Adobe Site Problems

I have noticed that, every time I try to access the site www.adobe.com with Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer locks up, and I must do a ctrl-alt-del to terminate Internet Explorer. This problem happens consistently, and it has done so over several months. I am using Windows XP Profession SP3.
The only reason I can even access the site is I am using the Firefox browser. What is the problem? Thanks.

Search for Windows help... if Microsoft knows about IE7 locking, there will be an article... you may need to try several different search terms (be creative!) but there should be help here

Problem Downloading Trial Version of Lightroom 4 from Adobe Site

I am having problem downolading a trial version of Lightroom 4 from the Adobe site. It appears that I can download trial versions of any other digital photography-related product but not of Lightroom 4. About 2 weeks ago I downloaded the trial version of Adobe Elements and I have been getting familiar with it. I have to make a decision on the best product for my needs.
I went to Vistek shop in Ottawa yesterday and one of the specialist told me that maybe Lightroom would better meet my needs. Prior to purchasing, I am trying to test both product to understand the fundamental differences. For some reason, when I go to the download site ( https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_lightroom) and click on the download button, nothing happens. Given that I am a System's Engineer by trade, I thought that perhaps I cannot install 2 trial copies of adobe products on a single workstation so I tried downloading Lightroom 4 from 3 different PC/laptops but got the same results...
Can anybody help. This is a bit frustrating given that the Adobe element trial is coming to an end (about 2 weeks) and I want to proceed with purchasing the RIGHT PRODUCT...

The link, just above, is the latest update to LR 4.2 which may work fine.
About the original trial download page you had issues with, it does take a few seconds for the download button to become active, and once you click it, it takes a few more seconds for either a login pop to come up or the download, itself, to start, so maybe you have a popup blocker enabled or some security that doesn’t allow the download to occur. You might try a different browser. The following link is what the download attempts to use, but you need to have signed in to your Adobe account before trying to use it, I think:

my system crashed had it rebuilt with windows 7 - went to adobe site to download cs4 and LR - was told to download smaller file first so did. then went to the double and tried to download part one. i'm getting error message "the file archive part of CS4 is missing. you need all parts in the same folder." what does this mean? do i have to install my cs 3 or 2 or where ever i started? Someone please advise. thank you so much!

Nope, those downloads/ installers don't care for older stuff. You may have a simple permission problem where specific temporary files cannot be stored, so try running as admin. Also choose a custom location for the download files, not the default user directory or your desktop. This also often helps to avoid issues.

Problem with Gmail, Adobe site, Opera, Safari...

Hope you can help me asap.
I have installed OSX Mountain Lion few minutes ago, but I have a lot of problems...
1.) I cannot access Gmail in Opera (opera web browser) - I have the latest version, also trying reinstall it. It just says:

https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false&cont inue=http://mail.google.com/mail/&scc=1<mpl=default<mplcache=2
The certificate is valid, but permission denied.
I know, Opera isn't the best web browser, but because of my work, I need to use atleast 2 web browsers together... so I use Opera and Safari.
Never before had this problem with Opera.
2.) I cannot acces some sites on Safari... For example adobe.com (and it works in Opera...)
For example I cannot access adobe site:

Safari can't open the page "http://www.adobe.com/ because Safari can't connect to the server "www.adobe.com".

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.

Problem with finishing install of Flash Player on a Mac. When finishing by entering the requested password, the dialog box jiggles as if the p/w is invalid. But it works in the Adobe site.

I am trying to install Flash player on my Mac. All the steps are working as they should, until the point where I am asked to enter my password. I do this, and the dialog box jiggles as through the p/w were invalid. However, it works to sign in to the Adobe site. I just changed it to be sure and checked again.

There is no password required to download or install the Flash Player. Chances are your Mac is requiring you to enter its password to allow the installation to occur.

I have a replacement 9.7 Pendo pad, I cannot access the Adobe site

I have a 9.7 Pendopad which has been given to me as a replacement for one where the battry failed. I was able to access the Adobe web site to get access Overdrive Media, I cannot even get access to the Adobe Site to even sign in , I cannot access any par of the site not even support,
so I am doing this on my Laptop. the pad is anAndroid version 4.2.2 . I can access all the other Web sites but not Adobe .
Please has anyone any ideas how to gain access using my Tablet.

