ADSL2 - Will my profile be automatically reset?

I've just noticed (according to BT.com) that my exchange has now been upgraded and I can expect service in the region of 10-17mb download.
Speedtester.bt.com tells me my DSL Connection Rate is set at 8128.
Does anyone know if this will get re-set or do I actually need to do something? I'm guessing the exchange has only just been upgraded (Samknows hasn't yet confirm it's done yet, only bt.com).

According to the agent I spoke to on sales this is nothing to do with them. They referred me to tech support for advice on my profile setting.
Tech support advise that I need to wait for the email confirming I'm being migrated to the ADSL2 service, which apparently happens as a matter of course. Re-contracting is not required, nor can the process be circumvented.
I'll just have to wait patiently

Why my iPhone will touch the screen automatically, sometimes?

I've got an iPhone 5s, I found it sometimes will touch the screen automatically while I didn't do anything. The first time I find his problem is in Ninja Rooftops, I noticed that it jumped lots of times by itself. And then I find this problem not just in the game, it's everywhere...
Can I get my iPhone changed? It really bugs me!!!

Automatic reset problem (Palm Centro)

Recently, my phone begins to have a new problem.
When I use the phone, it automatically resets if I touch the screen during the conversation.
It disrupt my conversation.
I had done hard reset; but, the problem came up again.
What can I do?

Did the problem immediately return when you finished the Hard Reset, or after doing a HotSync? If the latter, then the problem is software-related and saved on your computer.
Did the phone get damaged in any way? Get wet?
Here's my normal help file for clearing out reset problems:
As with most problems that occur on a Palm phone or PDA, it is either software or hardware related and we have to determine which one.
Best method is to first make a complete backup of your unit to your SD card using the free "NVBackup" (available from http://www.freewarepalm.com) After the backup is complete, Hard Reset the unit, then test to see if full functionality returns.
Perform a Hard Reset as described in this Palm KB article: http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/45050_en.html
DO NOT HOTSYNC YET! Test the unit before reinstalling any software. If the unit works correctly, your problem is being caused by a "drug interaction" of software - maybe one rogue program, or a combination of several. You'll have to reinstall the third-party programs one or a few at a time to find the problem one. To avoid re-installing a software issue, rename your /Backup directory in your Palm folder (on a PC it's found here: C/Program Files/Palm(One)/"your HotSync ID name truncated"/Backup) to something like "/BackupOLD". Now perform the HotSync, choose your HotSync name you've been using, and all your PIM data will return, but not the third-party programs. Test for functionality again. If all is good, start installing the old programs from your /BackupOLD directory one (or a few if brave) at a time.
If the unit does not work after a Hard Reset is performed correctly, then it may be Hardware-related. (If it's a connection problem via either BlueTooth or Wifi, be sure nothing has changed on the unit you're trying to connect to!)

Encoder position not automatically resetting on z pulse

I am using a PCI-7344 motion control card with a UMI-7764 break out box. Connected to this is a Pepperl & Fuchs 1024 line encoder.
Problem 1
The encoder counts up and down ok but gives 4096 counts between z pulses and not 1024.
Problem 2
The position does not automatically reset to zero when the z pulse is seen.
The encoder connections have been checked via oscilloscope for correct relationships (z is high when A and B are both low), but when mapping the encoder signals to RTSI signals and monitoring them, the signals are inverted.
I've tried a lot of combinations of polarity and phasing but all to no avail. What's going on??!

1. The 7344 rather counts quadrature signals and so the number of pulses it will count will always be 4 times the number of encoder lines. On all encoders I have seen just the number of encoder lines per revolution is specified.
2. Unless you are using a Find Index command the 7344 won't reset the encoder pulse counter. There is more than one application where the encoder will make several turns during a full motion cycle - remember a geared drive or a worm gear drive. If the motor/encoder has to make more than one revolution to complete its motion cycle resetting the pulse counter each time the index pulse occurs would be quite disturbing.
AFAIK with the latest firmware/software version it is no more necessary that both A and B are low when the index pu
lse occurs, you can set the actual state of A and B when index occurs with a special command.
BTW in cases the encoder/motor will make several revolutions you should use a separate home switch to detect proper zero position of the drive, of course using the Find Home command. It can be combined with (or rather followed by) a Find Index command to detect the zero position more precisely.

Xperia automatically reset itself?

Hi, I am very very mad that this happened to me twice. First one was my sony xperia TL automatically reset itself and deleted all memories, including SD card. I insisted to give Sony another try with xperia Z3 and thought that this could have been fixed since the other phone was too old. Bu it was unbelievable that this could happen again. Now I lost everything in the phone. Does anyone here had the same problem? I swear I will never and never use sony phone again. Anyone here know what happened? Thanks.

I've seen this before, perhaps someone has access to your Gmail password/account and have used MyXperia or Android Device Manager to factory reset your phone.

