ADR runs ahead of schedule

We configured ADR to deploy windows updates the Third Monday every three months. It works the first few times. The schedule was right on target. However the last six months or so, the ADR ran unexpectedly one more than it had been scheduled. We had one scheduled
on 10/21/2013 but there was another one ran on 10/6/2013. So we have two updates within two weeks. There was one scheduled on April 21 2014 but another one started on 3/10/2014. The ADR seems running not according to our three months schedule.
I called Microsoft Tech Support as I have EA license. The support engineer told me that there is no way the ADR will run out of the scheduled time unless someone ran the ADR manually.
Because it ran couple times unexpectedly, we were thinking the same thing. So couple months ago we limited to only three people to access sccm console. All three of us paid special attention not to touch the ADR at all but still the ADR ran on 3/10. Since
it is only an EA support which only support a break and fix. They closed the case on me as the ADR is working.
Just wonder if anyone experienced this type of sccm behavior before? Is there a way to check who actually is executing the ADR schedule? Automatically or manually? Which log I can look into for this type of record. I looked at the ruleengine.log but didn't
find too much information.
Also is there a powershell script I can execute to see how many ADR are actually there? From the GUI, I can see there is one ADR but not sure if there is any phantom ADR that we can only see with powershell. As we may deleted some test ADR before but not
sure if they are really deleted.

The evalation schedule is "Occur the Third Monday of every 3 months effective 4/14/2013 10:05am.
The Deployment schedule is "Time based on Client local time"' "Software Available - Asap"; Installation deadline "specific time 14 days"

    I'm using SyncToy 2.1 to keep two WIN7 computers and a Synology DS414j NAS drive in sync. I have several folder pairs configured, some between the two PC's and three between one PC and the NAS drive. I have a task set up for automatic syncing. The problem

    I've been looking for days for a solution and have not found anyone with this problem. Any ideas?

    Apparently the problem is not with SyncToy, it is with Task Scheduler. If you have had Task Scheduler work for you in the past, then I don't have an answer for that. I have never been able to get Task Scheduler to work correctly with SyncToy and a NAS drive.
    I have found that for some reason it works with USB external HDD's but will not work with a network connected hard drive. The same bug exists in Win8.1 as well. However, I have since found a third party task scheduler that works perfectly with SyncToy and
    my NAS drive. It is called System Scheduler by Splinterware. The free version only works when you are logged in but they have a paid version that runs as a service and will execute without being logged in. This has solved my problem.

    But when we selected payment run, immediately it showed the below status:

    Job was not released
    Also I'm not able to delete the Payment run made, fields are in disabled mode.

    I'm having trouble getting my Powershell file to run from Task Schedule during logoff. In short, I'm trying to upload my NTUSER.DAT (roaming profile) to my profiles folder on the file server. Dynamic VLAN switching does not support roaming profiles thus
    I have to use a script to solve this issue.

    I have a task schedule to run as Domain Admin when event ID 4647 occurs (logoff). It is set to run with the Highest Privileges checked, also I have enabled to run weather the user is logged in or no. The Domain Admin account also has access to ever file,
    both at source and destination. Set-ExecutionPolicy is set to unrestricted. The way I call the powershell script in Task Scheduler is:
    Action: Start a program
    Program/Script: C:\temp\launch.bat
    The launch.bat contains the following:
    Powershell.exe -executionpolicy unrestricted -File "CALL C:\temp\powershell.ps1"
    The task is triggered each time when the user logs off, I have confirmed this in the logs. But the NTUSER.DAT file fails to copy over to the network, in fact the log.txt file isn't even generated. I have confirmed my code to work, it's just the task scheduler
    part calling the code where I think it fails.
    Can you guys point me in the right direction here? I know I'm close, but not sure what I'm missing.

    Yes in my testing the task schedule is unreliable, I don't have any info on how long the profile is locked, thus I can't copy the profile to the server when the OS still has it locked.
    What do you propose I change my vlan configuration to?

