Adobe X (10.1.0) and web forms

Hi
I am using Adobe reader 10.1.0 on a windows XP pro computer. When I go to a website such as AMEX to fill in a form, after filling in the form and selecting the submit button, the form goes blank and never does submit the form. It works fine in Adober reader 9.x

Glad it's not just me...
I had the same problem. Either it downloaded a patch and fixed itself, or this worked:
Go to Control Panel / Add / remove programs (in Control Panel / all control panel items / Programs and Features / Add remove programs)
Right click on Adobe Reader and select Change.
Choose Repair
This appears to have reinstalled the Core DLL file, and it seems to be working normally now.

Unable to start installing Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium on Mac OS 10.7.2

I have a copy of Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium, but when I insert the disc it doesn't boot an auto install function. The attached instructions didn't prove helpful as it most just guides me through auto installation. Any ideas? Thanks.

Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium Education Edition

I was given an uninstalled Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium Education Edition by a guy who purchased the wrong product. He purchased a PC version but he has a Mac. He was unable to install it and unable to return it because the package was opened. He did however get a little way into the www.adobe.com/go/edu-validate system. He apparently got far enough into that process to enter the temporary product code and connect it to his email address. When I enter the product code, it asks me for the original email address. I don't have the guy's contact info. Is there any way to reset this so I can install the product?

Chances are it will be up to this guy to manage any reset. It will probably require transfering the license to you formally.

I'm trying to install Adobe Creative Suit 6 Deisign and Web Premium.

Hi, I'm trying to install Adobe Creative Suit 6 Deisign and Web Premium. It is the Sudent and Teacher Licensing. I was able to get my serial numbers but when I loaded the disc into my Macbook, nothing is popping up for further direction of installation. How should I proceed to install the software?

Adobe Pro 9 will not open web form

when I go to aspacific web site and attempt to run a report which pops up as a web form.should be openning in Acrobat.Dream Weaver attempts to open the file.
What is wrong?

By "web form" do you mean an html < form> or are you talking about a .pdf that is opening wrong, or some other file type?

Can't get php and web form to function properly

Hello,
I have a html web form and a php code that works fine in my older website.
i just updated my site and need to transfer the code for the html form into a newly designed page.
I copied and pasted the form into the new page. The form come up and works properly except that it doesn't send the form to my email address.
Everything appears to be the same as my old page but obviously i don't have them linked properly. i've attached the code to both html files. thanks for any help. Owen

When i load the PHP,form page and thank you page im getting this error when i hit send.

Hey y'all i have a list of questions that i wanna ask about adobe. I planned to buy Adobe CS6 but not sure yet because of there is an Adobe CC now.
1. Do i need to have Adobe CS6 version first to get Adobe CC?
2. Btw what is Adobe CC? Is that only used to keep updating the adobe software or how? please explain me !
3. Do we have to pay monthly for Adobe CC?
4. How much is the cost of Adobe CS6 design and web premium?

it's a subscription model of leasing software. instead of buying software and owning it in perpetuity (or until it becomes obsolete), you pay a monthly or annual fee for the latest adobe software. as new versions become available, your subscription allows you to upgrade at no additional cost.

it doesn't make much sense to me to buy cs6 software. there are already two versions (cc and cc 2014) that are newer.

Good day. We have the license for Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium. Adobe Acrobat Pro is in installation. But when I installed it, Acrobat asked a license key, and did not want to work with our license key. Other apps work good. Can you help with it?

Lost Page on when you should use MVC vs when you should use web forms

I read a page last week. I think it was on MSDN. It was talking about the relative merits of MVC and web forms. However, unlike the page http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd381412.aspx,
which merely states the advantages and disadvantages of each format, this page went on to state something like:
You should use MVC:
when building web apps that do this
when you web app needs that
when you are doing the other
You should use web forms:
when building these other kinds of web app
when your web app does this other thing
when your web app does this.
Does anyone know the page to which I am referring?
(Oh and since when did it become impossible to paste anything into a question or reply block in MSDN forums. This makes it very difficult to paste in page links.)
Also I am not seeing an appropiate forum in my forums dropdown list. So if a moderator wants to move it to the right forum I would appreciate it.

