Ads instant video to-go problem

Bought new ipod classic 80G and ads instant video to-go
http://www.adstech.com/products/RDX-160/intro/RDX-160_intro.asp?pid=RDX-160
Using instant video to-go encoded some videos,no one can be played back on
my ipod classic, anyone over there know why?
BTW,I did try all(4 of them) instant video to-go build-in ipod profiles,no one worked, sent email to vendor but no feed-back.

Right now I don't convert to quicktime format, I have never been able to get it to work right. I am using mpeg2cut (freeware) to edit commericials out, then a program called staxrip to convert to xvid. The h.264 settings in staxrip I haven't been able to get to work with the windows quicktime format, I probably need to adjust the configuration.
A 2 hour race, 2 pass exact file size, takes several hours to convert to xvid (I don't remember the exact time, 8 hours, all night I think.) I haven't tried to convert a large file to quicktime on the pc using staxrip, as I haven't been able to get a small file to work yet.
I was hoping that even if the hardware solution cut the time in half to 4 hours, it would be worth it, and as a bonus I would have a format that I can share and store easily. (I can just say play with quicktime to noncomputer people and give them the link to apple, getting xvid to play in media player is a pain in the rear on the pc without accidently getting spyware also installed.)
I'll try mpeg steamclip for the windows, I played with it on the mac, but not on my older pc computer. I would think that it would be even slower to convert than xvid however.
As far as I can tell, it looks like the only hardware solution by ads is abandoned, as they haven't updated the software since release. A review is on iLounge of both of the hardware solutions.

  • BDP-S6200 - issues with Amazon Prime Instant Video

I recently purchased the BDP-S6200.  For the most part, it works great.  I was able to log into my Amazon Prime account to watch the Instant videos.  The problem I have is after I finish watching something, I can't do anything else.  Can't go back to the home screen, can't start play over again, etc...nothing.  I turn it off and it flashes "off" on the player and won't allow me to turn it back on.  I literally have to unplug the player each time to reset it.  I know there has to be an easier way or something I'm missing.  Any ideas?!

Its my understanding form the Sony techs-named -Charlie-Ulysses-who sounded like_Not Americans_That basically if the player will play a DVD movie all the way through we are out of luck. The warranty that came with it says Sony is only responsible for the hardware_not the software loaded on it. That sure seems strange when I buy a new Computer from HP the software is covered by warranty to ensure that the computer will function using all software loaded on it__They don't say if it will turn on but not load and use software as advertised its no longer their problem. When the BDP-S6200 works, it has great sound and picture BUT!---when the software that’s loaded on it (ALL THE SOFTWARE) when its shipped to me doesn't work and there is no recourse I feel Like SONY let me down.Especially when you spend an hour with a tech and he says expect an email in two or three days that has a shipping label that I can use to return it to be repaired or replaced and THAT never Happens.  I'M at the point in this losing game where I have accepted the fact that I purchased my very first SONY DUD product. CASE # E61111185  DATED APRIL 7 2015

Are you a 100% sure??? Because I'm definitely given the option to do this and there are even downloads to this effect, i.e. iPhone 3G ios 6.0. I am even given this option when I plug my  iPhone into iTunes. The only problem I'm having is what I have mentioned above.

  • Problem with Amazon Instant Video

I am trying to watch a video from Amazon instant video and keep getting the error message "Your internet connection is currently using an HTTP proxy, content playback is not supported when a proxy is configured.  Is this something I can fix?

I have the exact same issue. Videos are completely unwatchable using the Amazon Instant Video app on my 2015 Sony 4K set. Stuttering and freezing, even though I'm using hardwired, CAT7 cable, with internet speed of 75/75. It's not just your television. I believe they're all this way.  I'm waiting for the 4K app too. Until then I'm watching AIV on my PS4, which is solid as a rock.

