"Adobe updater" for all Adobe products

Hello,
it would be realy nice to have a "Adobe Updater" for all Adobe Products.
At the momemt Flash Player, Adobe Reader, Photoshop Elements, ... has their own updater, but some Adobe products have still no auto updater.
So please create one updater for all products.

I can speak only for Windows systems and there I currently know:
- Air
- Shockwave Player
For Photoshop Elements (as example) there exist already the "Adobe Application Manager".
Flash/Shockwave Player, Adobe Reader and Air should be also updated via "Adobe Application Manager".
There it should be possible to set for each application, if we want also beta updates if available or not.

Why can't I download Photoshop CC(2014) and why does my Creative cloud app show updates for CC(2014) products I do not have?

Why can't I download Photoshop CC(2014) to my Mac Pro desktop running OSX 10.9.3. My Creative Cloud app shows updates for all apps that I have as CS6 on my desktop but I have only subscribed to Photoshop CC. Lightroom shows Install but it is installed. Trying to Install Photoshop CC(2014) results in and error message "Installation failed Errors encountered during installation.(7) more information.
More information gives Exit Code: 7
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For Example, ERROR:

I also cannot directly download from my account on the web. This has been going on for a week or more and I have tried numerous suggestions on the forums but got nowhere. I uninstalled Creative Cloud app today but could not find the installer again so I assume that was deleted. I cannot download that now as on Adobe's site it says we are experiencing problems. Aren't we all.
I was happy with CC until last week but now cannot recommend it.
I also have a Macbook Pro retina and Photoshop CC(2014) downloaded no problem on that.

Cannot enable "Updates for other Microsoft products" on WSUS client

i cannot enable the checkbox "Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update Windows" ("Microsoft update" instead of "Windows update"). If I enable it and press ok, the GUI stalls a bit and the check is removed.
Installing updates from the wsus server works. The client is a 2012 R2 install.

This is not allowed by firewall/proxy, so this obviously fails.This server is located in a secured vlan and should not have access to internet in any way. I suppose client should fetch the .cab from wsus?

I can set the cab path myself if I use
vbscript to register the microsoft update service, but I don't know which cab url I should use for this.
I've used the same install image before, but I think all servers had access to internet (via proxy) when doing the first windowsupdate. this is no longer allowed. the image is an MDT installation image that attempt to enable the Microsoft update setting
with vbs as described in link above.
Please advice how to resolve this issue.

Well, no, not really. Presumably there is no need to do so. The two environments use completely different classification methodologies which have almost zero relationship to one another.
The issue is this is checked for in the server security audit, all servers have this setting, but this one hasn't. I will need to be able to motivate/proof this point to our security department.
I would say your security department maybe needs to do some of their own self-education on how Microsoft's patch management system has worked for the past twenty years, and more recently, how it has worked with SUS/WSUS for the past eleven years. This is not
new stuff! :-)
Also odd is that on this server I only have one service in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\RequestedAppCategories.
Don't really know much about what's in the ~\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate key either as it's also irrelevant to the WSUS environment.

Unix command to stop Software updates for all users except admins?

I want to stop App Store and other software updates for all user accounts. Administrator accounts should still be able to do Software Updates.
Is there a terminal command that can do that i can push out through ARD?

Managed preferences are the best bet. You could use Profile Manager or use the mcx command from the command line. I'd strongly suggest browsing over this before delving into MCX though...

Can't get Windows update to download updates for other MS products

Hi,
Installed W7 Home Premium on a single system and for one or another reason I cannot get Windows Update to download updates for other Microsoft products. MS Office University 365, MS Visual Studio Pro 2013 and Microsoft Expression are also installed on this
system.
I click on Find Out More in the Windows Update page and IE 11 opens. It first goes to http://www.update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/vistadefault.aspx?ln=en-au and then redirects to http://www.update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/thanks.aspx?ln=en&&thankspage=5

As you can see there is no change settings button as described at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/change-windows-update-installation-notification#1TC=windows-7 .There is no way I can change settings so updates for other MS products are also downloaded.
Firefox is my default browser; even if I load the link in Firefox I get the same result.

