Advanced Relationship search capabilities?

Hello,
Does anyone know of a way (either standard functionality or not) we can search for accounts based on relationship category, including the BP the relationship is with?  The standard account search only allows you to search for accounts that, for example, have the "Has Parent" relationship, but does not allow you to specify the Parent account in the search criteria.  In order to giet this info, you have to perform an additional filter on the search results.
Does anyone know how this could be accomplished from the Account search?
thanks,
John Stelling

Thanks Anders,
I have tried your suggestion and it seems like it would work.  I can search for all accounts that contain a specific relationship, but when I enter either critera for Partner 1 or Partner 2, the search comes up empty.  I've tried entering both the Account ID and the Partner Name, and neither works.  I verified that the relationships do exist and are viewable correctly from either Partner.
Do you know what the Partner1/Partner2 Search fields are expecting as criteria?
Is there maybe something not setup correctly in the Relationship configuration?
Any assistance would be appreciated.  If I can get this to work, this would be a big win in functionality for us, as our users could save these searches that they access on a regular basis and speed up there workflow.
thanks!
John

  • Advanced Keyword Searches (for data on ftp)

Does anyone happen to know if running an Advanced Google Search will turn up data in the Public folder on my website that is not otherwise linked to my website? I have a couple of websites and I am trying to make sure I understand what is publicly available, what can be "scoured" and downloaded and how careful I really have to be with this.
I also have a Wordpress Blog that allows for a PASSWORD PROTECTED post but I was not able to find out from their help forum if the Images that were uploaded as part of this post, or the pdf's that were linked to in this post - are in fact available via an Advanced Google Search. Since I upload the pdf's and the images to a Public folder on the site I assume this is the case.
If so, I'd love to make sure I know how easy it would be for someone to download /all/ of this information.
THANKS for any tips on this topic.

  • Help! Advanced Product Search

    Hi guys,
I need some help setting up an advanced product search for a client.
We are over half way through the job and they have now decided they want a product search to be able to so they search the size of a generator by power rating and brand. So basically a dropdown with 0 - 4 kva / 4 - 8 kva / 8 - 12 kva and another with brand: Brand 1 / Brand 2 / Brand 3 etc. In theory it shouldn't be too hard, but with the limitations of BC I cannot see anyway to do this. I found a link to an old article on the old BC forums (http://www.businesscatalyst.com.au/ForumRetrieve.aspx?ForumID=52&TopicID=16139) where someone was trying to do a similar thing, but since its all redirected I cannot see a solution!
They essentially were using the custom fields to enter say the rating 3 kva and brand and trying to search that way.
In the support documentation it says you can add a '&SE=True' to the end of your Search action and it will search 'Tags' which is possible but it seems a little bit of a messy way to do it. Ideally I wanted to use a series of dropdown menus to make it easier.
If anyone has any advice or suggestions that would be fantastic. I am almost leaning towards getting a custom jquery search made up but it just seems like going to extremes when BC should be able to handle this.
    Cheers!
    Guy.

    Hi Guy,
If you disable JavaScript and go to http://www.businesscatalyst.com.au/ForumRetrieve.aspx?ForumID=52&TopicID=16139 you will be able to view that forum post. But I had a look at it and there is nothing useful in it.
Basically, there is nothing out of the box that will accommodate for that requirement. The only thing you can do is to create power and brand catalogues and provide the catalogue dropdown where the customers can choose the power or the brand it in the search form.
    Cheers,

  • Search Capabilities in E-Commerce....

    Hi Experts,
I would like to know the search capabilities in E-commerce.
Please tell me whether we can enhance the search capabilities? If yes, then how.
Please give some reference of SAP notes.
    Thanks.

    Hi
what kind search r u looking for.Do u want to search the product based on some enhanced attribute (like colour etc.)of product master.
for that u have to create list area of characteristic and assign that attibute in list area of characteristic.
Then u have to use that list area of characteristic in product catalog(i mean to say at header level of catalog sub area ).There after if u replicate that product catalog automatically additional attribute will also be replicated.
Then u have to do JSP enhancement to see that additional attribute and do search based on that attribute. For JSP enhancement u can get help from ISA development guide.
    if helpful reward me.

