Adobe Story won't start

Hi, I'm a new subscriber and am kinda alarmed by the first non-Photshop thing I try to use, doesn't seem to work.
I'm trying to connect to Adobe Story, and when I log in and connect, the screen goes gray, there's the little "Adobe Story" dialog with a moving meter between-- and nothing else ever happens.
This is Chrome on a Mac (10.8.3).
Now, toggling on Developer Tools on Chrome and letting it run through has the last action as:
https://story.adobe.com/profile.php?locale=en_US&code=<big string>
showing up with a cancelled status (Though I did not actually cancel anything), after 3 redirects giving a 302 Moved Temporarily.

Hi,
Sorry for the inconvenience. Can you please try another browser (safari or firefox) and see if it works. Clearing cache on Chrome should also fix it (http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache). Let us know if you still face an issue.
thanks
Sandeep

  • Adobe Reader won't start automatically

I've downloaded Adobe Reader to my Windows8 system,, but when I try to open a pdf file fom on-line it asks me which App I want to use, but Reader isn't listed as a choice.  When I clik look for other Apps on computer, I can't find Reader anywhere (not in programs, documents, etc).  It will not start automatically.  The only way I can't make it work is by Saving the pdf file, then going to my graphic start page and cliking the Adobe reader icon which has been there (and only there) since it was downloaded.  It's really time consuming and I have a lot of psf files I have to go back and delte from my downloads

the App version self-loaded and it worked initially whenever I tried to open a pdf file, but this is a new touchscreen Acer and I'm used to having actual programs, not Apps and I don't quite understand it yet...Of course like everything else with Windows 8, most thing don't work the way they used to  after you do any updates.   I'd love to go back to Windows 7, or even XP.  I got this for Christmas and so far (according to it's own software program), it's shut down a total of 418 times, the majority of causes had to do with Explorer.

  • Adobe Story won't open after update

    Hi,
I updated Adobe Story this morning, and now it won't open online or offline. I've cleared my browser's cache, restarted my PC, but nothing seems to work. This is a major problem because I have deadlines for this afternoon, and now I can't access my work.
    Please help!
    Francois

    Hi,
When you launch the application, do you see the login page, or is it a blank gray page?
If you were working online in your last session, you can access your account and all your documents from the browser application. https://story.adobe.com/
Launch any browser(Firefox/IE/Chrome/Safari) and log into your account.
We are investigating the issue and will let you know the update soon.

  • CS2- Adobe Updater won't start

I have Photoshop CS2 and have recently started to use it after a long hiatus.  When I start it, I get a message that Adobe Updater would not start, and something (the updater?) should be reinstalled.  CS2 seems to be working perfectly.  What should I do, besides ignoring that message?
Also, can someone tell me what the latest version of the Adobe Raw Converter is which is compatible with CS2?

I'll be happy to answer your questions in the Camera Raw forum or the DNG forum, respectively.
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/cameraraw
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/dng#
For the list of which camera models are supported in each version of the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in, see:

    bobgoldstein wrote:
My raw files come from an Olympus E-510 camera, and are you
suggesting that they might NOT be compatible with ACR 3.7?
Correct, they are NOT.  You would need at least ACR 4.1, which does NOT run in CS2.
    bobgoldstein wrote:
    And that
converting them to DNG would allow further processing in CS2?
Correct again.  Use the DNG Converter 5.3.  It is a stand-alone application and you should always use the latest version.

  • Adobe Story won't activate

Whenever I try to "Start using Story" from https://story.adobe.com/en-us/index.html, it says "Our servers are currently offline for scheduled maintenance", and it won't do anything.
It has been like this for weeks, and I don't see any maintenance announcement anywhere.
Is it really maintenance, or am I missing something?
    Thank you.

I am a home user that uses FTTH with a wireless router.
I first tried it from each of my 3 computers through the router with its firewall turned off, then directly connected one of them without the router, but to no avail. The results were the same.
For testing, I reconnected my computer to the router and turned the firewall back on, and then tried downloading Adobe Premiere Elements 10 trial.
It asked for my Adobe ID, and I entered it. Then the download successfully started and completed.
I could still try another network when I have a chance, but from the above result, plus the fact that I usually don’t have any network problem, I hardly think my home network is the problem.
I wonder why I specifically can’t activate Story. Any idea?

  • Adobe acrobat won't start and icon missing

When I try to start acrobat it opens and then closes. I don't even get a chance to open a file.
I have tried to delete it but it won't. It says its uninstalling but never finishes. (Waited 30min with no change) restarted my Playbook and it still doesn't work.
At some point I lost my adobe acrobat icon, its has a space on my screen with the name but no icon.
Any ideas how to get acrobat working again?
Right now I'm thinking a security wipe is the only way.(And I don't want to do that)
    Thanks
    Solved!

hmmm, sorry I couldn't be of more help. Maybe try settings permissions to denied then try to delete. If that doesn't work then you might have to do a factory reset.. I am in the same boat, my video and games and freezing and am left with little choice but to try a total reset... I will let you know how it goes...

