Adobe STD 8.0

I'm tryign to put together and tuned install. I downloaded the ACRO8_Win_WEB_WWEFG.exe install file. I an the /a swicth and built and admin point. I'm looking for the *.ITW file to tune. It does not look to be there. Is there a different install file available for download that will give me what I'm looking for?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion you might be able to provide.

.itw files are no longer included. They won't be needed by the Adobe Customization Wizard when it's released.

  • Adobe Std XI installed but prompted for dutch lincense key

    hi all,
I have an English Win7 OS with my regional settings in Dutch
When I install Adobe Std XI English version and I want to convert a Word (office 2010 - English version) file to pdf I get prompted for the Dutch license key in Adobe.
Stange enough when I open my Adobe std XI it is in English and registered.  The prompt is in Dutch..
I think I am missing something,..
When setting regional settings to Australia f.e. it works fine.. But I need the regional settings for number formatting in Excel f.e.
    Thx Tessa

To the best of my knowledge, the license key has nothing to do with the language version. The language is selected based on either the default on your system or by the optional settings (Adobe was not real clear in denoting the "custom" install as most folks think of it and gave it some other name, like optional (OK, I forgot the name).

  • Adobe Acrobat 8.3.1.289 error when closing program

    Win XP SP3
    Office 2007 SP3
    Adobe Reader 8.0
    Adobe Std 8.3.1.289
User goes and opens a pdf and then when they go to close it they are receiving error msgs.
They normally work with multiple pdf's at a time - so when they open more then one - it is the last one that receives the error message.
I signed onto the pc, under my login, and I was able to open and close a couple pdf's without any errors.

    Hi,
This forum is not for Acrobat product.
Plaese post your question again in http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat if you haven't.
    Thanks,

  • Adobe Std9 Sig Stamp Sizing Question

After scanning my signature into a pdf file, I created a stamp for it in Adobe Std 9.  In the process of creating the stamp, I de-selected the box "Down sample stamp to reduce file size" (as per Adobe documentation).  But when I go to apply the stamp, it is too big and I ALWAYS have to resize it.  Is there a way to get around having to reduce its size every time I apply it?

George -- That worked well, except one very strange thing ...  after saving the cropped signature, when I select it in the custom stamp, it displays in a vertical position, even though I never rotated it after saving it.  If I re-open the file after the save, it still appears in a horizontal position.
One problem leads me to another!  (scratching my head)

  • 'Save Scanned File As' dialog box causing problems

A lot of our users just upgraded to Adobe Std 8 from Adobe Std 7. With Adobe Std 8, the 'Save Scanned File As' dialog box comes up even before the document gets scanned (this was not the case with Adobe Std 7). How do you get rid of the dialog box? This is causing us a lot of problems because our Adobe is integrated with a document management program called DM5. With Adobe Standard 8 our users cannot save directly to DM5.Because the
#Save Scanned File As# dialog box comes up first, now they have to tell Adobe to save it first somewhere other than DM, after the document
gets scanned they save the document again to DM then they go back and delete the document that they saved in the other location. Is there a registry setting or anything that I can set to get rid of the 'Save Scanned File As' box. If you hit CANCEL, the document does not get scanned so users really do not have a choice but to save the document twice. As I said earlier, this was not the case with Adobe Std 7.

Is there a registry setting or anything that I can set to get rid of the 'Save Scanned File As' box.
    No.

  • From PDF to Word DOC

When I attempt to convert a multiple page MS Word 2003 doc (25 pgs) to PDF using Adobe Std 9, it works. When I attempt to take that same PDF and convert it back to WORD using the feature within Adobe Acrobat 9 Std FILE - EXPORT - WORD DOCUMENT, Adobe will take the 25 pages and convert it to 2 pgs. Is there a setting turned on that I'm missing?

The fact that it is a new WORD doc is not the point. It is the process you used to create the PDF. I suspect from your post that you used the print to the Adobe PDF printer option. That option includes no tags or bookmarks. The tags are needed to reverse the process, though that may still not be perfect. The 25 pp to 2 pp is a bit drastic, but without knowing the content of the WORD file and the method of creating the PDF, I am only guess at possibilities.

  • Link problem between PCs and Macs

Hello.  We have 3 Macs running OSX 10.5.x and Adobe Std CS5, and they share their Illustrator creations, images, etc., on a NAS file server.  Recently, I downloaded the CS5.5. trial version for a PC running Windows XP Pro and on the same network with same file access and security.  All machines use CIFS to access files.
PC user will create an Illustrator file in one of these shared folders on the NAS and link in images from another shared folder on the NAS and save it.  When a Mac user opens the Illustrator file, however, none of the links are valid so the Mac user has to re-link those images and re-save the file.  What change(s) do I need to make on the PC-side to stop this problem?  Does the PC need to be on CS5, too?

