ADR LE 2.5 Page rotation and Re-flow

Hi, can someone kindly confirm on the Samsung Omnina 2 (i8000 running Windows Mobile 6.1) whether the pre-installed Adobe Reader LE 2.5 supports page rotation and text re-flow ?  and if not, what is needed to support these features ?
How and where does one upgrade Adobe Reader LE 2.5 ?
Thanks very much.

Big fan of adobe - however adobe reader le 2.5 on windows mobile 6.1 and 6.5 has done my head in. No page rotation, no reflow and as per your problem not opening all files. I have all these problems on my Omnia II and there are no solutions out there that work apart from installing the adobe reader for PPC which quite frankly is ugly and shite.
FIX - Install foxit reader for windows mobile from www.foxitsoftware.com sorts all the above problems

  • Page rotation and signature field

    Hello,
I'm requesting some help because I spent too much time comparing my PDFs to see where I am wrong.
I got a document with a clockwise rotation of 90 degrees for every pages. The conforming readers apply the
rotation to display the content in a readable fashion.
So, when I sign the document (with a visible signature field), the signature visual representation is rotated. I got back to ISO 32000-1
and discovered the MK dictionary of widget annotations (table 188).
Here is an example of the widget annotations I'm producing now:
    5651 0 obj
    <</MK <</R 90>>/F 4/Type /Annot/Subtype /Widget/Rect [100.0 475.0 356.0 731.0 ]/FT /Sig/DR <<>>/T (Sign5929838)/V 5649 0 R/AP <</N 5661 0 R>>/P 5629 0 R>>
    endobj
But the signature representation is not correctly aligned.
I compared to what Acrobat 8 Professional is doing. Until now, I found no differences, but those signatures are correctly aligned.
    5636 0 obj
    <</Rect[39.8122 525.182 153.319 702.22]/Subtype/Widget/F 132/P 5634 0 R/T(Signature2)/V 5660 0 R/DA(/MyriadPro-Regular 0 Tf 0 Tz 0 g)/FT/Sig/Type/Annot/MK<</R 90>>/AP<</N 5637 0 R>>>>
    endobj
(Acrobat is re-ordering objects before saving the file)
Well, I think I need some fresh look to understand when I went wrong.
    Here are the complete files:
    http://www.terafiles.net/v-121441.html (by me)
    http://www.terafiles.net/v-121442.html (by Acrobat)

Ok, I finally found out what's going on backstage.
The /R entry of the MK dictionary is just some informative statement. It does not make the PDF reader tilt the signature field.
Acrobat modifies the current transformation matrice to do so.
It's sad it's not clearly stated in the ISO standard...

  • How do I re-order pages or rotate and save?

My wife and I get faxes electronically and sometimes the person on the other end puts them in the fax machine upside down, so all the pages need to be rotated 360 degrees.  Also, we want to remove the cover page before we save the PDF document and it'd be nice to re-order a few pages that the sender got in the wrong order.
When we got our first fax, we installed Adobe Reader 7.0 (now 9.1), and although it has a rotate capability, we can't seem to figure out how to save it correctly so it's rotated correctly the next time we view it.  We also can't seem to figure out how to remove a page or re-order pages.
How do you do this with the reader?  Seems like a common thing to need.
Since Adobe doesn't appear to have anyone to talk with in sales (tried to call, but after over an hour on hold, we gave up) to find out how to do this, or if there an add-on, or if there another product from Adobe that does this, or if Adobe is even the best product to solve our issue (the faxes can be in Image format or PDF, so maybe Image is a better solution?) can anyone on this forum help?
We can't afford to spend hundreds of dollars, but if there is an add-on for $29.99 or something, we could probably swing that to solve this problem.
If Adobe doesn't make a product that can rotate and save, re-order a few pages occasionally, or remove a page, is there another company that makes such a product that is affordable?
    Thanks for any/all input,
    Randy