  • Adobe Bridge won't start. Shows message: Adobe Bridge CC has stopped working

Running Windows 8, with 16GB memory, running 64-bit Bridge. When I try to start Bridge it loads, shows main screen, then immediately shows dialog that says Adobe Bridge CC has stopped working. Only options are to debug or close program. I did Ctrl/Click and cleared the three resets and I also tried running it as admin.
So far, I'm one for three with the Creative Suite. Installed PS on the above box, works fine, But can't install PS on my Mac--more than an hour with TS with no joy. And now can't launch CC on Windows.

This problem has been solved by Microsoft, rebuilt Win7. I would like to delete my question to reduce clutter here but I don't know how to delete it. A moderator may delete this if they wish or someone can add to my reply and instruct me. Thanks!

  • Adobe reader won't start

On my virgin system (no malware), win 7 x64 was a good working old adobe reader 9.
Offered an update, I accepted for update XI. And since them won't run any adobe reader.
I tried reinstall, repair, cleaning tool, restart you offered before.
I tried it on a different but similar, virgin machine and received the same error.
Came up a frosty adobe reader window and after 5 sec it disappears. Nothing helps...
I don't want to complaining about your free reader, but... It was not a great job...

    Three things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

  • Adobe Audition won't start C++ runtime error

Hi, I downloaded and used the trial version fine for the full trial time. Decided to purchase this weekend. It's not a cheap piece of software, so I'm hoping for some decent support here.
I managed to run the full unlocked version a few times without problems. I haven't installed anything else since it last ran. I did notice that it seemed slightly sluggish today.... then when I tried starting it later:-
    Bang!
    "Runtime Error" Program C:\Progra...
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applicaton's support team for more information"
I tried a complete uninstall, restart, reinstall... same error. I'm not finding anything relevant in this or other support forms. The error message isn't tellin gme too much either.
    Help please!

OK, I worked it out. I just renamed the whole settings directory here:-
    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\
and it lets me back in... don't what I've lost but at least I'm in phew.
    Thanks for he help... cough.

  • Any Adobe app won't start - clean install

    Hi there,
My name is Andrea. I have a MAC MINI with two partitions. One with OS X 10.9.3 and the second with WIN7. On both I am running Adobe CC app. On MAC partition is working fine. On WIN7 I had an issue. At some point any applications I tried to open were doing a loop asking me to sign in, Saying that it is fine, I am logged in and I can ontinue to use the app then next screen was asking me again to log in.
    1. Today I uninstalled each application. I ran Adobe_Creative_Cloud_Cleaner_Tool selecting to remove ALL.
    2. I restarted WIN partition.
    3. Installed again the Creative Cloud Desktop app.
    4. Installed InDesign, for example.
    5. Then I tried to open InDesign. Same issue. Let me illustrate it for you.
    InDesign installed without errors.
Instalation confirmed. the InDesign is OK and updated.
Confirmation that I am logged in.
[Image with personal Identification removed by moderator]
Launching InDesign. That screen is poping up. Why? Have no clue. Anyway, I hit SIGN IN.
[Image with personal Identification removed by moderator][Sign in Screen]
Then the next screen is poping up. I hit CONTINUE.
[Image with personal Identification removed by moderator]
Well, SURPRISE. Am I in Twilight Zone or what?
[Image with personal Identification removed by moderator]
So, I tried another approach. I selected NOT YOUR ADOBE ID. I filled in the informations and hit SIGN IN, again.
[Image with personal Identification removed by moderator]
Will it work this time? Hmmm.
[Image with personal Identification removed by moderator]
    NOUP. Something is wrong.
[Image with personal Identification removed by moderator]
Kindly help me to solve out the issue. I would not want to install WIn again, but if it is the only solution, let me know.
    Best regards,
    Andrea

NEVER post your login credentials on a public forum....

    Hi there,
Here are the news. No improvement.
I disabled AV. I uninstalled all Adobe app, including Creative Cloud desktop app. I ran Adobe CC Tool Cleaner. It says that everything went OK, without errors.
I deleted the opm.db file as per instructions you pointed it out. By the way, thank you very much for your help on that. I mean it, it is not sarcasm.
I restarted my computer on WIN7 partition. Installed Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. Installed Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Creative Cloud sync'ed the fonts I had used before. That encouraged me to think that will work perfectly. After Acrobat installed I opened it and it worked. So, I decided to install InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Big mistake. After spending good minutes waiting for applications to install, when I opened InDesign, it behaved the same. I tried opening Illustrator and Photoshop. Same behaviour. It is a loop in which I am constantly asked to log in.
I would really appreciate if someone from Adobe can come up with a real solution.
    Best regards,
    Andrea

  • Adobe InDesign Won't Start

Adobe InDesign CC 2014 does not open.  Says a problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify me if a solution is available.  Any thoughts?

Does it work in a different user account on the same machine?
