Adroid where is the support?

I'm tempted to buy into the creative cloud idea but I'm on of at least half of the population that favours android devices.  Do I get support?  All I can see is what I can do on my iPad this and iPhone that. Can I do all these things promised on my android devices too.  Is it just that Adobe have a blind spot when it comes to marketing but that CC is just as usable across android devices as ios ones?

I second your question. I bought into Creative Cloud concept the other day (stupid me) and didn't think to dig into all the details about platforms and mobile apps. I just thought that the mobile concept would work for Android as well. Such a mistake! Well, I'm glad that I have a 30-day money-back guarantee but I'm still extremely disappointed! I've been an apple fan for decades, but I'm also a tech-freak meaning that I use the best tool available regardless of brand. In this case the new tablet from Samsung is great and I run that for now... and you can imagine my surprise when I found out that the apps only work with ios....This will probably end with me getting ride of al Adobe products for my photography and try to find alternatives that will adapt to my workflow when out in the fields with my gear. Really really disappointed...
To answer your question, the Creative Cloud concept will only work if you have ios on your mobile devices (phone/tablet). For computers it only works with pc and mac, for Linux I can't find info....

  • My time capsule is dead - where did the support article go?

    Hi,
my time capsule just died - the known power supply issue, and it falls under the serial range referred to here:
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/blog/2010/jul/12/apple-time-capsule-recall- replace-fault
The article is old as well as the support article dealing with the issue (old link: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3351?viewlocale=de_DE) Now, I can imagine what the guys in my apple store are gonna tellme, when I show up with my dead TC, but at least I want to show them proof that I am right before they do me wrong. Does anyone know where this article was moved to (or happen to have an old copy / Screenshot?).
    cheers,
    Erik

It no longer applies.. that is why it was taken down.. warranty + applecare never extends beyond 3years.. all Gen1 TC are now more than 3years old.. if yours has lasted out this long.. more than 4years.. it worked exactly as Apple designed it to.. and is now in need of replacement.
But there is plenty of DIY fix it info if you want it.

  • Where is the support number!? Emergency!

All we can find is the 48 hour e-mail support, and we've been locked out of our own account while someone is buying over a thousand dollars worth of stuff on I-Tunes. We cannot locate a support number anywhere! Please, if anyone knows where it is, please let me know. There must be /some/ way to talk to someone who can shut the person out of our account. We are on the phone with the bank right now trying to shut it down from our end.
Please, if anyone knows the support phone number, or a way to reach someone at I-tunes who can help, please post it.
    Thank you.

I can't go to our account, they locked me out of it and changed our password.
I had to go to the bank to get everything frozen, but they still took a lot of money. I don't understand how a company that can handle 1000+$ transactions from a single account on the fly does not have a help line for emergencies. This makes no sense to me at all, and due to the absolute locked down nature of our mac, it really makes me a bit suspicious. No one had our account information, and we only used the mac for Itunes (It was an extra and unused terminal at an art business) with a wholly unique password. So no net was surfed where a keylogger or anything like that could have been picked up.
This is not a flame, or a trolling concern either. It is a simple matter of fact that a policy the excludes immediate help paired with a no refund policy dictates that someone inside could have a heyday selling account information, and people would not be able to do anything about the theft. That is unbelievably /dangerous/. And now we are out over a thousand dollars because of it. Hopefully we can get the matter settled with the bank. This is unbelievable. My wife and I don't have that kind of money to just write it off, if we can't get this fixed, we are in a really bad place.

  • Systemupdate40-2009-10-19 -- Where is the support for Windows 7?

I am about to rebuild my X201 Laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate x64.  I downloaded systemupdate40-2009-10-19.exe and systemupdate40-2009-10-19.txt.  The txt file is extremely poorly formatted for notepad.  It is one long line.
Also, from what I can make out in the description at the begining of the file it only has support for XP, 2000 and Vista:
"ThinkVantage System Updatefor Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Vista"
Where is the updater for Windows 7?

