Advanced Analysis - Problems after patch 5

Just installed patch 5 of Advanced Analysis (12/09/2011) and get this error message when I try to log on to any SAP BW system. It accepts the password and then stops with the error below.
The folder and file mentioned does not exist on my C drive. It starts going wrong after Roaming, I don't have a SAP AG folder.
Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\<my_user_name_replaced_for_this_post>\AppData\Roaming\SAP AG\SAP BusinessObjects Advanced Analysis\logonHistory2.xml'.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
In the meantime I probably re-install the patch and maybe even the first install.
kind regards,
Ralf

I didn't touch the installation (no re-install or anything) but just created an empty file logonHistory2.xml in the mentioned folder.
After this I was able to log on and after that I had content in this file, as well as another file named xlsRecentDataSourceList.xml
Now Advanced Analisys patch 5 works fine.

  • Import/Export problems after patching oracle from 9.2.0.1 to 9.2.0.5

    Hi, After I applied the 5 patch to oracle 9201 on Win XP the export utility has started to complain about
    EXP-00008: ORACLE error 942 encountered
    ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    EXP-00024: Export views not installed, please notify your DBA
    EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
    And after I applied catexp.sql script, it didn't fix the issue with export, the error message has become like this:
    EXP-00056: ORACLE error 31600 encountered
    ORA-31600: invalid input value EMIT_SCHEMA for parameter NAME in function SET_TRANSFORM_PARAM

    ORA-06512: at line 1

    Can someone advise, what's wrong with it? With oracle 9.2.0.1 export worked fine, after upgrade to 9.2.0.5 it fails every time it gets to the table data export stage.
    Thanks in advise

  • BOBJ Advanced Analysis for Office patch SP10

    I imported the analysis product into my existing SAP Installation Server.  When I import patch 5 or patch 8, no problem.  But when I import patch 10 and then check server, it says I'm missing 12 files.  If I try to install to a workstation I see the same errors (11 files).  If you just apply patch 10 directly to a workstation without using the installation server, it gives no errors.  It seems that the install script for the server is just wrong.  Some of the files it is looking for are actually missing.  Others are there in the AAO folder, but they're not in the subfolders that it's looking in.  Has anyone else seen this and is there a solution?  Thanks.
    It's not pretty, but here's a paste of the text from the sapsetuperrors xml file.

    Hello Jurg,
    First, try to uninstall what you have and restart the workstation installed. Download the latest version of the Analysis Office, for the 1.0 is the SP12 and for the 1.1 is the SP4. After install it and check how it will work.
    Pay attention if your are trying to install the 1.1. We have 2 files, the 32 and 64 bit.
    Thanks

  • Authorization problems after patch 6 upgrade and re-install

    Hello everybody.
    I had a perfect working Visual Composer installation.
    After patching it, I got an 401 message, stating that I do not have authorization to view this page:
    HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.
    Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't bring me much further. It seems to be an Internet Explorer and/or IIS 6.0 related problem.
    Of course I followed the very valuable note 804996, but the problem remains...
    Can anyone help me out?
    Thanx.

    Hi all.
    I resolved my own problem.
    Additional to the permission settings as they are explained in note 804996, you must add the Directory Security - Authentication & Access Control, set to Integrated Windows Authentication.
    Otherwise Windows NTFS security will block you.

    Marc.

  • How to solve problem After patch 10.2.0.4 applying on owb 10.2.0.1

    HI OWB Gurus,
    We have recently a patchapplied for oracle 10g .
    prev version was oracle 10 g r2 10.2.0.1
    new version is 10.2.0.4 ( patchset 4)
    After patch applied at database and owb level there are some problem we are facing like
    ETL process is very slow , cpu is going to 100% after start any mapping.
    and audit browser are not opening.
    Can any one help me on this so that we can resolve the problem.
    - Umesh

