Adobe X (10.1.4) Cannot use docs on screen

I have a laptop and another screen. When I open my documents in Adobe reader the first screen fills up with my open documents, when the document then moves onto the laptop screen I am unable to maximise, minimise or use the document.

I think the words "unable" and "cannot" should be banned from this forum - they have absolutely no meaning.
Please explain exactly what your are trying to do, and what happens when you try. We also don't know your OS.

If my iPhone 3GS turns on but cannot use the touch screen, could the Processor be the problem?

I recently dropped my iPhone 3GS but cannot use the touch screen. I took to a local repair shop and they tried replacing the digitizer and some other items but still could not get it to work. They advised that the Processor could be the problem. Is this true? If so, can the processor be replaced without losing data? Additionally, my phone has a lock code and when I try to connect it to my desktop to back up, it states that I need to enter my 4 digit pin first, which of course I cannot. Any workarounds here or am I SOL?

Hook the phone to a computer running iTunes and backup to the computer. Copy pictures off the phone manually to the computer.

"Cannot use 5 stars screen saver"

After upgrading to SL, when the screen goes into sleep, instead of photos I'd taken being shown as usual, I get a black screen with the words, "You cannot use the 5 stars screen saver with this version of Mac OS X. Please contact the vendor to get a newer version of the screen saver."
Any info on this out there?

Many screensavers that worked with Leopard no longer work with Snow Leopard due to the 32 vs. 64 bit issue. This is well documented on these forums.... if you do a search for screensavers you will pull up lots of information on it. Yours was probably written to run under 32 bit and that's why it won't work. You'll have to contact the screensaver's vendor to see if they have an updated version which works with SL. If the screensaver was Apple's but native to Leopard, it is probably subject to the same restriction. You'll have to either find a SL-compatible Apple screensaver or use a compatible third-party one.
As with any new OS release, it takes a while for compatible software to catch up

Cannot use my primary Screen since I plugged a second screen [SOLVED]

Hi folks,
I use a bumblebee configuration with intel + nvidia and I plugged in a second screen via HDMI. Even after restarting with out X!! The first screen remains black after booting. I think I might have to reconfigure the GRUB video config in order to reset the old settings. The Problem arises as following:
1. When I start, the GRUB shows me the Options, where I select Arch. (still on the primary screen)
2. Arch beginns to boot, I see messages such as "arch clean ... " (primary screen)
3. Primary Screen goes black
The only possibility to continue for me is to pluggin the HDMI second screen now, where I can see my Login (no X, only framebuffer)
From the second screen I can start X without problems. When I then go to the gnome settings it tells me that the primary screen should be running as a secondary screen since the external HDMI screen is primary now. But in fact the screen remains black!!
If you have any questions regarding to this please dont hesitate to raise them since this problem is holding me back from my work.
The problem was only the backlight dimming, which has an unusal behavior. Thanks #archlinux for the help.

I had the same problem (also HDMI), and while I dont remember how I set my xorg.conf up, what worked for me was just reading up on creating your own xorg.conf and then do everything from scratch. I use a VGA and HDMI. Tiring work, but now my monitor setup works flawlessly.

What happens when you try a hard reset? To do this press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Since I started using firefox, I have noticed in cafe world on Facebook that I can not use my entire screen. I have been looking for the tools menu to enlarge my screen but with no luck so far. please help

I have not run into this yet with my AA9 and Win7, but have been seeing posts about it. I would try a repair before I would do an uninstall and reinstall. You might also turn off javascript for a bit in case there has been some javascript that has caused problems (ok, making wild guesses). If you do decide to uninstall, be sure to deactivate first, uninstall, run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, and remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder. Then proceed to the reinstall and updates.
There is a question about whether being able to use it is correct, or you are just getting some message that is a spam that somehow got into your system (again, a possible javascript issue). Besides turning off javascript, you could also try isolating the javascripts to moving them to a temporary directory and seeing if one is causing the problem.

I get the error "Cannot use adobe reader to view pdf in your web browser. Reader will now exit. Please exit your browser and try again" in Windows 7 x32 and Windows 7 x64 with Acrobat pro 8.1.7. This happens when trying to open a PDF file in Internet explorer 8.0.760 or when I open a PDF in Quickbooks 2008. If I answer ok or cancel the file opens normally. If I open acrobat 8 first then the pdf files open as expected. I also tried a copy of Acrobat reader with no difference in the outcome. Since this happens on two different computers one fresh copy of windows 7 x64 the other an upgrade to windows 7 x32 and they used to work before the change to windows 7, I assume there is some kind of incompatibility with windows 7 and acrobat. Is this a known issue and will it be fixed in an update to acrobat in the near future?

tvandersluijs - I'm sorry if that screwed up your machine however:
1. What version of Adobe Reader are you using because as you can see the registry entry is for Adobe Reader 9, if ur using Adobe Reader 8 then u need to specify ur version as PAllens entry suggested - "E.g. "C:\Program files\Adobe\Acrobat [version]\Reader\AcroRd32.exe""
2. I've used this solution significantly because I have come across this specific issue for multiple users.
3. All the registry entry does is tell Windows what program to use by default to open/view PDF documents.
My intention wasn't to screw up ur machine or anybody elses as I said I've used this solution many times however what I've should gave is the disclaimer to backup ur registry before u make mods so u can revert back in case. Also the ony other thing I can think of is that this solution was for Windows XP using registry editior 5, I'm noticing that the title of this thread is Windows 7.

Your redemption code was used to acquire an activation code. The activation code is what you need to use when you want to reinstall/enable the software again. Check your Adobe account online to see if the number(s) can be found there.