The first link is not what I was looking for as it tells the difference between MVC and Web Forms but not which is better for what.
The second link does get more into which is better in certain situations but doesn't really analyze each type of project and specify that this is good for web forms and this is good for MVC. However, it does provide some ways to analyze if your
"situation" would be best served by using web forms and which would be best served by using MVC.
It specified that if reaction time is an issue then MVC is the answer. This is good because with our excruciatingly slow network we need apps that take inherantly as little time as possible to load.
I took another look at the link provided by gaurav. Turns out that link has a link to an article by Dino Espisito which actually has the statement that I referred to above i.e. if your app has a lot of busines data. After two years, that
is as much as I remember of that page. So in fact indirectly gaurav found the page I was looking for.
Too bad I did not re-read this link when I started the current project, though. One thing each of them says is that if your team (in this case me) has not had much experience in handling html elements directly then MVC is not a good fix for them.
For the last 6 months theis has been a major learning process in using JQuery, AJAX, and MVC to accomplish tasks which I've could have done using server controls and web forms with my eyes closed. Too bad they don't make MVC so that you can use server
controls with it.
However since this thread is so old and unlike "Whose Line is it Anyway?" the points
do matter. I am going to award the answer to gaurav. Thanks everyone for providing some very interesting links on MVC.

Group Tree issue, web form vs Win form?

Using Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010...
I am using the same report file for a Win form and web form version of the same utility program. The report was built bases on a view to the database, and both programs populate the report based on a dataset which has the same columns with restrictive where clauses, based on user input prior to populating the report.
On the Win Form version, when the user clicks a group on the Group Tree, the report nicely navigates to the appropriate section of the report. However... on the Web version, the ReportViewer makes a return trip to the database, refreshing the data with the entire view, overwriting the original content. In other words, out of lets say 50,000 possible records, if I ask for 50, they are displayed as I want, but in the web report, if I try and navigate to any of the 50, I get all 50,000 (an no navigation), an unwanted return to the database.
I am perplexed, as it is the same report file used by both versions.
I tried hiding the Group Tree panel (I don't need it), per instructions (CrystalReportViewer1.ToolPanelView = ToolPanelViewType.None;)
But that only closes the panel, and it is still available to the user to open (icon remaining). Is it possible to really make the Group Tree unavailable?

OK, since I'm new at this, where does the code go? I can't seem to resolve RAPPBasePage, and I admit that without more specific directions on the linked page, I'm more than a bit lost with this.

Dynamic row selection based on Page member selection in Planning web-form

Hello experts
I have requirement where, user dont want 10 webforms to enter 2 accounts line for various sparse members. Below is the dimension detail and web-form current design
Account - Dense
Period - Dense
Year - Sparse
Scenario - Sparse
Version - Sparse
Entity - Sparse
Product - Sparse (600 level 0 members)
Product dim has family1 as parent and 40 level 0 mem like that there are 10 family level 1 members, now to enter account member (only 2 member) for 6 years projection ( it means 12 periods and 6 years in column ) , i can build 10 web-forms with one web-form has one family level-0 mem in rows,
however my question, is how can i achieve this in one web-form, instead of 10 web-forms for 400 products ?
your help is greatly appreciated.

Im not sure there is any simple way to get dynamic row selection based on what is selected in the page.
If I were designing the form based on what you have stated, I would probably stick both Account and Year in the page, and the 400 products in rows. This would require the user to select the different combinations of Year / Account, but would mean only 12 columns (instead of 72).
Alternatively you could stick Account in rows too - meaning 800 rows, but less combinations to select in Page....all depends what is deemed acceptable to the user.
Probably other approaches that may be better than above (put Product in the Page for fun!!)