Don't use a web browser to do that. Since Vista, WindowsUpdates are no longer performed in a web browser, it's in Control Panel. (that's why the
www.update.microsoft.com web page is telling you to check Start Menu")
The Change Settings button, appears in the Windows Update applet in Control Panel.
Click "Start", and in the search box, type in: Windows Update. Or, look on Start Menu. Or go to Control Panel/System&Security/WindowsUpdate.

Device Software update for nokia 5800 product code...

I have nokia 5800- XpressMusic. product code 0575590.
I read that there was a new firmware available for 5800 which is 50.0.005
I tried to get the firmware over the air and was successful in doing so.
I have been checking the nokia support website for software updates for the same product code and see it change from 40 to 30 and back to 40 every few days..
wats up with that??

Is the iPod Touch 2nd Gen no longer usable? Is this what is store for all Apple products?

I am very disheartened with Apple. I have loved the iPod touchs up until now. It seems the iPod Touch 2nd Gen no longer download apps that work on the 4.2.1 iOS. I was just selling my wife on Apple products and now this has shut her and I down on all Apple products. I hope I am wrong but is Apple partaking in planned obsolesence? If so, planned obsolesence is not marketing and I will be looking at other brands when it comes to electronic devices. If not, how do you download apps for an iPod touch 2nd gen running a max iOS of 4.2.1? Thank you.

Don't despair Look at "Vintapps" in the Apple app store. It has tons of available apps for all those earlier ios devices. And you can download them right to your ios device. Many are free.
Although I wrote this 99 cent app specifically to help solve this problem, I need to add that "I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link."
Be sure to keep backups of older software. Once an app is updated, the older version is no longer available to be downloaded from Apple.

Install security updates for all users

I am using the a form with digital signatures fields, and when a user logs onto a pc and opens the form Adobe asks if you would like to install new security settings. I tell my user to click yes, but there are multiple users on multiple PCs that will be using this form. Is there a way to install this same setting for all users? I am using Adobe reader 9.3, and the form was deisgned with Designer. Any help would be very appreciated.

I extracted the contents of the .xpi file into the browsers\extensions folder using the extension ID, yet that doesn't seem to have done anything. I ran firefox after copying the uncompressed files with an administrator account with no luck. Any thoughts?

How to turn on / off live updating for all smart playlists at once?

Hello. Is there a way to turn live updating on or off for all my smart playlists at once? That would be a fantastic feature since too many smart playlists with live updating turned on brings iTunes to a crawl.
Currently, I run iTunes on Windows 7. I have over 40,000 songs, and I have hundreds of smart playlists to help organize all my songs and what's on my various iPods at any time. The problem with having so many smart playlists is that iTunes runs very slow. One thing that I do to make iTunes run slightly faster is to turn off live updating for as many smart playlists as I can stand (by going into each one and editing), but then it's hard to tell which have live updating turned on and which don't. As a result, many of my smart playlists don't get updated when I would like them to because I have to go in and manually edit each one again to turn it back on. Maybe showing which have live updating turned on or off would be useful, too?
On a related note, my iPod Classic will actually not work when I sync too many smart playlists. This has been a long-standing problem with iPods, and I'm surprised that it hasn't been fixed yet. I have not experimented to see if it makes any difference if the smart playlists have live updating turned on or off.

it also doesn't seem to recognize "Home Videos" or "Audiobooks" as special and tries to turn them off -- i modified the earlier script to add those two to the lists of exclusions, but still get the same error message on the first "unspecial/real" smart playlist -- hasn't somethign changed in the object model perhaps?

