Adobe: Why Not Update The Photoshop Download Package to 13.0.1?

Just for grins I downloaded the Adobe CS6 software again (all 1.17 GB of it) and compared it to what I downloaded before. It's the same - 13.0.0.
Why the heck doesn't Adobe update their download package to the latest revision?
Who in their right mind at Adobe thinks it's a good idea to have customers download and try software with egregious bugs like the Text Layer Corruption problem or the Layer Bounds Slowdown problem or any of the other bunches and bunches of bugs fixed in 13.0.1?
Anticipating the answer "the prospective customers will immediately get the update notices and go through that process, and thus will be testing 13.0.1"...
Let me get this straight - you want potential customers to go through a 1+ GB download process, try to start using the software and immediately then have to download tens or hundreds of megabytes more software? What, to show off your wonderful, reliable update process? Are you nuts?
Adobe, you seem to be mired in processes that don't work. Don't you think it's time maybe to re-evaluate them?

You could certainly be correct. I always install from physical media, so I do not know all the in-and-outs of the download files. I also will manually update my Adobe programs, via the Adobe AutoUpdater, so do not pay close attention to when the downloadable, executable files are posted.
However, and especially on the Premiere Pro forums, I do see the timing of the release of updates, both for Adobe Updater, and then for the stand-alones. As the announcements of such releases usually come from Adobe Staff, I have asked them questions on why certain timing differences exist, and the comments above are predicated on their responses.
I have never asked about updating the trials, or downloadable program packages, as those have never affected me before. I can only speculate that it takes a few more days to get the full package ready, than to do even the downloadable executable update, but could well be incorrect.
Also, I can see the potential for lag between an update, and getting that newer version onto physical media - also, I would imagine that Adobe and its resellers would want to clear the shelves of the earlier version (by this, I mean updated "versions," and not upgraded versions.). If I buy my media from Adobe, I anticipate that I might, or might not get the latest, update, so the first thing that I do, unpon installation, is to use Adobe AutoUpdater, to check - usually through Bridge for my suites.

If you are using the welcome screen try updating directly from the Organizer but first open your web browser and make sure you are logged in to Photoshop.com on-line.
Then launch Photoshop Elements Organizer
On the menu bar click Help >> Elements Inspiration Browser

Why not update the Tutorials before new releases?
As a newcomer to Dreamweaver, downloading the practice files as advised and despite trying to follow the Tutorial for Bayside Beat, each and every step had a completely different Interface, Menu or Cursor Point for what should be a simple step by step guide!
The guide is pointless to anyone downloading the latest version of Dreamweaver to use for the first time in relation to the Tutorial that accompanies it. Despite the answers provided to questions from other members, the differences are not as plain and easy as the responses provided to newcomers of Dreamweaver.

I agree that they should have updated the tutorial to match the new updates. But the differences weren't that bad that you couldn't do the tutorial. I was able to figure my way through the tutorial but instead of completing it in 45min. It took me 4hours. I will list some of the differences that I saw in the interface:
- Title box moved down to the bottom of the property inspector
- Live and Design key are one instead of two separate buttons
- There were no expanded or compact view for the CSS design box (if there is one, let me know because I didn't find it)
- Changing the list-style-type property is under Text not Others (This is when you remove the bullets from the navigation bar)
- The tutorial where you have to remove the blue after you floated the two columns, there are no selection for Left, you have to manually input it in. Example: Select Footer, under Other select Clear and the box next to it type in Left.
I found that it was pretty helpful to print off the extended version of this tutorial in text. It goes over more things in depth and cover other design elements that wasn't in the videos. Here's the link: Learn Dreamweaver | Adobe Developer Connection

You have to contact a reseller and they will fix you up with a plan and verify your eligibility. That's just how it work. when you are eligible, the normal student pricing applies, give or take any extra discounts based on the number of licenses you buy, which would not apply in your case.

Why not leave the choice to let the media files in their place (in the Final Cut Events folder for exemple) in the update?
All my media files are missing for other software (like Motion) and we loose the control of our raw footage.
This would have the dual space on our hard drives to protect our original files separately.

Ok i find a part of the solution. I can Open the Package on the library in the Finder. I have everything inside. So it's good for me to keep the hand on all my medias. But others software can't open it, it's hidden (for Motion or DaVinci Resolve for exemple). I must search all neccesary files on Finder, duplicate on a normal folder to use it.

I can tell you that this is some of the absolutely worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I found out from a store employee that when they are really busy with calls, they have third party companies taking overflow calls. One of those companies is Xerox. What can a Xerox call center rep possibly be able to authorize on a Verizon account? I'm Sure there is a ton of misinformation out there due to this. They don't note the accounts properly or so everyone can see them. I have been transferred before and have asked if they work for Verizon or a third party also and was refused an answer so, apparently they aren't required to disclose that information. I spent a long time in the store on my last visit and it's not just customers that get the runaround. It happens to the store employees as well and it's beyond frustrating.

Could you please let me know what error prompts on your screen when you are trying to enter the serial number.
Have you bought subscription for Acrobat, if yes then you might need to sign in at "adobe.com" using your Adobe ID credentials to activate subscription.

Many people (including me) are having the same problem at present. There are other threads in the message board with the same complaint.
There is nothing you can do about it except wait for Apple to fix the problem.

The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for if you are unable to update your iOS device:
