Adobe update error 1310

Do you run the installer as an Administrator user?
Try the following:
download the full installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ and save it to disk
close all browser windows
right-click on the downloaded installer, then select 'Run as Administrator'

Silent Reader update error 1310

Hello,
I want to update the Adobe Reader 11.0.0 to 11.0.06 silently. To start this update I am running this command: msiexec.exe /p "C:\***\reader1106\AdbeRdrUpd11006.msp".
This command often works on my test machine. Unfortunately some updates aborting with error 1310 error writing to C:\Config.Msi\***. I am using always the same machine with the same procedure (snapshot). I tried to delete this folder before installing, but error still occurs. Do you have any suggestions, what I can do?

I encountered a similar error and reacted the same way you did by turning off
security without success.
After disabling both the firewall and the antivirus for 15 minutes, I restarted my computer and then successfully performed the update.
So for me, completely disabling the firewall and antivirus security and then restarting my computer worked for me. After the update successfully installed, I immediately enabled my security.
Maybe that technique will work for you too.

Adobe updater error: Photoshop CS6 update to 13.0.5

Trying to install Photoshop update to 13.0.5 with Adobe updater/Adobe Application Manager. It's downloading completely, then trying to install. Constant error message: U44M1P7.
How can I proceed? Can not find helpful advice, when clicking on "weitere informationen" (more).
Switzerland, German version
Mac OS X 10.7.5
When clicking on "more information", it says "Error log file location: /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers"
never had any problems before. Have not changed anything in the library. Each and every update before this one allways worked perfectly.

installing via "help>updates" says, photoshop would be up do date. no update.
and I can not find any file link to download a update file manualy.
How to get the Update
In Photoshop, choose Help > Updates…"

So I have the CS5.5 Master Collection and I'm trying to do updates for the following programs:
Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5 (This update adds integration with the Adobe Product Improvement Program.)
Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 (This update includes Flex support for Apple iOS and BlackBerry Tablet OS devices, as well as fixing important bugs.)
Adobe InDesign CS5.5 (7.5.1 Update. This update provides key fixes in the areas of Text and PDF export.)
Photoshop Camera Raw (Update to the Camera Raw plug-in that ships with Photoshop CS5. Adds raw support for new camera models.)
And the error code I keep getting is as follows:
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D204
Anybody know what this error is? I've tried downloading these updates 3 times now.

I to was whacked with the same download/update error when updating to the Prelude CC 2.0.1. But deleting the "1.0" folder didn't fix anything, same old, same old, no workie, workie. Below is the error in the log. The log complains about a size mismatch. The problem is not a size mismatch, it's a missing install package: C:\Users\******\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\Install\AdobePrelude-2.0.0-Trial\2.0.1 \ ->the directory that supposed to contain the the download package is empty. While the Data directory contains the download file download information. This happened to two of my Windows 8 PCs so it's not me. So please, fix your software.

Adobe Updater Error Message

For several weks now any time the Adobe Updater tries to run I get the attached error message. It occurs no matter which Adobe program I am in nor whether it is an automatic update or a manual one. I have tried changing my Firewall settings and this has not helped. Does anyone have any ideas what to do and how to correct this? I looked through the forums and did not see this problem listed. Adobe updater, error downloading CS5 Master updates

I am trying to update CS5 Master through the updater but I always get an error, "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later." for all of the available updates in Adobe Updater. All my CS5 applications work but I cannot update them.
System specs:
Mac OS X 10.10.3 (2.4 GHz Intel Core i5, Intel Iris Graphics)
CS5 Master Suite (Photoshop ver 12.0 x64 as an example)

It looks like that worked. However a few notes to first time manual updaters using OS X.
Make sure Adobe Application Manager is closed prior to opening the .dmg file.
Premiere Pro and After Effects need a step-upgrade for each release (10.1, then 10.2, etc.; you cannot go from version 10.0 to 10.2)
Pixel Bender Toolkit 2.5 is not listed on www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html it can be found at Pixel Bender Developer Center archive | Adobe Developer Connection
Premiere Pro 5.0.4 for electronic download is not listed on www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html for OS X, but it is only for machines that have an ATI graphics card.

