Adobe XI Pro install wants Safari closed although it already is

Running OS-X Mavericks 10.9.3 and trying to install Adobe XI Pro from Creative Cloud. Safari is closed as an app. The install process requests that Safari be closed of fit to continue anyway.
The Safari application is closed and no other users are running on the Mac. I presume some other app or process needs to be closed, but not sure which. Any guidance?
I have seen some references to Notifications, but nothing specific and there does not appear to be any references on the Adobe support site.

Tried this. The problem is with applications that start automatically at startup.
I am using SugarSync and it appears that it causes the problem. Quitting SugarSync and re-ruinning install fixes the problem.
I had the a similar problem installing other Adobe apps, though the message was different. In those cases quitting SugarSync was also the answer, though I am not sure why.

Adobe X Pro install

Hi. Due to a HDD issue I have just rebuilt my PC using Win7/64 (was using Win7/32) and am going through the list of reinstalls. I have CS5.5 Design Premium downloaded and written to DVD. It has been unpacked and I've gone through the install and everything installed ok apart from Adobe X Pro. This failed with the message below. It seems to suggest that there might be an issue with Adobe running on a 64bit OS which I very much doubt is correct. Can anybody suggest a solution as I use Adobe frequently.

Yes the CC includes Acrobat. I just had my CC subscription renewal checked when I opened Acrobat this AM.

If all other applications are running fine, than try the Acrobat cleaner tool to remove any leftover files from this link( http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html ) and than try to Install Acrobat XI Pro on your computer.

Adobe connect pro: Install SQL Server step skips

Hi Everyone.
I am trying to install and configue Adobe Connect 7.5 and I have problems doing so.
The installer simply skips the DB installation steps and resumes the final Connect Pro installation. Due to this I am unable to set the SQL Server DB user and password that are prompted for, in the initial set up phase (this page pops up after the successful installation of Adobe Connect).
Effectively, I am unable to use Connect Pro even though the installation is successful.
Can you kindly help here? I am at my wits end.

There are 2 steps to installing the connect server; installing the system files and then the configuration. Its the configurations step (which is after the installation step) where you put the details of where the db is and the db account. Are you jumping straight to the second step when you're trying to instal?

Acrobat 9 Pro install want Win Explorer and Installer to stop

During an install of Acrobat 9 Pro on a Win7 laptop there's a message that Windows Explorer and Windows Installer are running and thus preventing installation of their components of Acrobat. Reboots and disabling all start up programs doesn't fix it. Finally ignored the warning and the rest of the install appears to have gone OK.
Any idea what's happening and what I may have lost by ignoring the warning?

1. Draw your button (a rectangle, circle, your graphic)
2. Select it and choose Modify> Convert to symbol

4. Give it an instance name on the "Properties" window, like my_btn
5. Create a new layer and place your cursor on the first frame for the layer you just created

Hi There i am new to Adobe and Adobe Premier Pro - I want to edit GoPro videos, i have Adobe Creative Cloud and i have installed Premiere Pro CS6, where do i find the software so that i can start editing, the only thing on my desktop is Adobe Creative Cloud?

Adobe Acrobat Pro in Windows 7 w/ Autocad in XP Mode- not working

I'm running Autocad Arch Desktop (ADT) in Windows XP Mode within Windows 7, and have Adobe Acrobat Pro installed in Windows 7. Unfortunately, no "Adobe PDF" pulldown was created within ADT once Adobe Pro was installed, and there isn't any sign of Adobe in ADT (normally, Adobe automatically installs pulldowns within ADT once installed). Adobe and ADT function normally otherwise. Does anyone know how to get Adobe Acrobat Pro in Windows 7 to recognize and work with ADT in Windows XP Mode?

Can you tell me how to set the defaults to Courier 10pt font? I tried select all and it's grayed out, but that was after the
fact. Where are the original default presets?

Font issues on Adobe Acrobat Pro

I am running OS X 10.9.4 (mavericks) on my iMac and have Adobe Acrobat Pro installed on this computer. The font we use is an older font that doesn't come pre-installed on Mac's anymore (Blair Md medium ITC-TT). I downloaded and installed the font to font books, and it seems to work okay on Word but doesn't work on Adobe Acrobat. When I convert word documents to PDF, the font changes and there is no way for me to change it back.
How can I fix this problem? Thanks!

Adobe X Pro Text Editing bug

Hi, i have adobe x pro installed on my laptop that use for editing multiple text document. recently i noticed that after deleting text within my pdf document. the text disappear but each time you print the document on a printer. the text reappear. What could be the cause of this problem?

There is also the question of what you mean by editing. Also, when you complete your editing process you should use Save As to save the document and remove the junk that is no longer needed. If you just do a Save, everything stays there.