    Hi Umesh,
    This might help you in diagnosing the client's performance
    Accurate optimizer statistics are generally very important. They are gathered automatically at OWB install time and the Design Center -> Tools -> Optimize Repository menu selection is available to refresh them on an as needed basis.
    The DBA can always help by pre-expanding tablespaces, making sure multiple tablespaces are available on separate disks or disk arrays so that I/O to indexes, metadata tables, snapshot tables, DB undo and redo logs, etc., can be evenly distributed.
    With more complex metadata in this OWB release, you can expect many JDBC round-trips to the DB. Network latency can have a big impact on performance. To see how much time the owbclient uses for JDBC roundtrips to the DB, add the following line to Preference.properties in <owb home>/owb/bin/admin on your client machine:ClientProfile=true
    Run OWB, then check ClientProfile.log in the admin directory. Keep in mind that a ping to localhost is probably about 0.025 ms, to another machine in the LAN about 0.25 ms. If the roundtrips are greater than 40 ms, then the issue is likely related network latency.
    The two basic workarounds for network latency are:
    -Remote control an OWB client machine that is physically close to the server.
    -Do design-time work on a local repository, then MDL export the work for import to a central repository.
    If the client and server are not on the same (high bandwidth) LAN, then total available bandwidth may become a factor. Same thing if the DB server is heavily loaded with respect to CPU or I/O, or if all your OWB design-time metadata is located on the same tablespace on the same hard drive. Distributing projects across multiple repositories which use their own
    tablespaces spread across multiple hard drives would be very desirable.
    The object editors are more functional and complex, as such, the required processing power to render them is greater (processor > 2GHz) Also note the OWB client software is mostly single-threaded, so it won't take advantage of multiple processors on one machine.
    Long running sessions or large bulk operations (MDL import, validation, generation, deployment over large or multiple modules) can push up against the JVM memory limit. If performance begins to suffer due to memory, either:
    a)exit and restart the OWB session;
    b) if adequate physical memory exists, increase the -Xmx and -Dlimit values in the owbclient and OMBPlus startup scripts to better accommodate large operations.
    ie.
    If you have 2 GB or more, backup and edit owb\bin\win32\owbclient.bat file and modify line starting with %JAVAPATH
    ie.
    %JAVAPATH%\jre\bin\java -Xms128M -Xmx1024M -Dlimit=1024M -XX:MaxPermSize=1024M
    This will add more memory to JVM for OWB client. Do the same for owb.cl file
    Hope this will add some value.
    Best Regards,
    Prasad Bolla.

  • Java desktop problem after patch 118870-01 install

    FYI
    Java desktop stopped functioning properly after the installation of patch 118870-01, part of the recommended patch cluster.
    Symptoms included no longer being able to launch mozilla, and upon reboot, no longer being able to login to java desktop.
    patchrm 118870-01 fixed the problem.

    Found that patch 119593-01 also appears to be causing the problem, along with patch 118870-01.
    Fun :)