  • Anyone able to play Amazon Instant Video using Apple Digital AV Adapter

Amazon just released the Amazon Instant Video app for the iPad July 31, 2012. Version is 1.0
It's not a great app yet. I can get it to play on the iPad (by itself). When I hook up the iPad to the TV using the Digital AV Adapter, the app gets very unstable, crashes at times, doesn't load shows....basically doesn't work. Virtually everything else on the iPad displays fine on the TV using the adapter. I've tried Safari, Netflix, and a couple of games just to see if the problem was with the iPad or the app. The problem is with the app.
I emailed Amazon support via feedback within the app, and got responses back similar to this:
"I'm so sorry for the trouble you facing with the Instant videos which you want to play on TV.
I understand now a days all the TV's are HDMI connected but I assure you that we are working for the improvements required on this field.
The Amazon Instant Video app for iPad does not support playback on HDMI-connected TVs.
Customer feedback like yours helps us continue to improve the service we provide. I've forwarded your feedback to our Amazon Instant Video team for consideration as we make future improvements."
I find it hard to believe they designed it to not work that way-I replied and asked them if it was...have not heard back yet.
Has anyone been able to view Amazon Instant Video on their TV from an iPad ? If yes, how did you do it.?

<"The makers of the app tell you it does not work that way, you think they are lying to you?">
Where did you read that the app doesn't support this?  Their app description says it does not support AirPlay. I'm not using AirPlay. It doesn't mention anywhere that it doesn't support iPads connected to TVs with HDMI, except in a support email response back to me.
With the iPad hard wired to the TV with the Apple Digital AV Adapter and an HDMI cable, on all of the other apps I've tried, the TV mirrors the iPad display. Even the few free games I tried would do this. This app falls apart when you hook up the HDMI to the iPad. To me that's a bug. I find it hard to believe that they designed it to not put out compatible digital video from the iPad. I would rather have seen their email response say that this is a known bug and that they are working on a fix. Maybe they are just beginning to understand the issues with version 1 and told the poor people answering the support emails to just say that it's not supported.
I'm not particularly upset with them, as it is v1.0 of a free app. It's got plenty of other shortcomings. I was hoping that it would work somthat we could take advantage of the Amazon Prime stuff we're paying for without having to go out and buy another set top box or Blu-ray player that was compatible with their stuff.
I would have gladly paid some money for a well designed app. Wish they had gone that route.

  • Amazon instant video

Amazon.com Instant Video will no longer run on Google Chrome. I'm not sure if it's the fact that Chrome is not running Flash 11.6.602.168 or not, but Amazon tech support is insisting that the issue is not on their end, and that it has to be a Chrome or Adobe issue.

    Hello,
Just chiming in to say that I am experiencing the same issues.
    using Win 7, Firefox 19.0, Flash 11.6.602.168
Tried the DRM fix listed above,
Tried uninstalling Firefox and Flash, restarting Win 7, reinstalling Firefox and Flash
Tried reinstalling display and my NVidia drivers.
Still getting "Sorry we were unable to stream this video" message.
    Also having problems on Chrome.
Some troubleshooting threads suggest to go to chrome://plugins and disable the chrome flash player.
When i disable the chrome flash player and try to play an amazon instant video, I get the "Sorry we were unable to stream this video" message.
When i disable the system flash player and try to play an amazon instant video, the video plays but 'stutters.'  The audio is fine, but the video alternately pauses and plays for a second or two over and over again.
AIV works just fine on my iPad.
For everyone viewing, please take 30 secs to create an account and let Adobe know that their product is causing problems for your Amazon service.
This needs to get fixed asap!
    Thanks
    V.

  • Amazon Instant Video - 65L7350U

I have just got a 65L7350 3D Smart TV, comes with some applications I was particularly looking for Skype but the smart TVs that I looked at had the option to download more apps, this TV has already Netflix also, I am looking for the Amazon Instant Video app and I can't find a way to download it, does anybody know how I can do????

Does your SKYPE work on the Toshiba Smart TV 65L7350U?  Every time I run my Skype app it crashes the TV, and locks the screen to black, and escape to the Cloud page is the only way to get it to go away.  Skype tries to sign in, but every time it gets 2-3 seconds past the login for Skype, BLACK SCREEN.  Toshiba support has said it is a SKYPE problem, and not a TV problem.  Not sure what to do.