    What you are trying to do cannot be done.  That is why it is not being done.  If you set up roaming profiles and redirected folders this would happen automatically.  It would also happen very quickly.  THat is because Windows posts cahnges
    to teh roamed image as they happen.  Only changes are copied. Items in teh registry which are only valid during logon (Dynamic Entries) are nver copied so updates that are not needed are not posted.  It is these updates thaat can keep the registry
    locked for a very long time.
    If you scan your network you will likely find hives thaat are loaded with no one logged in.  WIndows 7 and later have a utility that forces and unload after a few minutes.  It posts the reson for the forced unload to the event log.
    As for the VLAN it is likely not configured correctly.  THe profile must be on a server that is available on the same net ID as the PC.  YOu may also have to allow the switch to suspend if you are using per-user conenctions.  Contact the VLAN
    vendor and tell them about issues with Roamed profiles.  THey will walk you through the setup.  THe most common issue is thaat the switch specifies 1Gb and the server is set to 100Mb and the switch is not set to match the speed.  THisis a simplpe
    configuration error done by a tech who does not have much experience with VLANs.  THey tend to think that setting everything to 1Gb or some other maximum will work but it won't.  It can also be caused by a files server with a 1Gb card that is a pront
    spooler spooling to a 100 or 10Mb older printer. This disrupts the card and the VLAN cannot attach to it until the spooler is dona nd the card can switch.  It can also be caused by a bad card or a bad switch.
    Then VLAN vendors techs are usually very good at troubleshooting this kind of issue.  Remote VLAN logging and diagnostics can also pick out the issue.

    As I know, it will not help you to achieve this target via Scheduled Task. When configure Scheduled Task, there
    seems no Trigger option that help you specify this condition (process counts reaches to specific numbers) to trigger the batch file.
    You could consider that improve this batch file. Adding the
    Check function to the script will be a better option. For script issue, you can post it in the
    Official Scripting Guys Forum. I believe we will get a better assistance there.

    You can schedule this report using SA38txn.
    Input the report name and click on Background tab on the menu bar and in the next screen click on Variants tab on the menu bar and in the next screen click on create tab next to the variant field and create a variant.
    Enter the criteria for the variant and click on attributes and enter the short description for variant and also choose the preferences for various attributes and clcik the save icon to save the variant.
    Then goto SA38 txn again and input the report name and clcik on the with variant tab on the menu bar and click background tab and enter the required variant name in the next screen and click on Schedule tab and schedule the job periodically based on your requirement.
    Hope this makes you more clear and helps in resolving your issue. Clarifications are welcome.

  • Cursor in terminal runs ahead of text (KDE4) [solved]

    Hi,
    I have a very annoying problem with my terminal since my system upgrade to KDE4.
    The cursor in terminal window in both Yakuake and Konsole runs ahead of text while I am typing.
    In fact as much I write the cursor draws away leaving a growing space between the text and the cursor.
    That space remains if I go back with the arrow key, splitting the line in two parts!
    The same happens when I am trying to mark a text with my mouse.
    The problem improved a bit when I replace the default .bashrc with the one is in archwiky (the space between the text and the cursor was decreased) but the problem (the space) remains. :@
    Any ideas?

    I can see your problem.
    I was hoping you'd post some screenshots, and I'm glad you did. Upon sight of them I immediately noticed something wrong, but it didn't hit me in the head for a few seconds.
    You're not using a monospaced font.
    Take a look at this:

    See how in the 2nd example the 'x's line up, although "w" and "i" aren't the same width? This is because the font used for code blocks in most forums (and most terminals! ) is monospaced - each character is equally spaced apart.
    Now, I have no idea how on earth your terminal is letting you get away with using a proportionally spaced font (the opposite of monospaced), but at any rate, you'll need to use a monospaced font to get around the issue - "Monospace" is a good, obvious start, and there are many more available, like Terminus (package terminus-font)

  • Trouble running jobs with scheduler

    We have trouble running jobs with scheduler since we upgrade DS4 from 14.0.1.142 to 14.0.2.322. It works fine for several hours and then randomly jobs are not started. There is no error in the log.  In AL_RWJobLauncherLog.txt file,  there are no "RWJL_EXIT called" in that case :

    Mmmhhh that doesn't make much sense to me, except if you have problems with the repository:
    1) Your JobServer or JobLauncher has problems executing jobs
    => reads the repository to get job information
    2) Your Management Console (independant from the JobServer - but on same machine) has problems
    => Is connected to the repository to show job status, adapters etc.
    3) The Tomcat which is hosting the Management Console is OK
    => No connection to the repository of DS.
    Do you have any network or database problems? Can you put the database on the same server?
    I could be wrong of course...just the only thing that comes to mind..

