Hi,
I'm installing SAP SneakPreview SP15 (Java Stack). I would like to set up the Adobe Document Service and I have some problems eventhough I follow the installation instruction.
Here's my steps:
1. Install Java Stack.
2. Copy the pfx file into C:\usr\...\trust\credentials
3. Register using Visual Admin
4. Restart PDF Manipulation Module, Document Services Trust Manager and com.adobe/AdobeDocumentServices
5. Use the demo: http://localhost:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/TutWD_OnlineInteractiveForm/OnlineInteractiveFormApp
But I got error message: "Failed to process request. Please contact your system administrator."
Did I miss any steps? Any helps would be appreciated.

Thank for the info. After the installation, ADSUser has been created automatically (SneakPreview SP15), This is just the user in th Java Engine not the windows user.
As for the link: http://servername:50000/AdobeDocumentServices/Config, I saw it display some information. If i installed it correctly, what things I should look for?
I'll look at the document, I was hoping I can skip that but I guess I have to now and I hope the guide also valid for the sneakpreview version.

Note: I am using WAS Netweaver 04 (Java Stack) Sneak Preview SP 15 and NWDS SP 15 as well. The back end (ABAP Stack) I used is WAS Netweaver 04s.

Error while configuring credential for Adobe service

Hi,
While configuring Credential i am getting an error as popup. But when I click on OK, I am able to see the .pfx file in the top.
Error Details:
An error occurred while updating the credential expiry for alias 'ReaderRights':
com.adobe.service.sap.configuration.ConfigurationException:Unable to load keystore from credential. Please ensure the password is correct.
We have not received any password from SAP, only there was one password to download the file.
After all I am trying print forms, not an interactive form. But when I deploy and run it shows error.
Error Details:

Still I have not got any solution for this. But my bigest problem right now is, I am using print form and there is no interactive feature. There is lot of forum posts where it is specified that, credentials is not required for print forms..... But when I try to deploy the Adobe application I get below error....

The ntdll.dll file referenced is one which is part of Windows. That file shows as being 1.23MB on my system.
I'd try temporarily disabling UAC on your system to see of the behavior persists and quitting all programs running in the background and see if the behavior persists.
You can typically right-click and choose close or quit for most programs in the system tray
Disable and Turnoff UAC in Windows 7 from Control Panel
1. Access User Control Panel from Start Menu -> Control Panel -> User Accounts and Family Safety -> User Account
2. Click on
User Account Control settings link.
3. Move the Slider to Never Notify
4. Click OK to make the change effective
5. Reboot.

Adobe "Service" on Acrobat X - disaster!

Hi Guys,
Yesterday: spam from Adobe raving about their new "Acrobat X"
Yesterday: purchased and downloaded upgrade version.
Today: 97 minutes on hold before speaking to a call centre operator because software licence would not load
Today: 97 minutes on Adobe website trying to fill out a written service request (can't do so until product registered!)
Today: told my registration is "not valid" because I did not own Acrobat 7 for Mac (switched from PC late last year)
Today: told to go look for a form on the Adobe website where I could de-register my purchase for a refund.
Today: waited an additional ten minutes "on hold" for a "supervisor" before realising the line was dead.
I'm totally wierded out here - is Adobe service really this bad?
I have owned: CS2 MC, CS3 MC, CS4 MC, CS5 Production Premium.
Shouldn't I be eligible for an upgrade?
What have I missed?

When I purchased those suites of software it was not clearly stated that I was "giving up" anything. I'm sure it was in the fine print, but here's my thinking:
Like any other company, Adobe offers economy of scale.
And it should be noted that these software bundles are not exactly cheap. So:
In a world of easily downloadable fake serial numbers and "cracks",
And given my consistent purchasing of fully licenced Adobe suites (including Acrobat 8.0),
And including the latest version, CS5...
I think I am eligible for an upgrade to Acrobat X.
Adobe disagree.
Now the battle to retrieve the cost of my purchase begins - they pointed me to a function which doesn't work for me.
And there's still the issue of most of an entire morning spent on hold waiting for Adobe "customer service"

Well done for spotting the "New Message" window hiding in the taskbar.
The start position/size of the window can sometimes get corrupted accidentally.
To make it show each time you could try this.
1) Right click on the second window in the taskbar and select Move
2) Now use the Up/Down arrows on the keyboard to try and make the window appear
3) Now try using the mouse to resize the window.
If that doesn't work then we may have to reset your preferences.
In theory, there isn't really a maximum number of photos you can send by e-mail but Service Provides sometimes impose a maximum size for an e-mail of around 10Mb - it can be as low as 2Mb.
If you want to send large files (like RAW files) or a large number of photos, then it may be better to look at something like Dropbox. If you just want friends to look at them then you could use something like Fickr.
If you need further help, please give us the version of elements that you are using.

am developing a sample class using netbeans.
i have all the software windows 2003(adobe lifecycle assembler 7.2/ bea 8.1 sp4) installed on same box
I was running into similar issue as described above but that got fixed when added DocumentServicesLibrary.jar to class path in netbeans
when i try to debug my class . its throwing me a error
after this statement

Hi,
I will jot down the points in a nutshell.
1) Do you have the ADS server ready. Otherwise deploy ADS related SC's to your j2EE engine
2) Connect your R/3 to the ADS server
3) mainatain entries in the j2EE engine
4) Other steps like ADS user creation etc. too needs to be done
It is quite tedious;as Juan said, better to read the whole stuff before starting.
Do let know if you face any issues in between.

Sneak Preview NW 2004 - Adobe services

Dear all,
After installing the WAS (portal and ADS included) I tried to launch the Adobe test url. I received a WD error. I checked Visual Admin and saw that the XMLForm and PDFManipulation services are not started. Hence, I cannot start them either.
I already installed the licence.
How can I start the 2 Adobe services?

1. I created two user "j2eadm" and "SAPServiceJ2E"
2. Then I added additional rights to the administrators group :
"create a token" object and "create permanent shares" in the system administartion,
local security policy.
Once i enter the Passwords for these users while installation , when i click on

When using Adobe ExportPDF online service, it will run OCR itself when converting any PDF to other file format.
It also depends upon the quality of the scanned document, so it might be possible that it does not make the file searchable.

Adobe Service Manager CS5.5 wont quit

Adobe Service Manager CS5.5 seems to hang after I use Photoshop. Fine with Indesign etc. (even after closing photoshop). This prevents my iMac from shutting down. How do I switch it off/disable it or repair it in OSX7?
Any thoughts anyone? Its driving me crazy. It ends up on a grey screen with spinning icon indefinitely.

Using terminology valid for Windows that may have analogs on the Mac: there could be an Adobe service or a scheduled-task that is relaunching ASM after you have closed it. The ASM might also be a program that can be uninstalled that is not part of the suite so wouldn’t be cleaned up by CC cleaner.