  • Amazon Instant Video with pipelight: HD not available (HDCP)

On my 64-bit archlinux-laptop I am using pipelight (0.2.5-2) and wine-silverlight (1.7.14-1) to watch video-streams of my "Amazon Instant Video"-account. Before end of february 2014, the provider of the video-stream-service was called "lovefilm" (Germany) and everything worked fine on archlinux. But now, I cannot watch movies in HD anymore and get this message:
HD viewing isn't available because the display doesn't meet content protection (HDCP) requirements. This title will continue in Standard Definition.
Maybe, I made something wrong with my pipelight/wine-silverlight-configuration. On my Playstation for example, I have no problems with "Amazon Instant Video" and HD. I guess, on ms-windows it should work as well. By the way, I am not using an external monitor (VGA-connections can cause HDCP-errors). And as ewaller told me in an e-mail, I should mention in this forum, that my intention is not to crack any copyright-protections but only want to watch my paid movies on my laptop.
    Andreas

    Hi andreas,
the short answer is: its not (yet) supported with Pipelight. HDCP (or content protection in general) is a feature which is not available with any Linux driver (not even the proprietary ones), and besides that some other features are missing too. Nevertheless this is on our todo-list for future versions of Pipelight, but we can't give an exact schedule, especially as it involves a lot of legal problems and questions.
For a bit more detailed information please take a look here, where Michael Müller (one of the other developers involved in Pipelight) summarized the current status. You can also subscribe to the bug report mentioned there if you want to be informed about all news concerning this issue.
By the way: You would encounter exactly the same problem in some situations on Windows, for example when your monitor is only connected via VGA, and thus the video data cannot be securely transmitted.

  • How do I watch Amazon Instant video on tv

How do I watch Amazon Instant Video on my TV?

    Hi diesel vdub,
I made sure software was up to date on both Apple Smart TV and my iPad.  I still get the message, "Watching videos on mirroring isn't currently available on this app."  I have seen other people with same problem as well.   Guess I'm out of luck

  • Having difficulty connecting apple tv with amazon instant video

II'm having difficulty connecting apple tv with amazon instant video or it won't stay connected. Help!

Is it naive of me to think that Apple should simply provide a portal on their Apple TV menu for me to access my Amazon Instant Video movies?
Maybe a little.  Amazon is a direct competitor, so it is not really in Apple's best interest to go out of its way to add support for a competing service that will cause Apple to lose money.  The bigger problem though is all of these video services using DRM to encrypt their content and lock it away from consumers so we can only watch content we pay for on certain devices.  Compaired to before when you could buy a DVD and watch it on any TV.  Now when you buy content you can only using it on a few specific devices.
Is their failure to do so about an Amazon/Apple rivalry, or because the two have to make some kind of deal before this can happen
They are competitors, but a bigger issue is that it is an incredibility complex legal agreement they would have to work out.  First there are legal agreements that would have to be worked out with literally thousands of copyright holders to distribute their content.  Then there is the software licenncing since Apple and Amazon would have to disclose how their DRM encrption works, then there are pateint agreements that can be worth billions that have to be worked out.  And all of that work would be so that they support a competator.  So there is not a lot motivating them to do something that would cost a lot of money and time.
If watching Amazon content is really your major priority you might want to return your ATV and get a Roku.

  • AirPlay Amazon instant video works very poorly

Whenever I try to AirPlay Amazon to my AppleTV, it works for crap.  Buffering, freezing, bombing out, inability to skip forward without it taking more time than if you had just let it play in real time.  If I use my iPad the video will start fine and play for a few minutes then will just stop.  Not that the video freezes, the image disappears from the screen and the iPad is back to the episode selection screen in the AIV app.  Then when I restart, the image is quite pixelated.  If I pause it for a minute or so at this point, the image will usually clear up once it starts playing again.  I get similar results while using the iPhone.  Is this an issue with the Amazon Instant Video app?  Using the app and watching right on the device works perfectly.  Is it a common or known problem?
My AppleTV is set to automatically update software, my phone and pad have the current iOS (8.0.2), but this has been happening since before iOS 8.0.
    Suggestions?

Yes - you are correct! The reason is the new Sony 4K TVs are on the Android TV platform. So apps that work with your television will not work with ours, and vice-versa. Sony is working on this, and they say the app will be available soon. Amazon's 4K site lists televisions that are compatible - all the Sony 2014 4K models are listed, but none of the 2015 4K models. So enjoy Amazon Instant Video in 4K! We'll just have to wait patiently until we can, too. I envy you, since I want Orphan Black, and other shows also, in 4K.