    1395641 - Will truncating the AL_HISTORY and AL_STATISTICS Table compromise the referential integrity of the repository?

  • Identify Jobs that are not running on their Scheduled date time

    I have 29 scheduled jobs that run at different intervals of time. Some run once a day. few others run on hourly basis while others run on Sundays.
    I was working on a query that would let me know if a particular job did not run on its scheduled date and time.
    SELECT * from all_scheduler_jobs WHERE state <>'DISABLED'; will give me a list of all jobs that I have to monitor and that are not in the disabled state. But how can I verify that the jobs are running at their scheduled date time?
    Any help please? I need to create a view of all such jobs and then plan to send an alert so that appropriate action can be taken and it is assured that all important jobs run as per schedule.

    I can see 2 approaches.
    - for jobs that have run but ran very late you should query dba_scheduler_job_run_details and filter by the difference between req_start_date and actual_start_date
    - for jobs that should have run but shouldn't, query for DBA_SCHEDULER_JOBS jobs that are SCHEDULED where next_run_date is in the past

    In MD04 requirement date is on 5.12.2009.My source list validity starts from 1.12.2008 onwards.When i run the MRP for the material system generates the Purchase requisition instead of the schedlue lines.When i change the source list validity as 25.11.2008 now i run the MRP system generates the schedule lines.
    My question is why the system couldn't able to generate the schedule lines when the validity starts on 1.12.2008.In the source list we maintained the scheduling agreement and maintaine the MRP setting as 2.

  • MRP Reschedules PO ahead of Scheduling Agreement

    Hi,
    We have a situation where one company code (Company A) buys product from a second (Company B) via an inter-company Scheduling Agreement. The schedule lines are generated automatically from MRP.
    Company A now has a need to purchase a one-off quantity of the same product from an external company and so have subsequently raised a Purchase Order with delivery dates in the future (after the next requirement from company B is due).
    The result of the MRP run has been to prompt rescheduling of the Purchase Order in to meet immediate requirements and only generate schedule lines from Company B after the full Purchase Order quantity has been used. This is not as required, as the dates on the PO are those that are achievable by the external supplier.
    I can't find any settings that relate to a prioritising of MRP elements which would imply that a PO has precedence over a Schedule Line, and I would rather not fix the schedule lines of the Scheduling Agreement.
    Has anyone seen this before, or knows what I'm missing.

    The requirement goes this way.the sales person creates a scheduling agreement instead of a sale order.The next process is running MRP for the scheduling agreement .
    Just he wants to know through a report what are the sceduling agreements peding for MRP run.

  • PR created after MRP run, instead of schedule line

    Dear all,
    I want to create schedule lines automatically from the planning run, for raw material. I have maintained info record, scheduling agreement, quota arrangements and also the source list.
    For the raw material, safety stock of 1000 nos. has been maintained. The current stock of the material is 0.
    After MRP run, based on the upper level PIRs, schedule lines are generated properly. But, against the safety stock of 1000, a PR is generated.
    I donot want a PR to be generated.
    Please suggest a solution.

    Dear all,
    I checked an found that the schedule agreement date does not have any effect. Even if the requirement date falls outside the date range, i am able to create schedule lines.
    I also found that if i maintained GR processing time, then always a PR is created. If GR processing time is 0, then only schedule line is created. Moreover, planned delivery time does not have any effect on the calculations, even if it is 10 days, 20 days or 900 days.
    Can someone please clarify all these? How are these times taken into account?

    The solution in PSFT connector was "You must specify the appropriate path for PeopleSoftComponentInterfaces.xml file Lookup.PSFT.Configuration reference."
    In the similar way, please read the documentation present in Unix connector and see whether you have missed anything?
