Adobe TV sucks

It has been terriable experiance with adobe tv. It restarts whenever it wants then from the middle of the training u need to play from start. Its has taken a week to reach 3rd day. Now given up. I thought of using flex as i've been interesting in RIA and want to explore possibilities to implement our orgs intranet using flex. But as i said... given up. If thier products are not working fine at their servers and global site, how can i trust it. Seems like adobe is in hurry to be ahead in compition, and introducing half-baked products and services. I got a nice internet conneection in KL, but thier sites are always sluggish.

I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulty watching videos on Adobe TV.
You might like to try downloading the videos for off-line playback, rather than trying to stream them - to do this, follow the instructions below:
Download Adobe Media Player from here: http://get.adobe.com/amp/
Click the My Favorites menu at the top.
Click Add RSS Feed at the bottom.
For each day of Flex in a Week that you want to view offline, copy and paste the corresponding feed URL into the dialog box:

What's the story with them removing most of the

What I meant is "the Text Box tool" in the Tools menu, when I right click on the test box field all I get is a text style menu option which lets me set the bold, underline and italic; I can edit the text box it's self but not the text.

That explains our confusion. Neither of those are commenting tools.
If by "text box tool" you mean "text field tool", right click on the field and choose "properties>appearance.
Have you tried right-clicking in the toolbar area to find the dimensioning tool?

Adobe support for Elements 12 issues SUCKS!

I looked into the FAQ's and followed the "Sharede Technologies" install errors for the OOBE renaming directions as well as the "run" the AAM and Support Advisor, and CC Cleaner tools, I received the same error, over an over again.
I actually did not use the forum, as I used the support track as recommended if problems continued.
After spending 3 hours with a tech one night, changing/renaming the OOBE, running the AAM, the CC Cleaner tool and reinstalling three times and ending at 2:00am, to no avail, I was then asked to do all of this over again and again, as he obviously did not know what he was doing.
After dto the same thing for the third time, I told him I hadd spent way too much time getting nowhere with him and his continual requesting that I do the same thing over to get the same result (definition of insanity) I told him that we were done and he needed to escalate this. To that he responded with another request to change the OOBE directory in Program Files (86) again and in User directories and use Task Manager to shut down all Adobe services, which I did, for some indiotic reason, and the same result, again, he finally escalated it to the "next level" of ineptitude.
I then received an email to follow another set of lame directions, which on the face looked like it was the same instructions with the addition of running the CC Cleaner tool. Which I did on the 20th od December and sent the results back that there was no change and the same error came back about shared technologies.
I have been working through this since November 5th, reinstalled, or tried to over 14 times now, with their assistance, on my own trying to use the FAQ's and to this day, still no help, nothing that brings me any closer.
When I read the forum I see so many users having issues with Elements 12 and Premiere 12 it seems Adobe created a poor version and it has been a lot of trouble for a lot of people.
THis is simply rediculous for a software company that likes to tout how great they are. I have been a very longtime fan of the Photoshop product but this particulare experience has dampened my confidence in Adobe

I don't want to have to search through a million of you little forum sites. THAT IS ALL A FRONT for you not having to hire people to answer e-mails. I did not sign up for "Send Now" yet I received a confirmation that I did. Now I have to believe that most people who use Adobe also have jobs - and many, like myself don't want to take time during the work day to sit on the phone with Adobe or "Chat" so the ability to leave an e-mail at night is not only a nice customer experience - I can't think of another website that doesn't allow you to do this

This is simply and utterly one of the most inconsiderate of all Adobe takeovers. Did you not think artists that use Adobe products might have accounts already with Behance? You have screwed us. Not only that, there is NO way to talk to anyone about how to fix this. I do NOT see anything in this forum on how to fix, why? Big corporate decisions and more money. You suck Adobe.

Fluid grid layout css error - (adobe support sucks!)

We just bought upgrades for our entire department to dreamweaver cs6 about 2 weeks ago. Today for the first time I've been trying to make use of the new fluid grid layout system. I got some of the page put together and when I then tried to insert a new fluid layout div I got an error message saying "Could not find Dreamweaver Fluid Grid style sheet". I wasn't sure what to make of it so I googled it. I found someone with a similar, not exact, error message and someone suggested they double check their css file to see if it was missing a closing }. I double checked my css files and they were fine. I tried reinstalling dreamweaver in case a file got corrupted. No go. After reopening the file, now my fluid grid pink overlays won't display.
It's as though the stylesheet where the fluid grid styles are defined isn't being recognized, however at the same time, some styles defined in that stylesheet ARE being applied to the page, but not all of them.
I called adobe support, sat on hold forever only to be told that because we purchased a downloaded version of the upgrade, we don't get the 90 days of support but have to pay $39. Are you kidding me adobe? No support without paying after we just paid literally thousands of dollars in upgrades to our cs6 packages?
Another thing that's odd is that if I start a new fluid page and save the files in a new folder, the insert new fluid grid div works fine. I know it sounds like some stylesheet got hosed, but as I said, I have double and triple checked the css file and don't see a problem. Anyone have an idea what might be wrong? thanks.

I found the problem and in fact it was a problem with the stylesheet. However, it wasn't due to any invalid styles. Apparently there are comments near the top of the stylesheet that tell dreamweaver that that's the stylesheet where the fluid grid content is stored.   It would have been helpful if they included additional comments like "DON'T REMOVE THESE COMMENTS OR YOUR'RE SCREWED AND WE WON'T HELP YOU FIGURE OUT WHY!!!". Specifically the section I removed which caused it to break was this...

So far my Adobe experience "SUCKS!!" cant get past instal of free trial??

I keep trying to install a "FREE TRIAL" of Acrobat so I can see if I like it! can't get past screen where it asks for User Name, Organization, ?? I click free trial but NOTHING!!!
So far ADOBE IS A WASTE OF TIME !!

I understand your frustration of not able to get Adobe Acrobat installed on your machine. I would request you to kindly download Acrobat XI Pro trial from the link below:

At the time of installation, you need to select 'Trial' as a option and follow the onscreen instructions.

Adobe 7 is not compatible with Vista, If you are not satisfied with that answer...

Unfortunately for what I do for a living I can't use a mac, cannot WAIT till they do become compatible or I just switch professions!
I have adobe 7Pro because I MUST create PDF documents for my business, however when my laptop crashed for the 3rd time in less than a year and I was NOT about to pay HP $400 to reboot it, instead I had fun and smashed it (like in Office Space) and went out and bought a new Sony Vaio. This laptop is nice and all however now ALL new computers come with Gates newest form of a rip off, VISTA, which had so many issues they release a new update for it every day and professional companies wouldn't touch it, so they FORCED it on us small business owners and personal computer users, such CRAP! (If you notice all large corporations use XP, there is no Vista for large corps, there's a reason for that...
The people that do NOT have the $ to keep upgrading and paying for FIX ITS online from some unknown who has figured a work around are forced to use this crap!!! I'm BEYOND anoyed... ANYWHO I am installing my adobe 7pro and every time I open it I get asked to "ACTIVATE AGAIN" so I call in to get a NEW Activation code and a minute later it does it AGAIN... SOOO, I get Tech support and the IDIOT in India literally READS to me the following statements:
"Adobe 7 is not compatible with Vista"
I tell him, that's a lie because my friend uses it on vista.
He proceeds to READ to me "If you are not satisfied with that answer, then acrobat no longer supports Adobe 7". WTF?!?!? If I am not SATISFIED with that answer!??! aparantly he was NOT supposed to read THAT part!!! Laughing I proceed to tell him to piss off and hang up on him because I am SOOO tired of all these damn AMERICAN companies outsourcing their customer service to some 3rd world country where they pay these people $5 a week and have them just read from a ******* script for your problems, that is NOT technical support, that's BULL CRAP! I know 4 yr olds that read english better!!!
I am sick and tired of it... I might just take advantage of the 14 day return policy and go to Apple and buy a mac next week and change my profession sooner than I had planned JUST TO AVOID USING THIS CRAP!!! ADOBE YOU SUCK!!! Microsoft SUCKS!!!
If you run into this problem do what I am doing, go to Apple and buy a mac, we need to stand up against all this and pay attention to the COMMERCIALS that are VERY TRUE and drop Microsoft, IBM, anything Gates related and stop using their products!!!

Cannot uninstall Adobe Acrobat 8 on Window 7 64-bit

I've been running the CS3 suite on windows 7 64-bit for years with no problems. Suddenly, most CS3 applications won't open, and if they do, they lock up. So, I figure no problem, I'll uninstall and then re-install. Wronk!
(1) I could not deactivate the license
(2) Acrobat will not uninstall
(3) I tried to uninstall with no success
(4) I'm basically stuck with and old suite of expensive applications that do not work
(5) Adobe's support is worthless and/or nonexistent
(6) Did I mention that Adobe support sucks!!!
Any help appreciated.

We regret for the inconvenience caused to you!!
As i understand you are facing issues with uninstalling Acrobat... I would recommend you to run Acrobat Cleaner tool on your system and let me know if that helps.
Moreover what exactly did you meant by "suddenly, most CS3 applications won't open, and if they do, they lock up" ??