  • Whence people.aspx and advanced people search from 2010 to 2013?

In SP 2010 my enterprise search center contained the page people.aspx, which allowed users a specific landing page if they were interested in doing only people searches.  So far, my current 2013 installations have the peopleresults.aspx pages, but not
    the people.aspx page.
Particularly interesting to my customers from the 2010 people.aspx is/was the way the advanced search options had been handled.  In 2010 this was a javascript invoked drop-down of text boxes that allowed users to target particular crawled properties
(and build the queries for the users) without the users having to learn the (seemingly to them) arcane incantations of the one-box search used to do that.
Was that "Last Name" or "LastName" or "SurName"?  Is it ":" or "="? do I use single or double quotes?  You gret the idea.
Anyway, as we consider the migration path of our search page, what's the strategy for support of the 2010 'advanced' people search functions from the people.aspx page in 2013?
Am i supposed to create a new people.aspx patterned off the results.aspx page so they have a "people search starting point"?, and then also create a peopleadvanced.aspx page to support the targetted properties with proper text boxes (not ones
that say "contains all words", etc).  Does the javascript ToggleTeaser() box still exist in the 2013 one-box search web parts, or is it just gone?
Help in how i plan this migration, and explain this to my customers appreciated.

    Hi Norm,
SharePoint 2013 search center also contain people search, you can choose to search ‘Everything’, ‘People’, ’Conversations’ or ‘Videos’.
And for Advanced Search, you can enable it by editing the page in search center, click to ‘Edit the web part’ on the web part menu, then Settings->enable advanced search page, choose to enable it.
You will see the advanced search link in search page.
    Thanks,

  • More advanced mail search

How can I preform a more advanced email search by two or three criteria's. For example search for an email from [email protected] containing X within the email, with the subject containing Y?

Just ignore all the options and type the text you're searching for.

  • Advanced talent search - trex

    Hello,
we do have the following issue with the advanced talent search:
The search result shows 17 lines, but only 3 lines contain a name and person number.
The other 14 lines are empty.
The three displayed persons do have a picture assigned (archive link).
We suppose that persons without an assigned picture are just not displayed.
So we don't now how to resolve this problem. We don't have modified the advanced talent search.
    TIA,

    Hi Jürgen,
Please see the document Common TREX issues which specifies:
This issue occurs when Business Partner objects (object type BP) do not exist or are not synchronized for each Central Person object (object type CP).  See this blog on Business Partner objects in SAP HCM Talent Management.
So basically run the synchronization report to create/sync missing BP objects and it should be resolved.
    Best regards,
    Luke

  • More delicate search capabilities...or advanced search that is!

First, my personal header for most messages I post here:
"I am not a programmer, I know little about sql programming but I´m passionate about it, so I can learn if explained patiently".
    And now to the message:
There´s a table. It´s called "tasks". Now, there´s a search field in which I can typically search in any field of that table. But here´s the thing: my users need to perform more specific searches, meaning advanced ones.
I have created a page with my top 10 forms refering to the 10 most common attributes my users like to filter by, such as: task responsible, due date, status, etc. Each field in this form has a value of course (PX_ID, PX_Status, etc). It has a "go" button and that´s it!
I realised I have to write a query from scratch if I want to use those variables to build a report, and here´s the thing: I managed to do it if, and only of my user completes every search field. When one of them is not completed the result is always "nothing". If the user completes only 1 field, and not the others...he sees nothing!
Of course this version of advanced search easy, just write down the conditions and you´re set! The thing is, and here´s where my knowledge of PL/SQL is not nearly enough to try to figure it out: how do I make this form work, regardless of what the user puts in any field? I mean: how do I make the search work with only the fields completed by the user, without caring that there might be fields empty?
I was tipped to "left join" and "if", but it beats me :)
    Help pls?
    Thanks!
    Alejandro
And here comes the footer in case you didnt read the header:
"I am not a programmer, I know little about sql programming but I´m passionate about it, so I can learn if explained patiently".

