Ads feedback: "I don't want to hear this again" button
Anyone else get really annoyed by adverts for rubbish music that you are not at all interested in?
Or you are listening with the kids and an advert for a song that is just swear words comes on?
How about an "I don't want to hear this again" button for adverts?
Hopefully then we will get more tailored adverts that match our tastes better too.
Marked as new idea and edited the title slightly to make it easier to find via search.

I'm sorry, but you'll have to keep hearing "this fall". That's all Apple has announced, and until they give more details that's all anyone can tell you. Apple is extremely tight-lipped about these things, and tend not to give out software release dates - all the "rumor" sites are really just guessing, and are rarely correct. When iOS4 came out the public discovered it on the day it was released.

I had a box on the top of the browser that has written, you got mail. The problem is it keeps repeating you got mail. I don't want to hear it.
This is an unsolicited ad for "winning" an I phone. I am very tired of winning all this junk. I certainly do not want ads talking to me now.This appears above the page, in the toolbar area? That's probably caused by an add-on. Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or remove).
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that get rid of the ad?
Two other things:
(1) You may want to check the Windows Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, for any undisclosed bundle items. Click the "Installed on" column heading to group by date so they are easier to spot. Remove whatever looks suspicious or unnecessary.

How can I just disable "navigation toolbar" completely for the App Tabs? I don't want to disable this for other normal tabs. This is important as otherwise while I am in the app tab, i mistakenly start browsing from that tab and meaning of the app tab is completely lost...

Hi I followed instructions to copy/move iTunes music to a new PC. I can see albums listed in the library but SYNCH will not put any music on my new iPod.
It took three weeks to import my CDs on the old PC and I don't want to do it again!

How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
Once you have the tracks on some removable medium, you can mount that on your new computer and then just drag the content to the iTunes window. Make sure that the option to "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" is set in the iTunes -> Advanced -> General preferences before you do. Alternatively, you can use the Add To Library command and select each track (or folder of tracks).
If you won't be using that Windows system once you move the content, don't forget to deauthorize the system from your iTunes Store account before you dispose of the computer.

2 of my movies are no longer working in my iTunes or on my iPod Touch, One doesn't play at all and the other gets to about 29:00 than stops working and I don't want to buy them again. Then also when I added a non-iTunes movie and tried to have iTunes make an iPod/IPhone version it gave me error -4. What's happening to my movies?
I also have to add that the right earbud only doesn't work on my phone while i'm listening to music. If I'm face timing it's okay. what the heck.

Can't find a playlist I created on my playlist or computer? I didn't delete it. I don't want to create it again because it took a long time. please help me find and recover.
Playlists only exist as part of the larger iTunes library listing so if you are not seeing it there it doesn't exist anywhere else. I know with my older version of iTunes it is very easy to accidentally delete a playlist. With newer versions it may be possible to recover it with the undo feature in the menu but this likely will only work immediately after the deletion.

So I'm reverting this fix from the 3.0.x branch of ASC and checking in a new 1.4 downgraded asc.jar to reflect the change. This will be merged to other Flex 3 branches such as 3.0.3 and 3.1.0, but will not be merged to trunk.
The change in behavior was noticed for Flex 3.0.x when a asc.jar was updated in revision 2108, and re-applied in revision 2129. Reverting this fix will resolve bug SDK-15924.

I have downloaded iOS 6 to my iTunes but I have clicked "Download Only" not "Download and Update" how do i install/sync it to my iPad. Please help me, its taken me hours to download it i don't want to do it again
PLEASE HELP ME!!!Hook your iPad into your computer and open iTunes. GIve it a couple of minutes to get going, then click on the name of your device, then the main summary page. In the middle you'll see a software update button/area. Click on check on updates and update and follow the prompts.
it SHOULDN"T redownload but if you've already got it should just install.
I'd suggest that you first do a complete sync before you update, that way you have a good backup to restore your device from if the upgrade doesn't go perfect. -
I have just got a new ipod touch but my game centre games are on the old one and i don't want to start them again, can I transfer the stage i'm at or anything?
The progress for some games will transfer since some games synce progress to a cental server. For other games you will have to have the backup of the old iPod.

If you have acces to the old iPod yu can make a backup by connecting the iPod to the computer and right click on the iPOd under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up. Then restore from that backup. -
Hi I bought the oxford dictionary app a while ago and it worked fine . Now with the new iOS it starts and closes instantly. I don't want to buy it again. Who can I turn to?
Try closing the app via the device's multitasking bar and see if it works when you re-open the app : double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag the app's 'screen' up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.
If the app still doesn't work then try deleting the app from your device and redownload it (assuming that it's still in the store) via the Purchased tab in the App Store app - or resync it from your computer's iTunes (if you don't have a copy of the app in the Apps part of your computer's iTunes library then copy it over via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases before deleting it).
If that also doesn't get it to work then contact the developer. -

How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. -
I just clicked on "rent movie" on my I pad ( iam signed in to apple store) nothing happened. No record of it on my I pad. I don't want to hit rent again..in case I'm charged twice. Am I missing something?
When the movie finishes downloading it will be in the videos app on the iPad. You don't watch the move in iTunes.
Do you see a download tab in the iTunes Store at the bottom of the screen? If you tap that, it should take you to the downloads section and you should see the movie icon and the download progress bar.