Thanks to both of you for your help.  We found out that the PC and Mac show the absolute path slightly differently when connecting to our NAS. However, if we create an ai file with linked images on the PC, save it, and then open it in the Mac, even though the links are off we can fix all of them if we simply re-link one image and then "Ignore" the rest of the pop-up error messages.  There are less (or no) link issues if the images are in the same folder as the ai file, but that kind of defeats the advantage of linking over embedding.  We need to have one central images folder since the same image can be used many times over.  Is there any way to force Illustrator to use relative paths instead of absolut paths?  For example,  if I have a share name "Sales" and three folder within:  "Images", "ABC company" and "DEF company", can the ai files I create in ABC company contain links like, "..\Images\image01.eps" instead of something like \\NAS2\Sales\Images\image01.eps?   Would be nice if Adobe Illustrator had a preference setting of something like "Default location of ai files" where I can set it to, \\NAS2\Sales\, and then any documents I create would use that setting as a link starting point.

  • Problem scrolling fonts in Illustrator CS4

Hi- I've had issues from day 1 using AI CS4.  When I am deciding on a font style, I highlight the text, then click on the font type and scroll through the fonts.  Then I will encounter 2 problems:
    1. Some fonts won't let me continue to scroll.  It stops at that specific font.  I have to manually go back to the font drop down list and change the type.  OR
    2.  When I am scrolling, it automatically takes me to the end of the font list w/ some weird fonts like Adobe 楷体 Std R.
Any idea how I can fix this?

You have a bad font somewhere inbetween that messes up the font handling. Remove any suspicious fonts you recently added and do not permanently need (e.g. free fonts that may technically suffer some issues like open contours etc.) and delete your AdbeFnt.list files so they get rebuilt next time you start an Adobe app.

  • Poor quality export and zoom

    Hi
I downloaded trial of 4.1 and 4.2 of LR and wanted to make my photos is this software over DPP, but...
I was working few days until did some compare of export files. It's terrible.
I'm not speaking about wrong colors or so. I have all profiled and I'm useing icc also monitor icc capable viewers,
but any way - loaded to LR look same.
It's also no problem with jpg quality settings, I use 76, but there is no better with 100%.
    Exported with sRGB.
Jpeg quality is bad if more dark colors in one. If I take exposure down, then it looks like jpg saved with 1 quality.
This same quality I get when zoom 1:1, on normal screen is OK.
Is this trial problem? If so, no problem, but if I buy and get this same, then I can be ungry.
    No such problem with DPP.
    Any ideas?
    thx
EDIT - i send files to friend with full version, it's this same! More... It's this same even when exported to Tiff uncompressed.
I followed more and found that problem is much less visible with Adobe Std profile instead of camera profiles (neutral, portrait etc..). Screenshots are saved via paint and here rescaled, but You exactly can see what I mean. In reality DPP You can't pixels as here, so also in LR little less, also on screenshots from export colors are a little bit off, but in real they are similar.
    I can't get it...
    Normal view:
    LR 1:1
    LR export q76:
    DPP view:
    DPP zoom 1:1
    DPP export q7:

    What camera is that?

  • Digital Signature and Time Stamp Settings

Would someone please tell me the location in which the Digital Signature and Time Stamp Settings from Adobe STD 10 are saved?

They are saved in the registry on Windows and in the plist on Mac. In Windows you would go into HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\10.0\Security\ and look around there. On the Mac it in /Users/<user name>/Library/Preferences and then look for com.adobe.Acrobat.plist

  • Acrobate professional and the 7.0.7 patch

I have set up the Acrobat Professional 7.0.0 upgrade install VIA the Install Tuner. We have managed to patch the Admin install to 7.0.5. When we try to run the 7.0.7 patch against the Admin install it starts and stops right away like something is wrong with the AcrobatUpd707_all_incr.exe patch file. Can anyone tell me if we are doing something wrong or is there in-fact something wrong with the 707 patch? We were successful in patching to 7.0.5 so we are following the same steps that worked with the 7.0.7 patch without any luck.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion you might be able to offer.
    Ed Puariea

    Thanks for the file.
We were able to run the patch against the admin install and it worked thanks. Were kind of bummed now for two reason's. You know we have the Adobe Pro Upgrade install right? Well we can set up an admin install for the Adobe Pro Upgrade 7.0.0 and we can use that to install Adobe Pro without having our lic version of Adobe Std on the box. We can also patch that to 7.0.5 and it also does not need to have Adobe Std on the box. Kind of nice. Then after we up the admin install to 7.0.7 it is asking for Adobe Std to be installed. They must have fixed that in the 7.0.7 patch. No biggy I guess, we will have to live with that. But the second problem is we get an error when the Adobe Pro 7.0.7 tried to upgrade our Adobe Std 7.0.7 install. The error is "Internal Error 2602. File,Update_2.kfp" Do you know anything about the error? I have not had a chance to look into it as of yet.
Thanks for all your help Sir.