My evaluation and testing of the FlashBuilder 4 beta 2 is stopped because there are so many questions that have not been answered. To be clear:
- I desperately need an alternative to the Micro$oft "vendor lock in" (front end, middleware, backend)
- Adobe is a recognized name in the I.T. world. (My biggest opponents to change are the I.T. guys & gals)
- I need to do some heavy duty "convincing" by SHOWING customers and their trusted I.T. crowd that there is a viable alternative
- I can't show them if your product doesnt' work
- Plan B is to show them that even though your product doesn't work, your support is responsive, and bugs will be fixed next release, and that there is a work around for now
- There is no Plan C if the previous two points aren't resolved
This forum seems really busy compared to Data Services forum. That forum is dead. Very few views and 98% unanswered questions.
Should I re-post all my questions in this forum? In an attempt to get some help?

These forums are user / customer forums. They are not an official Adobe support channel. Did you read the disclaimer on the first page that said "Forums ... are an alternative to Adobe’s official customer support channels"? ( http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa ).
To say that Adobe support sucks because questions were not answered on these forums is the wrong conclusion. Adobe support may suck, but these forums are not an indication of that.
If your questions are Flex related, feel free to repost them to this board, though. I imagine that there are just more people using Flex than their are LiveCycle or BlazeDS.

Adobe Air 2.7 broke in OS 1.0.6.2390

Ok, so, Adobe Air sucks to begin with. It's slowwwww and on the PB it's very unstable. I've been living with, hoping for improvements. But with the release of OS 1.0.6.2390 with Adobe Air 2.7 it REALLY sucks. At least in the previous versino I could get through most Air apps with only a few crashes and bugs. Now it crashes on everything.
On the other hand, the new version of Flash on the PB is great.
QNX + Android = BB10 = The only platform that offers the freedom of choice.

Can you find any more polite, yet accurate, word to describe it than the one you've chosen?

Adobe Illustrator CS3 Rounded Corner Option MIA?

Everywhere I look, I read that there should be a "Round Corners" option under both the "Effect>Stylize" and "Filter>Stylize" dropdown menus. In both cases, the only "Stylize" option I'm given is "Glowing Edges".
I'm attempting to do this with a 3-pointed star (otherwise known as a triangle, but I created it using the star tool). I'm definitely selecting it, etc.
Can anyone shed some light? Thanks!!!

You need the vector plugin by CValley called Xtream Path...

I would not be without it...it's saved me hours of work rounding off corners without distorting the adjoining line segments.

Quality of the adobe support

I had sudden problems opening cs4 programms. he didn't accept my correkt serial numbers anymore. after following the supports advice step by step and deleting some files manually, even all cs5 apps didnt' work anymore.
after that the support told me, that it was no longer responsible and i should got to adobe community and solve adobes probles by my own. is that fair?

We don't know anything about your system or what you actualyl did. As a start, run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and reinstall your programs. The rest is beside the point. Yes, we all know that Adobe support sucks on the best of days, but there realyl is no need to turn this into the ump-teenth discussion about the subject.

Adobe CS4 Update issue

We are getting this error when we try to update adobe cs4 production premium:
The update server is not responding, which means it might be offline at the moment, or the Internet or firewall settings may be incorrect. Please try again later.
Any ideas. We are using intel macs with leopard os. I am logged in as the root account and the firewall is turned off. PC computers have no problems updating. I am having the same problem on 6 macs.

a few years ago I bought a "C++ Primer" programming book from Amazon. The book is no longer downloadable from Amazon... the DRM version has gone to some other DRM format. THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST DIGITAL DRM BOOK.
I have not been able to read it although I shelled out a whoppy $45.00 USD. Adobe Digital Edition is stupid and find it awkward to use. I found one copy of the book on my old laptop that appears to be not corrupt. I'm now trying to read it from my desktop (its a 23 inch screen. Adobe suppport SUCKS, I've been at trying to open this DRM book for several Years now. The last time ADE kept kicking back "No internet connection" when I clearly have a one.
Now I'm getting this error pasted from ADE after adding the book to my library (<---stupid term for this but it is what it is). I JUST WANT TO OPEN THE BOOK I PAID FOR. I'm suppose to be able to open this book on SIX different PCs...WTF

No more Photoshop tools in Bridge?

I normally use Bridge in combination with PShop to browse my RAW files then select and use the 'Merge to HDR Pro' script from the tools menu (in Bridge) This feature seems to have disappeared in CC 2014 and been replaced with an Automate script which is rather hard to use considering I am working with thousands of images. Is there a better way to do this?

Can you explain more and provide more details?
Bridge is still at version CC but the update from 6.0.1 to 6.1.0.155 works together with PS CC 2014. And on my system (MacOS 10.8.5) I still have the option for merge to HDR Pro in my tools menu. I prefer to produce my HDR in Photomatix Pro because I personally believe Adobe HDR sucks compared to Photomatix but that is personal.
If you are referring to the Automate script called Auto Stack Panorama-HDR under the stacks menu then again on my system it always causes a crash and never has worked properly
