Adobe usable on 3 devices instead of 2

I really think that Adobe should think about allowing users to work with CC on 3 devices instead of 2. It is really annoying needing to sign out of all other devices when I bust out my laptop for some coffee shop work or in the field work. I am unsure on the data or statistics, but I feel many share a similar device setup as mine. Being a designer, I have a work iMac, an iMac at home and a Macbook Pro. I use all three depending on the projects at hand, or if I want to take a work from home day on occasion. Sometimes while I am working from home, I will go to a coffee shop or library to have a change of pace. This is but one example but I feel like 3 is a magic number for usable devices.

  • CS5 Photoshop - Adobe Save for Web & Devices Error

    Hi folks,
I know similar threads exists, but this one is different. For some reason, out of the blue, I can't use 'Save for Web' anymore. When I choose 'save for web', it opens the preview dialog nicely, up until I save & get this error:
"Adobe Save for Web & Devices Error
Could not complete this operation. An unknown operating system error has occurred."
Cleared all my settings, and the error remains.
I uninstalled PS CS5, installed it again... still get this error.
Hope someone knows how to fix it!
    Tx!
MacBookPro3,1, running all the latest updates (OSX 10.6.4), CS5 Master Collection.
Luckily still have CS4 Master Collection installed (and Flash CS3).
(I've just got to get this off my chest, CS5 has so much issues that I stopped using it, I'm not getting paid for playing crashtestdummie. Please don't rush any future CS collections and try fixing bugs instead. )

    Hi Wade,
Tx, but 99% of my time, I work on my local system (scratch disk also). Already had problems working with the company's network (files get locked or corrupted while trying to save), so we've learned the hard way not to use the network.
I guess that's somewhat expected if you work with a Mac, in a professional Windows environment.
Meanwhile, I'm a step closer in finding a solution myself. A colleague gave me a great tip, if you create an extra user account on the system, you start with a clean library. On my second account, PS CS5 is working just fine. So clearly, something went wrong in my library. Maybe permissions like you've said. At this point, I could try to fix it by copying files from the one user to the other. But I would like to wait for that connect session so they can see what's wrong.

  • Error message in Adobe Pdf in printer device panel when trying to create a pdf document.  I have CS3

Error message in Adobe Pdf in printer device panel when trying to create a pdf document.  I have CS3 Web Premium with Acrobat Professional 8.  I use it fine on my old computer with Windows XP.  I recently got a new laptop with Windows 7.  I installed all my Adobe programs, and I think they are working.  When I look at Adobe PDF in the device section of the Control Panel it looks okay.  But when I try to print a Word, Photoshop, or HTML page in PDF, nothing happens.  I have tried printing both as File>print and using the PDF tab on the top menu bar.  I look at the device in the control panel and it has the yellow error warning symbol and suggests trying to troubleshoot.  I look at the document list and it says status "error".  When I try troubleshooting Windows suggests doing some Home Sharing and also suggests canceling the document I'm trying to print.  I tried re-installing just Acrobat 8 from CS3 (and have to use Photoshop CS4 disk for shared documents I guess).  I ran into a can't locate adobepdf_dll file, so did a web search on this issue and found a suggestion that I find and use the adobepdf_dll_64 file and may have to (I did have to) remove the "_64" for it to work.  I think I successfully reinstalled using that dll file- no errors came up anyway.  But still when I try printing/converting a photoshop, webpage, or word document into pdf, the pdf device in control panel still gives the error status on the document and gives the same troubleshooting advice.  Help?

I just compared the properties between the two computers.  On the old computer it has the port as "My Documents/*.pdf".  On my new computer it lists the port as "LPT1".  I tried changing the port to "Print as File", but when I try printing a photoshop picture as pdf, I get a "Access Denied".  I then tried to create a new port on the device control panel.  I tried to create a local port "My Documents/*.pdf" port but was denied.  I ten tried to create a new port type and control panel asked for an INF file.  I wonder if this is where my problem lies.  Thoughts?

