Adobe X Standard cannot print DIN A1

Hello together,
we migrate from Windows XP to Windows 7 and Acrobat X Standard. After that we cannot print bigger than DIN A3. Someone have an idea?
regards
Sebastian

Do you mean creating a PDF by printing to the Adobe PDF Printer or printing to a physical printer?

  • Installed Adobe Reader X Cannot print. All Fixes futile!

Have OS Windows XP Installed Adobe Reader X and cannot print. Documents open properly and can be manipulated according to their limitations except I cannot print. Printer is HP Officejet 4500 Wireless. Have converted back to hard connection for this process. Connection not an issue. Everything else except the pdfs will print normally. Printing a pdf elicits no response from the printer. Does not show in queue. Hard attached another older HP printer. It does respond by pulling blank paper thru machine. Have full warranty on HP printer and have been thru detailed process with them. Does not appear to be a printer issue. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Tried all the same fixes. Still does not work. Connected to old printer.
Printer responded, but did not print.

  • Adobe X Standard PDF printing problems

OK, this is a weird one.  I use Parallels to run my Windows applications, one of which is Adobe X Standard.  Anytime I print an Adobe PDF from a Windows based application, I get an error message that reads:
"[Name of my document] could not be handled because Numbers cannot open files in the "PDF Document" format."
And then, Mac's Numbers is automatically opened, without any trigger by me.
Thoughts, anyone?  Your help would be most appreciated.

It seems that your document is wrongly linked to an application
Select its icon then press cmd + I
You will get the info window.
I guess that in the local menu "Open With" you will see "Numbers" when it would be "Preview" or "Adobe Reader" or "Skim" or …
Navigate among the displayed list of apps, select the correct one.
    Click the button "Apply All".

  • Adobe Acrobat Standard XI print issue

When opening a PDF in internet explorer, adobe acrobat won’t read pre chosen print driver settings.
When using acrobat stand alone, not in internet explorer, it does read the print settings.
Specifically the issue is you set up print driver as single sided print under finishing.
Only when you open PDF in IE, does acrobat choose 2 sided, it doesn’t read your single side setting under finishing.
This does not happen for adobe reader by itself, with no acrobat. If acrobat is installed in addition to adobe reader, it still happens for acrobat.
    Windows 7 64bit Enterprise
    Internet Explorer - 10.0.9200.16897
    Adobe Reader XI - 11.0.3
Adobe Acrobat Standard XI - 11.0.0 also tried update to 11.0.09

    Try this KB document:
Serial dialog box appears | Printing | Version 11.0.01

  • Adobe X Standard - cannot copy

Since having Adobe X Standard installed, I cannot copy and paste text or images within the adobe document. The previous version of Adobe Writer worked ok. Any suggestions?

It is probably the selection of the tool you are using. However, editing PDFs is never a good idea and should generally only be done as a last resort. You should edit the original applications.

  • After Installing Acrobat X Standard, Cannot print from another Windows Program

I am having a strange problem.  Once I installed Acrobat X Standard, another Windows based program stopped printing.  It now comes up with a usp10.dll error, but most of the time it just crashes the program.  Tried reinstalling the program and no luck.  The error points at a Helvetica Font being the culprit that was installed with Acrobat.  I am not sure how to clear this up.
    Thanks

I have not removed it.  One of the things I did try was going into the Registry and to FontSubstitutions and change the Helv to Helv,186 or something like that.

  • Upgraded from xp to windows 8.1. I reinstalled office 2007 and Adobe CS3. Cannot print to pdf.

I recently upgraded from Windows XP PRO  to Windows 8.1 64 bit professionsal. I reinstalled Microsoft Office 2007 Professional and Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium.
Office no longer prints to PDF, and Acrobat does not open Office documents. I did extract the AdobePDF.dll_64 from the data.cab file, changed the name to AdobePDF.dll and used it in the install of Acrobat 8.0.
Is there a solution to this problem?
    Thanks for any help.
    Clay

  • When I receive an email with an Adobe attachment I cannot print it or save it as a .pdf

Something is wrong with my Adobe program.  If I open a .pdf attachment to an email it open fine , but if I try to print it it instead directs me to save it byut when it saves it saves it in some kind of photon format that my computer does not recognize.

When you go to print, look for the option PRINT TO FILE (it might be on that screen, or you might have to click Advanced or something else). Turn it off.

  • Adobe X Standard cannot load/create EuroRoman.ttf font after file has been created using AutoCAD LT 2015. File was loaded and refereneced with Distiller X. Font has been installed to Win7

Need suggestion on how to get Adobe X to create/load the font. Others in the office can create the same Adobe file with no issues. Help please.

You have the required Xorg drivers and those errors appear to be expected (https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/4789). As a matter of fact, Xorg is terminating successfully. Just to make sure, is your ~/.xinitrc setup correctly?