2.1 review with itunes 8 update for all

I initially had addressed the international font issue that the new itunes was having. Apart from that, the addition of the genius tab along with minor improvements here and there seems to make the new itunes 8 likable.
Now, for all iphone 3G users.
I'll try my best to give you the complete review and opinions after couple of hours since the launch of the new update 2.1 .
Battery Life:
It has only been couple of hours, not even a full day yet but from what I have noticed, I say that there seems to be an improvement with the battery measure. It does not give a ridiculous full bar than a sudden decrease, it literally gradually falls. After 3 hours, the tip of the battery bar is now gone, good improvement on this.
Phone Coverage:
Rejoice. There is definite improvement on this part of the end. I am in Houston currently visiting and the place that I live in gave a poor coverage before. The bar with the 3g turned on was always moving from 1 bar to 2 bars. After the update, I am truly, on a full 5 bars most of the times with occasional drops to 4 bars. Stevey kept his word and the coverage has definitely boosted itself up.
Call quality and drop issues:
This may sound ********, but after the update, I made 10 calls to ten different people in different areas. Chatted for about 5-10 minutes with each individuals and it has been positive. No dropped calls and clear and sound communication both ways (me and the receiving party). It could be due to the fact that my area has good coverage (now, that is) but as I have mentioned above, the coverage issue has been resolved for me so I see this is a plus benefit that works out well for call quality issue as well.
Application Stability:
To pinpoint precisely, the currency converter that I had for the iphone has been not responding after the 2.0.2 update. I could not figure out whether the fault was with the phone's update or whether the application was buggy but after a solid update, this application is up and running smoothly. This is just one example. I have tested all my applications one by one to check their stability and it's all a positive check on this one.
Contacts:
The issue that had been driving me the most prior to this update.
Simply put, the contact list was S.L.O.W with the 2.0.2. There was literally a lag of 4 seconds for me everytime I turned on my contacts list.
Well, with this update now, this issue has been improved, but it is definitely NOT perfect.
The lag time has now been decreased to 1 to 1.5 seconds from what I have noticed and the scroll movement is much better now. However, I think there is still much improvement needed on this issue that still needs to be worked on.
BACK UPS:
The topic that everyone seemed to have agreed upon before is this, the amount of time it takes for the iphone to be update through sync.
Great improvement now, cutting the time it takes to update by more than half I would say.
But like all humans, don't we always want things to be faster?
I know I'm sending out a dangerous note here that will get me a lot of hate replies and evil looks from the users as well as the programmers (who I must give credit, are really working hard. thank you guys), but the backup time is still an issue.
We could definitely see further improvements in this area as well.
e-mail and text message issues:
Frankly speaking, these two topics did not cause me much trouble before. The e-mails ran fine the way it should (i have yahoo! & gmail accounts on the phone) and the text messaging ran smoothly for me before.
I guess since i did not have much of an issue on these topics, i definitely could rely on many other users for their kind inputs, reviews and suggestions.

Thanks for the great review. One of the big things I was waiting for was the addition of the ability to increase notifications for SMS messages by up to two times.
Well, Apple did implement this, just not very efficiently.
I use SMS mainly as an alternative to a pager for work. However, the iPhone just does not repeat enough times to wake me up in the middle of the night. I was hoping that with this update, I would be able to control whether or not it gave me additional notification or not. Thinking that the notifications would be back-to-back.
Here is what I have found since installing the update. The additional notifications are automatically turned on and you cannot control it. The additional notifications are not back-to-back notifications (like most other cell phones and pagers) but are instead spaced 5 minutes apart.
So, if you get an SMS and do not look at it, the iPhone will notify you again 5 minutes after the SMS was received. If you still do not look at it, the iPhone will notify you again 10 minutes after the SMS was received.
While I am glad they added this feature, I wish they had give the end-user more control over how this feature is configured.

How do I disable the itunes auto-update for all users?

I need to know if there is a way to disable the auto-update feature for all users that login to a windows XP computer.
I have disabled it for the account currently logged in as well as copy that user profile to the "default user" profile. However I have about 300 users that do not have admin rights that still get prompted to install updates.
Is there a way to disable the auto update as the default for all users. So that only I get the auto update notifications?