Thank you for your reply.  Darn, I was hoping it was in there someplace... especially being able to re-order pages, remove a cover page, simple stuff like that.  While I've been on hold for 2.5+ hours for support from Adobe, I searched through their products, etc... it appears Acrobat would do what we want, but it's aweful expensive for what we need, to simply rotate, remove a cover page, and re-order a few pages.  Acrobat appears to be a product for making all sorts of PDF files, converting, and colaboration, none of which we need.
Does anyone know if the price of $299 is per PC?  (If so, then it's way out of our reach)  My wife and I each have a home PC and each have a laptop, we are a very small company.  If I was to splurge the big money and buy acrobat, I'd want to install it on our 4 PC's, not just one.
Thanks for any info... doesn't appear Adobe has Sales people or dept... so I don't know where else to get this info... now it's been almost 3 hours on hold, wonder if this is really a support number or just a music channel!  Haha!
Thanks again for your help... I'm going to search and see if there is a cheaper verson of a PDF product that will do the simple stuff we need without paying for all the stuff we don't need.
Randy (Who's ear is about to fall off listening to Adobe music channel called support)  ;-)

You need to do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B.
    Restart phone
    Reset phone
Restore in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware failure in the phone that needs evaluation by Apple.

  • Tools - Pages - Rotate Acrobat X

I can rotate a scanned document into PDF using the View pulldown menu or right clicking on the document and clicking rotate clockwise.  However, if I click on tools, then pages, then rotate, nothing will happen after I click OK.  Can anyone help?  I am using Acrobat X with Windows 7 x64.
    Thank you.

    Hi Haitimes,
I can understand your concern. You can rotate all or selected pages in a document. Rotation is based on 90° increments. You can rotate pages using the rotate tools in the Page Thumbnails pane or using the Rotate option (described below).
    Choose Tools > Organize Pages.
The Organize Pages toolset is displayed in the secondary toolbar.
The Organize Pages toolset in the secondary toolbar.
In the secondary toolbar, specify the page range on which you want to apply the rotation.
You can choose Even Pages, Odd Pages, Landscape Pages, Portrait Pages, All Pages, or enter the page number you want to perform the operation on.
After specifying the page range, for Direction, select the counterclockwise 90 Degrees or clockwise 90 Degrees .
You can also apply the page rotation on a specific page by clicking the counterclockwise or clockwise rotation buttons displayed in the page thumbnail view.

*Note : To temporarily change your view of the page, choose View > Rotate View > Clockwise or Counterclockwise. The original page orientation is restored the next time you open the PDF.
In case if you still have any query please let us know, we will be more than happy to help you.

  • Upside down pdf file. Rotated and save but still upsided.  How to solve this problem?

I received a pdf file that is upside down. Rotated and saved.  When I open the file, it is still upsided.  How to solve this problem?

    Hi,
I think you are rotating the PDFs from View and rotate. it would only change the current View of the PDF.
Kindly click on Tools on the right hand side > Pages > Rotate. then save the PDF.
Let me know if it helps.

  • I am making a multiple page document and need some pages to be landscape and others to be portrait.  How can I do this?

I am making a multiple page document and need some pages to be landscape and others to be portrait.  How can I do this?

In pages you can only have one orientation of the Page. You have to rotate the content on the pages that you want horizontal. Save the document in Pages format so you'll have a original version to work on. Then Export to or Print to PDF and open the document in Preview. Here you can rotate the pages to horizontal viewing.

just purchased and installed HTML5 Banner Rotator and Jquery Responsive manu.  I need help or video tutorials on how to use these add-on in my dreamweave cc 2014 website. eg how do I adjust it to fit in my site

Check with the developer's documents for your addons/extensions.  Failing that, we would need you to upload your test page and dependent files to a public web space you control and post the URL here so we can take a look at it.  Anything less is all guesswork.