  • Where should the support classes of servlets, JSPs and EJBs be placed

              Hi
Could you please tell me where the support classes (simple
java classes) used by servlets, JSPs and EJBs should be placed.
I find that my application does not work if I place all the
support classes of a servlet under $MYSERVER/clientclasses. I need to place some in $MYSERVER/clientclasses and some in
$MYSERVER/servletclasses. But I figured this out my trial and error and I could not find any logical explanation why some of them should go into $MYSERVER/clientclasses and others into
              $MYSERVER/servletclasses.
              Thanks

  • I am trying to transfer the bookmarks etc to a new profile i made because the old profile kept crashing all the help articles atre for older versions where is the support for firefox 4.0

I do not know what else to say except the support is very sketchy and I need help

Support articles for the various versions of Firefox are automatically shown based upon the version of Firefox that is used to view those support pages. If you use a different browser to view the support pages, you might need to select the correct version of an article on the right-side of the page.

  • Where are the supported annotations documented?

When configuring tasks it becomes very easy and intuitive because it uses the EMF model. So the context menu only offers what makes sense in that context.
But the same doesn't happen with the Annotations. I would expect that there is some wiki or similar where I can find all supported annotation for all tasks. However I followed all links from the wiki and I didn't find anything.
Does anyone know where I can find this information?
    Thanks in advance.

That has been decided by the team on a case by case basis. Maybe Ed remembers some general rules ;-)

The more general facility would probably "just" a pluggable model preprocessor mechanism. On the one hand that sounds
very powerful and interesting, on the other hand it sounds pretty scary if, for example, an arbitrary plugin can hook in
a preprocessor that sets disabled=true on all tasks, always. I'm not sure how we could control the ultimate force once
we've passed it to the public.

  • JWEB am I the only user? Where is the support?

Where can I get some support for OAS 4.0.7 JWEB cartridge.
I am trying to build a simple web front end to my oracle
    database using JWEB and jdbc.
Apart from the server crashing many times during the day with a
Dr. Watson error I need further examples and docs to work from.
    Anyone got any ideas?

    Hi Brenda...
My iBookG4 is running v10.4.11 (knock on wood) with Safari 4.1.3 and it's not an incompatibility issue so much as the 4.1.3 is such an outdated version of Safari.
Most websites especially financial institutions require the newer versions of all browsers to for access.

  • Where's the support?

Where can I go for Database support? I have a SR opened since JAN 2010. I have to open other SR's to get them to answer the SR. And the only thing they have told me to do is to upgrade-- and they tell me to do this even before they get the full logs. Why are we paying for this kind of service?

    ajallen wrote:
That advice was given me to our Oracle account rep. - of some technical sort, quite some time and a couple of employers ago. Still seems to hold true.I very rarely open SR level 1, rarely level 2, time to time level 4 when I know that won't be solve soon, and most often 3. And I'm happy with that, it is working fine like that.
Honestly, working in support team, I'd be very unhappy to see all the incoming SR at severity 2 whereas it is obviously not. It takes time, and you have to ordered them. That is not a good way of working because some trully level 2 SR could be postponed after the 'fake' ones.
If we all play honestly our role, then support can opperate better our SR.

  • Indesign server web service - where is the support to upload a file with the script and download the result?

    Hi,
I am working on a POC that is supposed to convert indd files to pdf (i.e. using of course the indesign server). Basically I want to call the IDS Web Service (located on a different machine perhaps), pass in the input file, the conversion script and retrieve the result as part of the WebService call?
Browsing the documentation, examples, etc in the SDK, I couldn't see how the above can be achieved without the client handling the file transfer. Surely I must be missing something ...
    thanks
    Chris

What do you mean with POC?
InDesign Server is too precious (i.e. license cost) to waste its time with file transfers.
For a smaller scale, let a separate process (some http or smb server) on the same server hardware handle the files - so that the InDesign Server can access them on the fastest local volume.
If you plan for bigger, use a dedicated server for file sharing (your choice of SMB, NFS or whatever), where the input files are prepared by the client process, so that your load balancer can immediately point the next free instance of the InDesign server farm to the file. In that case be prepared for some try and error - high speed file sharing can be tricky with files written from one side not yet visible or incomplete to the other side, locking problems, Unicode file name trouble, unexpected time stamps and so forth.
Btw, there is also an InDesign Server forum which would be more appropriate for such discussions.
