Adobe X opens only Outlook when attaching as email?

Is there a way to make Adobe X use a person's default mail client instead of only Outlook? Our organization uses primarily Thunderbird. When viewing a PDF and choosing File > Attach to Email (or clicking the envelope toolbar button), Abobe X attempts to use Outlook, which is either not available on our clients' PCs, or not configured for email at all.

This possible has to do with a wrong MAPS setting in your OS.
You have to configure which app uses the mailTo protocol per default.

In last 24 hrs my classic has decided to only switch on when plugged into mains outlet. Screen flickers when attached to laptop, had to restart computer to get it to switch on and sync. I have tried restoring to factorysettings before synching tunes back to it. Anyone out there who to can resolve this before I have to pay for repairs?

Acrobat 9.4 / Outlook 2011 – Attach to email not working

I am having a very annoying issue with the "Attach to email" feature in Acrobat 9.4. I keep getting the error below every time I try using this feature. I don't have the same problem if use/switch the email client Mail from Apple. Just wondering if this is an Adobe issue or a Microsoft issue.

Yes at one time Acrobat only supported Entourage, a ver obscure program called Mailsmith, and Eudora, and Apple Mail. (Eudora was taken over by Mozilla Or rather the R&D for it was handed over to Mozilla.)
Yet most everyone on apple side of equation use ThunderBird, SeaMonkey, Even Opera. the message I receive is That Seamonkey or Thunderbird doesn't know how to talk to your email clent. Yet in their specifications Mozilla products show they are Mbox compliant.
On PC side they will talk to just about any Email except Mozilla Products. Its as if they put in features yet don't support software that can handle the features so most people are stuck un able to use the fetaures. Why can't Adobe get along with other software vendors. Is there Software Devopment staff so out of touch or have such a low skill set That they don't know how to write code but those name applications?
I put a Bug report for support of Mozilla Products for uears do it about once or twice a year for last 10 years or so. Goes in one ear and out the other.

Acrobat 7.0 - internal error when attaching to email

I have Acrobat 7.0 on a Windows Server 2003 machine with Outlook 2003 and everytime I click the attach to email button I get an "An Internal Error has Occured". I want to be able to email the pdf directly from Adobe rather than save the file and attach it to an email.

The MAPI trail was the right one. Sever 2003 doesn't recommend the use of Outlook on Server 2003. There are some work arounds but they are too sophisticated for me. Thanks for your response.

Download Adobe Flash Opens only in Chrome

Please read carefully: The problem is that the download opens in Chrome automatically and I cannot find a way to open it in Firefox. It isn't a question of finding a way to download for all browsers, it is a problem with the fact that it opens in Chrome no matter what I have done so far.

The download: Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers) is an EXE file. That should open in Windows. If it opens in Chrome, you have file association problems in Windows.
1. Click on the folowing link for thehttp://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/10570-file-extensions-hide-show.html exe - Executable application files registry fix. This will download it's .reg file.
2. Save the .reg file to your desktop.
3. Right click on the downloaded .reg file, and click on Merge.
NOTE: If you wish to see what changes will be made by the REG file, then you can right click on the extracted REG file and click on Edit to see the default registry entries that will be added. REG files are just text files. The "Edit" function just opens them in Notepad.
Tip
If you do not see a Merge option when you right click on the REG file, then you will need to check in Default Programs to set the reg file extension to have it's Current Default program set as Registry Editor (C:\Windows\regedit.exe). Afterwards, try merging the REG file again.
4. If prompted, click on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK.
NOTE: If you are logged in a standard user account, then you will get a Cannot import type error. Just click on OK for it. This is normal since what cannot be imported can only be done so by an administrator account instead. It will still restore the default association of the file extension though.
5. When finished, you can delete the downloaded .zip or .reg files on the desktop if you like.
6. Log off and log on, or restart the computer to apply.

In Adobe froms - Sending PDF file as Attachment via email

I have to develop a <b>PDF form</b> and one more requirement; I have to change the mail Content (body) and the Subject line which should have attached PDF file.The (Transaction Code VA21) Has the sending the Email part. My Requirement is to <b>Change the Content (body) and the Subject</b>.
Requirement;
When customer request for the quote, quote document is created in SAP (Transaction Code VA21). Promised Price, quantity, date is communicated to customer via quote output. Customer may decide to place firm order with reference to quote.
So this form (PDF file and send via email) is used to communicate the AMAT quote to customer. The PDF file will be as a attachment in the mail. With change subject line, and content of the mail (Thanks for the Quote, Please dont reply to this mail). It also consists of applicable terms & condition of the quote.
Is it possible to handle the Content and the Subject of the mail in Program or Form layout (SFP). or it's Enhancement?

Why can't I open my iphoto when trying to email or useing wetransfer?

