Advanced Dialogue Box - Elements 9
Does anyone have info on when the due date fix for the bug which is responsible for not displaying the advanced dialogue box in the organizer? Based on what I've read, it seems like a waste of time to contact Adobe on this. Thanks
This is a user-to-user forum, so no we don't know anything about the internal bug tracking at Adobe.
You might search the Photoshop feedback site and see if someone has reported the issue and submit your own if not:

Seeing an "Acknowledged" may be as much feedback as you get, though. The "Problems -> Being Worked On" has nothing under it, so far.

Bought Premier Elements 13 yesterday. EVERY time I try to open a set of clips with Editor, I am told I have to sign into my Adobe first. I do this and wait for several minutes for the password dialogue box to open, enter my password. then wait and wait until my pw is recognized. Accept agreement. Agreement screen disappears and I'm back where I started. Try to open video clips with editor again and get the same demand to log in. Please advise asap. thx

Missing advanced dialog box in photoshop elements 9
I am hoping someone out there can help. I have a missing advanced dialog box on my photoshop downloader page. I have photoshop elements 9. I saw that changing the screen resolution can sometime help this, however it does not in my case, I've tried all available. I have a new Dell Inspiron laptop and resolution is set at 1366 X 768. My computer was preloaded with photoshop elements 8. I can see the advanced dialog box in version 8. However, it is not in version 9. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks for your help.
Check your screen resolution settings for vista.
I believe the screen resolution needs to be at least 1024 x 768 for the camera raw dialog to show in pse 8.
For example, if instead of running VirtualBox full screen, your running it in windowed or seamless mode and made the window smaller by dragging on the corner, that would automatically lessen the screen resolution in vista. -

What version of mac os x are you using?
It sounds like you set Enable to Camera Raw instead of setting Format to Camera Raw.
Where it says Format, set that to All Readable Documents and for the most part you shouldn't have to change that.
After you click on the jpeg file in the Open Dialog, set the Format to Camera Raw

Unable to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 13, from disc. The disc is rejected in DVD RW drive, no dialogue box comes up. The DVD driver is up to date and have updated flash player.

Problem with inconsistent print dialogue box/Aperture and Elements?
I just purchased an Epson r1900. In Aperture everything is great! I can pull up icc profiles and the new print dialogue box features all the epson papers (glossy, Matte, Art, CD) in menus with submenus. But in Photoshop Elements 6, I get an old dialogue box which only shows the old Epson papers-Photo. Photo glossy, matte. There is no way, for instance, to choose Velvet art-and that is what I am using. It is driving me nuts. I have thrown out preferences, updated drivers, updated applications, fixed permissions...you name it. same thing in Apple Pages. Why am I not seeing the same dialogue box? Is this not OS controlled? The R1900 is always chosen. ( I do have an older printer as well, but definitely not selected.

NancieI have the same problem since I installed Snow Leopard. I have upgraded to the newest canon driver for my Canon Pixma IP5200 printer. Calibrating seems to no longer have a reliable impact on my prints. Also Aperture under SL will not save my preset information for media type, paper source or print quality in the print settings.
I am assuming this is a bug related to SL and hopefully will be addressed soon... It is very frustrating as I have waisted a lot of time ink and photo paper in the days since I have moved up to SL
When will we see a fix? -
Can't open Adobe Elements 10. Dialogue box states: Runtime Error.

Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below:
Solution 1:
1. Close Elements.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.
Solution 4:
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works.

No Advanced Dialogue Option in Stnadard Photo Downloader
In my old Photoshop Elements 6, I could go to File --- Get Photos----Camera Card Reader and it would access my card reader and show me all the files on it so I could choose which ones I wished to download. This was done by clicking on an Advanced Dialogue link. Now I have PSE 8. The Help Section tells me to go to the standard photo downloader dialogue box and click on the advanced dialogue option to be able to do this. However, my standard dialogue box doesn't have anyplace to click for "advanced dialogue" Help! I want to be able to view which pictures to download like I did in Elements 6. Any thoughts?

What's the current Windows display resolution? -
For example: If I open the home page of The New York Times and press Cntrl-D, the bookmark dialogue box appears but pressing "done" has no effect, the bookmark is not saved. If I go to a page with a particular article, then the bookmark function does not even appear. At first i thought this had something to do with the web site, but that isn't the problem. I just can't bookmark anything. On some pages the dialogue box appears and on others it doesn't, but the result is the same everywhere: zilch.
And here is something really strange: when i press Cntrl-D on the Firefox start page, the bookmark dialogue box appears with "Board of Education" in the page title field. What is ''that'' all about?
I have tried all manner of fixes: deleting "places.sqlite" and "localstore.rdf" files, operating in "safe mode", disabling add-ons, re-installing Firefox, etc. etc.. Nothing seems to work. I am running the latest version of Zone Alarm Security Suite. It has an advanced browser security function that includes virtualization. I tried disabling the browser security option, but this did not solve the problem, although I still suspect that Zone Alarm could be the culprit somehow (it often is). \
Any and all ideas will be welcome as I am fresh out.The problem with bookmarking (which I thought I had eliminated with a clean reinstall) has returned after a Firefox update.

