ADUPDEUL.sh Script Unable to Load .EEX Files

Is there an alternative to executing the adupdeul.sh script without having to use the MKS toolkit?

Okay, so I thought I'd check out something.
It occurred to me that BIS is really part of Oracle Apps, so I downloaded all the Oracle Apps documentaition for 11i.
Fine ... lots of good stuff. Then looked at the index of documents - an Excel file called: R11_doc.xls.
In that list, you'll see:
Oracle Business Intelligence System Implementation Guide - A77481-02 - 115bisig.pdf
Oracle Business Intelligence System Troubleshooting Guide - A81000-01 - 115bistsg.pdf
which are 2 pdf files in the files I downloaded.
In reading over the install info, it talks about Disco v3.1 as if it was the current version and the document's dated in the year 2000!
So, what gives?
Then I found the part about importing the .eex file and there's nothing about MKS Toolkit in there.
So ... either I'm on drugs (sorry George .... must have inhaled), or the documentation that's supplies with 11i is completely out of date for Discoverer with BIS.
So, now I'm really confused as I know MKS Toolkit was specifically suggested by Oracle ... but can't find it.
I sure hope someone on this forum (like an Oracle Discoverer Product Manager?) can explain this as it's getting quite confusing.

    well i hope thats the case... but its a bit strange that neither the beta versions i tested or this ESD version (its not very clear as to if its pre-release - nothing on the splashscreen/about to indicate its not the full thing) can open 4.5 files...  suggests that the beta did not cover backward compatability which is a bit concerning :(hopefully im just missing something simple!from the help file in the '08 version i have here...Xcelsius supports the ability to import a visualization created
    with Xcelsius 4.5. This import ability lets Xcelsius 4.5 customers upgrade their
    existing visualizations to take advantage of the new features of Xcelsius 2008.
    Backup your current XLF, JPEG, and external SWF files before upgrading your
    visualization.
    Note: Xcelsius 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 files cannot be
    imported into Xcelsius 2008. To use these files in Xcelsius 2008 you must first
    import them into Xcelsius 4.5, then import the files into Xcelsius 2008.

  • QuickTime fails to launch: "Unable to load nib file"

    QuickTime has decided today that it will no longer launch. When I look at the message generated in Console it says:
    "QuickTime Player[300] Unable to load nib file: MainMenu, exiting"
    This has been happening since I updated my copy of Fetch. I have tried reinstalling QuickTime but it hasn't helped.
    I am running QuickTime Pro 7.1.6 with DivX and Flip4Mac, both of which were installed some time ago and everything has been running fine until this morning.
    Any ideas what I should do next?
    Thanks.
    iBook G3   Mac OS X (10.3.9)   QuickTime Pro 7.1.6 with DivX and Flip4Mac 2.1.1.70

    Did you repair permissions & restart after the
    update?
    I tried repairing the permissions and QuickTime still failed to launch; however, I didn't think to restart the machine. But then I fired up TechTool and it found problems with the volume structure, repaired it, and all is good now. So I'm not sure if TechTool fixed the problem or if it was eventually restarting after repairing the permissions.

  • Mail Unable to load nib file: MailViewer

    Mail decided not to work. looking at the console I get:
    Mail Unable to load nib file: MailViewer, exiting
    I read somewhere that it might have gotten corrupted, and that therefore I need to reinstall. Is there an easy way to install just Mail in its latest version and not go through (likely outdated) pkg installers? Even better, any other way of solving this problem?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Ivan

    I would say you have a serious issue with your hard drive. Consider doing a format with zero all data options enabled, and see if it pass. You might also consider buying some advanced disk repair utility to test (and repair ?) the drive (TechTool, DiskWarrior or Drive 10).
    Is there an (windows burnable) image "updated rescue disk"?
    No, the restore disk comes with each machine and is to keep in safe place.
    Use it to reinstall your system and apply the Mac OS Update via Software Update or using the same combo update.
    Why reward points ?

    i m unable to open that file .I lost whole thing.so can any one help me how to resolve this problem.
    Regards,

    Hi,
    Which version of xcelsius you are using now !
    The file which you are trying to  open may be created in higher version of xcelsius
    So upgrade to latest version and try.
    Before opening xcelsius check if EXcel.exe is running from taskmanager -->processes
    if that is runnning end the process.

  • Unable to load multiple files to Essbase using MaxL and wildcards

    I have multiple data files to load:
    Files:
    Filename.txt
    Filename_1.txt
    Filename_2.txt
    According to the following link, Essbase is able to load multiple files to BSO databases via MaxL by using wildcards:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/esb_tech_ref/frameset.htm?launch.html
    However, when I try to run the following I receive the following error:
    MaxL:
    import database MyApp.DB data from server text data_file "../../MyApp/Filename*.txt" using server rules_file "L_MyRule" on error append to "\\Server\Folder\L_MyRule.err";
    Error:

    ERROR - 1241101 - Unexpected Essbase error 1003027.
    I can run the following fine without any problem, but this only deals with the first of several files, and I’d rather not hard-code multiple files since the number might vary in the future:
    MaxL:
    import database MyApp.DB data from server text data_file "../../MyApp/Filename.txt" using server rules_file "L_MyRule" on error append to "\\Server\Folder\L_MyRule.err";
    Any ideas? And how about ASO databases?