  • Problems after patch 120230-08

    I have installed that patch and i encountred a lot of problems. I'll start with the most important SSL imap, pop3 doesn't work. After upgrade i noticed that my ssl certification is out of date so i tried to recreate it
    /opt/sun/messaging/sbin/certutil -N -d /opt/sun/messaging/config -f /opt/sun/messaging/config/sslpassword.conf
    /opt/sun/messaging/sbin/certutil -S -n SampleRootCA -x -t "CTu,CTu,CTu" -s "CN=Sample Root CA, O=Sample.pl" -m 25000 -o /opt/sun/messaging/config/SampleRootCa.crt -d /opt/sun/messaging/config -f /opt/sun/messaging/config/sslpassword.conf -z /etc/passwd
    /opt/sun/messaging/sbin/certutil -S -n Server-Cert -c SampleRootCA -t "u,u,u" -s "CN=sun.workgroup.Sample.pl, o=Sample.pl" -m 25001 -o /opt/sun/messaging/config/SampleSSLServer.crt -d /opt/sun/messaging/config -f /opt/sun/messaging/config/sslpassword.conf -z /etc/passwd
    /opt/sun/messaging/sbin/certutil -V -u V -n SampleRootCA -d /opt/sun/messaging/config
    /opt/sun/messaging/sbin/certutil -V -u V -n Server-Cert -d /opt/sun/messaging/config
    /opt/sun/messaging/sbin/certutil -L -d /opt/sun/messaging/config/
    /opt/sun/messaging/sbin/certutil -L -n Server-Cert -d /opt/sun/messaging/config/
    /opt/sun/messaging/sbin/modutil -list -dbdir /opt/sun/messaging/config/
    chown mailsrv:mail /opt/sun/messaging/config/key3.db
    chown mailsrv:mail /opt/sun/messaging/config/cert8.db
    Did all that steps (where Sample = my company name) and every result from that command was as before. Checked configutil:
    service.imap.allowanonymouslogin = no
    service.imap.banner = "%h %p service (%P %V)"
    service.imap.enable = 1
    service.imap.enablesslport = yes
    service.imap.idletimeout = 30
    service.imap.maxsessions = 4000
    service.imap.maxthreads = 250
    service.imap.numprocesses = 1
    service.imap.plaintextmincipher = 0
    service.imap.port = 143
    service.imap.sslcachesize = 0
    service.imap.sslport = 993
    service.imap.sslusessl = yes
    Everything seems fine. I checked my old old configutil entries and turned out almost all 'encryption' entries aren't there. So i added those
    encryption.nscertfile = config/cert8.db
    encryption.nskeyfile = config/key3.db
    encryption.nsssl3 = on
    encryption.nsssl3ciphers = "rsa_rc4_40_md5,rsa_rc2_40_md5,rsa_des_sha,rsa_rc4_128_md5,rsa_3des_sha"
    encryption.rsa.nssslpersonalityssl = Server-Cert
    But everytime i added them i had:
    /opt/sun/messaging/lib/configutil -o encryption.nsssl3ciphers -v rsa_rc4_40_md5,rsa_rc2_40_md5,rsa_des_sha,rsa_rc4_128_md5,rsa_3des_sha
    OK SET
    WARNING: unrecognized option encryption.nsssl3ciphers has been set
    So i wonder what's up, what changed between versions. It was supposed to be quick fix but it wasnt :/
    My version:
    Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-0.08 (built Jun 8 2006)
    libimta.so 6.3-0.08 (built 08:28:13, Jun 8 2006)
    Linux workgroup.sample.pl 2.6.12-1.1381_FC3smp #1 SMP Fri Oct 21 04:03:26 EDT 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
    Any help will be appreciated :/

    I've solved the problem myself. Turns out there were few sslpassword files.
    sslpassword file had just: mypassword
    while
    sslpassword.conf had Internal (Software) Token:mypassword
    seems the LEGIT one is just plain password in sslpassword file. Then it all works fine. Hopefully this will save some time to some ppl.
    Cheers

  • Solaris boot problem after Patch cluster install

    just wondering if anyone can assist. i have just installed solaris 10 x86 recommended patches on a 16 disks server. where first 2 disks are mirrored called rpool, and remaining 14 disks are raid z called spool. upon installing the patches successfully and rebooting server, i am coming up with the following error:

  • Problems after Patch 2

    Hello,
    After I installed EP60 SP2 Patch 2, the logon page is 'blank'. When I click 'View source', it appears that the logon script tries to find the umLogonPage.jsp several times.
    The file exists in the following directory:
    C:\usr\sap\SJ2E\j2ee\j2ee_02\cluster\server\services\servlet_jsp\work\jspTemp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.portal.runtime.logon
    So I don't know why it cannot be reached.
    Any suggestions appreciated!
    Rolf Christian

    Since the seed databases where not re-shipped with the 9.2.0.2.0 patch, if you use DBCA to create a new database from one of the template databases you have to run catpatch after DBCA has finished re-creating the database.

  • Problems after patching...

    Yesterday I ran bunch of patches to my Solaris 10 x86 server and after some succesfully installed patches I got following error
    ld.so.1: chmod: fatal: libsec.so.1: version `SUNW_1.2' not found (required by file /usr/bin/chmod)
    ld.so.1: chmod: fatal: libsec.so.1: open failed: No such file or directory
    and now all commands which are related to patching are useless :(
    What to do ? Server is running now somehow but is quite unstable...

