Adobe Story - All scripts missing

I have been working on multiple scripts for quite some time, saving frequently. Today, Adobe story updated and now ALL my scripts are missing. The only script that is still there is the sample script, which I deleted long ago. It's like it reset to default settings.
I have made sure I was logged into the correct account, and tried logging in on the desktop and online versions. Anyone else have this problem or a solution??

Just spent the last three days on the phone to Adobe support about the exact same issue only to be told at the end of a 40 minute conversation (most of which was on hold) that it's not supported over the phone. Great, thanks. Couldn't you have told me that three days ago before wasting my phone bill and time? So I guess we are all going to make the same 2 minute movie about a wizard then...
Sometimes my scripts appear when I am offline and not logged into to the Adobe account, if I try and go online it asks me to log out and log into the Adobe account and bammo, all scripts gone with good ole Paladin staring me in the face.
Please help me sort this out, please, please, please!!!

Adobe story- Film Script only has one template. why?

Default Film script should still be the same. So first verify this by creating a new Film script with the default Film script template. (it should be in default formatting)
Now to change the template of the affected document, open Edit > Template option.
In the 'Select Template' dropdown, select 'Film Template' and click on OK.
If you still face this issue, you can 'Import' a template from your disk.
    - download the default template that is attached in this post. ( Template file is inside the '.zip' attachment. So you need to unzip the downloaded file first)
    - open the template dialog and click on Import button and select the downloaded file.

  • Adobe Story Plus Scripts Gone

    Hey there,
I have Adobe Story Plus on my desktop and I've written 2 scripts while in offline mode. So I went to go "online" when Adobe Story told me I had to sign out then back in first, so I did. However, when I went online the projects were gone, and I don't know how to get them back. Any help would be appreciated,
    Thanks

    Hi,
Can you send us the following to DL-AdobeStory-Support<at>adobe<dot>com and also please tell us the names of the scripts that have gone missing. We can try to dig up the script from your local data.
    On OSX - 10.7 (lion)
Follow the steps listed on this page (http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/22/access-user-library-folder-in-os-x-lion/) to reach to library folder
From there go to 'Preferences/com.adobe.AdobeStory.***a long number***.1' folder zip it and send it to us.
    On previous version of OSX
Zip this folder /Users/username/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.AdobeStory.***a long number***.1, and send it to us.
    On windows
    Go to run prompt:
Press windows + r to get this prompt
Type %appdata% on the prompt and press enter
This should open the appdata folder
Find the folder named com.adobe.AdobeStory.***a long number***.1 zip it and send it to me
    Thanks

  • Skip Lines (Enter Key) in Adobe Story AV Scripts

    Hello,
I'm working with Adobe Story online (not desktop application). I just began an AV script. My project requires that the visual aspects only come in every once in a while, and I need them to match up with the text they coincide with. I don't know how to do this because neither column allows me to "skip lines" using the enter/return key. After writing one line, I am able to hit enter and go down to the second line, but I can's skip any more lines. I need to be able to skip multiple lines on both sides since this is starting out as more of an outline and will grow into a full script with significantly more text than video/visual information.

The tab button will get me what I want on the Audio side of the script. However, on the visual side, when I hit tab, it takes me back over the the audio side. Please help!

Is OnLocation available with CC service? I want to use it with Adobe Story.
I have never had a copy of OnLocation, but it looks to be a great way to manage Adobe Story and the workflow for shoots.
Is there something else that is exports to that works similar to OnLocation?
    help

I see that I can view Adobe Story in two locations of Premiere Pro. As a window and under File, Adobe Story (which is usually grayed out).
I have exported the script as an .astx, Opened PP and clicked file, Adobe Story, Attach Script File ; then I am not sure what to do to see it.
I clicked on Metadata but there is nothing there.
The Window, Adobe Story shows dialog and scene no. and est duration. Is that all I should see? Why the Attach Script File option? And what about seeing the schedule?