  • CANNOT PRINT FROM ADOBE 8.1.2 PDF FILE TO OLIVETTI ANYWAY

Hi I have had this problem before wiht a laserjet printer and cannot remember how I have solved it.
I am on a Macbook pro running leopard OS 10.5.2 and trying to print a standard pdf from Adobe Acrobat Professional Reader 8.1.2 to an olivetti anyway. I have no other probs printing, and can print this same pdf through preview, but the fonts default.
It goes through as if it is printing then in the printer set up it just stops itself and won't print.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers

I did download new drivers, but the situation gets even more interesting. It is only one file I can't print. I print .pdf files from a particular website quite often. When I started having problems with this one file - I just got stuck there. Well, I went to some of the other "new" pdf files and was able to print those. I still cannot print one particular page. I have tried downloading the file to my hard drive but still could not print. I have decided there is some code in this particular file that my printer cannot compute. I did manage to get it printed in B/W on an HP laser printer. Just is a weird glitch. Thanks for responding.

  • Adobe Acrobat Standard v 8 works, but print-to-PDF does not

I've been trying to migrate my main computer usage from an XP desktop to a Windows 7 laptop. I've had Acrobat Standard v 8 on both computers for years but have rarely used the laptop. (I mostly used the laptop as a dumb terminal to reach through the internet to my desktop.) Now I'm determined to make the laptop into my daily WORKING computer.
I see that Acrobat Standard works on the laptop (opens files, deletes pages, etc.) but I cannot print anything to PDF. When I try to print (from Notepad, Word, or anything) the "Adobe PDF" printer shows as my default printer. But nothing happens. It doesn't ask for a filename and the printer window (?) shows error on printing.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat Standard 8 in January 2013 when it had stopped working altogether (opening a PDF would flash open then close/crash) which was probably caused by "a friend" installing an unlicensed (or wrongly licensed) version of Microsoft Office 2010. I uninstalled all of that mush and put a new version of Office on (2013, licensed). I don't recall if the print-to-PDF has worked since; but I suspect not.
Does anyone know how to fix it?
I'm afraid to uninstall and reinstall the whole Acrobat again. Someone once told me that you can only re-activate your license so many times and then one day it won't reactivate. And since my version is so old and has been reinstalled after virus cleanups (reformatting system disks), I don't know if Tech Support will fix that sort of activation problem. That last thing I want to do is use new software, or have to go to a non-Adobe PDF editor when I already have software paid for. And yes, I have the original Acrobat Standard v 8 CDs.

    1. I don't care about the button in Word; just trying to get a PRINT-TO-PDF function going.
    2. The CD installed 8.0.0 even though I have 8.1.4 on my other computer (the XP desktop I'm trying to make obsolete). I will try to find upgrade downloads somewhere.
    3. I tried to use the original CD and do a "Repair" option (not remove nor install). It went through the motions and would come up with an error. So I googled and found the article titled "Error "The file AdobePDF.dll is needed" | CS3 | 64-bit Windows" (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-file-adobepdf-dll-needed.html) and applied the directions for Windows 7 64-bit version (which my laptop is), but the fix didn't work.
Still researching, and #2 above looks like the best next course of action.

  • I cannot print from Adobe on My Mac

I have tried all I know to do, but I cannot print from Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 from my Mac running Mac OSX - 10.5.7.  I have two different printers - a Cannon MF4150 & an HP Color Laserjet 2550.  When I click print, the preview is not available and it just goes into queue and never prints.  I am also running VMware Fusion -- I cannot get it to print from the Windows XP virutal machine either.  I am using just the standard Adobe Reader 9 in the Windows side.  I don't know what could possibly be wrong.  The Windows XP side is printing through a sharing mode with the mac side.  Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

I've tried that multiple times as well as resetting the printers themselves.  I've deleted and re-added the drivers as well.  Any other suggestions?

  • Cannot Print with Acrobat Standard X

One of my clients is running ACROBAT X Standard on Windowes 7 64-bit.. She cannot print any PDF using Acrobat to any printer. Print jobs never reach the queue. As a work around she muct convert to Word.
Printing as image does not help.
Saving a copy does not help.
I have applied al updates, repaired and completely removed and re-installed the product but nothing helps.
Also, the Printer Properties button and Page Setup buttons do not work. They are not disabled (greyed out), they just don't launch these functions.
    I appreciate any help!

created by Sara.Forsberg in Acrobat Reader - View the full discussionHi verlaa73828618, It sounds, then, that you can't even open Adobe Reader. Is that correct? What version of Reader are you currently using (and are you on Mac OS or Windows)? Have you tried reinstalling Reader? Best,Sara If the reply above answers your question, please take a moment to mark this answer as correct by visiting: https://forums.adobe.com/message/7446005#7446005 and clicking ‘Correct’ below the answer Replies to this message go to everyone subscribed to this thread, not directly to the person who posted the message.