    Alejandro,
    As one option...
If your table is called PEOPLE and has columns: first_name, surname, email_address etc.. and you have page items like PX_FIRST_NAME, PX_SURNAME, PX_EMAIL_ADDRESS where the user can type in what they want to search for, then your SQL query could be something like the following:
    SELECT * FROM PERSONS
    WHERE
    (:PX_FIRST_NAME is null
    OR
    first_name like :PX_FIRST_NAME)
    AND
    (:PX_SURNAME is null
    OR
    SURNAME like :PX_SURNAME)
    AND
    (:PX_EMAIL_ADDRESS is null
    OR
    email_address like :PX_EMAIL_ADDRESS)
This way it will not matter if a user leaves one or more search criteria items empty.

  • Advanced Search Capabilities in the Wiki

    Hello all,
Is it possible to limit Wiki searches to a single page in the Wiki. For example if I have Wiki named Food with a page named Fruit and I conduct a search for Apples I only what to identify any hits on Apples on the Fruit page not the entire wiki.
    Many thanks,
    Al

Load the page you want to search and use the browser's built-in search function.

  • How can you permanently add a new field to the Advanced User Search?

We have a number of USR UDF attributes that need to be used in the Advanced Search: Users window. These will be used very often so we would rather not require our Admins to have to select the Add Fields button, scroll down to the attribute they want, then enter the value to search on. We would much rather modify that Advanced Search screen such that the custom attributes we want to search on are listed permanently on that screen. I think there is a way to configure this but I just can't seem to find it.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thank you.
    -Dave Herrmann

The first suggestion here, http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e14308/conf_mangmnt.htm#CHDIEFGD, only allows me to add the UDF attribute to the Add Fields drop down list. It doesn't put the attribute on the screen by default. I was trying to avoid having our Admins select that attriubute from the Add Fields drop down list since they will be searching on this attribute pretty much all the time.
The second suggestion was to open up one of the OIM jar files and modify an xml file and then zip it back up. This will be overwritten on each OIM Bundle Patch so I really don't tlhink we can use that approach.
So, this is it? What I'm trying to do can't be done through a standard lookup change or something?

  • Advanced Index Search Crashes Acrobat Pro and Reader

I have a problem of which I've not been able to find a similar past experience. Acrobat Pro 9.5 and Reader X both crash on a Windows 7 PC whenever I initiate a search using our Adobe-created index files. These index files work for every other computer on our Network and all relevant users have the same permissions to access the indexes. I've trashed the preferences folder and even uninstalled and reinstalled both programs. The functions are not relegated to a particular user on the machine as the problem is the same across the board, so I've narrowed the problem down to being on the PC itself. I've not seen this as a known issue anywhere nor seen people write about this as a past issue. Any and all help appreciated, and thanks in advance!

    Bump. Y'know, for kids.

  • Options\Advanced\Update\Search Engines: Check this to receive automatic updates to your search engines. ??? Updates to my search engines?? Explain please.

The details are in the question.
The Firefox "Menu Bar" has a 'Tools' list/menu, wherein lies an 'Options' option.
This produces a window which presents eight further sets of options, which are selected by clicking on an 'icon' at the top of this window. Clicking on the "Advanced" icon, and then the "Update" tab, allows me to select, or deselect, the option to "...receive automatic updates to your search engines."
The Mozilla Support search engine was unable to find a match for the above question; can any of Mozilla's helpers locate the missing explanation?
What search engines are these? What updates are these?

Thank you. I had used the Customize Toolbar option to remove that item from the Navigation Toolbar as I like settings in the online version of one or other search engine, and I had not played with this feature to see if it was that flexible.
Now all I need is to find out what is indicated when Firefox "updates" these plugins, and whether they are of any actual use.
    Thank you for your contribution.