LR 4.4.1 crashing on iMac osx 10.8.5 when using exposure and shadows sliders. Will not restart with out resetting surge protector. Worked perfectly for 1.5 years with upgrades to 4.4

Thanks for any help you may have. LR 4.4 worked perfectly on iMac 27' OSX 10.8.5 for 1.5 years until October this year when shut downs began when making adjustments on primarily exposure and shadow sliders. Unit would not restart unless rebooting surge protector(s) after 10-15 minute wait. Apple replaced main board and cleared disc. Back-up and LR 4 reloaded and updated to 4.4.1. New surge protection or direct into receptacle makes no difference and shutdown happens immediately upon slider movement. Any suggestions or self checks an old guy can possibly do? It is Educator/student version.

The entire computer shuts down and will not restart without a reset of the new (and previous) surge protector or if plugged directly to the wall receptacle anywhere from 30 minute to overnight reset before on button restart will work. Other than slider adjustments on LR, it has only shut down one other time when loading photos via USB 3.0 cable to LR. All images from camera are in RAW. Apple tried to replicate this earlier this week with LR but could not read anything other than an increased usage on one of the diagnostic meters when the sliders were moved quickly from side to side.
Other computer functions are normal and rarely used except for e-mail, web search, and 90% LR. Plenty of memory in reserve.
Considering two upgrades (1) LR 5 to get new camera profiles (Pentax K-3)
(2)Yosemite OSX if it would help the LR4.4 or LR5 actually behave

Lens Profile Not Automatically Selecting Anymore...?

I have been using LR3 for a little while and I was excited when the 3.3 update added lens profile support for my last unsupported lens--the newer Tamron 70-300 VC USD. Now, I don't shoot with that lens too much, so I do not have a great number of images since that update, but I SEEM to remember that I tested out a few images and LR3 was correctly choosing lens profile for the 70-300. However, I shot some more images this evening and its not choosing that profile anymore automatically.
I have done some searching on this forums and tried a few of the troubleshooting steps I found. I have tried to install LR3. No effect. I manually chose the 70-300 profile to ensure that it did have an effect on the picture (so the profile is not missing or anything). And, yes, I am shooting in RAW only, no JPEGs.
The issue is just that when I load up any images taken with the Tammy 70-300 (all other lens profiles for all my other lenses are loaded automatically), LR3 just gives me the "unable to locate matching profile automatically"
Any ideas?

It will save it as the default for that lens and camera combination.
Fully automatic lens profile selection can only be activated by including a Develop Preset when importing. Fortunately, you need only create one prset a Lr will automatically select the correct profile.

Resetting network settings clears out all your wi-if passwords as well as any other associations with wi-networks you've made. For example, if you connect to your coffee shop's open wi-fi network automatically you will need to manually rejoin it like you did the first time to re-establish that association. It will also erase any Bluetooth pairings you've setup.

I have reset my phone a large number of times. It doesn't work. I am now reseting and setting it up as a new phone every 2 days. It works for a while and then teh cycle repeats.

Is it possible to use Mac OS X Lion Server Profile Manager to reset the passcode on managed iPads? I see the option to set complexity, but not an option to clea the existing passcode. Thanks.

If you go to /mydevices and log in as the profile you installed on your devices, you will see all the devices that profile is installed on. It is important that you log in as that profile and not an admin profile. You want to login as the profile name you installed on your devices.
Find the device you are looking for and click on "clear passcode"

IPod Stuck in an Automatic Reset

Hi everyone,
I need some major help. Today, I connected my iPod photo to my iBook as I always do in order to update it with some new music I recently loaded into iTunes.
Everything was fine, but when I disconnected the iPod and tried to use it, it was stuck in some kind of weird automatic reset. I've reset the iPod about 20 times and performed a complete restore to no avail! The iPod continues to reset itself.
It will go through the reset and then make it to the menu, but will automatically reset again. I try to play music and scroll around to avoid the reset, but it happens no matter what I do.
Can anyone help? I'm wondering if this happened because of the new iTunes. I can't recall if I've synced my iPod with the newest version.
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

LCD brightness level automatically reset

Dear Experts and other user,
Started from yesterday, my T61 laptop LCD brightness level automatically reset to lower in everytime i started it. I needed to manually tune up the brightness level.
The laptop is firmly connected to the AC power. And i have did nothing under the Windows system. Is it any hardware issue or software configuration issue?

My "energy saver" pref does NOT have the options for "Automatically reduce the brightness of the display before the display sleeps" item mentioned above. It has only the 4 following entries:
Wake Options:
-Wake when the modem detects a ring
-Wake for Ethernet network administrator access
Other Options:
-Allow power button to sleep the computer
-Restart automatically after a power failure
This option does show up in the help file and I am imagining that I either don't have the hardware to support it or it is geared for laptops.
I have tried using the terminal to issue a pmset command (logged in as root of course) to see if I could affect this behavior.
