Unable to reach Adobe servers, Please check firewall settings and try again

I have been a creative cloud customer since it started and I've never experienced such buggy software as the app manager. The customer experience is just shocking and I wish Adobe would just offer direct downloads for the software we need rather than use the app manager.
I'm currently trying to install the latest versions of the programs but the app manager keeps showing "Unable to reach Adobe servers, Please check firewall settings and try again in a few minutes".
I do not have any firewalls on my network.
I've uninstalled all previous versions of the applications.
The app manager will download a few % and then the message appears again. I click retry and it downloads another few % before showing the message again. I keep doing this until the program is fully downloaded and installed which take hours. Because I am able to eventually download the app, the error should be anything to do with my setup or internet connection as I've never had this issue before when installing adobe products.
Is there a way we can bypass the app manager and install the programs directly? This is getting very annoying and I just need my apps to install without wasting days clicking the retry button.

I'm having the exact same problem. Photoshop is stuck at 0%.
Have the links for direct download changed? When I went to http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.htmland then scrolled down the page to:

Common requirement_SSMA Runtime emulation components were not found on SQL Server, please check if Extension Pack is installed correctly

After the installation of the extension pack (local sql server and installed local) i get this warning:

and
Common requirement SSMA Synchronization components were not found on SQL Server, please check if Extension Pack is installed correctly.
In the Program and Features Control panel the Feature "SSMA Extensionpack" (or similar) is installed and i see it in the startmenu.
what's wrong here, any hints?

Based on your description ,we need to verify that the type and version of SSMA Extension Pack. Assume that you install SSMA for Oracle Extension Pack, I recommend you check the following things.
1. Make sure that the setup file of SSMA for Oracle Extension Pack is not corrupted. You can download it from
Microsoft Download Center.
2. Make sure that your computer meets the following requirements for the SSMA for Oracle Extension Pack.
    •SQL Server 2005 or higher.
    •Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 or a later version.
    •Oracle Client 9.0 or a later version, and connectivity to the Oracle databases that you want to migrate.
    •The SQL Server Browser service must be running during installation.
3. Make sure that the account used to install the extension pack, is a member of the sysadmin server role on the instance of SQL Server.

As far as I know, there are no Adobe staff permanently asigned to any of these user to user forums, so receiving an answer from staff depends on one of them coming innhere voluntarily in his/her own time.

Incorrect Apple ID in App Store / How to do a fresh Lion install

I'm trying to redownload the OSX Lion Install App. I held the Option key when clicking purchases and instead of saying "Installed", it now says "Download". However, even though I'm signed into the App Store with my personal Apple ID, it asks me to authenticate but defaults to another apple ID of a person I don't know.

In reality, I'm simply trying to wipe the hard drive clean as I sold this macbook air on ebay and want to deliver it as a fresh install. But when I use the reocovery partition to reinstall Lion, it forces me to connect to the internet and automatically imports all of my user data, which defeats the point!
Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

I have an old .mac iTunes account, it cannot be deleted, I use my new mobileme/iCloud account.
Both passwords are the same so it's easy to switch if any older Apps etc.. need updating..

How do I backup preinstalled iLife '11 for fresh Lion install?

My Late-2011 MBP came with iLife '11 pre-installed. I want to do a fresh install of Lion. I've since purchased Pages from the App Store and the App Store now says it's "Installed", so I'm assuming I don't have to do anything because when I do a fresh OS install, I can just re-download it for free from the new "Cloud".
However, even though iLife is installed, all the apps are still for sale for $15 in the App Store instead of "Installed". I don't understand why Apple didn't make iLife recognized as a purchased app when they gave it preinstalled. How do I back this up?
Also, on a similiar note, when there are updates to the iLife apps, would the updates be recognized in the Updates section of the App Store?

When is updates for ilife you get them by software update no in the app store like iwork,it doesn't recognize because ones are from cd and others a download so no all the files are the same i suposse.ANyway you can get ilife after a free install inserting the bundle app cd that come with your computer and choose install ilife,ilife apps are in the second cd that come with your mac.
But the easiest way to install Lion isn't a fresh install so may you can do the fresh or clean install with the SL cd that come with your mac then install ilife an ddo all the software updates and then get Lion from the app store and do software update again get iwork 09 and done..

Adobe makes it damn difficult to contact them... so I have to go this route. Some chanegs were implemented in the forums and now I have to verify my email in order to login... pretty lame, but whatever. The problem is the email address I used is no longer in existence, so I have no way to verify. What I need is someone from Adobe to change the email address associated to my account...

Anyway, no worries. I’ll just go ahead and make a new account and start over with points. Had to do it before cause of stuff like this, sure I’ll need to do it again too. ☺

Late 2011 MacBook Pro stuck at spinning wheel of death after a Thunderbolt issue, HD erasing and fresh Lion install from Recovery HD. Please help me!!!

So, I think the title says it all, but to give you a little more info:
I connected my late 2011 MacBook Pro to my TV using a Thunderbolt HDMI adapter, and closed the lid. When I opened it, it wouldn't show the login screen, so I restarted using power button. Got stuck at the Apple logo with the spinning wheel. So I booted the Recovery HD and found out it was a HD problem, so I (reluctantly) erased the HD and installed Lion from scratch. When it rebooted (after DOWNLOADING the Lion components) I got some terminal commands (sorry for not being more specific, still a noob when it comes to Mac) and then the screen faded and a message appeared saying I needed to reboot the computer. So I did. 3 effing times. Then I got stuck AGAIN at the spinning wheel, and I'm currently with that on my screen. I'm trying the forums before calling Apple (my computer's still within the 90 days of warranty) because it's not yet 9 A.M. where I live

can you go back to recovery mode then open disk utility.
in disk utility, higlight the disk, the one saying the brand and size then click on repair disk under first aid tab
if it repairs fine, that's okay
if repair was not successful, go to partition and change current to 1 partition then apply
install lion again

Adobe Flash CS4 crashes after OS X Lion install

Hi everyone,
Yesterday I installed OS X Lion on my iMac, and now my eyedropper tool in Flash is not working, and it is force quitting about every ten minutes. This is NOT good at all for me, as I am in the middle of an advanced Flash class at my college. Is anyone else experiencing this? Can someone please instruct me on how to fix this or point me in the direction of any patches that I am unaware of? Thank you!

1. Is this issue specific to some files you are working on ?
2. Is Flash crashing while saving file ?
3. Flash Version . You check that from Help > About Flash

Constant BSOD after fresh Lion Install

I have installed Lion from Apple recently and now I get a costant stream of Black Screen of Deaths.
It happens when I scroll usually (mouse or touchpad)... but has happened during other times...
I am now running gfxCardStatus to lock it into Integrated Only mode to try and get some work done.
Please help us fix this Apple.   We paid A LOT for these MacBook Pros and I do not want to tell people that buying one was a mistake.
I already have clients wondering why I am having problems with my Apple notebook.
Hoping for a fix soon!