  • When will Adobe Reader for Mobile Devices support 3D PDF files?

When will Adobe Reader for Mobile Devices support 3D PDF files?

There are two basic varieties of LiveCycle XFA...Static XFA and Dynamic XFA, which are very different in terms of their future for potential support in Adobe Reader for iOS. Which variety of XFA are you using?
Static XFA uses the PDF markup language for content and form fields, so users can view the documents in Adobe Reader for iOS, but we currently do not properly handle filling, saving, and submitting those forms. I have improving our handling of Static XFA on my roadmap, but cannot offer any specific date yet (sorry, policy plus actual uncertainty). I know that there are some other apps that partially support Static XFA, though I do not know how complete their support is. If you can even open the XFA document in Adobe Reader for iOS, it is likely Static XFA.
Dynamic XFA is effectively a JavaScript application packaged inside a PDF wrapper, which generates layout and form fields via code and requires a significant engine to support this. Support for Dynamic XFA is unfortunately not currently on our roadmap for iOS due to the nature of the technology, and our concern that any implementation we try likely will not pass Apple's restriction against installing something that allows other "apps" to be downloaded and executed from within it. The LiveCycle team is exploring solutions for our enterprise customers wanting to use Dynamic XFA from mobile devices as part of their server offering, but I cannot offer any insight here. To my knowledge, there are no applications that handle Dynamic XFA other than Adobe Reader for the desktop platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux).

  • Adobe AIR for Mobile Devices?

    Hi,
I was just recently asked whether there is a project for developing Adobe AIR for mobile devices?
This would be really exciting as you could develop your own projects for mobile devices as well as desktop computers...
    Any ideas?

It is possible. The thing is Apple won't let developers put their AIR apps into Apple's iTunes store.

  • My ipod nano. when connected to a computer doesn't appear as an ipod but a USB device instead. Please help.

Please help me! I badly want to transfer my videos to my computer but it won't appear as an ipod nano but a usb device instead. So I can't see the DMIC folder. I only see 'Recordings', 'Recylcler', and other folders but I can't see the DMIC folder. And yes, I already enabled it to disk use, but it still won't appear. Please help.

What generation iPod Nano do you have?  I assume the Enable Disk Use option is ticked from under the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes?
If it's a 5G Nano, have you seen this article to help walk you through the process of copying these recorded videos to your PC.

  • Need help to deauthorize my adobe id to ios devices.

Need help to deauthorize my adobe id to ios devices.

That will depend which Adobe DRM reader app you are running on the IOS device.
It should either be under some settings within the app itself,
or in app section within the general settings area of the device.
Might be best to do a google search for 'deauthorize bluefire ios'
(replacing bluefire with whatever your app is).

  • Sony sd-card read as device instead as camera

Hi, I bought a Sony HDR-PJ320E camera because of it's compatibility with imovie and fcpx.
But for some reason fcpx doens't read the private file anymore after formatting the disk.
Fcpx read the sd card as a device instead of a camera.
I think that the problem started after I reformated the sd-card in the camera to empty it.
    Anyone knows about this problem.
And how can I recuperate my movie files?
Thankt a lot for helping me.

    Thanks Karsten,
    I'm working FCP 10.0.7
I understand what you talking about. But no way to read the SD card like the way you explain.
    I'll show you 2 examples.
    Card 1// 4G SD card
Card 2// 32SD card (formated the same way)
This is what I get in FCP
Card 1// Everything works fine - read as CAMERA
Card 2// Card is read as device and show content instead of movie files
    I'm getting nuts about it.
Ithinks I will convert the .MTS files by Handbrake and Compressor into ProRes files.
Hope there will not be to many quality loss.
Any thanks a lot for your help,

  • Lightroom download from Adobe site stops after 327mB instead of 744MB. Can someone help?

lightroom download from Adobe site stops after 327mB instead of 744MB. Can someone help?