  • Q:  how to load a camera profile???

    hi:
    1. i downloaded the various camera profiles (via adobe labs) and installed them.
    2. question: when i open up an image in ACR (4.6), i can't figure out how in the world to access those camera profiles. any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks. harry shin

No it is not a jpeg - the Ricoh GX200 records adobe dng raw files, this is definitely a true raw file, and the there is an adobe std profile for the camera, see below:
In fact after playing around I found a work round:
    1. I downloaded and opened the camera profile editor
    2. Opened a dng file created by the camera ( It shows the base profile as Embedded (GX200) )
    3. In the Base Profile select Choose external profile and select the Adobe Standard profile for the camera (this profile was installed by the camera profiles download)
    4. Without making any changes to the profile, file -> export profile
    5. Restart bridge, open a gx200 dng file in acr and the exported profile is now listed in the profiles dropdown dogether with embedded (the original adobe standard profile is still not listed).
I notice that export puts the profile by default in my specific user profile rather than all users (it could be that this is why it now shows up - I have yet to try moving it to all users profile).
(BTW I am using Bridge CS3 and ACR 4.6)
    Hope this helps someone,
    Steve

  • DNG-PE Dual-Illuminant Profile question

Just want to clarify the correct procedure in building a Dual-Illuminant camera profile.
So I have shot a colorchecker under 6500k and 2850k (hopelessly gloomy here in Hong Kong now, best I could get is around 5500k)... anyway, i open both shots in PE, and then run the chart wizard.
    Questions:
    1) Does it matter which base profile I choose when I run the Chart wizard?
    2) Once I run the chart wizard once, the Base Profile changes to 'Color Checker'. If I were to proceed to run the other colorchecker, do I need to change the base profile back to the original base profile (e.g. Adobe Std)
    Thanks! ws

"2. For your case, where you're shooting in a very specific lighting condition (your studio flash in your studio environment) you are better off creating a single profile dedicated to that condition, i.e., follow Tutorial 5 in the PE documentation, where you should select 'Both Color Tables' from the popup in the Chart tab. "
So with a specific and more or less constant lighting, like in studio environment, I shoot one chart in the studio environment and I make only one single profile with the "both color tables".
I'm sorry if I make you feel like you're repeating what you just said, but as you can see I'm having quite a hard time understanding.
But in this case, when does it worth to do 2 different profiles ? When the light is under 3000° K or upper 6000 ° K ?

  • Do DNG HueSatDeltas correspond to DNG profile editor points?

I understand that the HueSatDeltas table in a DNG profile has 90 hue divisions & 25 saturation divisions (2250 total, excluding the value positions)... and these in turn record the hue shifts and saturation scales from these points.
Does anyone know if the dropper points on the color wheel in the DNG profile editor correspond directly to these 90 x 25 positions... Or are they simply arbitrary positions in the editor from which the resultant surrounding hue shifts and saturation scales of the adjacent points in the 2250 DNG profile positions are interpolated/calculated?
I had hoped that I could find the values corresponding with the 24 patches on a color checker and determine the hue shift/saturation scale recorded from these by reading the DNG profile... Or will that simply not work?
    Thanks!

I am also uncomfortable with the 1.0.0.46 release with a D800.
Using Lightroom 4.2 I looked at the color checker chart that I used to generate my profiles using the DNG Profile editor. The blue change with this release was very significant.
Hovering over the blue panel of the chart after changing just the camera profile I got the following general readings:
    Adobe Std.         R0    G22 B60
    Beta 3                   R4    G18 B59.5
    Beta .46                R17 G22 B59
Without an explanation, such a deviation from Adobe Standard is disconcerting as my base profile in the DNG Profile editor, both releases, was color checker.

  • Printing by others

I have adobe std 9--when I send someone( with just a reader) a pdf I made changes to by adding arrows or clouds or text notes--they can view them but not print them.
    I don't have this trouble
Are both parties required to have acrobat??

No but in the print dialog they need to choose "document and markups"
It assumes you don't want to print all the extra stuff unless you tell it to.
