Adobe Update URLs

To control our from trying to update Adobe Reader, Flash and Shock we had to block the download sites.  This has started to cuase other issues for us.
I blocked using wildcards and this is blocking other needed URLs.
Here is what i am blocking.
*download*.adobe.com*
*get.adobe.com*
I need to know the exact download paths that Reader, Flash and Shock use.
Doing this shouls allow me to grant access to this URLs,
http://fpdownload.adobe.com/pub/swz/crossdomain.xml
http://fpdownload.adobe.com/crossdomain.xml

Reader downloads from http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/...
Flash Player downloads from
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/...
http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/...
ShockwavePlayer downloads from http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/...

  • Java/adobe update URL's needed

I know this doesn't directly answer your question, but suggestion:
Deploy updates instead of allowing clients to update automatically.
    Benefits include:
     - You know what version all of your clients are using.
     - Users are not bugged by the ever more annoying prompts to update Flash, Java, Reader etc.

I have a SonicWall and have it fully locked down using content filtering. I have done some searching and can't seem to locate the URL's needed to allow updates for Java and Adobe products (reader/flash/air). Can anybody help me out with these? Thank you.

  • Adobe Updater overloads data line while updating from Acrobat Reader 8.1.2 to 8.1.3

    Hello
I'm from germany but I'm doing my best to get you understanding me.
I'm experiencing some problems updating Adobe Reader from version 8.1.2 to 8.1.3 in our company. Our users have no administrative rights on their PCs and therefore are not able to install any update manually. That's why I want to use the Adobe Updater.
We're also using a proxy which doesn't allow our users to download any *.exe files. I configured Adobe Updater to search for Adobe Reader updates once a month.
But then from time to time our data line was fully overloaded. When I checked the logfiles of our proxy I mentioned that Adobe Updater tried to reach ardownload.adobe.com for more than 1500 times in only 3 hours from only 1 PC. This means that nearly every 7 seconds ardownload.adobe.com has been contacted by one PC. When I deactivated Adobe Updater the problem was solved. So it seems to me, that Adobe Updater is the reason why our data line get's more and more loaded by this update function.
What is happing during the discovery of available updates and wherefore does Adobe Updater tries to download the same file for more than 1500 times? Does anyone have an answer to this? If you have any proposal to solve this problem I would be glad if you answer me. And let me add that I don't want to grant our users access for downloading .exe files :-)
    Thanks so much
    Macke

The latest release of the Adobe Updater has fixes for networking with proxy servers. If you aren't running the latest (because it can't connect), you can manually download and then install the Adobe Updater for Reader & Acrobat 8 from the URLs below.

  • No basis for Adobe Updater msg

Though my Internet connection is fine and I disabled my firewall, the Adobe Updater provides the message "No Internet connection was found.  Please check your Internet settings or firewall."  Poppycock!  OK.  Can someone provide me with the URL of the most current Adobe PS CS3 update?  Thank you.

If bridge cc works to open images in camera raw 8.x, then it would be worth keeping i suppose, but other than that, it wouldn't do you much good over bridge cs3.
These are the updates for photoshop cs3 on a windows machine as of several years ago when the cs3 updater actually worked.
So you'll have to search for them here:
    http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html
All the updates are found using the above link except for the Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit 2.0.2 update, which you can get from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/scripting/estk.html
Camera raw for photoshop cs3 will never be updated past 4.6, so you might look at Adobe Lightroom 5 if you don't want to get photoshop cs6 or photoshop cc.

  • AUSST (Adobe Update Server) failing on clients with error U43M1D206

    Hi,
I have a newly configured Adobe Update Server setup running on Windows 2008 Server R2 and IIS 7.
I have the web server configured as per the PDF document (AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool.pdf, pages 15 onwards).
My clients can successfully see the test xml document at this URL from a web browser:
    http://myserver/Adobe/webfeed/oobe/aam10/mac/updaterfeed.xml
When I go to do updates from an Adobe CC app (Photoshop for example), the new updates show up in a list, but when I type in my password and attempt to update, the Adobe updater reports an error:
    "Update Failed"
    Updates could not be applied
The error log file may help you in identifying the problem.  Then, try updating again.  If the problems persist, contact customer support for further assistance.
The error log reads like this:
    Adobe Photoshop 14.2.1
Some error occured during download. Please try again later. Error Code: U43M1D206
DPS Desktop Tools CS6 30.0.0 Update
Some error occured during download. Please try again later. Error Code: U43M1D206
DPS Desktop Tools CC 30.0.0 Update
Some error occured during download. Please try again later. Error Code: U43M1D206
    Adobe ShareOnBehance 1.0.3
Some error occured during download. Please try again later. Error Code: U43M1D206
I've searched on the error code quoted above, and not found any useful information.
I'm wondering if there is an IIS server side set up issue that I'm not aware of.
Please help with any possible suggestion that I could attempt to get this working successfully as I've exhausted all possible thoughts of how to troubleshoot this further.
    Many thanks.