  • Unable to load swf files in flash

    Hi,
    since creating all the animation in one flash file will
    produce a big file i tried to split and create small flash files
    and load these files in the main flash movie using the image and
    swf loader component.
    eg.
    main.swf, sub1.swf, sub2.swf.
    In the main swf , buttons are created to load sub1.swf and
    sub2.swf.
    The action script on button 1 is
    on (release) {
    //Movieclip GotoAndStop Behavior
    this.gotoAndStop("sub1");
    //End Behavior
    where sub1 is frame label. the image loader loads the
    sub1.swf file starting from this label. Everything works fine
    locally but the swf files are not loading when i test in my server
    or remotely.
    can anyone please help
    thanx in advance

    I am also having a problem with action scripts. I upload
    everything and still get the error message how can I solve this
    problem? It's killing me.

  • Unable to Load Captivate files to Creative Cloud

    We have several captivate files that that for whatever reason we are unable to upload to creative cloud.  We have tried from both Macs and PCs and receive the same message.  "A virus was detected in Filename. This file will not be uploaded."   They function in every respect in both cp7 and cp8.  We have scanned them with mac and pc virus scanners.  I can remove all the contents of the file and it still fails.
    If I copy out all the slides to a new file, the file loads to cc. There is a lot of master template and advanced actions that would be lost if we have to port out the slides. This is not a great solution.
    Can anyone suggest possible causes or remedies?  My hope this there is some resource missing or corrupted in the file structure and that can be repaired.
    Thanks for your attention.

    Warner,
    The only virus detection program that I found that recognizes this virus is ClamWin (Free Antivirus for Windows - Open source GPL virus scanner) I used it to scan the text animation swf files ( installed with my Adobe Captivate 8 64 bit program files. Below is the report. I hope this helps someone at Adobe to find and fix the issue as soon as possible. Since I now know there is a virus on my system, I really need a fix as soon as possible. What I read about this virus is that "it will be used as a backdoor to spread more malware, malicious, and other Trojan virus... usually monitors internet browsing activity and collects confidential information of the victims and then sends them to Cybercriminals...."
    Here are the results of my program directory scan. As you can see not all text animations are impacted but many are.

  • Unable to Load CSV file with comma inside the column(Sql Server 2008)

    Hi,
    I am not able load an CSV file with Comma inside a column.
    Here is sample File:(First row contain the column names)
    _id,qp,c
    "1","[ ""0"", ""0"", ""0"" ]","helloworld"
    "1","[ ""0"", ""0"", ""0"" ]","helloworld"
    When i specify the Text Qualifier as "(Double quotes) it work in SQL Server 2012, where as fail in the SQL Server 2008, complaining with error:
    TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio
    The preview sample contains embedded text qualifiers ("). The flat file parser does not support embedding text qualifiers in data. Parsing columns that contain data with text qualifiers will fail at run time.
    BUTTONS:
    OK
    I need to do this in sql server 2008 R2 with Service pack 2, my build version is 10.50.1600.1.
    Can someone let me know it is possible in do the same way it is handle in SQL Server 2012?
    Or
    It got resolved in any successive Cumulative update after 10.50.1600.1?
    Regards Harsh

    Hello,
    If you have CSV with double quotes inside double quotes and with SSIS 2008, I suggest:
    in your data flow you use a script transformation component as Source, then define the ouput columns id signed int, Gp unicode string and C unicode string. e.g. Ouput 0 output colmuns
    Id - four-byte signed
    gp - unicode string
    cc - unicode string
    Do not use a flat file connection, but use a user variable in which you store the name of the flat file (this could be inside a for each file loop).
    The user variable is supplied as a a readonly variable argument to the script component in your dataflow.
    In the script component inMain.CreateNewOutputRows use a System.IO.Streamreader with the user variable name to read the file and use the outputbuffer addrow method to add each line to the output of the script component.
    Between the ReadLine instraction and the addrow instruction you have to add your code to extract the 3 column values.
    public override void CreateNewOutputRows()
    Add rows by calling the AddRow method on the member variable named "<Output Name>Buffer".
    For example, call MyOutputBuffer.AddRow() if your output was named "MyOutput".
    string line;
    System.IO.StreamReader file = new System.IO.StreamReader( Variables.CsvFilename);
    while ((line = file.ReadLine()) != null)
    System.Windows.Forms.MessageBox.Show(line);
    if (line.StartsWith("_id,qp,c") != true) //skip header line
    Output0Buffer.AddRow();
    string[] mydata = Yourlineconversionher(line);
    Output0Buffer.Id = Convert.ToInt32(mydata[0]);
    Output0Buffer.gp = mydata[1];
    Output0Buffer.cc = mydata[2];
    file.Close();

  • c:import tag unable to load xml file

    I'm using weblogic 8.1 sp5. This is how my jsp looks like:
              <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/x" prefix="x" %>
              <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/c" prefix="c" %>
              <c:import url="/WEB-INF/ADVLSOG6Request.xml" var="file" />
              I get an error message in the console window that says, "included resources or file "/lwise/WEB-INF/ADVLSOG6Request.xml" not found from requested resources /lwise/pages/ADVRequest.jsp"
              The xml file is under WEB-INF directory. I've even tried putting this file in the same directory as jsp i.e. /lwise/pages/ and changes the c:import tag to <c:import url="ADVLSOG6Request.xml" var="file" /> so that it can locate it but to no avail. I've tried deploying both as war module and exploded directory but still gives me the same error. I'm using JBuilder Enterprise 12 as my IDE - jsp 1.2. Any idea how can I load this class using this tag? or why it cannot see it? Thanks.

    I haven't tried to update the firm ware yet, but this is probably my next move.
    The paper says
    “Unable to set attribute” error message will be displayed. Run the CameraValidator.exe utility with the “/ATTRIBUTES” flag to detect which attributes are generating errors and contact your camera vendor for a new and updated version of the camera firmware.
     I've run the CameraValidator.exe but it couldn't find the camera or the attributes.
    Also check the firmware version
