Download, then install the software from https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html
Alternatively download the offline installer from http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-acrobat-xi-pro-standard-reader-direct-download-links.html - make sure you follow the Very Important Instructions on that page.
If you still have problems, provide some details (error messages).

  • Adobe Acrobat X Standard (Windows,English)

I purchased Acrobat X yesterday for download from the site.  The application downloaded however it will not install.  I receive an error message saying that I do not have enough space for the installation.  This should absolutely not be true.
I did notice in the system requirements that it calls for Windows XP and I am running Windows Vista.
How can I resolve this problem?

    Hi,
Win Vista is supported for Acrobat X
    1. May I know how much space do you have on the C : drive ?
    2. Are you trying to install on C: or any other drive ?
You may also try deleting the temp files. For this follow this :
    1. click on start
    2. type %temp% in the search area
    3. hit enter
    4. clear everything from that folder
    5. empty recycle bin
    6. try installing it again, make sure you should have 1.1 GB of available hard disk space as per system requirements : http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatstandard/tech-specs.html
    Thanks,

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard version in Windows 8.1 and when I try to create a .pdf file, I receive the following error message "Acrobat could not open "file name.log" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged.  To create a PDF document, go to the source application then print the document to .pdf"  I am going to the source application and printing the document to .pdf yet it's saving the file as a .log file.  After reinstalling the software, I initially didn't encounter this problem but on my second and third attempts to convert files to .pdf format, this error message reappeared.  How do I resolve this problem?

I have a similar problem which i did not have before...and it exists only in some powerpoint files which i want to print as a pdf file...and i get the same message as above.
the log says the bellow details...what's the problem and how can i resolve it? thanks.

  • How to deactivate  ADOBE ACROBAT 9 STANDARD LICENCE ON PC FOR REINSTALLATION OF WINDOWS

I am having Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard installed in my Dell Inspiron 2310 pc.  Due to some issue, Dell advice me to take up back up of all, for windows reinstallation. I am having window 7- 64 bit. I am having  Original CD with product Key number with me, valid for 2 pc, although using just one. Please advice how to do

    Hello yogeshjain,
You might need to choose 'Deactivate' option under Acrobat Help menu.
Once you are done with Windows reinstallation, you can again activate Acrobat with the registered serial number.
For more details, you can simply refer:
    Activation & Deactivation Help
    Hope it helps.

  • I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard Serial No. and would like to upgrade to the Microsoft Windows 8 and the Office Professional Edition 2013.

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard [serial number removed by moderator] and would like to upgrade to the Microsoft Windows 8 and the Office Professional Edition 2013.

    Hi w james,
As you mentioned that you are upgrading your Operating System to Windows 8 and MS Office to MS Office Professional 2013, please note that Adobe Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Windows 8 and MS Office 2013. You need to upgrade to Adobe Acrobat XI as it is fully compatible with Windows 8 and MS Office 2013.

  • Problems with Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard on Windows 7

used to have this on my Window XP; now Windows 7 computer and tried to download Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. It not only does not work, I cannot use the Adobe Acrobate Reader which was already on the computer. Any help would be appreciated.

My guess is that you have a 64-bit machine (you did not mention). In that case, you need to do the updates for proper operation. If you can open Acrobat, the updates can be done from the Help menu. If you can not, then you will need to download them from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=10&platform=Windows. Download the newest first and check which prior update is needed and work back to your current version (maybe 9.0.0). Then do the updates and reboot after the last update.
With a reinstall it is a good idea to delete the Acrobat folder prior to reinstalling. In addition, disable anti-virus of the update installation.

  • Adobe Acrobat XI Standard for Windows upgrade to Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for OS X

I have changed the platforms, from win to mac, and Adobe Acrobat is required for my work. I own Adobe Acrobat XI Standard for Windows and I was interested if I could change the platform to OS X, but unfortuantelly XI Standard is not available for mac. Also, I could not find a way on Adobe.com site to upgrade XI Standard to XI Pro and then change the platform.
    Please advise.

I believe Adobe have been known to deal with "crossgrades" before, but you would need to contact sales in person to deal with this.

I don't believe there is any download available for Standard versions that old, but if you have a disc copy you can try using that.

  • Unable to Open Multiple Windows  Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard and recently am unable to open multiple documents at one time without an error occurring and Adobe shutting down.  I use multiple screens and want one doc open while I review or compare with another doc.  It is happening on two machines at my home both running Windows 8.1.  Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Ankit,
Thank you for your advice, but Im still having problems.
Back to the OP.  To avoid the threads getting confused, I suggest the other user starts a new one?
I have tried ensuring that PDFs are automatically opened by Adobe.  I used the path you suggested.  However, I'm still having the same problem.
When I went to do this, Adobe was listed in the "recommended" list of products with which to open PDF files.  However, I ignored this and followed your guidance.  Once I had done, nothing happened (i.e. Adobe icon was not added to the 'Other products' list below the 'Recommended').
To me, this speaks of either a bad installation or bad association in which something is causing Adobe not to recognise itself.
    What else can you advise?
Is there, for instance, a way to have a clean removal of Adobe, and then reinstall?  I don't even know if this will work.

  • I apparently purchased a Windows version of Adobe Acrobat XI Standard But I need a Mac Version.

I apparently purchased a Windows version of Adobe Acrobat XI Standard But I need a Mac Version. I inquired of the Adobe Community about how to do it. The person who responded said I should download a trial Mac version. I couldn't get this to happen. That was a few weeks ago. I tried again tonight. Now it says my trial period ended. Help!

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard in Windows 8

My version of Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard has installed in Windows 8 but will not make pdf files from Microsoft Office files.  Most other operations are working fine.
Is there a fix for this?

    Hi davidbetts,
I am sorry, but Acrobat 8 is not supported on Windows 8.
    Refer: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-acrobat-family-prod ucts.html
Even if it installs on your machine, you might not be able to access all features of Acrobat
Also, refer the following KB doc to check compatibility of Adobe PDFMaker with your MS Office applications:
Compatible web browsers and PDFMaker applications
I would suggest you to purchase subscription for the latest version of Acrobat i.e. 11.0.10 and access its full functionality.
    Hope this information helps.

  • The "File Edit View Window Help" menu disappears after opening Adobe Acrobat X Standard

After installing Adobe Acrobat X Standard, when I run the program the "File Edit View Window Help" menu is visible for only a brief second then disappears.  I tried to press F11 or other functions keys to bring it back.  I also installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro which I also have a license for and it would do the exact same thing. Reinstalling the programs did not seem to resolve the problem.  Is there an issue inside the registry?

Thank you for your comment.  However, F9 does not seem to work.
When I press F9, the menu bar appears but the words "File Edit View Window Help" are still missing.
When I press F9 again the menu bar will close.
This is a screen capture before the words "File Edit View Window Help" disappear.  After only about a second they are gone.