I have the same problem, any sollutions?

  • Adobe Update Server - help with HTTP service

    Hi all,
Could anyone please help me out with the specifics for the HTTP server needed for the Adobe Update Server?
I'm reading the TechNotes PDF, though helpful for the updater server itself, it isn't really clear on the HTTP service part.
What url exactly? which rights? and so on...
Maybe someone could host a website on his OS X Server machine and make some screenshots for me?
    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi,
There is no specific requirement from the http server for setting up adobe update server using AUSST. It should be any up-and-running http server say Apache. URLs are automatically generated by AUSST in form of client configuration files, so you do not need to bother about the URLs as such.  Similarly rights to the generated updater contents would also be automatically taken care by the tool itself. The only thing you need to figure out and tell the AUSST tool is the http based URL corresponding to the update server root that you are setting up. The latest documentation at http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/creativesuite/pdfs/UpdateServerSetupTool_ TechNote.pdf has some troubleshooting steps that help you out with most common issues.
    Thanks,
    Manju

  • Adobe Updates not downloading - available but "try again later" error with link to "serial number not qualifying"

I just upgraded computers (PC w/Windows 8 64 bit) and I did a fresh install of my copy of Adobe Photoshop CS5 (along with Bridge and Camera Raw).
The install asked for serial numbers which I provided and the installation was a success - however, I can not view full resolution images, only thumbs
in Bridge and I can not open RAW files from my Canon 5D Mark III (though, I can my files with the older Canon 7D).  I WAS able to view and work with
the newer RAW files on the older computer.
Under "Help", "Updates", it says they are available but after appearing to upload to my computers, I get this:
      Adobe Bridge CS5 4.0.5 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
Adobe Extension Manager CS5 5.0 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
      Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
There is then a link to customer service which brings me to this:
    Creative Cloud Help /
Error "This serial number is not for a qualifying product" | CS6, CS5.5, CS5
What gives?  It was a qualifying product a few months back.  Even if Adobe stopped supporting CS5 (???), I should still have access to past updates
that I had already once received.
I tried 3 times in 1 hour - no luck in getting back to a state I was in only yesterday, and months earlier.
    /Mitch

Apparently, Adobe has very little interest in it's past customers unless they shell out more cash.
I have never seen such a move as this - to REMOVE support and older update links off the Web in an effort to force an upgrade.
My tech support stated (after first stating I was simply out of luck) that he was graciously allowed to make an exception and provided me with a link to support that is strangely
hidden and /or removed from public access.
    Here is that link:

  • How do I install the FM10 licensing fix when Adobe Update Installer won't run?

Adobe Update Installer won't run so can't install FM10 licensing fix
This question is Not Answered.(Mark as assumed answered)

Because FM10 began crashing with "fatal" errors whenever I tried to generate a TOC for a small (65 page) book, I researched workarounds and none of them worked. Now that I have delivered a crippled deliverable via Acrobat manipulations, I would like to fix FM. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, got some updates, and then received the "licensing fix" error that popped up in January. I'm wondering why this fix was included not in the updates. That said, the licensing fix package, first, would not unzip so I downloaded it again. I unzipped it but I got a message that Adobe Updater Installer could not run and after several clicks I found that file. I reinstalled Adoble Update Installer but it still does not run.
I am running Windows XP and have TCS 3.5.I uninstalled FM and RH but not Acrobat, Captivate, or Photoshop.
So, now what? Listen to my supervisor who says never use FM again?
P.S. Why do I have to enter a title for my question and then do it again when this page opens??

Give Adobe Support a call or contact the TCS team at [email protected] - something in your environment is causing the installer to fail (I'd guess).

  • I need to reinstall my CS3 creative suite I bought with a student license.  It allows me to install but never asked for the serial number.  I can open the programs but can not use them, get a "Adobe updater quit unexpectedly" message.

I bought a CS3 creative suite on a student license in 2008.  The original MAC laptop has died and I am trying to install it on a MAC desktop.  the programs installs successfully but never ask for a serial number.  the programs will open but I can not open any files,  I get a Adobe Updater quite unexpectedly message.  Is this because the serial number has not been entered? I have tried chat about this problem twice, also use Adobe connect and was not helped. How do I enter this serial number?

activate is grayed out.  Registration is available and when I select it, it says "A problem was encountered while trying to send the information over the internet"  So I select "submit again" and nothing happens.  Then the program closes and I get the added updater quite message.