Adobe Update Error 1107

Hi guys I am unable to update my acrobat pro reader from 11.0.09 to 11.0.10. It shows an update error 1107 every single time I try an update! How do I resolve this issue?

Is there anything else beside the number 1107?

Hi,
I'm having this reoccurring problem when I try to launch Acrobat. Adobe updater pops up and always asks for reboot, even if i clicked "yes, reboot". I can continue with Acrobat but can't install a single update. I've been having this problem for a while now and I've had it.

Manually update by downloading the updater from the Adobe website and
turn off the auto update feature.

Adobe update errors

I recently started getting errors when trying to update my Adobe Acrobat and Free Reader. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe, but it won't reinstall and now I can't even read .pdf files! What can I do??

What is your operating system? What is your Reader / Acrobat version? What errors do you get?

When doing updates after installing with PS5. Got error "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try later". Anyone know what happen?

Preview will do all that and is part of the OS.

Adobe Update Error Message

Everytime I start or re-start my computer I get an error message that says to "restart so updating can continue" I have re-installed CS4 and I still get the same message. I know you don't support CS4 any more but hopefully you can still solve this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

We can't know anything. You are not providing any system information or even telling us what CS4 product you are trying to reinstall.

Error 1310 when trying to download Adobe reader.

I keep getting error 1310 when downloading adobe reader:
Error 1310. Error writing to file. C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.
I have Windows 7. I have tried the download using Chrome and Explorer. Please help!

Deploying Adobe Reader X update 10.1.4 ends in error 1310

Hello,
I try to update the reader installations in our company but on many clients it ends up with error 1310 (not enough rights to access C:\Config.msi-Folder).
If I start the msp-file manually it throws about 10 exceptions that it cannot write or read a file in C:\Config.msi\*.tmp. If I click retry, the installer can read or write, so i click retry everytime the error occurs and at the end the update is installed.
How can I deploy the patch silently?
Is there any hint?
I tried all of the solutions shown in here http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-1603-install-cs3-cs4.html
But none of it works.
Please help me.

If you have any antivirus or backup programs running on this system(s), try to disable them temporarily.
C:\Config.msi folder is maintained by the Windows Installer Service.
If WIS cannot access it, either this folder already has corrupted permissions or some other program holds this folder "hostage"

Reader v11 Update fails on Windows Vista (entire network) with error 1310

Tried to run the Reader v11 updater after installing v11. It fails comsistently with error 1310, although the file in the error message is different each time. The file is usually, but not always, in the folder config.msi.
We had this problem in the Reader v10 updaters as well, however we traced it to a race condition in file handling. We could get it to install by running other programs concurently or disabling anti-virus, to alter the timing of the install. Usually it took 3 to 6 attempts for it to complete successfully.
With the v11 updater, no amount of iterations will get it to install. We've tried upwards of 20 times. We've also tried re-installing v11 and then applying the update over a fresh copy. That does not work either. The usual tricks that worked with v10 also do not work with v11.
This problem could be solved easily if the updater would prompt the user for a retry on error, instead of automatically rolling back. For the main installer, the user is prompted to retry, but not for the updater. We run plenty of installers in the school without problems, but the Reader updates are always difficult.
We have wasted dozens of hours on this in our school. We are supposed to keep the Reader patched to avoid the significant vulnerabilities it introduces, but we cannot get the updater to run. If anyone else has solved this problem please let us know.

Lorraine, I posted a question in the Adobe Reader forums about the
problems we have with the updaters. I got back this response, they
are blaming it on other software and the Windows Installer. I think
that can't be true, we install all kinds of stuff without problems.
So I think the truth is they've done a crappy job on their updaters.
The latest update is for an extremely serious vulnerability, it's
active in the wild and has made the national news. So if we can't
install the update, then I think we have to move away from Adobe
altogether, to another reader.
Can you think of any reason not to do this?