  • MSWord 11x17 landscape pages rotate 90 deg counterclockwise when pdf'ed

    Greetings,
    Adobe conversion issues...MSWord-to-pdf:
    1. Adobe 7 and Adobe 9 rotates the odd numbered 11x17 pages from landscape to portrait during conversion.
    2. Additionally, the odd pages in the MSWord file's "PageSetup > Paper" tab  now say it's "Tabloid" where we originally selected 11x17.
    3. So, adobe conversion is changing the settings within the MSWord doc.
Our department routinely creates documentation with mixed page sizes and layout; done it for many years without flaw.  Typically we create 8.5x11 booklets with foldout 11x17 pages at the end.  Since the first of June, both versions of Adobe have exhibited this issue.
    Help!
    John

    >Since the first of June
OK... what changed?  What updates did you apply?
    General Acrobat Problem Steps
If you are having problems creating a PDF, there are two steps you should do FIRST
Go to the appropriate vendor web site and apply all updates to the program you are using (several recent messages have concerned problems with MS Office conversion, with the response that different versions of Office have different BUGS that must be fixed by a download from Microsoft - and MS Office products are not the only ones which may, from time to time, need to be updated to work properly)
Apply all updates IN NUMBER ORDER
    Acrobat Update http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows
Also, for Office 2007, see if this Microsoft product will work for you

  • Running AppleScript with Adobe Acrobat to rotate and crop file.

I constantly receive PDF files from a third party service provider that I always have to ROTATE and CROP in order to fit perfectly into labels that are perforated.
The Label sheets are 8-up (2 x 4). If I print it as is, they DON'T fall where they supposed to. I can't get the trird party service provider to alter the way they supply the PDF files (they just not helpful). I thought it is still easier for me to do the neccesary adjustments.
What I want to do is:
    (1) rotate the document (multi-page PDF) 180 deg
    (2) crop leading edge 3mm.
    (3) if possible, I want it to be able to watch a folder and do this automatically as PDFs are dropped into a defined folder (can be set permananetly) and save OVER the old file.
I know AppleScript can do this (I think), but I don't have the expertise on AppleScript to write the commands.
    Can anyone help?
I am using Mountain Lion & Acrobat 8.

Thanks for the reply. I can still open the file in excel and I understand that I can redirect the file to open in another program. But it doesn't solve my problem that when I email the file to someone else it tries to open the file as a pdf (which it basically isn't) and gives the error message that its an unsupported file type. What I am really looking for is a way to stop it from saving an excel file as an adobe file even when I choose the file format as an excel workbook when I save it.

  • Adding javascript to page open and page close in acrobat 8.1.2

Reading the Acrobat Javascript Object Specification on page 22 it says that you can add javascript to the "page open" and "page close" events of a document.
It then says that under the menu "Document -> Set page action" you can add scripts for those events
I am using Acrobat 8.1.2 and under the document menu there is no "Set page action". And there is nowhere where I can find any "set page action" menu...
    whats the deal?
How can i set the page open and page close events in acrobat professional 8.1.2?????????????
    Marc

    - open the Navigation Panel 'Pages'
    - select the page and open the page properties
    - in the actions tab you can set the page actions

Same problem here (no graphics in header or footer) and the problem has been reported months ago. It is another bug/feature lost when Apple moves from 09 to the iCloud-compatible versions.  Complain to Apple, you may have better chance than me and they may finally listen to their users....

  • Pages 08 and Pages 09 compatability

My older Mac has Pages 08 and is connected to my printer. My newer Mac has Pages 09. How can I use Pages 09 and then get it to print from my older computer. It tells me that 09 and 08 are not compatable. Is there a download to update my Pages 08 into Pages 09?

Nope, enabling Printer Sharing just opens the Printing ports in the firewall locally.

  • Master Page Header and Footer in Page Viewer Web Part

    Hi.
I created a View in Pages Library to view specific folders.
After that i added one Page Viewer web part to one of the aspx page.
There in the Page Viewer web part properties Link i have provided the url of the view.
It is displaying the folders but at the same time it is displaying the master page header and footer inside the web part.
Now i need to display the folders alone inside the Page Viewer web part.
Please let me know how to exclude the master page header and footer inside the Page Viewer web part?
    Regards,
    Sudheer
    Thanks & Regards, Sudheer

I think that is the default behavior of the page viewer webpart.
In the page viewer web part, your just enter the url of the website. So that is treated as webpage and it is displaying as per page.
    http://meritsolutions.com/meritmatters/archives/576-Displaying-a-File,-Folder-or-Web-Page-in-the-Page-Viewer-Web-Part.html
If you want to display a folder, type in a network path to that folder under Link and the folder content will be displayed.
Find the more details about page viewer webpart in msdn