  • Update Error on Adobe Update... CS4 no longer works

Recently I downloaded the latest adobe update... and now it seems like CS4 is falling apart, mainly photoshop...here are the current problems I am faceing
    Program |Problem
Photoshop Extended CS4| unable to open or create new files due to an error
    |that says:
    | "The specific module could not be found. C:\Program
    |Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Version Cue CS4\Client
    |\4.0.1\VersionCue.dll
Acrobat Pro |No problems so far...
Dreamwever CS4 |No problems so far...
Flash CS4 |No problems so far...
So... I'm a little bit stuck... any help would be apreciated!
    Alex

I'll assume you are on vista and refering to this:
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb408524&sliceId=1
It's the top link in the creative suite forums... I know this why? because I just had the same issue and it took forever to figure out it was posted right up top. That said I did follow all the instructions and now everything is working fine. Be prepared though as the steps you need to take are basically.. change some rights in windows and then uninstall your suite and re-install it again. I can say it works though.. Good luck.

  • Adobe Update Ran, Now PP CS4 No Longer Works with MPEG Files & More....

I think I know what this is but I thought I would make sure.
(Running CS4 Master Suite in Windows 7 Home Premium with 16GB Ram, i970 processor and six short stroked drives for cache, files, etc.)
Last night Adobe Updater popped up and wanted to do some installs. I had already been editing a project usine PrPro and AE for several hours so called it a night and initiated updater. This morning PrPro no longer recognizes my MPEG source files! Niether does AE or ME. In PrPro it hangs on "conforming." Did I get hit with the Revert to Trial bug? Could it be something else?
What I have done: cleared all cache files, rebooted, checked cache settings, rebooted, wiped deleted cache files, rebooted, cursed.

    Welcome to the forum.
Sounds like the Revert to Trial Bug. See this ARTICLE for details and the fix.
    Good luck,

  • Adobe Updater not working for CS4

I have installed CS4 Master Collection on a new Windows 7 PC and it is working, but Adobe Updater isn't working properly. It first installed a few updates that were correct, but now it can't find the remaining updates (which I know exist).
The message is "Please note that some updates for the following products cannot be determined at this time," and then it lists most of the products.
I know that CS4 isn't supported any more, but I would have expected Adobe Updater to at least apply the remaining available patches.
I found another thread where it suggested the updates shown depend on the system clock. (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/913379). I set it to earlier and it briefly found the updates, but it seems to cause Adobe Updater to become unstable, so that hasn't worked for me. There was a suggestion that the Adobe certificate may be out of date (thus the System Clock fix works for some), perhaps Adobe needs to update its certificates?
How can I get Adobe Updater to apply remaining patches? Thanks.

  • HELP!!  Adobe Updater won't work and can't install camera raw 4.6

I just installed Photoshop CS3 Extended onto my new MacBook Pro running Mavericks OS.  My Adobe Updater says "No Internet connection.  Please check your Internet settings and/or firewall.  Waiting for connection..." That's the first problem.  I figured out how to manually update Photoshop and Bridge, but Adobe Updater still shows this message when trying to check for updates.  Also, I've tried to update Camera Raw from 4.0 to 4.6 and I can't figure out how to manually install it.  I knkow the website says to do the following:
    Mac:
Exit Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Bridge.
    Open the Finder.
Navigate to the root of the local disk (not the user’s home folder).
    Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS3/File Formats.
Move the existing plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensure you keep this version in case you need to revert back.
Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw, from the download into the same folder as in Step 4.
Launch Photoshop CS3 or Adobe Bridge.
I nativagated to Library/Application Support/Adobe, but there is no Plug-Ins folder.  So, I manually entered "Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS3/File Formats" and it says this folder doesn't exist.  Can anyone help me update my camera raw?!  PLEASE!!
    Thank you so much!

    What exactly means "refuses"?
This is the message which comes up if I try to update (from the Help menu) or re-install my licenced copies of CS6 or Photoshop Elements 9.
    “We've encountered the following issues
Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem”
    Get Adobe Support Advisor”
    OR
on trying to open PhotoshopCS6 I get this message:-
“Adobe Application Manager required to start your trial, is missing or damaged.
Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager_uk”
When I follow these instructions and try and start up/install or update Photoshop CS6 I get the same messages all over again. This has been going on since Tuesday afternoon and I am anxiuous to resolve the problem. For several years now all this has worked perfectly through your website and I cannot understand what has changed.  Once I cancel these messages the products themselves seem to function OK. When I attempt to use Adobe Update Manager I get the same messages as above. You will see that my products are properly licensed and up to date. Have you any solution?
