (1os 6.1.3) and now iCloud seeming has stopped synchronizing my photos with my Win7 pc. Is this a know problem? Other than deleting Revel (I like the editing features on iPhone) is there another solution?

I also posted this question on Adobe's forum for Revel, and received the information that I should log out of Revel and test. That did the trick!
Part of this problem probably was my ignorance - I incorrectly thought that closing the Revel application on my iPhone would LOG ME OUT. It's not intuitive how to log out of Revel -
check settings
click on your id
then you will find sign out
So they are mutually exclisive when you remain logged into Adoberevel, but iCloud sync does work once you've signed out of revel

Can anyone recommend a process for moving just my OS and Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to the SSD?

I have an early 2011 MBP running Mountain Lion. I just removed the superdrive and added an SSD. I want to use it to boot from and also run Photoshop and Lightroom from. Can anyone recommend a process for moving my OS and those programs to the SSD?

I'm assuming your doing this because of data you don't want pernament on the SSD as they can' be scrubbed like hard drives can.
Disconnect any other drives.
1: Format the SSD 1 partition, click the box, option GUID and OS X extended journaled as the format.
2: Download Carbon Copy Cloner.
3: Clone your MacintoshHD partition to a blank powered external drive also formatted the same as above.
4: Hold option/alt key and boot the machine (wired or built in keyboard) and then select the clone to boot from,
5: Once in the clone, click it's drive name and change the name if it's the same as the OS X boot volume.
6: On the clone, head to System Preferences > Accounts and create a new Admin account.
7: If you need to move files between accounts on the clone, see this. Combine two+ Users Accounts on the same machine (be careful that your selecting the correct clones other account)
8: Once your moving files on the clone is complete, then log into the new user account and delete the old user account.
9: Use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the clone to the SSD.
10: Use Disk Utiltiy to repair permissions on all drives.
The SSD should be moved to the HD slot and the HD to the optical slot and used as a file drive.
CCC has a option to not include certain folders like the other user account you don't want, however I tend not to recommend things that are not too far out of line with Apple's ways of doing things as it usually results in bad things occuring. Somewhere in OS X it's recorded of that other user account, so it might still show up in logins and such.
Also you may want to transfer some files to the other account, so that's why I recommend this method.

Hi,
Are there any MB users who can let me know if these apps run well on a 2.2 with 2mb of ram, macbook. I am a photographer who is looking to go apple and for the sort of work it will be needed for the size of the MB suits my needs rather than a MBP. Any help would be great.

My partner runs phtoshop cs3 and lightroom on a 1st gen cor duo macbook with 2mb of ram, the images take a second or two to sharpen when you open RAW images, other than that everything works pretty well, if you are buying a new one you shouldn't have any problems, go for it, you wont be disappointed.

Confusion with Adobe Element and Lightroom?

Hello, I am new to the Mac world and purchased the IMac. I loaded up some pics into iPhoto and followed a discussion regarding the "import" issues into "Lightroom". I followed the instructions with "Element". Question: Now that i've test a photo yet cleaned it up in iPhoto and a lil in Element, what is the purpose of utilizing Lightroom? i didn't see any tools that were any indifferent . . Pleas Advise!

Thanks for the reply, I have to identify any direct questions relating to both products. I’m just thinking that both products are not needed. The initial concern started when I couldn’t import IPhoto into Lightroom, Element was the go between because it interacted with both IPhoto & Lightroom. Just wondering if both are needed.