  • HT201335 Airplay Mirroring for HBO Go or Amazon Instant Video

When I try to stream HBO Go or Amazon Instant Video from my Ipad to my Apple TV, the image starts then stops and states, "Watching videos with AirPlay or through HDMI isn't currently available with this app." Then, the sound comes through the television but no video. I just purchased the Apple TV and am using an iPad 2. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Hi.
In regard to your question, " If it doesn't work on iOS 5, then it shouldn't be in the store for iOS 5 devices. Right?"
The apps general purpose is to enable you to view content on the device. AirPlay compatibility is a secondary feature and was only recently added in Feb this year. So, making the app available to iOS 5 users makes sense.
The post I read specifically mentioned the problem of hearing audio but not seeing video via AirPlay that was resolved by upgrading the devices to iOS 6.
Unfortunately I ran across this thread while going through the Apple forums here trying to resolve the issue of the Airplay button suddenly not being available on any of my devices (a router reboot was the resolution btw). It was a pretty common result of every google search I tried so it shouldn't be hard to find.
I understand your hesitation to upgrade to iOS 6. I've held at 6.0 myself, which works fine, but 6.1 and 6.2 seem more trouble than benefit.

  • Amazon Prime Instant Video worked at 2am CST this morning, but not at 8pm CST...why?

    Hello Mozilla,
Between the times mentioned in the question my computer was shutdown. When I loaded Firefox after work its appearance had changed. Specifically I noticed that the tabs looked different. I think that, somehow and without my knowledge or approval, Firefox got updated. I am not sure what version I had at 2am, but it is 29.0 now. Anyway, everything seemed to work fine until I tried to watch an Amazon Prime Instant Video. I tried several different videos, they just load indefinitely. YouTube works. Clearing history or restarting Firefox did nothing. Due to impatience I have not tried anything else. I am using Google Chrome now, but I would prefer a solution to my problem so that I can use Firefox again. Thank you.
    Best regards,
    Mark

  • Amazon Prime Instant Videos won't play in Firefox (Win 7)

When I try to stream a video from Amazon Prime, I usually get this error: "Sorry we were unable to stream this video. This is likely because your flash player needs to be updated"
I do have the latest Flash player and Firefox. After some searching I found this page http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/protected-video-content-play.html which says to remove and replace a bad Adobe Access DRM Module. I followed the steps precisely, and after reinstalling and relaunching Flash Player, I now have a NativeCache directory with only a single file in it NativeCache.directory with size 0kb.
Am I doing something wrong? Or is Adobe teasing us with this page suggesting the problem can be fixed?
    Thanks!
    =aw

I was having the same problem with Window 7 (64bit), Firefox 20.0.1 (and in prior versions) and with AFP Ver 11.7.700.169 (and previous versions).
With Firefox, I have several add-ons. So I restarted Firefox in Safe Mode and was still received the same error message.
I was able to stream Amazon Instant Videos (with all Firefox add-ons enabled) after visting the Flash Player Settings Manager website - The Settings Manager is a special control panel that runs on your local computer but is displayed within and accessed from the Adobe website. I made the following changes (I have provide the according links).
    1. Protected Content Playback panel - I selected the "Reset License Files" button. Link -  http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager08.htm l
    2. Website Privacy Setting panel - I selected "Always Allow" for both "ecx.images-amazon.com" and "amazon.com". Link - http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager06.htm l
    3. Website Storage Settings panel - I increased the storage from the default 100KB to 1MB for both "ecx.images-amazon.com" and "amazon.com". Link - http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.htm l
After the above changes I was able to stream Amazon Instant Videos. It is possible that only 1 or 2 of thes above changes were necessary, as I haven't tried to recreate the original problem.

  • Price difference between iTunes and Amazon instant video

We've always purchased instant videos from Amazon, because we had TiVos to download them to.  We recently upgraded to the XL4 in the living room, and minis in the other rooms.  There is a copyright problem with the minis and we are unable to watch any purchased or rented movies from Amazon on them. They can only be watched on the XL4.  I'm not a fan of roku because it isn't compatible with one of our tvs.  I love the apple tv.  I'd like to just put one in all the rooms, but I'm finding a big difference with the price of instant videos on iTunes HD, vs Amazon HD.  Example:  Haven season 1 and 2 are $19.99 on both iTunes and Amazon.  Season 3 is $35 on iTunes and $19.99 on Amazon.  If it were just a few dollars more, I'd buy it, but $15 is a big difference for 1 show.
Does anyone know if iTunes will start matching prices, or become more comparable with Amazon and Vudu?

All prices are set by the content providers, so it's the TV company that will need to change their prices for iTunes. Whether that will happen, only the providers will know.