I don't know why this is happening to you; maybe your Wi-Fi connection is unstable?
I just tried from my Android tablet to login to http://www.adobe.com/, https://www.acrobat.com/, https://www.facebook.com/ - no problem whatsoever.
I also opened Adobe Reader, and I get autoatically connected to Acrobat.com

Can I download and install Creative Suite 6 Design Standard from the Adobe site?

I purchased cs6 standard when I bought my laptop so I have the hard copy of the program. However, my laptop does not have a disc drive so I was looking to download the file online then enter my product code and serial number. Am I missing something or is there no way to download and install online? Sorry if this is a redundant post, I couldnt find one that addressed my problem.
In short, can I download and install CS6 Standard from the Adobe site (not the trial version)? If yes, can someone post a link to direct me to it?

Simply download the trial and activate it with the serial. Or you could copy the files to an USB stick on another computer. There is no super-secret extra download.

I own PSE 7 on disc. The laptop it was loaded on died. My new laptop doesn't have an optical drive so I downloaded PSE 7 from the Adobe site. It downloaded fine but I cannot start using it until I enter a S/N. The S/N on the disc box doesn't work.

Those links weren't particularly helpful to me. They convinced me to install the drivers for my USB 2.0 card, but that didn't make a difference. Still no OS X without a PRAM reset if I've dared to venture into OS 9.
It's always been my understanding that an unblessed System Folder will not be selectable in OS 9's Startup Disk control panel. My folders are blessed and healthy. Of course I'm running 9.2.2, as stated in my first message. I also frequently verify and repair my disks and permissions.
I did a verbose startup of OS X, and noticed something funny about "ATY...too old." Perhaps this problem is related? I ventured into my system.log file and there it was, repeated over and over, everytime I've booted this computer:

Anyone know how to interpret that? Is it related to my problem? I googled it, and all I found was a web board of people arguing over whether the Apple installed stock ATI Rage video card that came in the G3's is appropriate for Panther. The Ye's have it as far as I'm concerned...as long as I leave OS 9 alone, my video is fine on this computer!

Tab font problem (not a web-site problem)

In the main design page, all the tabs with text on
them (such as Common, Layout, Text, Tables, etc) are so small, they
are only represented by a few pixels. You literally cannot read
them at all. I am a true Noob with Dreamweaver, so I really need to
be able to read these tabs. Even the text at the bottom left
portion of the screen is too small (the workspace tabs and the
<xxxx> items)... I can't make them out at all.
Help please?
p.s. this is not about a web design... this is referring to
the actual program itself.

Is this a new install and it's been like that since starting?

Are the main menus okay? Only the words in the Insert Bar are
off?
If you change to a different User on that machine, same
problem?
Uninstall and reinstall. May want to get and run the CS3 or
CS4 Cleaner app
from the adobe site to fully uninstall.

How can I get "library components" for Encore? download from Adobe site is corrupted/missing files. I have tried 3 times to d/l and each time problems. HELP please!
I just want the DVD templates and buttons that would come with actual purchase of Encore. Having creative cloud subscription should not limit this for me, right?

You will need to uninstall, run the Cleaner tool and reinstall you adobe applications. Adobe apps don't take kindly to inplace updates of the OS on Macs.

Unable to Download Reader - Web Site Problem

I cannot download Reader due to a serious Adobe Web Site problem.
When I go to -
http://www.adobe.com/uk/
and select "download reader" - I get sent to
http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/
I then click on "install now" - and I get sent to
http://www.adobe.com/uk/
AND SO IT GOES ON AND ON IN CIRCLES.
I require the circle breaking so I can download a copy of the Reader software.

I have run Regedit and found two instances of z:rc204D Content\iPad Media\Pictures in keys My Pictures
These were in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\Shell Folders
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Redirecting these to the default MY PICTURES on the c: drive has allowed the installer to run and almost complete the process to the point of installing the files and putting an icon on the desktop.
It now whinges with Error 1923. Service Acrobat Update Service (AdobeARMService) could not be installed. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to install system services.
I am the only user of the computer and DO have full privileges. I get the same response when I run the installer program as An Administrator.
What else does it require to allow it to install properly?