  • Lost script after re-downloading Adobe Story

Hello, I am trying to find out where one of my scripts has gone, I had invested a lot of time into the script. My laptop was having problems so I recovered it, & re-downloaded Adobe Story. When Adobe Story opened, I noticed I only have one script there, one missing, & the work I had done on the script that is still there is gone. If anyone could give me some useful feedback - if I can recover it, or even if I can't - I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. ~

    Hi,
I am really sorry that you lost your changes.
Basically when you choose to work offline all the data is saved on your PC. Adobe story servers do not come in to picture unless you specifically tell the adobe story air application to go online. This is what happened in your case. You made changes in offline mode and did not went online and then formatted the system. There is no way possible that data could have reached adobe story servers.
In future to avoid this kind of problem :
    1)    Try going online once in a while so that all data is syned to the server. So you will have sciprt data till some state on the servers.
                2)  Take backup of your script’s data before formatting your machine or just go to story online mode.
    thanks

  • Signed up for Adobe Story Free and now my Script is gone?

I signed up for Adobe Story Free, gave a script a title and wrote a few pages to try it out.  Just went back in to play with it a little more and everything is gone.  The samples of work that were on the template and my work are all missing.  Was this a Beta testing page?  Even when I go to the deleted items, it says failed to establish connection.
    Any ideas/news/answers?

  • Adobe Story Script integration with Premiere Pro Doesnt allow me to embed the script

Goal:  Embed an Adobe Story Script into Premiere Pro. (mac)
Method:  I have a video with a verbatim transcript.
I inport the transcript into Adobe Story and save it in the proper Adobe Story File extension (.astx)
I save it to the Adobe cloud and I have also exported it to my desktop.
I launch Premiere Pro and import the video that I have transcribed.
The I try one of 3 ways to get the script to the video in PP.
The first steps are the same as below:
I go to Adobe Story and log in from within PP.
    I locate the file.
    I add a Scene.
I make sure the scene is the same as it is within PP
    then...
    1.
I drag and drop it onto the Movie file.
Nothing appears within the Embed Adobe Story Script Meta Data field.
    2.
I click on Analyze and the Embed Adobe Story Script script checkbox remains greyed out (Unable to select it)
If I click Analyze then PP will analyze the script (does a decent job) but this is NOT what I want.  I want to attach the verbatim script to the video which is why I have it transcribed.
    3.
Right click on the movie file within PP and the contextual menu allows me to attach a script.
I locate my downloaded .astx file on my Mac and select it.
Still nothing appears within the Embed Adobe Story Metadata field.
I have worked with Anand from support who suggested I post this question here.
I dont know if there are only certain Adobe templates for which this will work (ie TV script, Film etc)
He suggested that this would most likely work only for the .mov file formats, but then discovered that it should work even for .mp4 files.
In any case - if anyone has any thoughts, ideas, or has experience with this It would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers Patrick

    Hi Patrick,
This forum is for BridgeScripting and I'm not sure from the information you give that this is the correct forum for you.
That being said let me offer the following.
Make sure you have downloaded and installed all of the current updates. In Bridge click Help > Updates then download and install any available updates.
Can you recall any changes that were done between the last good run and the now missing menu condition? Things like creating your own or modifying one of the existing Adobe Java Scripts.
It would also be helpful to know if "Script Manager" is present under the Bridge menu (it will be the item right above Preferences).
If this is not present then one of the startup scripts has encountered a problem and is blocking other scripts from loading.
    Cheers,
    O'Neal

    Hi!
I'm getting crazy  on this. I'm following the worflow suggested in the video (create a script in Story  with the clip transfer, import the clip to Premier, dragging the script to the clip). The clip has the scene number corresponding to the script.
Unfortunately, nothing happens. The "attached script" is empty. And if I do the spech analysis it takes a lot of time (about three times as the original video, although I'm trying to suply a literal transcript).
BTW, what I'm trying to do is to edit the videos from the scripts. I'm working on a documentary, with a lot of footage (30 x 2hs interviews). If I can create the script combining pieces of the inverviews in Story, and then importing it into Premiere. Anybody done something similar?

  • Adobe Story Script Suddenly lost the update?

    Hello,
I've been working on a script in Adobe Story (in my browser) for a few days and I went back to work on it today after working on it last night, and it went from 16 pages, to 6. Someone PLEASE help me!
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Did you check in Story desktop version when it showed 6 pages? Story Desktop syncs with the online app (in which you were working) when you go 'online' so its possible that Story desktop has an older version of your script.
Also, can you please check the script's history in your browser version (if you are seeing the issue there) and see the versions to check for your data.
    thanks
    Sandeep
