Adobe Volume Licensing

Hi Adobe,
I am wondering if Adobe Volume Licensing could list the number of licenses we have actually downloaded? Our Licensing website shows the number of licenses we have purchased but does not give a record of how many we have downloaded and are actually using. I spoke with a support representative name Garima at 800-443-8158, case #209718922 and she confirmed that Adobe DOES track this information, but does not release it to customers under any circumstances. This may be a legal issue that Adobe will not compromise on, but I believe it would be helpful for good faith customers to be able to reconcile their accounting of downloaded licenses with Adobe's records. That way, the customer can make maximum use of the software they have spent so much money on, but also stay within Adobe's licensing agreement terms without accidentally mis-accounting and going over.

I would think that Adobe Customer Support could tell you which licensed products you have, that are Activated (effectively using the license). If they cannot, I would hope that they can direct you to a source of that information.

Contact your university. Volumes licenses are not the same as the normal licenses you buy, and they should be able to give you advice on how to set it up. It may be that volume licenses are not to be registered.

How do I determine if my version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 is a volume license and can be deployed remotely and silently across my network?

Someone in our organization purchased a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 from Best Buy. It now needs to be deployed across the network and the deployment instructions at Silent install instructions | Adobe Premiere Elements 10 | Volume License version | Windows, explicitly state: Only Enterprise customers can perform the following procedures to silently install Adobe Premiere Elements 10 on Windows with an Adobe volume license (AVL). I'm assuming that I probably have the wrong version of the software, but is there a way that I can tell definitively?

EricPriest if the serial number is registered on http://www.adobe.com/ then it is likely a retail serial number. Volume license serial numbers are located at https://licensing.adobe.com/. If you wish to purchase a volume license for Photoshop Elements then I would encourage you to contact Adobe directly or an authorized volume license reseller. The copy you received from Best Buy is likely a retail version suitable for use by one individual to utilize on up to two computers.

Is there a way to change a volume license to individual license?

I've recently upgrade all 11 of our licenses from CS5.5 to CS6, the boxed licenses worked no probs but the volume license did not.
After chatting to support they informed me that the volume license will have to be upgraded by that department and the best they can offer me was a refund on the 7 copies.
So after speaking with Adobe Volume licensing (Business) I was informed that they don't offering the CS5.5 to CS6 upgrade anymore GRRR.
It's CC or nothing with them so now I'm trying to find a workaround as having 2 different versions is not the way and I'm not willing to change to CC.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated thanks

No installation on homecomputer using Volume Licensing?

We have just upgraded to CS4 for 6 persons using Adobe Volume Licensing.
Isn't it possible to install twice (at work and at home / not active simultaneously) for the same person using AVL?

It’s a warning, please ignore it. It is supported on Enterprise Edition, and SQL Server setup will finish successfully. It will not
fail for that reason.

It's XI not VI (roman numerals for eleven).
Probably not. It does depend to an extent on the volume licensing program that is in use. Some programs include update rights - that doesn't mean you can buy an upgrade, it means the program manager can get upgrades.
If you are one of those people who have a volume license "cut off" from your program manager e.g. after leaving a company, I think that is the end of the line.

Need volume license download for Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional. Not available in downloads portal.

We have a volume license for Acrobat 9 professional, and I can see the key in my portal. We, however, do not have a disk for this license, nor is a download available in the downloads portal.
Since we have purchased this software, it would be nice to install it on our computer, especially since we have been recently upgrading hardware.

What did you do with the original media at the time of the volume license purchase? If it was a download, then where did you save it (and best backup the software)? There is a download for the regular AA9 distribution that can probably be found by searching this forum. It is a bit tricky to download, but can be done last I checked. Medias for Adobe CS3 Design Standard/Premium (Windows) Volume License

We have volume licenses for CS3 Design Standard /Design Premium but no media kit for Windows, unfortunately. All attempts at finding this or buying it have failed. I've spoken direct to Adobe and the official solution is to upgrade to CS6 or Adobe CC! Which really isn't helpful. I've tried upgrading from the trial version of Design Std but that doesn't work.

I'm a bit confused...I saw your note above about not working with volume license keys, but I disregarded it out of optimism because it doesn't match my experience.
For our volume licenses, we get our our downloads via ESD (since CS3), and I was under the strong impression they were the same as the trial media (I believe the filenames and download URLs are actually the same?), but I guess I have not verified.
I wonder if the more likely case is that your volume license code is invalid or has a typo or something? On the other hand, you guys seem to have two data points (Martin and James) to my one marginal one ("strong impression"), so there's that. And I guess my experience with this is Macintosh based but it should not be platform-specific.
Still.
I guess another possibility is to make sure that you're downloading the Design Standard installer instead of the installer for the individual products or perhaps the wrong suite package? I dunno.
I remain skeptical, but I realize there's not a lot of data to back up my skepticism.

How/when do we get the Captivate 8 upgrade for our volume license with Adobe Software Assurance?

We bought Captivate 6 as a volume license with a two-year ASA maintenance and support agreement, which is supposed to include all patches and upgrades. That already got us upgraded from Captivate 6 to 7. However, we've had no similar message regarding the upgrade to Captivate 8. As suggested in another discussion, I tried downloading the Cap 8 trial and using our Cap 7 serial number, but it was not accepted.
Hints, suggestions, prophecies, authoritative Adobe statements all welcome. Thanks in advance.

Adobe Flash Pro Volume License Install

I have use various methods of including the volume license in
the install of Adobe Flash Professional and none of these methods
actually prevent the Validation screen from appearing on the first
load of Adobe Flash Professional version 8.
I have use this property in the commandline:
ISX_SERIALNUMBER=%SERLNUM% I have used dashes and no dashes.

I have even created a transform that the log recognizes the
property of the license for the volume license and still the
validation screen popup when opening Adobe Flash Professional.
The validation screen requires the input of the CLP volume
license. My users will not have this license available to them, so
how can I get this install to work?

I have the correct License Key which I checked on Adobe License site but when I enter it
is says it's incorrect

Problem solved,
I found the original Adobe installation files on our system that we used to first intall Acrobat Pro.
Using these files with the correct volume license key we were able to install the programme on our new Computers.
I was also informed by Adobe Help that I could also download these file from the Adobe License website after logging in.

we want to develop and sell a plugin for Adobe InDesign. Main target market are universities and companies.
Some questions: is it possible to create a bundle of 100 plug-in licenses which can be used with one Adobe-ID?
Why: some companies use Volume Licensing and I suppose only use one Adobe-ID. It is possible to sell plug-ins (100x) for use with one Adobe-ID?
Is there any information about this on the Adobe website?