    Hi... I had the same issue over the weekend when I started patching my Solaris 10 Compaq Prosignia 720 server. I ended up rebuilding the machine from scratch (hope you still have the original CDs used for installating Solaris 10 the first time... ;-). All is OK now but I have spent many hours in this task. This is what I have learned from that experience:
    1-) Patches of type 1188XX-XX (such as 118822-xx, 118844-xx) are the most probable cause of systems not starting up after applying kernel-family type of patches (which I think they all are 1188....)
    2-) It is easy to exclude these patches from being installed when using "smpatch" tool (which I think is the best patching tool out there). All you have to do is pipe the output of the "smpatch analyze" command-option to a file, exclude all potential troublesome patches for your given hardware by deleting its entry from the text file, and then issuing "smpatch download" to download only the patches specified in the file. (As a disclaimer I have to mention that these type of patches must be there for a reason, however I have not been able to find out how to install them without corrupting my system)
    3-) I did break my file in "clusters" of related patches, this way I could identify if a given patch would give me trouble later on. In my experience no patch gave me trouble except for the 1188XX-xx family of patches.
    4-) Also keep in mind that "smpatch analyze" and "smpatch download" can be used in "init 5" mode, however "smpatch add" (which actually adds the patches to the system) must be run in "init 1" mode.

  • Problems after Patch 9.2.0.2

    Hi,
    I think this is the best forum I can address my issue, if not, please refer me to another one.
    I installed the 9.2.0.2 patch (I ran it twice, because I had XML user with registered schema, the patch was hanging and after droping XML user the patch finished). The question is did running patch twice result into some hidden damage or the error I'm getting is a known bug. My original database is running ok.
    Now I want to create a new database with dofferent cracter set (AL32UTF8), since I'm using other language characters too.
    After creating new database (successful), when I go to XML DB - resources or configuration it throws:
    VBO-1508: An error occurred and the server object couldn't be initialized...
    ORA-29902: error in executing ODCIIndexStart() routine
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [qmxiUnpPacked2], [121], [], [], [], [], [], []
    In trace file there is:
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [qmxiUnpPacked2], [121], [], [], [], [], [], []
    Current SQL statement for this session:
    select 1
    from resource_view
    where any_path = '/xdbconfig.xml'
    Is it a bug or should I try to reinstall the Patch.
    BTW I can create DB and use this feature (XML DB) on the similar machine that is set up without Patch.
    Thanks,
    Max

  • IPlanet Messenger Express Problem after Patch 1

    After installing 5.2 P1, SMTP and POP3 are working fine. However, when I try to login to Messenger Express, I get an invalid user or bad password error! What might be the cause of this?

    need much more information.
    If you look in the http log file, look for errors on restart. comment.
    In your ldap server's access log, look for connections (bind) from the "webmail user), and see if that is ok.
    Doubtful it has anything to do with applying patch1

  • Boot problems after patching

    Solaris X86 release 11/06
    Root mirrored with lvm.
    smpatch update'ed rebooted.
    On reboot I get invalid PBR record error from BIOS.
    I boot from cdrom and pressed option 6 (looks like failsafe grub mode) It id's that the only installed os is under md control. So I mount the underling slice and remove system root dev and vfstab md entries.
    No when I boot from the cd with option 6 it tells me c1d0s0 is a valid OS to mount on /a - OK.
    I now run installgrub (tried -m as well) using the stage1 and stage2 present on the original OS install. Now grub loads on boot. fail safe boot works OK, but full Solaris 10 boot only gets asfar as the kernel copyright before reseting the PC.
    I've also run the bootadm update archive -R /a and repeated the installgrub steps from failsafe boot. -- Still the same problem. Kernel copyright is displayed then the PC resets.
    HELP what can I do next? I'm new to X86 Solaris so far it seems a real pain compaired to obp based sparc.
    Thanks,
    Bret

    I've now edited the grub menu.lst and added -kd to multiboot kernel entry.
    run bootadm update.
    Now the machine boots into the kdb but the keyboard is not working - numlock stays on and I'm unable to enter anything to step through the boot process.
    I really don't want to have to reinstall and it seems rather pointless reinstalling without understanding how to fix x86 Solaris at this point. When I mount root from failsafe it looks fine. What am I missing?