A scan with Malwarebytes did not detect any malware. Not in normal mode, not in safe mode.
And look at the solutions offered by st4dog and jimcou: they each deleted different registry values to get rid of XULRunner.
My problem remains as it was: I don't want to mess with my registry unless I know ''exactly'' what I am looking for (deleting). At least my PC is running, and scans with Malwarebytes, SpyBot SD, Pest Patrol and Zone Alarm AV reveal no infections. If I screw up the registry I think I'll be in a lot worse shape.
Again, until I have ''specific'' instructions on how to get rid of this thing I guess I'll just have to be content with using IE if I want to do any bookmarking.

After opening my yahoo mail window, I keep getting a very short and narrow dialogue box with the words "log into Xmarks" I cannot ... when it pops up, always upper left of my laptop screen and I try to get into my yahoo mail web page, I get a DING sound and cannot enter it ... everything is frozen. I have to hit CNTRL + ALT + ESC to get rid of it - and then reload my Firefox browser to get back to my yahoo e-mail page ... fortunately for me, Firefox re-stores a previous session ... Im currently learning about bridge using the CS2 version, and some tasks that I need to perform require a dialogue box on the bottom right hand corner where you can change things about the image-I think its the 'adjust' tab but it doesnt appear.

Its Mac OS/X Leopard. Running Adobe CS3. When I try and print a photo from Adobe CS3, I go to file print which displays a dialogue box (Titled Print). This dialogue box displays many print options e.g. size and orientation , position on the page etc but not a facility i.e dialogue box to select the paper type as an example e.g photo glossy , photo matt etc. These options are available from many of the other programs such as Pages and Easy Print and various other applications. Indeed I can take a photo from CS3 , convert to tiff as an example and print using these options from Easy Print. I would however like to access the full printer settings from CS3. I think this issue has been seen before in the professional range of printers.
I have spoken to Epson who say their printer and driver is fine as all the facilities work from other apps.
Adobe support said CS3 didnt support the preferences but to try a forum to see how people get round it. Hence here I am!
It is very strange that a photo application as advanced as CS3 wont let me choose a paper type for a semi professional printer like the Epson R2880. -
How do you navigate dialogue boxes using the tab key in Photoshop CS6 on Mac OS X Mavericks?
I know that seems really 101 and obvious, but I worked in Photoshop on a PC for many years, and using the tab key to navigate through every field/radial button/dropdown menu/etc. was never an issue. On the Mac OS X however, it only navigates through certain fields within a dialogue box. And before the guaranteed suggestion to change my Mac OS X Keyboard preferences to allow full keyboard access to "All Controls" instead of "Text Boxes and Lists Only", I have already tried this setting which did not resolve my issue.
Does/has anyone out there worked between both platforms and had this issue as well? I'm a Mac guy through and through, but I must say, this is the one thing that I think PC has a slight edge on. It's incredibly frustrating to have my keyboard workflow interrupted because I can't simply tab over to a certain field that is in a dialogue box which I'm currently working in...

Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
Applies to all filetypes as the issue is regarding dialogue boxes and not files themselves.
No error message.
Normal use.
It works on PC, but not on Mac.
2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 Processor
8 GB of memory
719 GB of space available on my main HD
This has never worked in any version of Photoshop I have used on any version of Mac OS X, but has worked consistently on every version of Photoshop that I have used on every version of Windows I've used (up to Windows 7)
I hope this provides enough information to get the ball rolling on this. I fear that there is no answer that will resolve the issue, but before I throw in the towel, I figured it was worth trying this forum since my web searches have turned up absolutely nothing of help.

ITunes Setup Assistant Warning Dialogue Box
I upgraded to version 6.0.4.2 and now a dialogue box appears each time I start iTunes.
It is titled "iTunes Setup Assistant" and has the following text: Warning! The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes.
It does go away when I click on the Ok button and I can import and burn songs so it seems be just a nuisance. How do I get rid of it permanently?

but if you'd prefer to try some quicker and dirtier techniques, you could:
(1) reboot and repair
reboot the PC (very important!) and do a repair install of itunes. go to your add/remove programs control panel, select itunes, click "change/remove" and then select "repair".
if no joy with that:
(2) download and install the GEAR drivers itunes uses for burning and importing
GEAR drivers
use the first link on that page, not the one that talks about "gearsec compatibility". if you have Norton Ghost on your PC, read the instructions very carefully. if you still run into trouble with Ghost after the driver install, see:

In HTTP you can send the response only once.The application where i have this requirement is an old one. In the application, I have there are some screens, whose control never goes to Servlet.
TO be more precise, 2 pages one HTML and another JSP. And the file to be downloaded is created when JSP is called from HTML page. And there is no interaction with Servlet. The JSP inturn calls a method in Java file (which is not a Servlet) and gets all the details including the file to be downloaded.
I have used window.open() to download the file(in JSP) in order to have Open/Save dialogue box.
But the approach is working fine in Windows XP systems but not in Windows2000. In Win00 machines it is directly opening the file in popup without giving the user any option for Open/Save.
Please let me know your suggestion on this.