When I try to attach a photo through email (not using the app) or use WeTransfer for larger documents I cannot open iphoto like I used to. I recently updated my mac software to the newest one and then had to update iphoto to be compatable . The regular app works just like it used to but when I try to attach like i mentioned before it's just blank. None of my photo's or albums come up.

If you're referring to accessing the original image files via the Finder inside the library package that went out with iPhoto 7 (08). The library is not a package and access to the photos for use outside of iPhoto is thru iPhoto. Launch MS outlook with attachment in email

working on jdk 1.5 need to launch MS outlook with new email having attachment with it. here is the code i have written for the same. The code opens the MS outlook but i am not able to attach the file with the same. any ideas how to proceed for the same?

How can I open and read an attached in email which is .wmv?

When I receive a mail on my Ipad 3 with an attachment having the extension .wmv I just cannot open the attachment or the the operation of opening never ends. Which Apple software should be added to the ipad 3?

thank you very much. AZUL is perfect and I also tried WMV Player which is rather a nuissance and not at all recommeded (so slow, you will be carried ti the cimentary before your heirs get a new I-pad). However, WMV Player Wifi is again working well (i-pad3 and i-phone 4).

Photos are distorted when attached to emails

Sometimes, not always, when I attach photos (from my iPhoto library) to an email (dot mac account) I'm sending, the photos appear distorted. Pixelated.
When I use the photo browser to include the photos, or when I create my email from iPhoto (by sharing), the problem doesn't occur..... but then the recipients can only see them as embedded photos which does not work for their purpose. But when I include them as attachments so that the recipients can select and save them, I get the distortion problem. I have no idea how to fix it. Any suggestions? Thanks....

Thanks, but... when I select the photos in iPhoto, when I 'start' the email in iPhoto, the pics look perfect (but are embedded in the email rather than being attached).
If I include them as attachments to an email that I've already started, that's when I get the distortion. I did try making them plain text, but it doesn't seem to make any difference....
And it just seems to be on some photos, not every time, which is the strange thing..

Could you please let me know what Acrobat version are you using?
There might be some corrupt PDF files or you might need to repair Acrobat from the Help menu.
Have you installed the latest Acrobat updates? What email system are you using for sending emails?

Can't view all pics at sametime when attaching to email

Whenever I browse my finder to upload a pic it's a nightmare because I have to sit there clicking on each one to see what it is. Can I not see all pics at once like thumbnails on a PC or just like you can if you open iphoto?
If I set my view to thumbnails i just get the generic jpeg file thumbnail for each pic.

Hey I just noticed you have a 250 GB hard drive. Mine is only 80GB and it's full. Is it possible to just go down to your local Mac shop and buy more GB? Is it expensive? or should I just buy an external hard drive?

Adobe Reader crashing on iOS when submitting by email

I have problem with Adobe Reader on iOS devices.
Basically i have PDF document which has 1 text field, 1 submit button and 4 more blank pages.
Submit button is configured to submit by email.
When i type in something in text field and click on submit button the Adobe Reader just crashes (Sometimes it crashes when i try to type into text field).
I did some additional investigations on my side and seems like it is crashing if document has more than 3 pages.
If i remove few blank pages form my PDF it is working perfectly fine, but when i have > 3 pages it just keeps crashing.
I also tested same PDF document on my Android device and it works perfectly fine.
I use Adobe Reader 11.0.1 on my iPhone 4.
Any suggestions?

I tested my pdf on multiple devices, so it is not installation but i will try to reinstall.
Also i did more tests today and found that if ALL of my pages have fields on them, then PDF does not crash.
But if i have 1 page without any fields, it starts to crash.

Unable to open a .wav file attached to email.

When I click on an attached .wav file in an email it launches a player of some sort, appears to load the file, then displays the error "There was an error playing the file."
According to the tech. specs, .wav files are supposed to be compatible.
Anyone have any ideas?

I was able to play a WAV sent to me via email. I have Vonage and it sends voicemails to my email as WAV files; these files work fine for me.

Losing a field when attached to email!

If I open my report [HorseInfoOwner] in preview all fields show correctly , but when it is SendObject I am not showing one fileld qHorseNameSourceAddModifyAll.HorseNamed . The query"[qHorseNameSourceAddModifyAll] is showing the horses
names correctly. Also tbName [qHorseNameSourceAddModifyAll.HorseNamed ] is showing correctly in the Body of the email

I am really unclear about an attempt to send out an Access report in acFormatTXT
Not sure that is a viable concept but must admit to be being not real certain on this specific approach.
I would recommend that if one is sending text format (is that what it is? ...) then skip the report object entirely and work purely with a query.
For the report object I find in the real world that one must export it to PDF format in order to retain the report object layout.