try a different browser and/or different wired connection and/or a download manager.
    or
if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here: New Adobe Lightroom 6 (CC) Direct Download Links – Free Trials | ProDesignTools  or  New Adobe Lightroom 5: Direct Download Links + Difference vs. LR4 | ProDesignTools or Direct Download Links for Lightroom 3 and Photoshop Elements 8 | ProDesignTools
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

  • Install Adobe on Ipod touch devices

Is there a way to install Adobe on Ipod touch devices without going through Itunes. We use these devices in the factories and warehouse to do inventory and shipping transactions as well as access email for the users.  Currently, when the user recieves and email attachment of a PDF, that atachment does not render correctly on the device because Adobe is not installed.  We do not want to have the coportate Itunes account associated with the devices because the devices go into the field and only have intranet access, etc.  With some of our other vendors we have...internally signed apps (I have no idea what that means, but that is the term from our IT folks) which allows our IT to install the app on devices as needed or push applications to the devices as needed without going out and downloading it from somewhere.  Is this possible with the Adobe app for Ipod devices?

    Hi CJONES,
Thank you for posting on the forums. What are you referring here as Adobe? Is it Adobe Reader or Acrobat ?
Acrobat :- We do not have Acrobat for Ipad and Android.
Adobe Reader:- You need to download it from http://www.adobe.com/products/reader-mobile.html

  • Can i save the sketch on the ipad device instead of to the creative clound? do i need to be on the interet at all time in order to use adobe shapes cc or any other adobe mobile app?

I am a new apple product user since I am thinking of purchase an ipad just using the adobe mobile apps products line.
I was wondering, do I need to have internet connection at all time in order to use adobe shapes cc or any other adobe mobile apps?
can I save the sketch on the device itself without having have to the creative cloud?
    thank in advance.

My problem with saving the images instead of using the creative cloud was that the image looses the vector and becomes pixilated which is what you're trying to avoid by using the app in the first place. I am confused on how to get the app to sync to the cloud, because it's not working.

  • SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe on a Table device?

    Hi All,
I am wondering if anyone has IFbA running on any form of portable table device?  I understand (correct me if I am wrong) that it won't work on an iPad.
If so, what device and operating system / browser combination are you using?
For those of you who might ask why not consider an app (web or native), that is also being considered.  Right now I am interested if IFbA is even a possibility at a technical level.
    Rgds
    John Moy

    Hi Otto,
Thanks for your reply.  Yes I can understand why you would question the usability of the Adobe form on a tablet device.  But it is still being considered as an OPTION because the business requirement is to be able to work offline for days without network coverage (people in remote regions of Australia) so 'always connected' scenarios are out of the question.  They need to be able to complete as many as 20 forms at a time and store the data on the device, then sync back when they are back online.
Of course another option is app development, and this brings up questions around solution such as Sybase.  Currently we are licensed for IFbA, but we do not have Sybase in our environment so the 'cost hurdle' is higher to justify.  Also we know of course the SAP-Sybase solution is still evolving.
We would need to consider each option from a cost benefit perspective.  Currently the users actually prefer the Adobe form because of the nature of what they are recording, they also want to be able to print it and use it in paper forms for some people (eg. those that don't have a tablet).
    Thanks again
    John

  • How do I view folios in Adobe Content Viewer on device?

    Hello,
I have just upgraded to the Creative Cloud. In my newly created folio, I see the icon for Local Folio. How can I get that folio to the cloud, so I can have it downloaded to my device in the Adobe Content Viewer?

    Hi Jo,
When you create your folio you can preview it by:
    1) Opening the Folio Builder window and clicking Preview > Preview on Desktop at the bottom left
    2) Opening the Folio Builder window and clicking Preview > Preivew on Jo’s iPad at the bottom left (only works if you have Adobe Content Viewer installed and open on a plugged in iPad)
To actually compile your app and install the development ipa file on your iPad:
    1) Select your Folio in the Folio Builder window
    2) From the top, right flag pull down select “Create App”
    3) This will launch the Digital Publishing Suite App Builder that takes you through the steps to create the ipa file
